Someone was watching her
Sarika was sleeping peacefully and wind was playing with her hair. She totally forgot to close her window. He managed to see her that night. He was not obsessed. He told himself again and again. But he was so obsessed. He came near her window and Sarika heard sound of leaves. She shivered in sleep and woke up. She started to look around. She began to sense different feelings locked inside her soul. She knew that someone was watching her during her sleep. She ran towards window. She closed it without second thought. She didn't want to take risk. She didn't move ahead to watch who it was. She ran inside. Soon she went out of her room. She started to reaching for her parent's room. She didn't able to move towards it easily. She was so confused. She managed to hit herself to cupboard. She looked down at her feet. She clearly saw her finger was bleeding. She didn't have much option. She kept running. Finally she reached to her parent's room. Now she was confused again. She watched their door. It was closed. Clearly her parents were sleeping and she knew that her father wouldn't be happy if she disturbed him in middle of night. Her father was strict man. He never cared about anyone except himself. She knew that he would be upset. She looked at her wounded feet. She wanted to wake up her Mom. She needed her but she decided against it. She remembered those insults which she subjected when she went inside last time. Her father said that she was coward. She didn't have sense that entering in room this way at night was so disgusting. She must get out immediately. She did it. She shivered at that memory. Her feet was paining so much. She looked at it. She needed at least first aid. She started searching for that box. On that point she sensed that something was inside mirror. It was observing her. She shivered and screamed. Then suddenly someone touched her shoulder. She wanted to scream loudly but one hand closed her mouth. She sensed that this fellow entered in house. She didn't understand how but he was inside. She was so sure that she was going to get hurt in bad way. She wanted to scream but she was helpless. She started kicking as much as possible to free herself from hold. Then suddenly she heard Mom's voice. Mom was calling her. She shivered. She was so sure that this fellow had weapon. She was so scared that he might kill her Mom. Then suddenly she sensed that this fellow was vanishing. She was so confused. She ran to Mom. She said loudly " Mom he is following me. He is here." Her Mom started patting on her shoulder. Mom kept saying " Calm down! Calm down! No one is here." Sarika didn't sense her voice was so loud. But her Dad heard her and came out screaming " What is wrong? Ohh! she started it again? I am telling you. She is mad just like my Mom. We must send her to mental asylum before it become too late." She shivered. She kept shaking. Then she took deep breath and said " I am fine." Mom " But you are hurt." " Don't worry I will manage." Sarika went back in her room. She locked it's door. She was so sure someone was there. But her parents told her that it was her imagination. But she was still scared of rape or murder. She decided to lock door then she pulled cupbroad before it. She wanted to be safe. After this she went to sleep. She didn't understand when her madness would stop. She kept feeling that someone was following her. She didn't understand why this was happening to her. They said her grandmother was mad in same way so she was mad too. It was hereditary. She felt so sad at beginning but now she accepted it. Her life was doomed from her birth. She kept hearing sounds. She wanted to go out and check them. But she knew that it was just her imagination. She closed her eyes and kept counting sheeps. Still she couldn't able to sleep in those sounds. Then she remembered her headphones. She took out her mobile and she began to listen to music. Soon she sensed that those sounds were stopped when she began to listen to music. They were not in head as normally they did. It was strange. She was so upset. But she knew that it was just her imagination so she kept concentrating on her thoughts. Soon she fall asleep. Then she suddenly sensed that someone was knocking on her door. Her small sister!! She could hear her voice. But it was not possible. She was dead. She knew that she died due to sickness last year. She was so confused suddenly. She didn't understand what was truth. She began to feel that her sister might be alive and she dreamt all. She didn't understand what was possible. She was so confused. She wanted to wake up and open door. It kept banging and banging. Then it suddenly stopped. She slowly went towards it. Then she heard her Mom's voice. " What happened? Are you alright?" She wanted to tell her Mom that she was fine. But she was not. She was shivering. Even her voice was shivering with fear. She couldn't speak properly so she kept quiet. Then suddenly her father's voice entered. " Come out stupid girl!!" She shivered. She didn't want to open door now. She kept thinking again and again way to escape this mess. She didn't want to face her father. She began to feel killing herself was better. She started thinking ways of it. She was so confused. She didn't understand what she was doing. She started searching something in her room. She didn't understand what. Then she felt that it might be solution. She kept searching. She wanted a door with which she could vanish from room. It was so wonderful idea for her. She kept searching on every point for solution. She began to feel that it might be something hidden in room. She felt as if she was in game. She started to search in room. She began to feel some potion was truly existed in room where she was sleeping. She kept searching again and again. Slowly she even began to hear voice of clock time was ticking. She needed to hurry up. She kept searching and searching again and again. It was so important and she had to do it at any cost. She kept studying every corner of room.
Sarika's Mom was so upset. She was clearly hearing sound inside room. She was so scared. She knew that Sarika was so upset when she came in her room. She didn't understand why did her husband never understood Sarika's problem. She was their only chid now. He needed to treat her at least with little bit softness but he was hitting on door. He kept looking at her with confusion. Dad " What's wrong with her? Why did she needed to keep acting that?" " It is not her mistake. She didn't want to behave like that but her brain didn't work properly." " Really!! But it work properly when she wanted something. Like on that day she wanted movie tickets so she went to even out of town to purchase them. Why she didn't felt confused on that time?!! Why only when we went to sleep?" " She might be scared of night or something like that?!!" " Really so she get mad only in nights. I heard night blindness but I never heard night madness." Dad started laughing. Dad " I know one thing that I needed to punish her. She is getting spoiled. You are pampering her too much. You start from morning and keep on till night. She needed to be disciplined." Sarika's Mom felt so scared. She felt that Dad was acting in wrong way. She started calling Sarika again. Inside room Sarika shivered. But then she decided to open door with determination. She knew that she needed to go out. She opened it. Dad was so red with anger. He started to push that door when Sarika opened. Sarika smiled and said " I was in washroom." Dad's face suddenly calmed. Dad " We heard scream." " Ohh I slipped little bit on soap then I managed to get balance. I am fine now." Her Dad looked satisfied. Dad " Why did you need to always create so much nuisance at night?!! We all need some sleep." " Sorry Dad." Then her Dad turned back to go in room. She knew that now he would went away and her Mom would stay and she wanted it. She wanted to tell entire truth to Mom. It was so stressful. She kept searching in room for something which was not existed in world. Sarika started to find these effects different to understand. She began to get restless. She didn't understand what sort of treatment to cure herself. She needed to do something. She must tell Mom. She expected her Dad to go away. But her Dad suddenly stopped. Dad " What is this mess in your room?" He immediately entered in room. She started to look around. She sensed that she managed to destroy entire room. Her room was never perfect but it was not even so much damaged. She looked around. Soon she sensed that this room was looking so different. She didn't understand why. Then she sensed that someone managed to bring new things in it. It had bottles of different type of alcohol. She didn't even know them. Her Dad looked at her with anger. Dad " Are you drinking again?" She was so shocked. She never touched alcohol and her Dad was asking did she started drinking again. It was so shocking. " Dad you know me. I never drink!!" " Then who drink this?" Her Dad slapped her. It hurt. She started massaging her cheek. She knew that now he would get more and more angry. She wanted to solve her all troubles. But it was not happening. She didn't even remember drinking. She started thinking about entire day. Soon she sensed that her day was so confused. Someone followed her. She was so glad that she remembered something. " Dad someone was in this room.." Dad started cursing her. Dad " So you started to bring unknown men inside our house too." Mom " She is just imagining." " Really? And how did you know that?" " I am staying with her whole time!!" " So you saw her bringing those bottles?!!" Mom didn't say anything. Dad began to scream more loudly. Dad " So you permit your daughter to get drunk?" " I tried to stop. But she didn't listen." Sarika was so shocked. She was sure that she didn't do anything like that. She started to think about her entire day. It was just empty. She knew that she couldn't explain. But she didn't have money. Sarika " But I don't have money!!" " Yes you don't have money now but on that time I gave you money to bring some items from kitchen." Then Mom immediately turned to Dad and said " I tell you that it was biggest mistake. I will not repeat it. She seemed so normal." Sarika was so shocked. Sarika " I am normal." Then she suddenly sensed his presence. She screamed " He is around." She ran out of room. She didn't want to be in room with him. She kept shivering. She didn't stop until she was not sure that she was safe. She began to feel so scared. Her Mom ran after her. Dad " Her drama started again. I feel one slap is not enough." Mom "Please let me handle. You can go to sleep." " Sure. I pay and feed all of you and in return I don't get anything. What you have given me? One mad daughter!! Another sick!! I am glad that she is dead at least. Now I pray to God that this one will die soon too." Mom started to cry. Sarika stopped. She sensed that she was losing control again. She suddenly began to remember. She was walking ahead. She was buying items which Mom demanded. But then suddenly she sensed that smell. She smelt alcohol and everything changed. She didn't understand why did she got tempted. She didn't understand why she didn't sense that she was alcoholic. She needed to accept it. Then only she could be fine. She would become normal. She didn't even remember when she started drinking. On that day when her Dad slapped her before all guests. She still remembered that day. It was one of her worst memories. She stopped in hall. She sat since he was no longer in room with her. It was just her memory. He was not coming near her. He was going to stay far away. He didn't come when sorrow came in life. He just took away her happiness. He didn't like to follow her when she suffered. He was scared of sorrows. She sometimes felt that sorrows were worst thing even for her followers and harasser. Sorrows were so scary.
Sarika began to remember that party. She was getting ready with her small sister Isha. Isha was so nice. She was sick but she never complained about her health. She just kept precautions. She didn't eat wrong things. She wanted to remain healthy. They were getting dressed. It was so exciting. Her Dad planned party in their house. They had renovated house. They created it specially for party. With Mom they did everything. This time Dad was spending money freely. He had objected few things. But each time they needed to take permission. It was so hard for them. Sometimes Dad even insulted but Isha never cared. They got everything just as they wanted because of Isha. She was so smart and patient. Isha never felt scared before Dad not like her. She always shivered before him. Even on that day she was scared but she couldn't dare to look at him. But Isha was joking on him. She was so brave and nice. Sarika was so impressed by her. Sarika felt that just because of her. She could able to do as she wished. On that day she had selected a dress which was precious for her. She kept watching that dress for hours. Then suddenly her door knocked. Her Dad entered in room. Dad looked at Sarika's dress. Dad " You have wasted so much money on this dress?!!" Sarika shivered. Isha answered for her " Dad it is latest fashion!!" Dad started laughing. Dad " She would look fat in it. She is already overweight.."Sarika worked hard to control her tears. Isha " She is perfect. She is so good looking." " And you are so healthy?!!" Dad cracked this joke on Isha and started laughing. Dad " I just hope you can at least survive this party. You will not land in hospital after this." Isha worked hard to control her tears. She needed to change dress when she sensed that he was around. She knew that someone was watching her. She was so scared. She looked around. She started searching for that fellow but she couldn't locate. She was so sure. She knew that person was watching. She couldn't change her dress. She was so scared. She didn't sense her fear at beginning but now it started to grow. She slowly went near Isha and told her " Someone is watching us." Isha stood up with fear at beginning. She was not so scared too. But then Isha started to search around room. She began to sense that Sarika was lying. Isha " Are you joking? No one is there." Sarika " No..no he is around. Don't change dress!!" " We must call Mom." Isha started calling Mom. Mom came inside running. With her even Aunties entered. Mom " What happened?" Isha said " Sarika says someone is inside." Aunty " Impossible!! No one entered in house after us. Your Uncle is carefully standing near door to welcome guests. I told him this is too early but he didn't agree with me." Sarika " Then someone might have entered before it. Many people came to decorate." Suddenly everyone felt convinced. They started to search house. This madness continued for an hour. Then one Aunty declared " Noone is here now. If someone was here, then he must managed to escape when Sarika was warning Isha. He must had heard warning." Mom " But how did he entered in girl's room unnoticed?!!" " What is use of discussing this now? Girls just go and change. Guest will come soon." They nodded and went in room. Sarika was so scared. She decided to change in washroom. It was so scary. She kept sensing someone was watching her. She started to get ready. She tried to do make up but everything turned in wrong way. She tried to do her best but still she didn't manage to do much. She kept feeling someone was watching her. When she came out, she was looking worst. She tried to adjust dress but it didn't adjust properly. She kept trying her best. When she came out of washroom, she saw Isha. She was looking nice angel. Isha was so pale but still she was so beautiful. Sarika smiled. Isha came running towards her. Isha " My God you done it all wrong. Let me repair." Isha forced her to sit before mirror. Isha kept trying for long time. Then Dad started calling. They needed to go out. Guests were coming. Suddenly Dad saw Sarika and said " She is looking worst. What have you done?" There was such look in his eyes that Sarika began to feel she was worst thing in world. She suddenly wanted to run back in her room. She began to feel that person was watching her. She began to feel that person would touch her. She wanted to run back in room. But she couldn't her Dad wouldn't permit it. She decided to go in corner. She started to look out of window and pretended as if she was seeing most wonderful things in world from it. But she could clearly hear her relatives were chatting with each other. " What's wrong with her?" " Nothing just ignore her. She is like that only. She had inherited this from grandmother." She sat near window entire time. Few guests came and said " Hello" to her. Many just ignored her. But due to her wrong make up many kept away from her. Then suddenly her Dad appeared out of nowhere. He was clearly drunk. He started showing off his glass of wine. " You must try it." She said " No. I am fine." But her Dad insisted. He forced few slips under her throat and then she loved it. She started to drink more and more. Her world became colourful. It was wonderful thing. She started dancing with joy. That man who was watching her no longer remained threat. It was first time when she got drunk. She knew that all guests saw her. They all took it in totally wrong way. But truthfully she didn't care. She didn't care at all. But after this every one felt that she was mad and alcoholic. She didn't know how much truth was inside those statements. She knew just one thing that she never visited Doctor for these things. Her family Doctor tried to suggest but not directly and her Dad ignored. She was now stuck in this worst world of imagination forever. Isha was dead. She still tried to remember Isha's last moments but they were blank. She was needed to remember all. She took deep breath and she sensed one thing. She needed to visit that psychiatrist which her family Doctor suggested again and again. She went back to her bed and slept. Her Dad kept screaming but she slept with close eyes while sensing pain on her cheeks due to slap by her Dad.
When Sarika woke up, she sensed in daylight things were looking better. She was so upset in night but in daytime she didn't feel so much presence of that person. She didn't understand why did she kept feeling someone was following her. She slowly came out of room. She sensed that her Dad was still inside home, she didn't want to face him. She once again went to her bed and pretended that she was sleeping. Then she suddenly heard voice of her Dad. " This stupid girl slept like that every day." Her Mom " No..no she never slept like that. It must be because of yesterday." " I want you to take her to that Doctor of mad people. She was becoming more and more mad daily. We need to handle her. She can't keep waking us up every day!!" Mom " I know but I don't understand way.." " Take her to Doctor. Our family Doctor gave us number. Or did you want me to join?" " No..no I will handle it." " Great then just do it." She didn't hear further conversation. She began to feel so upset. She knew now her Dad would call her burden. She knew that she needed to hear it all. She decided to just close her ears. She closed her door. She knew that it would stop all voices. She was closing her ears this way. She began to feel so peaceful in her soul. Then soon she sensed that it was useless. She kept sensing someone was around. Finally she sat down then she stood up. She started looking in room when her Mom entered. She could see from her face that she was crying. Sarika smiled and said " Mom don't worry I want to see that Doctor too." Mom hugged her and started crying. Mom said " Don't worry. They will not harm you. They will cure you." Her Mom kept repeating this as if she was convincing it to herself. Truthfully she was. Mom was so scared of psychiatrists. Sarika didn't understand why. But she knew one thing that her Mom didn't trust them. But now they needed to do that. Then Mom called their family Doctor who gave them number. Mom immediately took appointment. Sarika felt happy by this. She never thought that she would feel that way about Psychiatrist but she was so sick of this mental sickness and her Dad's every day violence that she wanted to stop them at any cost. She was even ready to be locked in hospital. She was no longer interested in staying in this house where she kept remembering her sister Isha and getting drunk. She knew one thing no one was coming to help her. She needed to ask for help. Then only she could get help. She started waiting for appointment. Then finally time came. Her Mom was scared. Sarika was not scared of psychiatrists. She was just scared of her imaginary follower. She didn't understand when that follower start to follow her. She was fine in morning. She felt no one was going to harm her. She got ready. She was so perfect that she even thought of cancelling appointment but her Mom did like this idea. Mom " Now that we took appointment. I don't want excuse. We must visit psychiatrist. If you are fine then I am happy about it. But if you have problem I want it to be treated as soon as possible." Sarika nodded. Then they started to get ready. She was okay on that point. After some time her Mom's mobile rang. Her Dad called her to confirm they were going and her Mom did it. Then they went out. Sarika suddenly began to feel someone was watching her. She was in cab. It was not possible. She started searching but she didn't find anything. Driver waited for some moments then finally asked " What happened? What did Madam want?" Her Mom smiled and said " Nothing. It is just her earring!!" " I hope it is fake not real gold." " No..no just artificial jewellery." Then Driver ignored her. Mom took breath of relief only when they reached to Doctor. Sarika was getting hysteric about her search and that Driver was insisting on stopping it. Driver kept saying. " Don't keep moving like that you will damage Taxi or you could hurt yourself." Finally they reached there. Sarika kept searching even clinic. Then finally they came inside. Sarika was scared. She started telling. She didn't stop. She kept telling her story. She stopped only when it was over. Then she asked " Do you feel I am mad and I needed to locked up in mental hospital?" Psychiatrist started laughing. Psychiatrist " You are just scared of your father. Just your fear crossed all limits and began to create impact on your normal mind." " So I am not mad like my grandmother?" " Who told you that? Let me guess your father!!" She nodded. Then she added " Many agreed to him. Even Mom felt that way." Mom nodded. Mom " She is telling truth I felt that way too." Psychiatrist smiled and said " No. She is too much scared of her Dad. She felt that he was watching her whole time. It is mental problem no doubt but it is created just due to fear and alcohol is increasing it's impact. This is simple problem. We will handle it. We need to start treatment from today after some session you will see different yourself." Sarika didn't believe him when he said it but as he began treatment she sensed it. She began to feel reduction in her fear. She began to handle her fear of her father. She soon sensed that he was not happy about it. Dad wanted to stop her treatment. She was so upset. But she didn't stop it. Soon she became normal. She started to stay away from alcohol. She began to sense that she was no longer scared. On that day when she was not scared of her father, she didn't sense any one was watching her. She began to sense that she was scared of her Dad's taunts when they were meaningless. She sensed that no one was watching her except her Dad who liked to bully her but she learnt to ignore him and started her life in new way.
