Adventure story. 783 Finding way out

                            Finding way out

Arpita was sitting with her friends. They all were enjoying. Arpita sat on sofa happily. She sat near French window. She began to look out. She was watching nature carefully. She could see wonderful flowers on trees. On branches of tree there were flowers with enchanting colour. They looked so pleasant. She was happy that she decided to come out with her friends. She was staying in home for long time. She stopped doing out that much. She had family but they were not exactly attached to her. She was not married. She was spending her life in her style. But on other hand she was not. She always needed to do something which she preferred not to. She wanted to enjoy each day of life. Then suddenly she sensed her friend Priti was talking to her. Priti “So what is your plan of future?” She gave sad smile. “I want to plan many things but they always turned in wrong way.” “I don’t get it. You were planning to start one small hotel what happened to it?” “I was planning to. But when I started to discuss everyone around me started criticizing.” “But why did you listen to them?” “You don’t understand. I don’t have complete hold on anything.” “What do you mean?” “Well, everything I owned is on joint names.” “OH! But why don’t you & your siblings divide property?” “Because just I don’t have anything on my name! They have properties on their name.” Priti felt shocked but soon Priti controlled herself & said “It’s okay but still you can use your share to start some small hotel?” “No, I can’t. They said I am useless. I can’t able to run a hotel.” “But why? You are intelligent person.” “I don’t feel so. I don’t have much knowledge of world around me.” She needed to confess that she was inferior but Priti immediately rejected the idea. Priti “Nonsense you are smart & wise. They are just trying to keep you down under their thumb.” Arpita looked nervously towards Priti. She needed to feel positive but she was not feeling that way after listening to Priti. She knew that she didn’t know how to run hotel. Arpita “I don’t know how to run a hotel.” “Then they supposed to tell you. They needed to teach you. In this world no one came with knowledge.” Arpita knew all this but she also knew another thing. No one was going to teach her anything. She felt so nervous even at thought. She wanted to remain positive but still she knew it was impossible. She slowly asked Priti “Can you teach me?” Priti looked pale. “Sorry but I am just one manager of private company. I can help you to set loan if you want from bank but I can’t teach you how to run hotel.” Then Priti was called by another friend. Priti began to chat with that friend & Arpita was totally forgotten. Arpita felt so sad. She began to hate Priti. Priti just managed to upset her mood. If Priti was not planning to help Arpita, why did she discuss all this? Arpita was so angry. She started to look out from French window again with hope that nature could relax her.

         Priti was chatting with another friend since she wanted to avoid Arpita. She was not planning to help her. Priti’s husband hated such a actions. Priti was told by her in-laws that she was not suppose to bring any of her friend in house. She must not help her friends. Her husband hated when she planned to help even little bit. Still due to her old habit Priti kept suggesting & advising. Priti regretted that she tried to advise Arpita. Priti knew that now Arpita would come after her. She looked towards Arpita. But she sensed that Arpita was looking out of window. Priti smiled happily. Then finally waitress brought bill. Priti looked towards bill but Arpita took bill in hand. Arpita immediately paid her bill & stood up to go. Clearly Arpita was upset. All friends sensed. They all began to look towards Priti. Arpita “I want to go home early. My maid is coming. I just got message.” Arpita showed mobile to prove herself true. But they all knew that Arpita was lying. Arpita always managed to find some excuse to go home early. Her friends smiled & said “Bye.” “We will inform time of next meeting in café on your mobile.” Arpita nodded. But Arpita was not certain that she wanted to meet them again. She was sitting alone near window. She knew that Priti tried to talk with her for some time. Still, she felt that it was meaningless. She wanted to feel relaxed but Priti managed to upset her. Arpita wanted to feel positive but she was feeling negative. She decided that she didn’t like this at all. Arpita smiled & nodded. But all knew that Arpita wouldn’t come again. They all wanted Arpita to come. Arpita never argued. She always shared bill. She never tried to avoid making payment. While Priti always created some excuses. Many times, Arpita needed to pay for Priti’s project in college. It was frustrating for others. One friend looked towards Priti & asked “What happened?” Priti smiled & said “Nothing. She had issues with her family.” “We are certain you suggested something.” “No, I don’t suggest anything. I just tried to calm her.” Priti stopped on that point & slowly began to pay her part of bill. Priti knew that today she needed to do it. Arpita was not there to help her. Priti felt so sad. Her life was moving in bad way. She needed explain but she didn’t. She knew that her friends wouldn’t understand.

        Priti went back home. As soon as she entered, she heard voice of her mother-in-law. “Priti go & make some fruit juice for me.” Priti felt so frustrated. They had maids. Priti didn’t need to do it but her family always insisted that she needed to work daily. She knew that if she said a word against it. She would face lots of humiliation. She immediately ran towards kitchen. She started to search for fruits. Soon she found one watermelon. She started to cut it. Then she removed seeds properly before making juice. She wanted everything to be perfect. She was going to use juicer. She needed to make everything in right way. She wanted best taste in her juice. She began to do it carefully. It was so important for her. She managed to do it & came out. Then she placed that glass of juice before her mother-in-law & smiled. Her mother-in-law tasted it & nodded. Then she ran towards her room. Actually, she didn’t have just one room. She had two rooms. She had large place for herself. She knew that once she entered in her rooms no one would disturb her. She would get complete privacy but to get that privacy she needed to fulfil every demand of her every family member & she did it happily. She sat before TV peacefully. She was watching it happily. Then she took out some items from refrigerator, she took them on plate. Then she took out one beautiful glass with pleasant design. She poured juice she created in it. She placed them on her small dressing table. She smiled happily. Now she could relax & enjoy her life. She was on top of the world. She wanted this life. She looked around. Her room was nice & pleasant. She was so happy. She wanted to stay in it forever. Her mother-in-law was sitting in hall & feeling so frustrated. Her mother-in-law was upset with Priti. Priti was supposed get pregnant soon. But she was not getting pregnant. Her mother-in-law didn’t want her now. Her mother-in-law called her sister & started talking “I just wanted to get rid of Priti but she was doing everything I asked. She went out today. She came back. I asked for juice. She literally ran in kitchen & made excellent fruit juice.” “But you don’t need cook!” “I know I don’t need. I need a woman who can produce an heir. At beginning I was insisting on boy. Now I will adjust with girl too. But Priti is not getting pregnant only.” “You need to talk with your son.” “He is not interested that much in his wife.” “What?” “He always stays out of home. He just kept giving money.” “OH! Does he have someone else?” “I don’t know. If he has someone else, I should have liked it but he never declared anything.” Then they kept chatting. It was every day routine. Priti was inside room but she knew very well about it too. Still Priti never objected. She wanted to stay in that house. She needed to stay in that room. She just enjoyed staying there.

       Priti’s husband was so irritated by everything. He already managed to find another woman. Now he just wanted to get rid of Priti but it was very difficult for him. Priti never asked anything to him. She gave him full freedom to do whatever he wanted. But now he wanted to marry that another woman. He came home on that day with determination. He called Priti loudly as soon as he entered in house. Priti shivered by his voice. But she ran out. Priti “Do you want anything?” “Yes. I wanted divorce.” Priti started crying loudly. Her crying was so odd. She couldn’t stop it. Every one started to try to calm her. But it was not working. Even her husband got scared. He was not expecting this. He began to call Doctor. Doctor recommended treatment in hospital. Priti was taken in hospital. After checking her doctor advised to admit her in psychiatric ward. Priti’s husband was not happy by this. He wanted divorce but since Priti proved unsound. He couldn’t get it easily. Priti’s family came. They all blamed her husband for torturing her. Finally, her husband admitted her in psychiatric ward. Priti’s treatment began. Slowly she started to feel much better. One day she finally got discharged. But she decided that she didn’t want to go back in that room. She called her husband & said “I will divorce you. Just give me enough money to buy hotel.” “No need. I own one hotel. I will shift it in your name.” Priti smiled & said “Great.” Then she went directly to Arpita’s house. She told her about hotel. Arpita was thrilled. So they decided to run that hotel together. They felt that it would be hard. It was hard but slowly they managed to settle down their business. Most importantly they were happy in their world. No one was there to taunt them on their losses & they could admire each other when they earned profits. They built one nice life together as best friends. They learnt to live life in their own way.
