Supriya started looking around as soon as she landed from bus.Finally her studies were over and she returned to her home.She always wanted to stay with her family.But her mother insisted that she should go into hostel for proper education.Whenever she thought about that day when her mother put her in hostel.Her Mom wanted best education for her which she never able to do in that village.Her mom was an intelligent lady.Supriya could see her father's face.He was just about to cry.But her Mom insisted.She still remembered those days.When her Mom was always smart and hard working.Everyone from village used to give her special respect.She was principle of only college in that area so she was a best pillar for village.From childhood Supriya saw a long line of people who waited outside for her Mom's advice.While she sat inside house with her father.Her father had a small shop in corner where he used to sell many things.Supriya didn't proper remember all list of those products.But it was a long list.Her father used go in town to get those things in truck then used to sell them in village on very limited price.Supriya used to sit with him in shop whole day.Her father used to take care of her after all her Mom was so busy whole day.She remembered those days when she used to slowly watch that how did her Mom talk with people.Then even many times when maid was not there.Her Mom used to call her father to get a tea for her.Her father was gentle and nice by nature and her Mom was dominating lady.This was perfect combination and her family was perfect.
Supriya started searching for her father.Then she suddenly saw her father was coming towards her.He was little tense.Supriya"What happen?Why are you so upset?""I just don't know properly but few minutes ago.Your Mom phoned me to tell that she will not join us on dinner.Something is wrong at college.""What happen?""I just don't know.I wish she told me properly."Supriya wanted to ask him further but she knew that her father never able to tell her anything after all.He never able to say anything against Mom.Some times Supriya hated to remember the treatment her Mom always given to her father.She remembered clearly how her Mom used to scream on her father whenever he did some mistake like she really remembered that incidence.When her Mom phoned them and told them that they must come to one party.Her father made all efforts to get ready in perfect way.But it was a perfect way for villagers not for city man.Her father even put best dress on her and did her ponytail. It all looked good until they reached there and when they reached there.Their dressing looked totally wrong.Mom was so angry that she forced her father and Supriya to returned home immediately.That day her father once again cooked food for her.Mostly maid used to do that job but since they were going to party.They had given maid a day off so her father did everything and when her Mom finally came home after party.She was screaming on her father.Supriya could not hear those words.But they were big insults because she saw her father crying in corner.She wanted to go near him.But she was scared that her Mom would be more angry.Next day she went to hostel because her Mom didn't want her father's influence on her.Supriya always loved her father and she adored him even after learning modern ways.But she no longer understood her Mom's attitudes.She didn't want her father to get more insulted so she just went with him.
When she saw that college,she was shocked.That building was big and improved.Supriya"Who invested money on this?"Her father smiled.Her father"Do you remember that Uncle for whose son we went to get medicine?"Of course how could Supriya forget that her father traveled long way to just get medicine for that poor man who did even had money to buy one.Her Mom insulted her father in every possible way when he came back.It was worst day.Supriya"Of course I remember.""That son was big actor now so he donated money for college."Supriya hugged her father.She was so happy.Finally her father managed to prove himself before every one.She could not imagine how happy her Mom must be.Her Mom always wanted same thing.Then she saw that her Mom was coming out of college.She looked very scared as if she saw a ghost.Then she suddenly stopped before her father.Supriya noticed that her Mom was avoiding looking at her father.Her Mom"That boy has been absent today."Her father"Come on.You just hold his hand.It can't harm him."Suddenly her Mom panicked.Her Mom"I don't just hold it.It was a strong hold.You just don't understand.His hand can be broken.""Now take it easy.He was going to slap other person so you have stop it.You did a right thing.No need to feel guilty."Her Mom suddenly came on verge of tears."I don't have right to hurt a student.""Come on.I am sure.He just want to avoid one day so other people will forget the incidence.I am sure.""How can you be so sure?"Supriya"You are talking about whom."Suddenly her Mom looked at her in such a shock as if she didn't know Supriya was standing there.May be she was engrossed in her problem so much that she forgot to notice her?She gave Supriya a forced smile and said"No need to tense yourself.This small matter.I think your father is right.Any way I am taking a day off."Her father looked shock.Her father"For such small incidence you can't take day off."Her Mom looked at her father with anger.Then once again she started looking at her feet as if she was ashamed.Supriya never saw her Mom acting this way.Her Mom was always confident lady.She decided to talk to her father about this at night.Her Mom"I have taken vacation for Supriya.It was already decided."Her father smiled."So sorry.I forgot."Supriya was now excepting a big lecture or taunt from her Mom.But her Mom just smiled and said"It's alright."Then they went home.
When they went home,her Mom was upset.Supriya never saw her Mom like this.Supriya"What happen?"Her father went inside to arrange their food so it was still there!Their common tradition.Always her father cooked food and her Mom would relax outside.But then suddenly her Mom started talking"I want to cook food.But I am so scared.If I poison you by mistake."Supriya started laughing.Supriya"Mom you are not that bad cook.""No honey.I am cursed if I do something.Then it will surly hurt you.You know I am cursed.Now it happened just yesterday a student called Gopi was hurting other student.I hold his hand and bone of his hands were broken."Supriya was shocked to hear this.She never expected such strength from her Mom.She was about to ask further question.When her Mom's phone rang.Mom"Ohh!That boy is fine.You told his parents.Thanks."Then Mom literally hugged Supriya in happiness."Supriya that boy is fine.I didn't hurt him.""But Mom I don't understand how can you hurt him just with your hand.""Don't you remember I told you that I am cursed.I will go and tell your father about it."Then she went inside and began to tell everything.But Supriya noticed that her father was also shocked.But they didn't discuss anything.Supriya enjoyed rest of that day with parents.But she could feeling something strange in her Mom.That night Supriya decided to discuss with her father about it when her Mom was not around.
But during dinner Supriya received shock of life.Her Mom announced that she wanted to quit the job.Her father"Come on college needs you.""They can get a lot better teacher than me."Supriya"No Mom that is not true.It is not that easy.Mom you are best teacher.Any way why do you want to quit?I thought that you love teaching.""Of course I love it.But I don't what to hurt anyone."Supriya looked at her father.Supriya"Who got hurt?"Her father"No one until now.But your Mom is convinced that she will hurt someone one day.""But why?""I don't know.""Mom why do you think like that?"Her Mom suddenly began to scream"I know that.I am sure.I will not wait until some one got hurt.I am quit my job."After saying this her Mom went into her room and started crying.Her father went behind her.But she was not ready to listen anything said by him.Supriya found it all so strange.Next day she decided to go in college with her Mom because she wanted to understand.What was wrong in that college.Her father had the same thought on that moment.Her father"Okay.But I will come with you.I want to discuss this."Her Mom nodded so next morning they all got ready.At first her parents were not ready to take her but finally they agreed.When they went to college,Supriya looked around.Everything looked fine.Every student was showing full respect to her Mom.Finally they went to office of vice principal.
When they told vice principle about Mom's decision,she was shocked.Vice principal"But why?"Mom started repeating all her fears instead of getting shocked.Vice principal started trying to convince Mom.Finally she said"Why don't you go to psychiatrist?""I am not mad.""But you are getting scared unnecessarily. Madam college need you.Please try to understand."Mom angrily went out of room.That day Mom was very upset.No one said anything.Finally Mom asked"Do you agree with that vice principle?"Once again no one said anything.Finally Mom forced them to answer.First her father nodded.Then Supriya spoke"Mom you are really acting strange.Please try to understand do this for us."For some time her Mom kept quiet.Then she finally nodded.They took her to psychiatrist,Psychiatrist treated her Mom.Slowly Mom was cured.But they never told the cause.When her Mom was completely fine,one day Supriya asked her Mom about cause.Finally her Mom told her"First promise me.You never tell this to your father."Supriya promised.Mom"This is happen due to Obsessive-compulsive reactions of guilt and fear of punishment.Actually when I got married to your father.I don't want to marry him.I wanted more educated and handsome man.But your grandpa told me to marry your father and I was so scared that I agreed.I always hated your father for that compulsion so I treated him badly.But slowly I saw that how good husband he was and he is.I started feeling guilty.Special after that fund he arranged by just his good nature.I began to think that I must be punished for my bad behaviour.""That's why you think that you will hurt some one."Supriya was so shock.Supriya"Mom mind is so strange."Her Mom smiled and nodded.
