Sweet little Gina was getting ready for school.It was special day for whole home every one was looking at her with new hope.Gina was very nice girl.She never created that much trouble on any point at same time.Ruchi was scared that Gina would feel nervous at school.After all before that day Gina never stayed alone that long.She knew that every child would do it and her daughter would also able to do.But still she was so scared inside heart on every point she knew that she must not show fear.But she was scared because she had noticed that Gina mostly preferred to stay with her.Gina was always good girl.Every time she did that What Ruchi told her.But still Ruchi noticed that Gina never liked to make that much friendship to people who were unknown to her. Ruchi knew that fact and felt that it was happening due to Gina's age.But still somewhere inside heart Ruchi was scared that this was something totally wrong for her girl.Then suddenly her mother-in-law screamed"Ruchi make tea for me before going to that school.I don't know how long you will away.I want my tea ready."Ruchi was irritated.She just wanted to ask her mother-in-law couldn't she make just some tea by herself.But she knew that this was useless to ask.Her mother-in-law never did anything.She just claimed that she was sick.It was as if she was sick forever.She never moved any thing and always kept getting sympathy from everyone because of her sickness.But Ruchi had doubts about her sickness.It was really strange. Ruchi couldn't believe sometimes her mother-in-law could move as much as she wished but sometimes she just kept sitting.She felt that her mother-in-law just didn't want to do any work so her mother-in-law kept pretending sickness.Ruchi had to do every thing for her because she was sure that if she did anything against her mother-in-law.Then there would be large issue about it.She felt so sad that she couldn't able to pay full attention on Gina on that morning.She felt that her daughter deserved full attention.When Ruchi forced to go in kitchen and finish all work,she was so upset.Ruchi did everything as fast as she could.But when she went out,she noticed that Gina was sitting outside and watching out of window.Her face was like small child.It was like angel.But still Rucha knew that there was big storm inside Gina.Gina was scared to go to school.But Gina was also too shy to discuss it before every one and her grandmother was not leaving Rucha alone.Finally Rucha finished all her house work and sat near Gina. Rucha"Let's go inside and get ready."Gina gave beautiful smile.Her delight was visible so she wanted to talk with her mother.That was clear now. Rucha smiled happily so she had guessed in right way her daughter's heart.Now a days it was most hard and important task for her to guess heart of Gina.She did complaint to her Mom.But she never dared to say anything before other so Rucha had to guess.Today Rucha's guess was true Gina wanted to talk with her Mom.
As soon as they went inside Gina sat on Rucha's lap,Gina"Mom what will happen in school?I mean do I have to talk to strangers? because you have always warned me against it.""No..No.Don't talk to strangers.You have to talk to just your teachers and make new friends.We have to attend a class which means lot of kids of your age will sit in one nice room and a elder who shall be called teacher teach you.""I know that Mom.I was asking that do I have to make friends with those unknown kids."Now that was strange question.Rucha never expected this one from her daughter.Rucha knew that Gina was shy but this was too much.Gina didn't want to make friendship due to her wrong suggestion. Rucha"Come on.I was telling you that never talk to stranger on road or in compound of building or school.But in school class room you suppose to make friends with every one.They are kids of your age.You have to adjust with them.I can sure that once you make friendship with other kids.You are going to love school.""But Mom I don't want to make friendship."Now Rucha was confused.But then she thought that it was okay. Rucha"Don't worry.It is not compulsory. If you don't want then you can ignore it."In heart Rucha felt that Gina would like to make friendship with other girls.She felt that it was natural. Rucha smiled and told her again "It is not compulsory like studying you can do it only if you want.Don't worry sweetheart.You are not forced to make friends."Rucha smiled.She felt that her daughter was getting tense unnecessarily.Gina was such sweet and nice girl that she would make friends easily so it was not big issue in Rucha's eyes. Gina"Are you sure?I mean.You will not get angry with me.If I didn't make friends?""Of course not."Gina looked relaxed.Then once again Gina looked tense"And you will not even become angry with me?"Rucha smiled"Of course not."Now Gina was more relaxed and Rucha was relieved.She didn't want Gina to look so much tense after all Gina was little girl and it was her first day of school.But expression on Gina's face showed so much tension that some one would feel that she was working in some office.Rucha didn't want to see her small daughter so much tense.It looked so wrong on every point.She wanted Gina to enjoy life.After all she was just a baby.But now a days she noticed that Gina was getting tense on every point like some office going person.If Gina was going in school or in some bigger standard,Rucha would had understood it but Gina was just going in first standard and she was getting so tense.Rucha just didn't understand her attitude.Rucha still smiled and said"Let's go to school."Gina looked so tense but then she nodded.She looked at herself in mirror like some elder and then checked that every thing was right.After that she told Rucha that she was ready for school.It seemed as if she was perfectly ready but not for school but for some kind of war.Gina's face was so tense as if some one was sending her on death row.Rucha on that moment felt that she might not take Gina to school on that day.But then she controlled her emotion and hold Gina's hand.They went to school.
Building of school was really nice but those classrooms were looking so small.But Rucha knew that it was good school so she was not going to complaint after all teaching was important not size of classroom.Some schools had air conditioner but standard of education was nothing.She didn't want to send her daughter to such school.She was sure that those luxuries would spoil her daughter.She wanted nice and normal school and she felt that it was perfect.When she went inside,she felt that Gina's hand was getting colder and Gina was shaking with fear.Now this was strange.She just didn't understand that why did Gina getting so scared.She tried to talk about it.But Gina just said that she was okay.When Rucha went near that school Gina gave her sweet smile,Rucha was little bit relaxed.Then two teacher came and took charge of Gina.Gina was looking scared but she obeyed every word told by teacher.Rucha felt happy and relaxed.That whole day Rucha was feeling tense about Gina's first day at school.In her play group time Gina was not that much friendly but it was not her real school.But now Rucha hoped from heart that Gina would manage everything in good way.Finally when time came to pick up Gina,Rucha started running out.Her mother-in-law taunted her"You are running as if your daughter is coming from abroad after many years.Your this attitude is making her more and more stupid.Look at Gina.She never talk that much with other people just remain stick to you.Just think what will be her future.Just a mother's pet.Nothing else.Sometimes I feel Rucha that you need to understand that your daughter is not going ahead this way.Just try to let us move on her own.Then only she should understand.Why did you have to go and take her from school every time? Her mother-in-law once again started talking"So your daughter didn't even seem to get one friend.She was turning just one loner.It would destroy her future and she will never move ahead.""I don't think so.I feel slowly she will make friends.""Nonsense look at her.She is such a useless girl who just never dare to act properly before people.She just run away from people on every point."Then Rucha felt some one was crying. She turned out.She understood now that what had happened.Gina was behind and her mother-in-law said it all to hurt her.Little Gina ran in room.That whole day Gina kept crying and Rucha tried to console her.But then after that Gina was no longer interested in going to school.Gina didn't want to go there.Gina"Mom I am not feeling well.Something is wrong with my stomach."Rucha was tense now."What happened?""I am feeling strange."Rucha was confused.She didn't understand that if Gina was panicking due to her thinking or she really felt pains in stomach. Rucha was trying to console her then she took her to Doctor.But when they reached there.A large crowd was already waiting inside room for Doctor.It was so irritating but then Gina did the worst.She started hiding behind Rucha.Rucha" What are you doing?Come on sit on that chair.""No Mom.I am fine.""Come on.."Rucha started pushing Gina to come out and sit on chair but things started getting worst because Gina started crying.Finally receptionist screamed "Will you stop it?There are other patients and you are disturbing them." After that Rucha sat quietly and Gina sat behind chair.Rucha was so upset.She missed Mahesh on these moments from heart.Only if her husband could get good job here.She was sure that Mahesh would have handled this matter a lot better.But somewhere in heart she was sure that Mahesh would have just supported her mother and blamed her. Mahesh had tendency to blaming others so Rucha never asked for his help. But this time problem was increasing day by day.Then they went inside Rucha had to pull Gina inside.Then Rucha told everything to Doctor.Whole time Gina was just playing with bow of her dress.It was getting worst moment by moment.Doctor was asking questions again and again.Rucha had to answer them.Finally Doctor asked Rucha with anger"Why are you answering instead of your daughter?Just don't talk and let her talk to me."Rucha felt that it was all her fault so she just kept quiet.Then Doctor tried to talk with Gina for long time but he was unsuccessful. Doctor"She is fine physically.But I feel she is having mental problem.""What?She is just small child!!""So what even small children have problems."Then that Doctor suggested a psychiatrist. Rucha just nodded but inside her heart.She disliked that idea.
That day Gina permitted to stay home but next day when Rucha started getting her ready.Gina once again started complaining but this time Rucha forced her to go to school.But things didn't look that good when Gina reached to school,she was crying.Rucha tried so hard but still she was not ready to go inside.There was long struggle at school door.Finally one teacher came.Then Gina suddenly became obedient and went inside.When that teacher saw that Gina was inside,she asked Rucha to come.Teacher "We all feel that something is wrong with your girl."It was second person on that day who was telling this to Rucha.Rucha was on verge of crying.Rucha"What is wrong with her?""She just prefer to sit in corner.Never participate in any activity which include many kids.She just didn't talk too shy.I feel she had hardly made any friends.It is not that she is naughty but she is just opposite too shy.It will hurt her progress.""So what I shall have to do?"Then another card was given to her.It was second card of that day.It was getting worst in her eyes."Now don't look so worried.Nothing is serious.This is small problem.It can be cured easily but if you keep her like that she will suffer in future.Rucha nodded.But still on that moment she was not ready.She decided to talk with her mother.When she called her mother,her mother told her that they should give party to all kids just for fun and then Gina would find friends out of them.Rucha liked that idea from heart so Rucha worked for whole day.She arranged every thing and finally at evening party was started.She gave it in spite of protests from her mother-in-law.She hoped it would help her daughter.But it was just waste.Gina just kept sitting in corner and other kids kept playing with each other whole time.Sometimes Rucha even forced Gina to play but Gina played just for one second to please Rucha and then returned back to her corner.It was not working as she thought.Finally her mother-in-law taunted her regarding wastage of money.Her mother-in-law said clearly that Rucha was wasting money which Mahesh was making by staying away from home.Rucha wanted to control her anger.But that day she had big fight with her mother-in-law and she went to her mother's home.That day she told her mother everything.Her Mother took out that card then her mother said"Let's call this Psychiatrist.""MOM..BUT..We can't""Now stop this.Gina need help and we are going to get some help for her.It would not matter what other said.We need only good for Gina."After that Rucha's mother called that Psychiatrist and took appointment.At beginning Rucha was scared but that Psychiatrist turned out to be very nice and good nature person. Gina slowly got friendly with her.She told Rucha that Gina had anxiety disorder.She told her that Gina's condition was selective mutism. In this kids just talked with selected person.They get scared in crowded atmosphere and they were not ready to talk with other people.Gina needed help and she would get cured. Rucha smiled happily.Then they started taking Gina there on every appointment.Slowly Gina began to talk with everyone. Rucha was happy but whenever she saw that shy kid.She wanted to suggest psychiatrist but she knew that she couldn't because people would not like and she had to hide her secret.She was not going to tell any one that her small daughter had visited Psychiatrist because it would risk future of Gina.
