Rucha was sitting in her bedroom.Now she was alone in her room.Rucha was feeling very depressed.She just couldn't adjust staying without her sister.She was so used to sharing her room with Alka that she just could not like to live in that room alone.She just needed a company.After all Alka was not going to come back for at least five years.That was the reason Rucha managed to print an advertisement for Paying Guest.Her mom didn't like this idea.She thought it was quite risky.But they needed money to complete Alka's five years education.Boarding was very expensive so mom finally agreed to take paying guest.Before mom she showed full confidence.But now that she started inquiring regarding Paying Guest.She thought about risks so she decided to select someone regarding whom she had some information.Then suddenly her phone rang.A girl was speaking.Her voice was very kind and innocent.She was making inquiries about paying guest advertisement.Rucha thought she was just perfect so Rucha happily gave her address.But she made it clear to her that her mom would decide so she could not say that she allowed to stay.That girl was very upset after hearing this.She started requesting her that she needed a place.She had to come there for her younger sister.Rucha finally told her address in details.That girl said"thanks."Then she disconnected the phone.Rucha suddenly remembered.She totally forgot to ask about her name and number.Rucha was feeling very bad about her.She went to hall to convince her mom.Her mom was cutting vegetables.Rucha sat near her mom.Rucha"Mom a girl just called me."Now mom started looking at her suspiciously.She had guessed that some one had convinced Rucha to give her a chance of staying there.But mom knew Rucha was too emotional to make such decision.Mom was going to take that girl in home only after proper inquiries.Mom felt that she was taking big risk by letting Paying Guest inside her house.She never liked that idea.But as Rucha explained financial needs mom had no option other than agreeing with her.Mom was still not quite comfortable with this idea.Mom"Allowing an unknown girl in our house.I still don't think it's safe.""Mom but I think she is a nice girl.""Now Rucha you are not mature enough to decide these things.You normally get carried away by sentimental talks.""But mom...""No but I will decide after seeing that girl and my decision will be final."Rucha didn't argue because inside her mind.She was totally agreed with mom.She never able to thought rationally when some one emotionally blackmailed her.So she just kept quiet.After some time door bell rang and a innocent looking girl came inside.Mom told her to sat on the sofa opposite her.Rucha really liked her.But she remembered mom's word so she did not open her mouth.That girl told mom.Her name was Sita.Sita told mom that her family.Luckily her mother turned out to be mom's childhood friend so mom really liked her and paying guest was selected.Sita told mom that she had one elder sister who read the advertisement and suggested that she should stay here.Until she was transferred back by office to stay with her family.Sita expected that she would be transferred in one or two years.Mom really liked this.Mom didn't want a paying guest who permanently stick to them.But Sita didn't mentioned anything about her younger sister and her studies.Rucha found it strange.She thought Sita must be lying on phone.After thinking about it she just didn't like idea of sharing room with her.The girl who lied to her on first occasion could not be trusted.But since mom already made the decision.There was no way to stop her.
After entering the room Rucha smiled at Sita.She wanted to keep friendship with Sita so Rucha smiled at her.But Sita gave her an artificial smile and ignore her.Rucha just hated her for this kind of behaviour.When Sita talked on phone Rucha thought she was nice and friendly girl.But now she could clearly see it was her poor judgement.Sita was not interested in talking to her.She was an insult to her name.From beginning she was acting like snob.She took one bed and started setting all things on one side of bed.She was arranging all in such away that her things didn't get mix up with Rucha's things.Rucha really liked that she didn't want to use others things.But then Sita started complaining."Here in this room there is just one dressing table.What do I suppose to do with my things?""We can share it.I will take left side and you can take right side.""No way.My all cosmetics are imported.I don't want them to get mix up.I will just keep them in bag.You know I want my cosmetics separate and untouched."After that Sita gave a smile which told Rucha her life in this room was not going to be easy.Rucha just could not believe the girl who spoke such nicely on phone was so miserable.Rucha just sat quietly in her own room and Sita took all control of the room.Rucha was outsider in her own room.Rucha sadly got out of her room.As soon as she entered in the hall,mom looked at her.Mom"What happened?"Rucha slowly whispered everything to mom.Rucha"Mom she was going to be pain in neck.I just couldn't believe it.She spoke so sweetly on phone.""They always spoke sweetly before getting room.Their true colours came out only when they got the room.""Mom you have selected her.""Yes.But just because she was not a thief.You gave me guarantee about her nature so I don't made inquiries in it.Any way she would leave our place after some days.I don't want permanent paying guest.""But mom she is my worst dream.""Shh!Keep quiet.If she heard what you said she would create more problems."Then finally Sita came out of room.Sita"I want some thing to eat and drink."Mom"Kitchen is on left side.Go and cook whatever you like?""What I have to cook my food?""Of course; you had to cook your food.You can't accept us to do it for you.""But don't you have cook?""No.We don't.""I just don't understand.I have to go in office.You can't expect me to cook lunch before going.""So you expected that I woke up in morning and make tiffin for you.Then you are thinking in wrong way.""What is this?No dressing table and now I even have to cook food.""I am sorry.But this is the way things are.We cook our dinner and lunch.We can make for you.But for breakfast you have to make it by yourself."Sita angrily went in room.After some time she went in kitchen.She was making lot of noise.Rucha"Mom she was too much.I am sure she was not in her senses.She expected us to cook food for her.What did she think of herself?""It doesn't matter.It's her problem.But I just don't like her.I just want her out of my house.""Mom isn't there some trick to do it?""I just don't know.I can't just throw her out.""Then suddenly phone rang.Rucha picked up the phone.Rucha"Hello.""This is Inspector Arun from Police station.We have found a girl who is seriously injured and had your address in her pocket."Rucha was suddenly very scared.Alka's smiling face came before her eyes.She knew it was impossible.Alka was safe in her hostel so that girl couldn't be Alka.But she was very scared so she asked"What is her age?""For 25 to 35 years."Rucha was relieved her sister Alka was just 20 years old.Rucha "What happened to her?""Actually she was involved in accident.You have to come to hospital."Rucha could feel anger in that Inspector's voice.She thought that Inspector Arun Believed they knew that girl.But why didn't police just ask that girl?Rucha forgot to ask him that question or he disconnected before hearing any response.But these things didn't change that fact they were in big trouble.Mom was already looking at her.Rucha told mom everything.Rucha"Mom I am so scared.I think that Inspector is thinking we knew her.""Now you don't get scared.We both will go there and sort out that matter.May be she is some person we knew?""Mom but that will mean that we have to leave our house in Sita's hand."After hearing this mom looked tense.Rucha"Mom we can't do this.We don't know her properly.She is such mean girl.I just don't trust her a bit.Mom she is...""Will you stop this Rucha?You are the one who wanted paying guest in home.Now that we find one.You are telling me.You can't trust her.We can't stay with her every day.I am sure that she is not thief.""But mom.""No buts now.I just want to go there and see who that girl is."At that moment Sita came out of kitchen.Sita"I can't find anything.I need help in kitchen."Mom"Sorry.But we have to go to hospital.""Hospital?Who is sick?""Our relative.Rucha hurry up.We must get ready now."Rucha nodded.But Sita stopped them.Sita"I heard that you are talking to police so you are involved in crime.""What?""I just don't trust you.I think you have killed your last Paying Guest and taken her money so I want my advance back.I don't want to stay here."Now mom was very angry.Mom put all her money on table.Rucha was pretty sure instead of Sita Shurpankha was proper name for her.Mom put all her money on table."Take this and leave my house immediately and let me tell you.You are my first paying guest and last paying guest.I don't want people like you in this house.""As if I am interested in staying here who shall be wanted to stay in this garbage can."Rucha heard this heated argument.She just watched.She thanked god that her mom controlled her anger.But when Sita began to pack her things.She carefully watched her.Then she noticed Sita was packing some of Rucha's lipsticks,powders and perfumes etc.Rucha was shocked.Rucha "You are taking my things."Instead of apologizing she screamed on Rucha"I am not a thief.I just packed it by mistake.If I have taken it with me,I shall surely courier it back to you."Sita threw all the Rucha's stuff out of her bag on her bed.Then she went away.Rucha was so happy that she finally got rid of Sita.Then her mom came in her room which reminded her of her problem.
When they reached to the hospital,they were totally confused.They didn't know where to find Inspector Arun.Finally they found him."Inspector I am Rucha and this is my mom."At first Inspector looked at them.As if he didn't know them.Then he suddenly smiled."You are relatives of that strange girl who don't remember anything."Now Rucha and her mom were very scared.They never heard such a thing.They always thought it was television fantasy.Rucha "You mean that girl may not remember any thing for many years and she will have to settle with unknown people and she..."Inspector Arun smiled"Stop Stop!!It is not film.She will slowly remember everything after some time.But if we found her relatives.It was better because there was a photo of a small girl.Do you know her?"Inspector Arun showed them a photo of two girls.One was young lady and other was small child.Both the girls were good looking.There was similarity in their feature.They were seemed like mother and daughter.But elder one looked young to became mother such big child.Rucha"We don't know any of them.""Now that Inspector Arun was shocked."What did you say?You don't any of them.""Yes Sir."Then he pointed the photo of that young lady"You don't know her.""No sir."Then he turned mom and showed her same photo.Mom also nodded negatively."How is that possible she had your address in paper?""But we don't her.""Do you know this handwriting?"He showed them a small paper.They saw the handwriting.They just didn't know anything about it.Rucha "We never saw this handwriting.""That's impossible.It is your address right?""Of course no doubt about it.But we don't know even that handwriting."Inspector told them to follow him.They followed him.Inside the room there were two patients.One was the young lady in the picture.She was crying.Then Inspector pointed towards Rucha and her mom and asked her "Do you know them?"When she raised her face.They saw her eyes were swollen.May be she was crying for lot of time?That girl."I don't remember my name.I don't know who I am?Where I live?how do I suppose to remember them?"Mom"Actually I don't think we know each other at all."Inspector Arun started looking angrily at mom."If you don't know her,why did she was carrying your address in her pocket.""How do I suppose to know?I just tell you I don't know her.""Mam If you are hiding something from me.It's better you confess it now.By hiding truth you are creating problems for yourself.""But we really don't know her."Suddenly that girl started begging to them.She was asking them to help her.Her condition was worse she didn't remember anything.Now she was there alone without any help.Rucha and mom started feeling pity for her.After all if she didn't remember her family.How did she manage to live?Rucha"Inspector Arun if she don't remember about her family what will happen to her?""We put her in institution who take care of needy women.But that will not be good future for her.It will destroy her and you are the one who are responsible for all this."Mom"Why are you blaming us?We don't know her.""Then how did she got your address?"Then suddenly mom got the idea to save them."We had given an advertisement for paying guest in newspaper.May be she take it from there?""No that address has personal touch small details like bus stop is also given in it."Rucha"But we never gave anyone our address except Sita.""Who is Sita?"Rucha told Inspector everything in details."That is strange.Anyway as per doctor she will slowly remember everything."Rucha and her mom nodded their heads.But they had watched too much television to believe it.
That night was very stressful night for them.Rucha couldn't forget that girl's face.She just couldn't sleep.Then her phone rang Sita was literally screaming on her because Inspector phoned her.Sita"Why did you lied to him?I never talked to you on phone.""You did."Rucha once again repeated everything.Sita"I never phoned you and don't have younger sister.You better clarify this to Inspector."After saying this Sita disconnected the phone.Rucha was totally confused now.After hearing Sita's voice on phone she was totally convinced that it was not Sita's voice.Then she suddenly thought that girl in hospital had same voice and Sita never mentioned any younger sister.This girl had sister who was in photo.All pieces were started falling in right place.She immediately told mom everything.Rucha"Mom I shall phone that Inspector immediately.""Stop.I think we must take some lawyer with us.""Mom it is not required.We are not criminals.""We are not.But what about that girl?We don't know anything about her.""Okay.Mom call the lawyer."Then they went to Inspector.But their lawyer was with them and Inspector Arun didn't like it."I just asked for your cooperation."Lawyer"Of course.They have come to cooperate.I am here just for safety sake."Finally Inspector accepted it.When Rucha told him everything.He asked for number on which the phone came.It was P.C.O. number.When he inquired about it.He found out their was an accident on few kilometer away from spot.When they went there,they found out that the girl was Kiran who had done wrong driving and her car was crashed with tree.Then they made inquiries about other passengers.They found out there was small girl who was younger sister of Kiran injured.Her leg was fractured and Kiran took her to hospital and just vanished.Then Inspector found that for some time Kiran wandered around.Then finally she fainted and people took her to hospital because of her strange statements.They called Police.So they finally found her name.They went happily in hospital to tell her about her identity.But she was a sleep.They waited for many hours.When She woke Inspector Arun asked her"How are you?"But Kiran asked"Where is my sister?"Inspector Arun was clearly disappointed."You remembered everything.""Of course."She told everything until she took her sister in hospital.Inspector Arun was very upset.He turned to doctor."How did she remember everything now?""She was suffering with Dissociative Amnesia.Person suffered by this because of Psychological Problem.In Kiran's case she was suffering from it because of mistake in her driving.Her younger sister was hurt.It shocked her."Then suddenly Rucha asked Kiran "Do you remember me?""Sorry I don't remember you.Who are you?"Mom"It doesn't matter.Get well soon.Bye."They all went out.Then Inspector Arun said"We just wasted our time."Rucha"No.You help us.We got rid of Sita just because of you."Inspector Arun smiled."Ya.So finally I turned in to savior for some one and they laughed."
