                             Getting Divorce 

Ravi was feeling so sweet & happy in his mind. His wife was not that much happy. He knew that extra work was making his wife exhausted but they didn’t have much option. He lost his job after that he needed to find work so he started this job of event management. It was so nice. He used to work so hard in his company same way he was working now. He was getting nice payments too. But in this work, he couldn’t afford staff so he needed someone who would work without money so his wife was forced to join his work. His wife used to do work as clerk in one small firm. It was working great but when he began his business. He needed help. He didn’t have much option so he started calling his wife time to time. Finally, his wife needed to give up that job. She also wanted to have her life. He could see it in her attitude. He knew that she considered him inferior. He never heard her saying it on his face but he was certain she was saying it behind his back. He heard saying this in her mobile conversation. She kept talking about it. She felt so nervous. She knew that she needed to move in right way but she never did it. She always discouraged him on every point. He tried to tell this to his parents but they never understood him. Every one was blaming him for losing job so now he needed to tolerate all. He was feeling so sad. He tried to keep his positivity but his mind kept going on negative track. He knew that he needed to do all on his own. He slowly looked towards his phone. He needed to check his Bank balance. He knew that it was low still sometimes he hoped that it might increase. He was feeling so negative. He needed to keep hopes but he was feeling stressed. He was so happy when he was working. Now he had finished. He began to get tense. He needed to call client. He knew that it was time to return home. It was feeling so stressed. Now he was going to face his wife Hina. He knew that Hina was going to complaint. This money wouldn’t be enough. Hina married him with expectation of high salary sadly he couldn’t able to fulfil it. He lost his old job then next one was this business. This business was always with less income since he needed to invest first. Every one was telling him that he needed to give some time. He kept telling it to Hina but she was not happy. He knew that one day he would earn more. On that point his mobile rang. He sensed that he had message from Hina. He began to read ‘I want divorce.’ He kept reading it. This was his life not some fiction story. His wife couldn’t leave him like that. They were married for two years. They were planning for baby. He was working hard to make more money. It was so shocking.

      Hina already talked with her friend. She was planning this for long time. She knew that her family wouldn’t keep her. They wanted her to adjust with Ravi but she was not ready. Ravi was just burden in her view. When she began to date him, he at least had one decent job now he even managed to get fired from his job. He was telling that company was closed. But she suspected that he was only one who got fired. She didn’t want to live life with loser like him. She decided that she needed to get divorced & start her life again. She knew that she needed arrangement for it. She contacted her previous Boss. But she was shocked when her previous Boss suggested marriage with her. She was so happy. She couldn’t believe it. She didn’t want to talk about it to Ravi at this point. So, she just decided to pack her things & go away. She managed to pack most of the things. But she was still tense. She knew that she was moving ahead very fast. It was essential. She decided this when her mother started to suggest her to get pregnant. They all began to talk about baby. She knew that all began to plan for child. She was hardly part of that conversation. But they all decided to ignore her. She was so shocked. She was supposed to decide but they decided to ignore her. She wanted to get rid of this situation. She began to feel so frustrated. She started to think in different way about every plan. She knew that it was perfect. So, she called Cab & she arranged all. She needed to limit her luggage but she couldn’t. She was feeling so negative about all. She wanted to take all but still she decided to end her desires. She smiled when door bell rang. It was driver. She instructed him to take her luggage. She called special Cab from private company. Her friend didn’t stay nearby. Her friend was manager of one small hotel in hill station. She was going to stay there. Her ex-Boss was going to come there. She was planning to marry him. But she needed divorce. She didn’t feel any regret of breaking her marriage with Ravi. She hated him & finally she got rid of him. She just regretted about her things which she couldn’t able to take. She looked towards them. But then she controlled her tears & left house. She decided to keep her key with Society security. She didn’t want key of Ravi’s house. She was starting her life. She didn’t want anything from old. She wanted freedom & finally she was getting it. She was so happy. Her life was finally moving on right track. She was happy to move ahead in life. She was smiling with hope once again. Finally, she was out of that house to take risk in her life.

         Ravi came back running in his house. He knew that it would be empty but he was so scared to accept it. He started to look around. It was giving same look. No one could guess that she had just left him. He felt so alone & lonely. He wanted to cry but he couldn’t. His tears were locked in strange way. He knew that it was his mistake. He was too selfish. She wanted to do her job but he didn’t agree. He insisted her to join his business. He didn’t pay her anything. He just forced her to keep working. He acted in wrong way. He knew that he needed to correct it. He began to feel so sad. He began to call her but she was not taking his calls. He decided that he needed to hide it all. He began to plan everything. He started to set in mind everything in right way. His wife left house. He needed to find her & convince her to come back. He suddenly remembered his parents. He decided to call his father. “Dad Hina left me.” “Where did she go?” “I don’t know. She just wrote she wanted divorce.” His dad didn’t say anything for some time. Then his dad asked “Did you had any argument?” “No Dad! I just can’t able to earn enough.” “I know that. But it was not in your hand.” “But she didn’t like it.” Then his father kept quiet for some time. Finally, his dad spoke “I will come with your mom to stay with you. Why don’t you just pack up & come to stay with us?” “What do you mean Dad? I have my business & my projects!” “I know but I don’t want you to remain alone there in that house.” “Dad what do you mean? I am not coward. I will manage all.” He said it with determination. He started to look around in house. He brought one cardboard box. He started to drop one by one all items which belonged to Hina. Then he sensed that he needed to inform her family. He decided to call her mom. He called & her mom immediately took call immediately. “Auntie I want to tell you that Hina left house & she wrote me that she wanted divorce.” Her mom started abusing me. “This happened because of you. You are such useless person. You can’t able to keep one job or even manage to make her pregnant.” This was so painful. He wanted to answer back & tell she didn’t wanted baby. But he couldn’t speak. His tongue became such useless. He couldn’t talk. She kept blaming him but he said nothing. It was so painful. Finally, he said “She never wanted baby. She dislikes me. I am sorry. I can’t keep your daughter happy.” “What is use of confession now? My daughter had already run away. You should have told this before. Then we could have done something.” He didn’t want to cry but he started it. Finally, he disconnected call. He knew that her parents wouldn’t leave him alone. He tried his best to adjust but after sometime her parents came to visit him. Her father began to scream on him “Where is my daughter? What did you do to her?” Then her father slapped him. He was so shocked. Entire society was watching that drama. He tried his best to convince that he did nothing but still they kept screaming abusing. They even started to threaten him that they wanted to call Police. He was so scared. But other member of society told him to show her message. Then one lady from Society called Hina. Luckily Hina took her call. Hina told her parents clearly that she was not interested in staying with Ravi. She was planning to live with another man. Her parents tried to convince her but it was useless. Finally, her parents decided  to go home. But they still kept blaming him. He felt so alone & hurt. They kept blaming all on his less earnings. He didn’t say anything. He went inside. He cried loudly. He didn’t care if any one heard it or not from outside but pain was unbearable for his mind now.

      Ravi’s neighbours were listening to his crying. One member said “I feel he need help.” “Yes. One divorce lawyer & one counsellor too. He married to wrong woman.” All nodded. They sensed it long ago. When Ravi lost job they all noticed change in Hina immediately. “But what if he does something to himself?” Suddenly all got more tense. They started knocking on door loudly. One member called family doctor told all. That doctor gave name of psychiatrist. Ravi wanted to kill himself but he didn’t have much option. He needed to open door. He opened it. When all entered in house, immediately one neighbour started suggesting psychiatrist. He was so angry. He ran to hit that person. All stopped him. No one got aggressive or angry with him. But they took psychiatrist's appointment & it was decided who would go with him. They were so nice. He never thought about them that much. But today he felt gratitude towards them. He needed someone. On that point his mom called. She was crying on phone. He wanted to console her but he started crying too. Finally, one neighbour took phone & gave confidence to his parents that they would help him. They were tense but they began to feel positive. His neighbours gave that positivity to him. One neighbour stayed with him. He felt so nice due to it. Next morning another neighbour took him to psychiatrist. After that visit slowly psychiatrist taught him ways to cope up with crisis. He listened to him. After two days he began to feel little better. He began his work. He needed to employ help. He decided to spend money. He needed to work. He called lawyer. He prepared divorce papers & sent them to Hina’s parents. Soon they managed to get date of court. They kept it on mutual ground. Luckily, she didn’t demanded alimony so he didn’t need to get tense about it. Soon he sensed that she was planning to marry with her ex-boss. He felt sad but he accepted it. He congratulated her with smile. On that day he finally moved on. He decided to forget Hina. He began to live his life. He started to enjoy his life in his own way. He learnt to remain happy alone. It was not hard. It was easy. He didn’t hurry up regarding finding next partner. He was not certain what he wanted next. He just decided to remain alone for some time. After all he was getting over his pain & learning to laugh. He wanted some time. He decided to give it to himself.

                               Broken things

Sandip was so happy when Kalpana called him. He knew that his marriage was not going in right way. He tried to become nice husband but it was not working. His every effort went in wrong way. He was nice man. He was trying so hard to become gentle with her. But it didn’t work. He got angry sometimes. He looked around. In his house he noticed many things which were broken by him. He knew that he had mental issue but he decided that they were not such big thing. He took call. Kalpana was talking in soft voice “So what is your decision?” “About what?” “Our marriage!” “What about it? We are already married.” She didn’t say anything for some time. Then she said “But we are not happy with each other.” “Who told you that? I can adjust with you. You are not perfect but I understand. No one is perfect in life. Just come back we will adjust.” Kalpana didn’t say anything for some time. Sandip was so odd. He was talking in such odd way. He was speaking in such tone as if she was planning to make apology. She didn’t understand why did he feel that way. She was upset with all. They were married for few years. She didn’t get pregnant until now so she was confused about her future. Her parents kept telling her that she just needed to get pregnant & all would be fine. But she was not so sure. She was feeling so uncertain. It was so painful. She didn’t understand where her future was taking her. She knew that she needed to remain calm & she was doing it. She didn’t like his attitude. She was not certain if they had child it would change. She felt scared that it might not change. In fact, she didn’t want child. She came to her parent’s house after their argument. He was almost ready to kill her this time. She remembered very well how did he was throwing things on her body. She was so scared. But when she reached to her parent’s house, they didn’t see any marks on her body so they decided that she was not hurt. Her father declared “Sandip was not planning to hit you at all. He was just scaring you. Come on! You need to adjust. You can see our house. It is small. We are just managing to handle our expenses. We don’t want one daughter who got divorced.”  Her mom wanted to argue but Kalpana knew that it was useless so she stopped her mom. Her father had money for his entertainment & his desires but when it came to her or her mom, he didn’t have any. Kalpana knew very well that her father wanted her to marry Sandip since Sandip was just like her father. Her father always enjoyed when Sandip dominated her. Her father wanted her to go back to Sandip. She didn’t want to but she didn’t have much option so she called him. But Sandip was talking in odd way. He was living in different world. He didn’t even sense that he did mistake by throwing things on her. He felt it was her mistake. She didn’t say anything. Finally, she said “I will call you after few days I need to do some work.” “OH! I understand. You must help your parents. I will visit them soon.” She shivered with fear. She didn’t want him to visit her parents. But she knew that she couldn’t stop. Her father wouldn’t listen. She just kept quiet. He smiled & decided to visit her parents soon. Gtt

          Kalpana didn’t like this idea at all. She was expecting to relax herself. Instead, she began to cook in her parent’s house to please Sandip. She knew that her father wanted special respect for Sandip in their house. She was daughter of that house but still her father admired Sandip lot more than her. She was feeling so negative about all. Her mom came in kitchen & looked towards her with tense look. Her Mom “Why you need to do so many things for him after what he done to you?” “Mom, I need to go back! He is my husband. I don’t have much options. I must return so I want to keep him happy at any cost. This way he will be happy.” “Then he will not hit you anymore?” She didn’t answer that question. She just changed subject. But her mom knew the answer. Mom “Only if your father had died you could have returned home. One day he will die then you can divorce that husband.” Kalpana smiled sweetly towards her mom. Her mom was right. Her father was worst person. His death would be one welcome thought for all. Only Sandip would feel sad about it. Sandip always admired her father. She knew that her father always inspired him. She felt so sad. She was born in wrong house. She wanted a father who cared for her.  But then she felt that was wrong thought. Sandip would have cause lot more harm to her father if her father had been nice man. Sandip was evil person. She had no doubts about it. She needed to keep him happy so she was cooking for him with full attention. She wanted to cook in best style. She didn’t want to listen abuse & taunts. She began to sense that she didn’t have much option than cooking. She wanted to escape her destiny. But she didn’t. She kept remaining stuck in it. She didn’t find a way out of it. Her Mom was telling her to ignore husband. But it was not possible. In her heart she was glad that they didn’t have children. She didn’t want children. It was scariest thought for her. She didn’t want to give birth to child in that house & grew her baby under guidance of Sandip as father. It was worst nightmare but she didn’t dare to say it. She took deep breath. She started to calm herself. She kept cooking in her best style. Soon wonderful smell of her cooking started to fill entire house. It was so pleasant. But her father didn’t plan to say it. Kalpana needed to be treated like low level creature. Her father always wanted her to stay that way. He liked Sandip when Sandip taunted her. Many people told him that Sandip was not right person to became his son-in-law. But he wanted that type of son-in-law only. He knew Sandip wouldn’t admire Kalpana too much.

          Sandip was working hard in his office on that day. That was special day for him. New client just visited factory & he needed to impress client. Sandip always concentrated on running around clients. He always talked so sweetly with client that they couldn’t sense his true feelings. Most of the time he hated all his clients but he was great at pretending. But today he wanted to leave early. He needed to do it to please Kalpana. Sometimes he felt that he was pampering her too much. She needed to be treated strictly. But this time he decided to talk sweetly. He even managed to select one gift for her. After talking with his friends, he left early. His friends were clearly shocked. He never loved his wife that much. But that day Sandip decided to act differently. Kalpana was cooking food carefully. But suddenly she looked around. She saw one bottle of chilly sauce. She kept looking towards it. Slowly she stopped there. Suddenly Kalpana sensed that she was standing before Sandip. She was serving him. She didn’t remember when she set this table. She didn’t remember anything after that chilly sauce. She looked around. Sandip was eating. Every one was enjoying. Clearly food was tasty. She didn’t understand where was that chilly sauce. She was so scared. She heard from people that some people developed such issues after stress. She needed to handle it on her own. He looked around. Only her mom was hopeful one. On that point Sandip decided to drink juice. She felt so confused. She never did juice. She wanted to stop him. But she was so scared. He took one glass of juice. As soon as he started to drink, he began to vomit. He started to feel uneasy. He said “What did you add in juice?” She couldn’t answer. She didn’t remember making it. Her father immediately called Doctor who advised to call ambulance. Sandip went in hospital in ambulance. She was certain that he would send her in jail. But she didn’t care. She just wanted to remember all. But she couldn’t. After sometime Cops came. They took her to Police station in Police car. She didn’t say anything. Finally, after few hours she confessed that she didn’t remember anything. Cops asked different questions. She answered all honestly. One Cop said “You don’t need to worry. It was just chilly sauce he will not die. We understand your mental situation. What about remaining in Psychiatric care for some time?” She immediately nodded. She said “I need it. I try so hard to remember but I can’t. I want to act in correct way. I hate Sandip but I don’t want to become like him.” So, she went in Psychiatric care. Sandip sent her divorce letter soon. She signed it. She knew that now she would be just burden for her father. She never wanted to live with Sandip. Her luck was bad. But when she came out, suddenly she got one nice opportunity. Her one old classmate was widower. He was planning to remarry & start life. Her mom arranged meeting. She met him. They got married. Soon they had their first child. Kalpana was working as salesgirl side by side while taking care of her child. She wanted to do some job. Her husband didn’t mind. It was odd she never got pregnant when she was married to Sandip but this time she immediately got pregnant. It must be her mental issue since Sandip also got child from his second marriage. They were just not made for each other. Kalpana kept saying it & pretending but she couldn’t avoid watching dark circles under eyes of Sandip’s wife. She knew that Sandip was nightmare but she was not going to say it now. She just talked positively about Sandip & Sandip also didn’t abuse her. They both decided to remain polite. Sandip always kept saying “ She has mental issues it is not her crime.” But she never discussed his mental issues which he was never planning to solve. She knew that it was none of her business now. She just concentrated on her husband & child while ignoring Sandip & his remarks.

Arpita was so happy when she saw gift from her dad. Arpita was favorite in her family. Arpita never faced issue on any point about anything. She always demanded things & she always got it. She kept feeling so stressed when her family fulfilled her demand. She remembered what her late grandmother used to tell her parents. “Don’t give her everything otherwise she will make it her habit.” She felt so angry by that comment. She always tried her best to not demand anything. She was not spoiled in that angle. She tried to help her mom in cooking. Her mom handled all in her house. Her grandparents were helpful too. But her grandmother always kept pointing towards her. She felt so sad about it. She didn’t understand why did her grandmother kept taunting her. Today after long time finally her grandmother came back in her memory. She always avoided her memory. Her grandmother was so bossy. She looked towards her grandfather. Grandfather smiled but she could clearly observe that he had that emptiness in eyes. After death of her grandmother her grandfather became sad man. He kept talking about joining her in heaven. But she had doubts. She didn’t feel her grandmother would be in heaven. Her grandmother didn't made any mistakes in life. She knew them all but she didn’t plan to tell them to anyone. She knew that she must not talk against dead person. She supposed to forget their crimes. She needed to feel positive about them. She smiled sweetly when she looked towards gift given by her father. This was her last birthday in that house. Next year she wouldn’t be staying here. Her parents managed to find one life partner for her through arranged marriage. She met him. He was nice boy but she was not exactly in love with him. Actually, she didn’t find anything wrong with him. She wanted to marry one educated & well to do boy. This boy had all so she decided to marry him. She didn’t love him. But she knew that she was going to marry him. She knew that she needed someone who keep her happy. This boy would keep her happy. She was working so hard to adjust with him. She knew that his name was Samir & she supposed to call him Samir. He permitted her to call him by name. She was thrilled by it or she pretended to be thrilled. She did all to admire his every action. She didn’t show any negativity towards him. She knew that she was trying level best to please him. She was a little bit nervous regarding all. She looked towards her gift. She was expecting Samir to come too. But he said that he was too busy. She felt sad. She knew that he had work to do meeting to attend & clients to meet. He was not staying in home . She was just staying in home. She wanted to make her career. But her career didn’t manage to get success so she decided to forget it & she planned to stay in home.

        Samir told his junior to send some nice gift to his future wife. In his eyes Arpita was good looking girl. He would like to make her wife. She had those qualities which would make everyone jealous & he admired her beauty too. But he was not in love with her. He never planned to fall in love with her too. He was practical man who needed a wife to give birth to his children which he could show world as some trophy. He needed a family to bring with him on every dinner party. He needed to click photos with other rich people & their families. Arpita would be perfect for such photos. He knew that he needed to keep showering her with gifts time to time. But he didn’t mind. He needed one wife & she was perfect. He knew that she wanted him to join but he was certain his costly gift would make her happy. He knew that he was not so important. Arpita was not waiting for him since he informed her already. But he knew that making one call would be better so when Arpita was about to open her gift, her mobile rang. She was so happy when she saw Samir was calling. She began to think that he was in love with her so even during his board meeting he called. Your work is very important for me.” He smiled slowly. He knew that she was just concerned about money. He knew that since he was earning, she didn’t mind if he didn’t visit her. He smiled happily. He sensed that it was all about just money. He needed to earn more & more. He was happy that she was thinking same way. Arpita didn’t sense that he felt she wanted just money. She was trying her best to keep him happy. She knew that she couldn’t earn so she decided that she needed to adjust. In her heart she wanted him to come. She needed to at least spend some time with him. But then on other hand she began to think that she would be happy even in his absence. She needed money & he would give it to her. Everyone around her was telling same thing to her. She must adjust with him.

        Samir was happy when he received appreciation for his costly gift. He was certain that those gifts were making him famous. Arpita kept smiling throughout party but when she came to sleep, she began to get uneasy. She started to sense that she was not happy. She hardly knew Samir. He never took much interest in her. She felt so nervous around him. She knew that he was busy but she needed to demand sometime so she decided to call him. She looked towards time. It was little bit late but still she needed to make call. She dialled his mobile number. He took some time to take call. “What happened?”  He sounded so upset. She didn’t understand how could he sound like that. Her voice was not something pleasant for him. She slowly said “I thought we need to spend some time with each other.” “Why? I gave you gift. I thought you are happy.” She liked gift. She wanted it but she also wanted sometime. “I feel so stressed. We never manage to meet.” “Oh! Come on. I have busy schedule & tomorrow I am going on vacation with my friends don’t call me there!” She felt so shocked. He didn’t want to introduce her to his friends. You can just talk with your family members.” She felt so nervous. She said “Okay” in slow voice & disconnected call. She ran towards her parent’s bedroom. She felt nervous. She didn’t want to disturb them but she didn’t have much option. She knocked door & waited. Her mom opened door after sometimes. Mom “What is it?” “Mom, I want to discuss about marriage.” Her father screamed from behind “We are already spending lots of money. Now I don’t want you to increase expenses. Try to understand sweetheart Papa have some budget.” “Papa I just want to cancel marriage.” “What?” She didn’t say anything for some time. But her mom already started to cry. She sensed that she couldn’t cancel marriage. She was trapped. Her father told her to stop joking & sent her back in her room. She went in her room & she started to cry. She sensed on that day. She didn’t want those gifts any more. She wanted someone who would love her. She began to feel so restless. She couldn’t marry Samir. She needed to run away. She began to feel so scared. She needed money. She remembered gifts she got. She started to plan to sell them. She needed to run away. She began to search for all. She started to find all jewellery. She was desperate. That she just packed all & ran out of house. She began to walk. She was walking alone on streets in that lonely night. She didn’t even feel scared.

         Arpita’s neighbour was driving home late after work. He was feeling so tired. He was planning to sleep but his sleep vanished when he saw Arpita walking on street in that odd way. Her hair were scattered around her face, her dress was looking odd too. She had one large suitcase & she was just dragging it. Her neighbour looked behind Arpita one man was following her. He clearly had evil intention. That man already began to call his friends. Arpita’s neighbour knew that he needed to interfere in this matter. He called Arpita. Arpita suddenly looked towards him. She kept looking at him for some time. But when he insisted, she came towards his car. He literally forcibly dragged her in car since by that time he sensed group of men with wrong intention started to gather. But when Arpita sat in his car, they lost interest. Arpita’ neighbour was so scared. He called his wife & told all. His wife told him to bring Arpita in their home. He agreed to do it. Whole time Arpita was watching ahead when there was nothing interesting there. Her eyes were so vacant. It was really scary. When Arpita went in house of her neighbours, she kept looking at some unknown point. Finally, her neighbours decided to call her parents. When her parents came, they were shocked. They tried to argue with Arpita. Then Arpita started crying screaming. She literally became hysterical. They didn’t have any option. They called Doctor. Doctor checked her & told that she had nervous breakdown. They needed to admit her. Arpita’s parents were so sad. They needed to tell everything to all including Samir now. They knew that this would break her engagement. But they didn’t have option. So Arpita was admitted for treatment. When Samir understood it he immediately broken engagement. In few days he found new girl & got married. It was sad for Arpita but when Arpita came out after treatment she was happiest person of world. She knew that she didn’t want those gifts. She knew that she didn’t want to become just trophy wife. Her grandmother was wrong. She was not fond of gift. She wanted love & affection. She came back in her home.
