Rose was sitting in hall while sitting on that chair peacefully. She was reading a book. But in heart she knew that it was just show off. She was waiting for answer of job application. She wanted appointment letter. She was waiting for that letter since many centuries. She knew that it was not that long. But she felt just one thing that on every step she was getting so much insulted with each 'no' that it was like centuries for her mind. She just wanted appointment. She didn't want to show it before her sister and her parents. She hated to show her weakness to her family. She just wanted to hide it. She just felt one thing from inside that if she didn't get it. They must not turn a chance to considering her less. It was horrible for them all. She started thinking on every point just one thing. That she wanted that job but she didn't want that job to hurt her. She wanted to go and take every post. But she was not moving. Finally her mother took postage. There was a letter in that post. She started looking at that letter. In that letter she didn't know if in that letter had appointment or rejection. She just never sensed in that letter.If there was rejection in letter, it would had worst effect in life. In those letter there could be two answers. She didn't knew which answer was there. She didn't want to read it by herself. Rose "Mom open it for me." Mom looked confused. But then Mom opened it and screamed with joy. "Rose you have done it. My sweet heart you got that job." Her Mom hugged her with affection. Her sister also started congratulating her. It was so great. She finally got that job. That job was so much important for her. She was going to prove herself. That job was having effect on her future. Then that job would have so much impact on her life. Now finally she was going to prove every one that Rose could do something in world. She was having so much thoughts in her mind. She started to understand one thing that this job would prove miracle for her. She smiled. She was looking now more great than her elder sister. Her elder sister never got such a nice job. Now she could prove this world. That at every step she needed to work in such a good way that she should get promotion faster and faster on every point. She had to work hard. She looked at that appointment letter. She started studying every paragraph of that letter. In every sentence she began to see hope and hard work also. She decided that she must had to work for that job. But she never thought about job profile when she applied. Now she began to look at every concept. Then she started preparing for that job. She started thinking that how did she would please her friends. She started working for that job. She started once again studying things which were needed. She knew just one thing that she had to please all people on that job. She had to adjust with them and she had to look perfect at every angle. She liked that job not for type of work but for that status it would give to her.
When Rose got ready for job, she was so confused that what type of clothes she should wear. She could wear traditional or western clothes. She was so confused regarding choice of clothes. She didn't know which would be perfect. Then she finally selected one long top and leggin which would look okay for both type of people. Then next question appeared. She didn't know if she should do make up. After all it was having effect of her impression. She neither wanted to look too backward nor she wanted to look too modern. But things seemed to look wrong to her. She was so confused. She just didn't understand. What she supposed to do. She just kept standing before mirror. She observing her image. Whole time while traveling Rose was just thinking one thing, it was about atmostphere of her office. She imagined many things. Some were wonderful dreams while other were nightmares. She just didn't understand when she reached there. When she saw that office, she felt strange desire of running away. But she knew that she had to go inside. She took deep breathe and went inside. Finally she went inside office. That office was bigger and sophisticated. In office she noticed other people. Their dressing style was not common. Some were dressed in traditional way and some were dressed in modern way. She didn't understand which way to go. She saw one simple and kind faced girl and asked her " I have my appointment letter where do I have to go now? " " H.R.D. department. Don't you know this?" Rose sensed that she did some big bluder. She hated to do such big mistake at beginning only. But she had already done it. Now she had to ask next question. " Where is that office? " That girl looked at her with disgust. Then she pointed. Rose went that way. But she was now more scared than before. She sensed that she didn't know much about job. She wanted to make them all happy. She had to do her job in best way. She wanted her work good at every point with one thought that she must do every thing in perfectly. As soon as she went in her boss's cabin. She noticed one thing that boss was not looking so wrong. When those children were from his other relatives. He started explaining all history of his family. It was really irritating but still she kept smiling. It was so hard for her to understand those things. She started feeling only if she could change her seat. When she sit there she expected the girl on other side would talk with her. She was slowly looking at clock. She started hoping that one thing that lunch hour should stop quickly. In her mind she made one note next day she would not sit next to that man. Finally she went to her chair and started doing her work. She began to work in office. She started doing every thing just as per boss's instructions. She wanted to do it properly to please her boss. She started working hard. Even when they started going home, still she decided one thing that she would work. Then finally her boss told her that she must go home. Boss sensed one thing that she was doing too much work. Boss" Now go home." He ordered it in such a way that she nodded and went away. When she reached home, still on every point she just kept thinking about her office and her boss. She sensed one thing that she got best opportunity and she must not ignore it. She started doing her job with full attention. She started working on days and nights. She was just doing one thing. That was following every word of her Boss and others in office. She wanted to sit on different seat next day. But she was forced to sit next to same man. She didn't want to but still she just kept sitting next to him. They all were scared. But Rose felt as if her breathe was taken away from her. She just felt like a boat without anchor. When they planned send off, she took active participation. But she was one who cried most when he went away. Before going away he came near her and said to her " You are very close to me so I just suggest you that you must keep faith on god." She nodded. She sensed that god was him only. She started believing in god since her childhood. She belonged to family who had full faith in god. She was glad her boss showed her same way. Then he gave her small statue of saraswati. She looked at her with full devotion. She knew that she would keep that goddess on chair. Then she would work in best way. She sensed one thing from inside that she had found her faith. She kept that goddess with full faith. She just want to understand which way was best for her. She kept looking at that goddess. She felt so much confidence from inside. She just wanted to work her best and she knew that this goddess would help her. Next day when she came in office first she bowed before goddess. Then she got news that their new boss would come little late until then that man who used to sit near her on lunch hour took charge. She was so happy. She felt as if that goddess helped her so for few days every thing was just perfect for her. But then one day her new boss came who was full of confidence like last boss. But he was just getting also arrogant and harsh. He knew just how did he wanted things in his office. Rose who was doing every thing with her faith was so confused. As soon as her new boss came, he asked her first question " Why your name is Rose?" "My parents like it." Then he started laughing. New boss "So funny while keeping your name they kept it in English style and then told you those nonsense value of god and goddess." Rose was so shocked to hear such terms about god. It was shocking for her. Other collegues also hated it. Then many answers were given to boss. But boss just kept smiling as if he was most superior than them. Rose felt so strange. She felt as if some one took target from her heart. Rose was so confused. On every day her new boss was taunting her regarding her faith. She was feeling so upset. She had to take away that statue of goddess. That day was her worst day. When she took that statue and kept it in her locker, first time she heard that voice. It was voice of some person who told her that she was cursed now. Since she was so scared. She heard that voice clearly and then worst things were started. When she was walking on road, she suddenly slipped on some thing and fell on road. She was hurt. Every one helped her. She went to house. Her Mom came out running. She took care of Rose. Finally one day her new boss warned her that if she kept acting in this strange way she would be fired. She wanted to act normal but those voices were not letting her act normal. She sensed that she was chatting to herself now. She went to chair and started crying. Then that man who used to sit with her in lunch hour came near her. She sensed that now a days that man was not speaking that much. She felt that he must be upset with her. But now that man sat near her and said slowly "Can I suggest you some thing?" She looked at him with confused expression.Then he pushed one card towards her "Go to this doctor. He will cure you. He had cured me. You can see now much normal I look now a days." She had no doubt about it. She looked at that card. It was card of psychiatrist. She was so nervous. She was not mad. Then she suddenly felt doubt about it. For few days she tried to control those voices but she couldn't. Finally one day she went there. She slowly went in that clinic. It seemed quiet normal. She decided to go inside. Receptionist gave her nice smile. She went ahead and told her regarding her problem. She told her to sit down. Rose sat there while watching other patient. One of the patient even started talking with her. That patient was cured and came to thank psychiatrist. She had passed her examination which she was failing due to continuous stress. When psychiatrist came out that patient went inside. Rose heard pleasant voices. She suddenly felt one hope that one day her voice would be pleased same way. She just wanted to try. Then she went inside. Slowly she started telling her problem to psychiatrist who heard it all. Then psychiatrist told her to relax. Boss "Such things happen when you are in too much stress. You are unknowingly putting all your stress on shoulder of god and until now it was working perfectly for you. You were trying and just never think if you will get rewards due to faith on god and of course on your old boss. But when new boss came, he just wanted to change it all. He had managed to shatter your faith and he never offered you any help with lead to too much stress. When this happen you will develop anxiety and fear which would lead to such strange reaction and effect on mind. Don't you worry. Slowly we will handle it. You just required little bit therapy and step by step you will be fine." Rose smiled. At beginning she just felt relaxed by therapy and treatment. Then slowly she understood how to deal with those voices. Then slowly she got over them. It was most relaxed day for her when she didn't heard them. She decided that she would keep that statue since it was her choice and not choice of her boss. What she like to keep, eat or dress was her choice so she decided to keep her faith and ignore taunts of her boss. After all no one have right to decide for us our those basic rights not even our boss.
