Sneha was so glad that she had created a perfect picture.She made so many efforts while creating it.It was so wonderful whole family was watching her.She was doing it for hours after hours.She put every favourite colour in it and made it proper.She had so limited colours today because it was not Diwali's last day but most of colours where finished.She was so glad that finally she made it.She saw that whole family was coming to observe her Rangoli which was supposed to be idol of Ganesha.Sneha was doing it for such a long time.Her mother-in-law Sudha slowly looked out of kitchen.Sneha was new in that house.She was newly married bride and just after some days her husband Varun had to go to U.S. for his job.Sneha must be upset about it.Sudha could easily sense it after all her husband left her just in few days with her in-laws.She must had felt that it was unfair but she understood needs of his career and understood everything.Sudha really liked her attitude.Sudha was also missing her son but he had to go for his future.When Sneha accepted it happily,Sudha felt it so great so it was Sneha's first Diwali at her husband's house but still without her husband.Sudha didn't like it but life had taught her that tough decisions were necessary.They took it and Sneha accepted it.Now Sudha felt that it was her responsibility to take care of her daughter-in-law.She was pleased that Sneha was enjoying making Rangoli design.But now it seemed to long to her after all she was doing it for many hours.Sudha"Sneha did you finish it?Sweet heart you are doing it in that heat for hours.It is not good for you.""Yes Mommy.I am coming inside."But still Sneha didn't come inside for some time.Finally Sudha went out and she found that Sneha was just looking at Rangoli.She had created Idol of Ganesha who supposed to protect them from all crisis.But she was watching it with such a tension as if there were some crisis on that Ganesha.Sudha found it so funny that Sneha was trying to protect that god who supposed to protect whole world.After all it was just Rangoli not real god that someone could insult him.Any way in Sudha's view no one could neither harm god nor insult him.It was just people who got insulted and created issues.She turned to Sneha.Sudha"Sneha come inside."But Sneha didn't move.
Sneha"Mommy but if some one spoil it.""Now don't worry.Why should someone do that?It will be fine.Come on it is just Rangoli.You are not staying whole day outside to protect it?"Sneha didn't answer her for few moments.Suddenly Sudha felt that she should say that she wanted to stay but finally she nodded her head negatively.Then she went inside with Sudha.Until now Sneha was staying with her parents because Sneha was looking so upset when Varun went away that Sudha suggested her that she could go to her parents.She stayed there for few days and just returned on Diwali.Sudha wanted to chat with her but she didn't know about Sneha's choices.Sneha was staying with them for few months but she never talked much about herself.Then Sudha thought that she could talk to her about her parents.Sudha"So how is everything at your parent's house?"Sneha looked so upset that Sudha felt that she said something wrong.Sneha said with anger"They are fine."Sudha was so confused when this happened.Suddenly Prashant her husband entered to eat food.He sensed something was wrong.Prashant looked at Sudha questioningly who showed with gestures that Sneha was upset so Prashant suggested "Maybe we should go to film today?What did you say?"Sudha smiled happily and said"Perfect.What did you say Sneha?"Sneha "No..No.I don't want to think about it.That rangoli.."Prashant"Is very pretty.."Sudha"And we are going to picture.That's decided."They both sensed that Sneha was not ready.But they had to force Sneha so they decided not to pay attention to her protests and started getting ready after all she was missing Varun.If she kept like this at home she would miss him more so they decided that they would do this for her best.They didn't let Sneha say anything.Sneha was forced to her to do it.After eating lunch Sudha decided to relax before going to film.Sudha"Sneha do you like to sleep?"Sneha smiled and said"No.I will read book" and then she took some book started reading it.Sudha felt that it was perfect for her because Sneha was looking happy with that book.
Sudha was sleeping peacefully for some time then she woke up by some sound.Sneha was screaming on some one.Sudha ran out to see what happened.Sudha"Sneha what happened?Why are you screaming?""Mom those children of neighbours playing about Rangoli.They could have destroyed it."Sudha relaxed a bit.Sudha "Ohh!!That's all.I was so scared.""Mom that is not alright.Don't you see?This Rangoli got idol of Ganesha.It should be protected I don't want any bad omen.""Of course..Of course.Now will you relax?Let's go to movie.""But what about this Rangoli if some kid spoiled it.""Then you can make another."Sneha was so shocked."Mom it will bring crisis on our house and destroy it.I can't let it happen.""Ok..Ok.I will find some idea.Now get ready.""No.I will protect this Rangoli."Sneha just kept watching it.Sudha was so shocked.She just didn't understand what did she suppose to say after this.Sneha turned into so stubborn that she was shocked.She had never seen Sneha like this.But then Sudha felt that she hardly knew Sneha that much.Sudha felt that she should get ready and then convince her.Then Sudha went inside to get ready.After some time she came out,she saw Prashant was watching Sneha in strange way.Sudha didn't like it.She knew that her husband was just watching her with good intention.But she felt that Sneha might take it in wrong way.Sudha"What happen?""Look at her."Sneha was putting bricks around her Rangoli.Prashant"What is she doing?And from where did she brought them?"Sudha"Just relax.Let me ask her."Sudha had to first control her feeling then she asked sweetly"Sneha what are you doing?""Mom I am creating wall against them so that no one can destroy Rangoli."Prashant"But no one can also able to see it.What is use of it then?""Sneha, Papa is saying right.You can't hide Rangoli like that."Sneha smiled"It's not permanent.I did it just because we are going out to film.Let's go.I will get ready in two minutes."Sneha ran inside to get ready.Sudha and Prashant were looking at each other with shock.Prashant"That was strange idea.""I know but now a days girls do many strange things just ignore it.Let her be as she wish."Prashant nodded.Then after some time Sneha came out when they all started going out once again.Sneha checked her Rangoli.While Sudha and Prashant were checking all windows and everything,Sneha was making sure Rangoli was fine.Then finally they went out.But Sneha was still looking at Rangoli.
Sneha had spend so many hours on doing that Rangoli because she spend so many hours in heat of summer.She was so exhausted by it.She was trying to create Rangoli.After all she wanted to create it properly in life,she did everything step by step inside that Rangoli.She had created many types of colours in that Rangoli.But this time she had created it with limited two colours.But still it was so perfect in life.She never used just limited colours and created Rangoli.She was trying to make Rangoli.She had kept concentrating on that Rangoli so then she felt that she must had to concentrate for so many time.After all she did biggest mistake in life.She had made it in so hard way that she didn't want it to be spoiled now.Even when she was watching film,she just kept remembering Rangoli.After some time when they came out,Sneha was not happy.Sudha"What happen?You don't like that film?"Sneha gave a forced smile.Sneha"It is nice."Both Prashant and Sudha sensed that some thing was totally wrong.Then Sudha started watching film.She started sensing something was wrong because she felt that Sneha was watching clock again and again.Sudha was so confused.She felt that Sneha might wanted to do some work but she was shy to tell about it.Sudha"What happen?Do you want to go somewhere?""No..No..I was just concerned about that Rangoli."Sudha was so shocked.She had never heard more ridiculous lie.Sneha was concerned about that Rangoli.Any way they had not made any dinner at home so they were forced to go to hotel.When they entered Prashant was so delighted,he always loved those restaurant but Sudha never permitted.He considered it as big occasion and started giving order.Sudha wanted to stop him but then she felt it was okay.Sneha was more upset when that order got big because then she said"Mom is it okay for Dad to eat so much?"Prashant was so shocked because Sneha was saying it with such a anger as if he had done some crime.Sudha"Totally fine.Let him eat as he wish.He is physically okay during this check up.""But Mom.."Prashant"I know how to take care of my health.I can eat one day this food."When Sneha understood that no one was going to support her,she sat quietly.Then that order began to become late,Sneha started just looking at watch.Sneha"Mom I am getting late can I go?"Sudha"At this time?Where?""Just at home.""Home?""To my mother's home."Sudha was confused now.She didn't understand why did Sneha wanted to go back again."No..No..My friend's home.I will just come back.Soon can you give me keys?"Sudha was so confused.But finally she gave them.Sneha ran out while Sudha and Prashant kept watching it.
Finally Sudha and Prashant came back when their dinner was over.They both had enjoyed that day fully.Even when they sensed that Sneha was not happy about it.But they both felt that it was just generation gap.She didn't like to spend time with them.But then Sudha started discussing that it was wrong.They both decided that they should talk to Varun about this and tell him to convince her nicely.Then they both were coming when suddenly their neighbour came running towards them.Their neighbour"What happen?"Sudha"What?Nothing.Why are you asking?""Your daughter-in-law is sitting near that rangoli for hours.""What?But she said that she was going to friend's house."Prashant"Something must had happen there."They both ran towards their house.Sneha was sitting near Rangoli and watching it.Sudha came near her and patted on her shoulder.Sneha jumped by her touch then starting laughing.It was clear by her face that she was neither crying nor upset.They looked at their neighbour with anger who just ran away.Sudha"Why are you sitting like that near Rangoli?""Nothing much.I just don't want it to be spoiled."Sudha was so confused.Finally they went inside and told Sneha to joined them.Sneha went inside.After that day Sudha started noticing that Sneha just kept watching that Rangoli.At beginning Sudha felt that Sneha would come in kitchen after some days but then she realised that Sneha was not going to come in kitchen.She was not interested.But Sudha found worst thing that every time Sneha was just watching that Rangoli.One day Sudha came out,Sudha"Sneha come to kitchen and help me.""I will come from tomorrow."Sudha was so confused.She was sure this tomorrow was never going to come.One day Sneha's Mom called her.Sneha didn't even come to take phone.Sudha was forced to gave it outside.Sneha was just sitting near that Rangoli from day to night.One day she even didn't become ready to eat on table.She just took food outside and sat near Rangoli while eating it.Whole neighbourhood was watching them with strange way.Some neighbour even taunted Sudha about her attitude.Sudha tried hard to convince everyone that she was not keeping her daughter-in-law outside.Sneha was doing this with her wish but no one seemed to be willing to listen to them.Sudha was so confused.Even Prashant was upset now because everyone started to taunt him also.Prashant"I just don't understand that why she is acting this way to us.We have not done anything wrong.""I will talk to her."Then Sudha went out.She tried to convince Sneha to come out but she was willing to listen to her.Sneha just insisted that she must sit there.
Slowly Sneha became strange exhibit to every one.She never let any kid come near that Rangoli.In whole Diwali she just kept near it.She didn't even let cleaner broom near it.All place around it was dusty.She suddenly started claiming that if that Rangoli get destroyed then it would harm Varun.Suhda and Prashant didn't understand that what did they suppose to do so then called her parents.But her parents just kept insisting on one thing that this all happened because Varun left her like this.Sudha and Prashant tried to convince them that Varun would take her after some days.But he had to settle a bit.Her parents also started claiming that Varun had second wife there so he was not taking her.They tried to take Sneha back with them but she didn't come.Sneha just screamed hysterically when they tried to take her.Then they left.Sudha and Prashant were so confused.They called Varun and told him every thing.Varun was so shocked.Varun"I can't able to come.But can you do me a favour?""What is it son?We are always with you.""Take her to psychiatrist.I know it all happening because of her parents.Please tell her to Psychiatrist.""We will but do you think she will listen to us?""I will talk to her."Then Varun talked with her for hours and finally he threatened her that he would not take care of himself if she didn't do as he told her.Then finally she agreed to go.But then she phoned her friend and told her to sit near Rangoli.Her friend found it strange but decided that she would help her.Finally they went to psychiatrist after long wait finally their number came.They told every thing to Psychiatrist who answered them very easily."She is suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder.This happen because every one started blaming her when she agreed to let her husband to go in foreign in her heart she felt that she was doing right.But when her parents blamed her that she didn't care for her husband and just cared for money.She started feeling guilty and this is result of her guilt.Don't worry she will be fine."After that they took whole treatment and acted as per Psychiatrist's wishes.Finally one day when Sneha cleared that Rangoli with her own hand,Prashant and Sudha took breath of relief.
