Duty of person
Slowly after efforts finally Ruby got the job.Rajukaka was very happy about it.Ruby was suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder.Due to which everyone hated her.Even her education was suffered.Ruby was just good for nothing.She always insulted everyone.But after treatment for many months she finally took hotel management diploma and finished it.Now Ruby was expert in every type of cooking.She no longer cared about her dresses.Ruby was no more wasting her money on unnecessary shopping so Rajukaka was very happy.Now she had finished her education and finally found a job.Ruby's job was not job with big salary or status.But by experience Rajukaka had learned to appreciate small thing also.He had kindheartedly praised her.Ruby was very happy and confident about herself.Ruby happily went into that hotel.Hotel was nice but not big one.In her old days Ruby used to think about her status.But now she knew that she didn't have any status until she started doing her job and prove herself.She happily entered inside hotel.The cleaners were cleaning hotel and making it ready for customers.By looking at them she felt that she must had to make her kitchen ready for customers.After all customers were coming to eat food not just to enjoy interior.She first went to manager.He looked at her every carefully.He looked inspected her from foot to head.Then he started asking her questions.Many of his questions were too personal not even related to job.But still Ruby answered them because she just wanted that job and she had nothing to hide.Finally he told her that she could go to her work.When Ruby went inside,she smiled at other people.But none of them returned her smile.They just continued with their work.Manager clapped his hand and screamed"Everybody listen to me."Now they all were forced to look at her."She is your new colleague.She had just finished her college and she is going to cook with you."Ruby smiled again.In hope that she would get some smile at least this time.But no one smiled at her.Manager"Jack come here."A middle aged cook came ahead."You are suppose to train her.""Okay Sir."Then suddenly a man entered.They were scared to see him so Ruby guessed he must be an important person.Ruby immediately greeted him good morning in pleasant voice.But that man also ignored her.It was turned out to be Ruby's worst day.Until now everyone seemed to be ignoring her on her new job.
That man screamed more loudly than Manager.Ruby literally had to put her hand on her ears."Manager how dare you let this unknown girl in my hotel kitchen."So finally Ruby knew that this important person was owner of hotel.Under whom she had to work.After hearing this Ruby thought that she might quite this job before joining it.But then she remembered that this time she had promise to her parents that she would stick to this job.Until she found new job.She had to do it so she just stood quietly listening to them.Manager"Sir just relax.How did I permit unknown person in kitchen?She is our new cook.Just fresh one.Newly passed."Ruby once again smiled.But owner did not return it this time also."What is your name?""Ruby."Then he looked in all her qualifications."Good.I like your results.Have you ever worked before?"Now this was a tricky question.Ruby had a long list of former employers.But all of them had thrown her out for her high handedness and rude behavior.None of them was going to recommend her.Finally she remembered Mr.Som who would said some good things about her.Ruby"I worked in Mr.Som's cafe.""Okay.I knew Som very well.He is very good business man.How did you got that job before finishing diploma?""Actually my father worked there for many years.""Your father?!Are you Rajukaka's daughter."Ruby just nodded.Now owner of hotel was finally smiling at her."Welcome to our hotel"But this time Ruby gave one forced smile.
Then Ruby went with Jack who gave her apron.Jack was teaching her.But there was no talking or gossiping in kitchen which was strange usually people like to talk.But in here there was literally pin drop silence.Ruby was just working.Finally someone talked to her.Another girl chef"So you know our boss?!""No.""Now don't lie.He had fired one cook just give you this job.""Nonsense who told you this rubbish."Another fellow"Then why did he fire the last cook?""Now how do I suppose to know that?Don't you guys remember this is my first day on a job?Do you think I am some kind of astrologer who has come to solve your problem?Get a grip and don't rub me on wrong side."Then Ruby just continued working.She could hear that they were all gossiping about her.But she just concentrated on her work.She didn't want to fall in trap by getting angry.They were unnecessarily abusing her.But it was her first day so she just preferred to stay silent.When she was about leave;Jack her teacher admired her before everyone.Jack said her skills were the best and he liked her attitude so her worst day gave her the best result and she decided to continue with the job.When she went home.She was nervous regarding everything.This time she was behaving in a good way.Still her co-workers were hating her.Now a days Rajukaka had began to give personal attention to her problems.He talked to her like a friend not in harsh tone.Rajukaka"Ruby what's wrong?Why are you upset?"Ruby narrated the whole incidence."Now tell me.Did I misbehave in anyway?Did I insult them?""Not at all.""Still they were all ganging against me.They were insulting me.How did I suppose to act?""Sweet heart now don't panic.You did your best.Now they kept their mind closed is their fault.You should not take it on your heart.Having friend is just a matter of luck.Look at me I worked honestly for so many years.But I didn't able to make any friends in Bakery.But my boss is always good to me and I am happy work there."Ruby smiled now."Dad you can able to make friends because your bakery didn't have staff when you start working and now new employee are your juniors."Rajukaka also smiled.Ruby had found his trick so he started laughing.Slowly their laughter filled their home.Many members of family were laughing without knowing the jokes specially Ruby's small niece and nephew.
Next morning when Ruby got ready to go on job.Rajukaka talked to her."Ruby just try to control your anger.They may try to make you angry.If you do some mistake,owner will get angry at you and you must try to control your anger or owner will throw you away.""Okay Dad."That day as soon as Ruby entered in kitchen,she was called by owner.She clearly disliked by others.She just didn't know but Jack patted on her shoulder and told her to go.When she went inside the owner and manager were sitting side by side.Manager"Ruby you may sit?"Ruby obeyed him.Owner"So how do you like staff?"Ruby gave forced smile."Very nice sir.Jack is just greatest teacher.He helps me in everything.He taught..."Then Ruby began to tell them everything taught by Jack.She just wanted to avoid the issue of other staff.They let her tell each and everything and then finally Manager asked her most unwanted question."You don't told us anything about rest of the staff.You are just talking about Jack.""Actually Jack was such good mentor that I go carried away.All other staff was also good.""Now don't pretend.I heard it all."Now Ruby was more nervous.Their claims that she was related to owner were false.But it could tarnish owner's image so he might dismiss her from job.Ruby"I don't pay attention to those nonsense.I just concentrate on my work.""Good.But I am suggesting you to do one more job.Try and spy on them.""Spy why?""Our neighbour was trying to by this hotel for many day.But we are not ready to sell so he has set some spies in our staff.That spy may try to poison the food.""What?"Ruby literally screamed after hearing this.She looked at owner who was sadly nodding his head and confirming the news.Ruby"You mean to say they are trying to kill people!""Of course it was the reason behind firing the last cook.We found him red handed.""What?Did he kill people?""No.We stopped him on time.One day while taking my round I found that man was looking at his bag again and again.I thought something was wrong so I immediately told Manager to look in the matter."After that Manager continued with story.Manager"When sir told me about it.I immediately asked the cook to show his bag.That fellow showed me his bag.But guilt was written on his face.Then he took out all things from bag.In that bag he was carrying rat poison.Can you believe it?He was going to kill customers."Manager was banging his hand loudly on table.Ruby was very scared after hearing this.But by looking at Manager she was more scared.Then owner patted on his shoulder and told him to calm down.Manager"I am sorry.Did I scare you?Actually I get so angry after remembering it that I lost my temper."Ruby"I can understand your feelings.I shall feel same way if something like this had happened with me."They both smiled at her.Owner"Now I expect that since you knew everything.You will be more careful.""Okay sir."After hearing this Ruby was very scared.She even avoided looking at other people.She slowly started working.But she could not able to keep her mouth shut.She finally told Jack everything.Jack was shocked.Jack"Who told Sit this nonsense?No one is trying to poison anybody.The last cook was carrying that poison because there was a big rat in his house.I had bought that with mu own hand.I think boss has lost his head."Ruby"May be I shall go and clarify.""Don't even try.Next day you will be thrown out of this job.""What?""Our bosses are really strange.They just continue talking like this and if you say anything against them.They start suspecting you.They even start suspecting that you are poisoning everyone.They are just like that you shall have to ignore them.If you go again them,you are the next one to be thrown out of job."Ruby was now scared.She started thinking that taking this job was her biggest mistake.Ruby"May be I should just leave this job?""Do as you wish?But if you leave suddenly they will get more suspicious and they will ruin your name.""What do you mean by ruining my name?""They may be phone your ex-employer and ask fishy questions about you like have he found any money missing while you were working there.""But their money will not be stolen then why do they ask such a question.""That is their attitude.I am telling you this because you are like my daughter.I suggest you that you may stay here until you find a job with better payment and then you can give them good reason.""This is too much.How can two person be mad like this?I just don't believe it."Then suddenly another staff girl was called.The same one who was arguing with Ruby.Next moment she came out crying.She told everyone that she was fired.Suddenly Ruby asked"But Why?You are a excellent cook."That girl looked at Ruby and said"They are owner and manager.They can dismiss any staff.""Then you can go to.."Jack stopped Ruby.Jack"Don't say it."That girl patted on Ruby's shoulder."Jack is right.I am sorry.You are not behind this firing process and don't say anything about union.I am better off in finding another job.Than fighting for lifetime."Then that girl packed up her things and went away.
Ruby was now very scared.She just ran to meet her dad.Rajukaka was busy in working.Ruby started helping him.Rajukaka smiled happily.He really liked Ruby's attitude.Slowly Ruby got involved in that work.She just forgot that she was no longer working there.There was a big line of customers before her.Finally that day was over.Those waiters assumed that she joined the cafe again so they said"Welcome Back."to her.Ruby just didn't know how to response that and she said only "Thanks."They even made friendship with her and told her to forgot past arguments.She just nodded.Then finally Som came to talk to her.Som"How is your life?"Ruby"Okay."Rajukaka clearly felt something was wrong.Rajukaka"What is it Ruby?Come on tell me."Ruby started crying.Som was shocked to her like that.Slowly she told everything to Som.Som"Oh my god!You are working in that hotel.Raju they are too much eccentric.They think that someone want to capture their hotel.When no wishes to do it.Very strange people and I suggest you don't let Ruby work there.I will keep her here."Rajukaka was easily agreed to this.But Ruby wanted to help and understand the matter.Ruby"But I want know why are they acting like that?Two person can't be mad at one time.""May be you can ask your doctor?"Ruby liked that idea.Next day she went to her doctor and told him the whole story.Doctor"I can't tell you usually without seeing them.But as a friend I tell you it is possible.In Shared Psychotic Disorder one or more people develop a delusional as a result of a close relationship with a psychotic person who is delusional.In this case owner is dominant person in pair.He feel desperately isolated from others due to numerous psychological problems.This person seeks out another person who can serve as on ally.The dependent person is a manager.He needs financial security from owner and is therefore willing to surrender to the delusions of owner.""Then may be I shall try to convince them?"Doctor smiled"Try if you wish.But convincing they is very hard."So Ruby went in hotel with resignation.She could have lied like Jack told her.But they laughed at her and owner began to convince her.His convincing power was too good.Sometimes Ruby literally believed him.But then she remembered doctor's word so after hearing the owner.She stood quietly and said"Sorry Sir.I don't believe you.This is my resignation and this is my psychiatrist's number.Please go and visit him."After saying this she literally ran out of there.Still she could clearly heard the voices of the things thrown.She never went back to that hotel or never walked on that road.She was just too scared.She just did her duty as person.But in return she got nothing but insults and curse.You can't help everyone.
