Cause of suffering
Kira was taking notes. It was so hard for her to write it down. She just wished her writing was fast enough to wrote it all. But she always managed to write few lines then she had to copy from her friend's book. It was so hard for her. It was so embarrassing when she had to copy it. But she had no option. She had to copy since she never able to match speed. She was always slow compared to others. She had to accept it. She didn't like it. When she asked for notebook and her friends started making faces as if she was some chewing gum which they wanted to remove but they didn't able to. It was worst for her. She just wished one thing if only she would began to write fast. It was so hard for her. Every time she decided that she would write fast that day. She started to write fast but she just couldn't manage after going ahead for some lines. She just began to fell back. Once again she had to take some one's book. When finally class was over, she looked around. She began to think who would be good enough to give her notebook. She started looking around. Her best friend who sat near her would be first to ask. But Kira knew that Charu would just hate it. But Charu would let her xerox notes. Kira was spending so much money on xerox that sometime she just felt that she should ask her Dad to buy a xerox machine. But she knew that it would not help since she couldn't bring it to college. She suddenly started smiling at her silly ideas. When Charu asked her "What happen? Why are you laughing like that?" "I am laughing. No.. No.. I was just thinking. Then when did I learn to write fast? I was trying since I learned to writing." "I know and now you will need my notes. It's fine. You can take them and xerox." Kira smiled. She was feeling so great to had those notes. Charu was looking like angel to her. Every day Kira had to go through this. She had find some one who would give her note book and then complete those notes. Kira took her notebook. Kira even asked for another notebooks which were needed. Then she ran down. As she was about to turn xerox machine. She suddenly sensed that she did something wrong. There was a car on that corner which was just about to hit her. She stopped herself just one time. But by then that car managed to push her. She was got just little bit hurt. But she was tense regarding just one thing. Notebook of her friend had fallen in mud. She was so scared. She just ran towards it while limping. She took it out. But it was too let. That notebook was ruined. Any way she was sure that her friend would get upset and never used it when she understood it was fallen in that mud. After all it was not rainy days so such water must be from some leakage. Kira looked around. But then she sensed that moving her leg was getting hard. So she might had to go to Doctor. She hoped that Charu would understand this. But she was still scared.
But Kira noticed many students of her college were coming out. Her friend Charu was also called. When Charu came out, Charu was concerned just about Kira and just kept saying that Kira should had to make so much hurry to xerox her notes. Kira was relaxed when their professor came. She was relaxed now because she sensed that her professor would give notes to Charu now. So it was compensated. Kira was relaxed. Then some one took her to Doctor. She was trying to walk but she didn't want to go to Doctor. But then Doctor slowly checked her. Doctor "I think your bone are broken on some places. You must not move now. You have to take total bed rest." Kira was so scared. She tried to move her leg but Doctor stopped her. Doctor" Don't do that you. You will break your bones in more deadly way." "What? But how can I go home?" Doctor gave her shocked look and asked " I hope you understand that you just can't able to walk." Kira was so confused. But then she senses that Doctor was telling her truth. She started crying but her professor who accompanied her began to ask for her home number. Kira immediately gave it to her. Kira was so tense. That professor told her that her Mom was coming. Then that professor said that she had to go back to college and went away. She kept sleeping on that bed. Doctor called her Mom and ordered one ambulance. She was sleeping whole time. She was not feeling much pain. It might be due to pain killer. She just kept watching that how did people were coming and Doctor was checking every patient. It was worst for her. She was getting depressed due to this. She just wanted to sleep but slowly her eyes became heavy and she went to sleep. Then she became awake. When her Mom touched her, her Mom was tying a thread on her hand and chanting name of some god. Her Mom was saying again and again just one thing that she was responsible for it. Kira was not in her sense but still she felt her Mom's tears and she just heard her Mom's prayer. Doctor was trying to silence her Mom. Doctor and nurses were telling again and again that this was upsetting Kira. In fact they were suggesting that it could increase blood pressure of Kira. Kira just felt as if some nightmare was moving around her. She felt as if she was in some worst sort of world where everything was just creating different for her. She went in hospital. It was like some medical show. She was going through all this but she never sensed one feel that she was going through it. This seemed like some artificial scene. She just felt one thing that was pain. It became part of her every move when those effect of pain killer on her where reduced. When she woke up, she noticed that her leg was in plaster. Whole time Doctors and nurses every one was telling her not to move them. But she never wished to move them. She was scared of those pains. It was okay. But when she woke up,she sensed that she was in trouble. She had to stay in that hospital for some days. Then even at home she had to stay at home. But her bed rest was over every soon. Her one leg was resting in plaster but her another leg had to exercises. She had to do it daily. She had to do exercise. So she had to stay in home but she never wanted to still she had to. She knew that she would lag behind in studies. But then she saw just one small silver lightening in all this. Now she at least get those notes.
Kira slowly began to adjust with her luck. But for her worst things happened. She needed help on every point. But she was alone in room. She was sitting in her room. She just kept screaming her Mom's name who did not came on time. Kira was upset. One day she finally started asking for nurse. Kira "Mom I did someone's help and you..""I know sweetheart but don't worry when I will finish that chanting. Then every thing would turn in to fine." Kira didn't understand what did her Mom mean but she just understood one thing that her Mom having her dark mood in which she would do just worship of god. Kira knew that god's worship was something great. Kira liked to sit below god and say prayers. In fact when she was child, she used to sat with her grand father to pray but when she heard those prayer her Mom did. Kira just preferred to stay away. Kira "Mom if you want to pray then pray but just call one nurse for me." In her heart Kira wanted her Mom. But she knew that when some thing went inside her Mom's brain then no one could stop it. Kira just wanted some one to take care of her. She felt that a nurse would be perfect. Her Mom nodded. Next day nurse was called. That nurse was not that much kind hearted but Kira couldn't blame her. It was exhausting for nurse. Kira was quite heavy and her Mom never came to help while her nurse expected it. Nurse had to do every thing. At least that was this nurse's claim. Kira was just hearing every thing that she was told by nurse. After all world was out of range for her. Since she couldn't go out, her movement were big ceremony. At every point Kira just kept calling nurse. She just wished from heart that her Mom could spend some time with her. But her Mom's visits began to reduce day by day. Kira was so upset by this. Things were getting worst for her on every day. She wanted to know just one thing that why her Mom didn't find time for her when her Dad managed to visit her. In fact even at night when she needed some help. Always her Dad came first. Then he called Mom. It was so upsetting for Kira. She wanted her Mom's attention at least in night. But her Mom was not ready to cooperate. Those days had became worst days of life for Kira.She was so helpless and in pain. She had to move her leg when her plaster was taken out still her Mom didn't had time for her.Finally Kira able to moved out of her room. She used a stick to help her in walking. She knew that it was hard for her to walk but Doctor told her that she must walk. Her nurse was helping her to walk. Kira started walking every day. One day she insisted that she wanted to go in her Mom's room. Her Nurse "But your Mom is not in her room." "What? Where is she?" "Your Mom had created one nice temple in store room.She always sat there and chat those verses. She never came out. She just came out to cook food then took her food and locked herself in room. She kept chanting without stopping. She was so strange. Didn't she use to act like that before your accident. You are acting as if you don't know your Mom's routine." That nurse started laughing on her. Kira "But my Mom was never use to act like that. She had full faith in god. But it was so nice. Even I have faith in that god. We all used to pray for god in full faith. But she never acted that way." Nurse was so confused. Nurse" Strange? !! But your Dad never express any wonder." "Strange? I will talk to Dad today. Her Mom was praying but her prayer was not giving peace to her. But at same time she looked so happy while saying them. Kira just didn't understand if it was wise to disturb her Mom. But her Mom didn't want advice. Her Mom had already return back to her prayer. It was as if she didn't exist for her Mom. Kira was so sad. Kira didn't know to whom she could turn. Only option which was available seen to be that nurse. Kira "I don't get it. What is wrong with my Mom? She used to have full faith in god. But she never used to sit in temples like that. It was not normal." "May be her faith is increased?" "To such extend that she didn't even care for her daughter? I just don't feel it can happen.We have to think again about this all." Suddenly that nurse seemed to be interested. Kira "Until now my Mom never acted this way. When I had accident , she suddenly began to scream that it was all her fault. She never used to act like that. She was acting so strange. She never used to take blame like that and why should she? It was so strange. Why did she felt that it was her mistake?" "How did you have that accident? " "I was hurrying on road and a car struck me." "May be she thought that she didn't taught you to cross road properly?" Kira started laughing. Nurse joined her. They both agreed to one thing while laughing that it was not possible. Nurse "Was it possible that your Mom was driving car?" Now Kira was confused. She never thought about that car or driver. In fact no one thought about it. It was all her mistake so no one tried to catch driver. Kira" But it was my mistake. Why did she feel that way?" Nurse "Sometimes such things happen. Did she stopped car to help you?" "No. But you can't say it was her. Why did she went there at that hour?" "You just don't know for sure." "Then I should go and convince her that it was not her fault." Kira started moving and asked for Nurse's help. Nurse "Now don't hurry up like that. It is possible that it was her car. But she did such accident some time back and she was feeling that due to this accident. You got hurt. You know that theory in which they say children suffer due to mistake of their parents." Kira looked so confused. Kira " I just don't know." "May be you should ask your Dad? After all your Mom is having mental problem." "What? Who told you?" Nurse started laughing. "I am nurse. I have spend my whole days in hospitals which had psychiatric ward. I can detect problem." "So what is her problem?" "Now I can't tell you proper name. But it could be post traumatic or some thing like that." "What is it?" "It happen after trauma. Come on don't just go by my advice. Please go to psychiatrist." "But you know it." Nurse looked nervous. Nurse "No... No don't do it. This way I will hurt my patient. I mean your Mom. You have to talk to your Dad and took appointment of psychiatrist." Then Nurse said it in such a way and Kira agreed immediately.
That day as soon as Kira's Dad came, Kira and nurse immediately went to him. Kira looked at Dad's face. It was clear that he sensed something was wrong. Kira "Dad is there something which you both hiding from me?" Her Dad started crying and it became clear that something was there. Kira "Did Mom done some accident? " Dad looked confused. "Of course not. Who told you such nonsense?" Suddenly that nurse looked nervous. Nurse was scared that Kira would mention her name. But Kira didn't do that.Kira "Tell me what happened?" Her Dad looked at her with confused eyes. One thing was clear that he didn't want to tell truth. But Kira wanted it now. Dad "Actually your Mom had cheated your auntie. She took all your grandmother's money. Just two day back your auntie was asking for money because her son was ill. Your Mom never thought that it would be that serious. She just denied. And her son died so she abused and cursed your Mom.." Kira screamed "You never mentioned any auntie. Now this is so horrible." "I wanted to keep you out of this. I tried to convince your Mom but she was not ready. " "I was so wrong I just never wanted such cursed money..." Nurse "Will you stop this? You must not put more rubbish in your Mom's mind." "But she did so wrong thing." "I know but still things can be rectified. Was it her only son? " Dad nodded. " Yes. She is childless now." Nurse "What was her feelings about Kira? " "She use to adore her. I am sure. She said it in just anger. She never mean it." "So if Kira went to meet her and started spending time with her. Do you feel it will help? " Dad looked confused. Dad "I don't know. But I can phone her." Nurse turned to Kira. Nurse "I want you to treat these two issues separately. You can meet your auntie and handle it. But don't tell your Mom. We have to take her to psychiatrist." "I just hate her. " "Now will you stop it? You are just increasing problems. Your hate will not solve trouble. You have to handle two mothers now. " Kira looked confused but she agreed. After that day Kira slowly improved. Her Dad took her Mom to psychiatrist. That guess of Nurse proved wrong. Her Mom was suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder in which person just kept repeating some act again and again. It was happened due to her guilt. But psychiatrist said that she could be fine. Kira tried to act with her nicely. But as soon as Kira managed to walk, immediately she went to visit her Auntie. She was scared that her Auntie and her uncle screamed on her. But her auntie just hugged her and cried. Her Uncle told her that she cried for first time since their son's death. Then they took even her auntie to psychiatrist who was suffering from post traumatic symptoms. So she had to go for treatment also. Kira felt so sad. If only her Mom was not that greedy, their life would be perfect. She would had a perfect brother and they would have happy family. But her Mom didn't control her greed and this happened. Kira never understood that why did people act that way when they had enough money to spend comfortable life. But she knew that she could never find answer. She just kept two mothers and tried to be good daughter for both. In case of her auntie it was easy but in case of her Mom she still felt anger inside but still she kept controling. After all she had lost her brother and now she did want to lost her mother, She kept them both separate and that way they were happy. After all her Mom was cause of suffering for her Auntie.

Kira tried to act with her nicely. But as soon as Kira managed to walk, immediately she went to visit her Auntie. She was scared that her Auntie and her uncle screamed on her. But her auntie just hugged her and cried. Her Uncle told her that she cried for first time since their son's death. Then they took even her auntie to psychiatrist who was suffering from post traumatic symptoms. So she had to go for treatment also. Kira felt so sad. If only her Mom was not that greedy, their life would be perfect. She would had a perfect brother and they would have happy family. But her Mom didn't control her greed and this happened. Kira never understood that why did people act that way when they had enough money to spend comfortable life. But she knew that she could never find answer. She just kept two mothers and tried to be good daughter for both. In case of her auntie it was easy but in case of her Mom she still felt anger inside but still she kept controling. After all she had lost her brother and now she did want to lost her mother, She kept them both separate and that way they were happy. After all her Mom was cause of suffering for her Auntie.
