Rina's dream dress
Rina began to
observed shelves one after another. She was looking towards dresses one by one.
She was paying full attention to every design. Those designs had so much beauty
inside them. She was getting impressed by each one. She felt as if each design
had its beauty. She began to feel those design had one dream inside it. She
started to look towards them very carefully. It was pleasant one. She wanted to
observe dresses with proper looks. She began to search for beautiful dresses.
She knew that she could purchase anything from that shop. Her parents gave her
card. She knew that her dad didn’t deny her permission of purchasing this time.
She found out new gift in his room. It was clear that it was for her dad’s new
girlfriend. She felt so sad. It was not easy for her to take money & keep
quiet about her dad’s cheating but she knew that was for best. Her mom was
loving, kind & gentle housewife who didn’t have financial support of her
own. She also knew that even if her mom had job still her dad was dominating enough
to take away everything. She was certain about one thing that she needed to
pretend before her mom. She could use this money as compensation. At least it
would prove some punishment for dad. She felt that she needed to spend some
money. She wanted revenge. She began to select dress. As she started to look
towards dresses. She began to imagine one boyfriend with them. It was such a
pleasant thought. She began to feel so positive. She wanted to think about
dresses. Her each dress had unique design. When she observed it, she began to
feel so happy about it. She was looking carefully towards that dress. She knew
that she was just imagining those boys. They didn’t actually exist. It was just
her imagination. She kept thinking about it. She wanted those dresses to give
her positive dreams. She touched their fabric. It was so soft & pleasant to touch. She had new pleasant diamonds. She was watching those dresses.
She started to select them. One by one she began to attach her dreams to them. Those
dresses were her favorite. She was looking towards them for first time. But she
felt as if they were her favorite. She didn’t feel as if they were unknown. She
was touching them when she heard voice from behind. “Can I help you Madam?” She
looked behind. One young good-looking salesgirl was standing behind her. She
felt so nervous. Suddenly she sensed that she was dreaming too much. She could
get those sorts of boyfriends in line. She smiled & said “I want to buy
dresses.” “Madam we have large variety do you have any specific type or pattern
in mind?” Rina didn’t have any. Rina “I like to see all.” “OH, Come this way.”
Rina began to walk behind that salesgirl.
Rina’s dad was so upset. He wanted to
stop giving money to Rina. He just hated giving anything to her. He wanted to
spend it all on himself. He was cheating his wife for all time. He needed to
find some solution on Rina. He knew that he couldn’t stop it. Even if he
decided to become honest. It wouldn’t help. He knew that Rina would spend all
money from that card. It was so crazy. His house was filling with dresses. He
was keeping many rooms just to keep her clothes. It was just not enough for
her. She kept collecting dresses. He was so frustrated by her attitude. It was
so pleasant for her. But he hated it. He kept collecting different sort of coins
& Rina kept collecting different sort of dresses. It was becoming so
frustrating. He didn’t understand where did it all was going. Rina began to get
so restless. She kept choosing one after another dresses. He needed to say “no”
to her on some point. This was not helping him at all. On that point his mobile
rang. He saw that Rina’s mom was calling. He felt happy. His wife was simple
& sweet lady. She was perfect for him. But Rina was too much for him. Rina
kept getting information on him & Rina kept asking for money. She didn’t
need to buy dresses but still she kept asking. He wanted to convince his wife
to stop their daughter but he didn’t. He kept spending money on Rina. It was
upsetting. Rina was not working. Rina was just living on his money. He was
about to talk with his wife but his wife told him herself. “I called you since
I want to suggest you to stop giving extra pocket money to Rina.” He was so
glad. “I know but still when she asks…” “You are acting so soft towards Rina.
You need to see how many dresses she already has but still she keeps buying
more. Our entire house is full of her dresses & our house is not even
small. We live in three floor apartments still our apartment is not enough to
keep her clothing.” He smiled. He wanted to increase anger of his wife so he
added “But whenever I say no she begins to talk so negative. She starts to say
I don’t love her & I don’t love her mom. You know that sort of things.” “You
need to learn to ignore her.” He was so happy. This way he would make certain
that his wife didn’t trust Rina. He said slowly “I do as you say.” He looked
towards balance of card he had given to Rina. Now he could stop it. He smiled.
Rina blackmailed him so she deserved it. He told bank to block card. He was
joint account holder with his wife so he could do it. He smiled happily. It
would be wonderful when he could see Rina getting tortured due to stopping of
that card. He knew that she must be shopping on that time. He laughed. He began
to think how did Rina’s mom would react when Rina would try to explain truth to
her. He wanted to enjoy this drama so he decided to left his office early. He
wanted to be in home when Rina would start arguing.⁹
Rina selected many dresses & she
went on counter to make payment. She was so happy. She gave her card. That
cashier started to use that card. Cashier began to use it. She was checking out
dresses. Then Cashier called her “Madam your card is not working.” Rina felt so
shocked. Rina tried it twice when she couldn’t do it. She began to count money
in her purse. It was limited. She decided to keep shopping. She just said “I
will come tomorrow after renewing card.” Staff of store nodded. It was clearly not
single incidence for them. Cashier said “It’s okay.” Rina left everything
behind. Rina decided to not purchase things. Rina didn’t feel sad about it.
Something must had happened with card. She didn’t mind it. It was not so
important. She just needed to ignore it. She took Cab with cash payment. She
reached home. She didn’t say anything to mom. She was thinking for long time.
She needed to stop this. She just smiled to mom & asked for lunch. On that
day when dad returned, she just told him that card payment stopped. Her dad
immediately told “It must be some mistake by bank. You can visit &…” “It’s
okay. I have many dresses.” She returned to her room. She tried to sleep
peacefully but her sleep was vanished. She kept seeing that shop & those
scenes which she saw in that hotel when her dad was with some woman. She wanted
to forget all. But it was not happening. She was no longer interested in buying
anything. She just wanted to forget all. She couldn’t even tell her mom. She
took those dresses. She was part of her dad’s crimes. She started crying. This
was getting worst. As time move ahead, she began to feel more & more upset.
Her mind started to get negative. She needed to close her eyes & go to
sleep but it was not happening. Her sleep was far away from her. She felt as if
she was caged in her room.
Rina’s dad was shocked when he sensed
that Rina didn’t do any argument. Next morning when Rina came for breakfast her
eyes were looking so tired. She was feeling so sad. She looked towards her dad.
Dad was expecting her to argue but she didn’t. She just sat on table &
began to eat breakfast. Her dad smiled happily. He sensed that she was too
scared. He needed to increase her fear. He began to talk “You have purchased
those dresses just because of me. You are enjoying all luxuries because of me.
Now if you tell everything to mom, she might decide to leave me then I will not
keep you. You will be on road. Road has many sorts of wrong people. You need to
understand life on road is not good one.” Rina shivered with fear. She didn’t
want to live on road. Rina didn’t say anything. She just kept quiet. She went
in her room. She began to look towards her dresses. She used to feel that they
had dreams inside now she didn’t. It was wrong. Her mom came from behind. Mom
“What happened? Why you left breakfast table?” “I am feeling uneasy in stomach.”
It was not exactly lie. She was truly feeling odd in stomach. Her word was
also feeling odd. She began to feel that she might fall on ground. She didn’t
want to discuss any other thing. She began to tell how unwell she was feeling.
Rina’s mom decided to take her to Doctor. Whole time Rina was feeling so sick.
Her mom was tense. They sat in Doctor’s line waiting for number. They didn’t
have appointment. Finally, they went inside. Doctor began to check Rina. Doctor
“She is just fine. Does she have any tension?” Mom said “No.” Mom was fully
certain that Rina had no tensions. Doctor took out one paper wrote something
& gave it to mom without expressions. Then Doctor said “Visit this
psychiatrist otherwise mental issue will increase.” “My daughter is fine. She
didn’t have any issues.” Doctor “Then why she scratching her forearms with sharp
objects?” Rina didn’t say anything. She was punishing herself for not telling
truth to mom instead purchasing clothes. She knew that she couldn’t hide it
from doctor. It was so stressful. She slowly looked towards mom. Her mom
completely rejected idea of psychiatrist. Rina was so desperate on that moment
that she wanted to try all. After rejecting idea Mom & Rina went out. Rina
intentionally forgot her mobile inside. Rina created excuse to go this way.
Rina “Mom I forgot mobile.” Then she went inside again. Another patient was
there but she didn’t care. She told Doctor “Mom will not take me to that
Doctor. I will go by myself. Just give me number.” Doctor nodded & gave her
number. She managed to put that paper in her pants & came out with smile.
Rina called psychiatrist & took appointment of next week. She needed help
& she knew that with certainty. She had some savings in her purse. She
could use that cash for fees. She was so scared when she finally went to
psychiatrist. Her heart was beating so fast. She was feeling so scared. When
she finally went inside, she told everything in single breath. Step by step Psychiatrist
told her that shopping was her obsession due to guilt. She wanted to tell all
to her mom. But then psychiatrist said slowly “I feel your mom know it all. You
don’t need to worry.” Rina felt shocked. “But?” “Go & ask her.” She felt so
scared. Then psychiatrist asked her about other things. He gave her some simple
medicines too. She felt so tense when she went home. She went directly in
kitchen & asked her mom “Do you know dad have affairs with different
women?” Her mom gave her angry look & said “Rina you got so many dresses
for keeping your mouth shut what more you want?” Rina didn’t say anything. She
just went in her room. After that she kept visiting psychiatrist for some time.
Slowly her mental issues reduced. She began her career as cloth shop owner. She
really enjoyed staying with clothes whole time. She never talked much with her
parents. She was introduced to one man by her one customer. She dated him for
sometime then she got married. She shifted from that house & she took breath
of relief. She never wanted to visit her parents again. But she did it
sometimes since she didn’t want her husband to know reason. She was so scared
that he might become just like her father. But he didn’t. Her married life was
positive one.
