The crime
Suddenly during that peaceful sleep Sheela felt same restlessness.She just didn't understand that what was wrong with her.She was doing fine.She turned and looked at her husband.He was sleeping peacefully on bed.Of course he would sleep peacefully.He didn't know that he made a mistake of life by marrying her.But Sheela was so scared that she would do something wrong and then her husband Mayank would see everything.She knew that her problem was solved.But she was not fine now.She told herself that she must ignore it all.She didn't want to look behind because she could clearly feel that she would see something wrong there.She didn't want to scream when she would see her dead dad.Then she remembered that she was fine now.She didn't do anything wrong now.But then she thought again that she had not done anything wrong.But still she suddenly felt tense.But she once again told herself that she was just fine.Then she noticed that Mayank was upset in his sleep.She felt so scared that she just ran into bathroom.She didn't want to hurt Mayank. But then she thought once again that she was not hurting him.Even if he woke up then it would not going to kill him.She started smiling on her own stupidity but then suddenly she looked at herself in mirror.She left one question from her heart that was there something wrong inside her face on that moment so she started looking at that face on that moment.She was so lost in her thought that she didn't understand when Mayank entered there.Mayank"What happen?Did something happen to your face?"Sheela smiled."Nothing.I was just confused.""About what?"She looked more confused when she began to answer.Sheela"I think...I thought..Maybe I was..I think I was hitting you with something..""What?""I mean with my this bangle."Then she showed her ornaments which were looking so beautiful in her hands but they were so sharp in their design.That it was easily possible that they could hurt anyone.Mayank smiled to see his wife's sensitive nature and said"I am just fine.Let go to sleep.""Maybe I should remove all ornaments?"Mayank looked confused.Mayank"Do as you wish but carefully lock them in cupboard?We didn't want to lose them."Sheela nodded happily and they started removing it.Then Sheela went to sleep.She felt little bit relaxed.She thought that she might be really tense about ornaments.
Next day when Sheela woke up she was so tense regarding everything.It was not first time she was going to cook something in kitchen.She started getting every thing ready when her mother-in-law entered inside kitchen and she felt scared.She didn't want to do anything wrong before her mother-in-law until today she was not allowed to enter in kitchen because at beginning it was her mother-in-law then they immediately went to honeymoon.She never dared to cook anything inside in that house because she was scared of her mother-in-law.Her mother-in-law was always strict to her.She told her that she would teach her each and every thing.But when she said it,it was said in such way that Sheela knew that her mother-in-law was not interested in teaching her lovingly.She just wanted to Sheela to knew all even before she was forced to teach her.But since Sheela didn't know and her son Mayank choose her.Her mother-in-law agreed to teach her.Sheela could see it clearly that she didn't want so she tried to learn everything from her Mom.Everything was perfect inside her mind until she entered in that kitchen.Everything seemed so confused.Her thoughts were confused.She was tense.She didn't want her mother-in-law to suspect anything so she gave smile and started cutting vegetables.Suddenly her mother-in-law told her that she was doing it in wrong way.She showed her method of that house. Sheela was more confused now.Whatever she tried to do in that kitchen everything seemed wrong.There was different style of each thing.She was so nervous now.She was sure that her mother-in-law was upset with her.She could see it on her face. She didn't want to teach her anything.But Sheela was doing it all totally wrong because she was no longer sure about anything.Then suddenly her mother-in-law was called outside by someone.She was so happy.She thought that she could control her feelings now.But then she thought that she was doing it all wrong.She suddenly felt that she was having bad feeling about all.She felt that she didn't like her mother-in-law.Then she once again did what she was told.She started concentrating on her good thoughts accepting them.She was not wrong in anything or anyway.
Then slowly Sheela opened eyes and she noticed that she had managed to cook most of lunch in proper way.She couldn't believe it that her meditation worked so well.She looked at food.It looked perfect then she started arranging it on table.Her mother-in-law who was called because she had phone call was chatting whole time.Then when she arranged food on table.Her father-in-law and her sister-in-law came.They sat there waiting for her mother-in-law to come.When it took her long,they started eating food.At beginning they didn't say anything but after some time her sister-in-law spoke"Don't you think Dad that this vegetable is too sweet.I mean.I feel that it needed little spicy.""Come on.Don't complaint.Your new sister-in-law is trying to cook.Of course food is not that proper but she will learn from your mother.""But Dad this is all wrong. Why don't this vegetable have their usual colour?"Sheela was so nervous.They all were taunting her food.She had tasted it but it looked perfect to her.Then her mother-in-law joined them."This is not with proper colour because it is overcooked.I was busy with phone.Don't worry you will get tasty food next time.She is new.."Then she gave Sheela a superior look.Sheela hated this.She never expected this from her in-laws.She knew that they were strict but this was too much.She felt so sad whole time they were just showing her mistakes.On that moment first time she felt that if she killed them all poison them.How nice it would be to live just with her husband.Then she felt so scared.She was no more use that she did that food properly.She watched them carefully.She suddenly felt that she must had put poison in it.She just ran inside.She didn't even turn to observe them.She just called her Mom,her best friend.Sheetal "Mom..""What is it?Sheela why are you looking so upset just relax.Don't you remember?What you were told?You suppose to be relax then only you can do things properly."Sheela just kept quiet for some moment then told"Mom I feel that I put poison in food of my in-laws.""I just don't understand."Then Sheela told every thing to Mom.Her Mom did not say anything.She just sounded panic when she said that she was coming there.After that Sheela shut herself in her room.
After some time Sheela heard knocking on door.Her sister-in-law"Sheela your Mom is there.Come out."After saying this her sister-in-law went away. Sheela was so sure now that she had not poisoned her sister-in-law.She ran out her Mom was talking to her mother-in-law who was looked as upset as she looked every time she saw her Mom.Her mother-in-law never liked her Mom because she didn't like any gift.She get from her Mom.Her Mom did her best but her mother-in-law always wanted more.She could have managed to get lot of money from her parents but her husband Mayank stopped her.Mayank didn't like the way his mother treated his wife or her parents.Mayank was perfect husband.Sheela felt tears running from her eyes when she remembered Mayank. Just on that moment her mother saw her and forced her to come inside her room.Sheela could feel that her mother-in-law hated that attitude but still she did it.When they went inside room,her mother"What's wrong with you?You never acted this way.""Mom I feel so strange way.I feel that I can do something wrong.""What wrong?""I feel that I will hurt Mayank or his parents.Mom I am so scared.""Now will you relax?Nothing is wrong just act normal everything is just fine.You are upset because your in-laws are not appreciating you.Come on it's common.Your husband loves you and he is nice man so that is enough.""I don't know Mom."Then her mom asked her about her trip.Sheela suddenly felt happy and then they spend many hours in chatting.But after sometime her Mom looked at watch and said she had to go.Sheela nodded.But Sheela felt so upset.She was sure that by marrying she made mistake.Mayank and his family deserved better than her.When Sheela came out,they immediately started taunting.Her mother-in-law"World is so changed.In our days bride's parents hardly use to come home until they were asked to come.Now a days it seem that bride's mother just ran to her home on next day.As if they had thrown their daughter in cage with lion."After that her sister-in-law started laughing.Her father-in-law"Why are you taking personally.If she didn't trust us,it was her mistake not our.She must have confirm it by now."Then he turned towards Sheela."I hope your mother is not going to come daily."Sheela turned her face negatively.Her father-in-law"Good."Her mother-in-law"Now at least I am sure that I am not force to make tea for guest daily."Sheela was so shocked.Her mother-in-law didn't went inside kitchen,she went inside kitchen and she prepared tea and snacks with help of her mother.Now this woman was claiming that she had prepared tea.She wanted to scream but her voice didn't come out.She suddenly began to feel that she might take that costly show piece and broke it.She just felt so scared that she ran out of that room.
Then most of the time she was inside her room.She was so scared that she would do something wrong.She felt as if she could give too hot water to her sister-in-law which would burn her face.After all when she met her sister-in-law,her sister-in-law counted all mistakes of her face and body.Now she was pointing it to Sheela on each day so on every point inside life Sheela hated her face.She didn't want to burn it.Then she looked at watch,she felt that she must go in kitchen.Then she remembered that case of poisoning.She didn't want to go in there.She started crying.She knew this marriage was one big mistake.But still she once again remembered those advises and she gathered courage.Then she went inside kitchen.Her mother-in-law was stood there.Her mother-in-law"This is too much are you not coming in kitchen.Go and cook food."She nodded and started cooking it.But she was so scared to cook.That night once again she cooked food and once again she was criticized.Her mother-in-law"I was telling to Mayank that he should marry a woman who have job at least she would bring some money."Her father-in-law"Stop telling this to me.Tell your son."After that her father-in-law stood away from dinner and said"I just don't understand.Why don't you teach her.""I did my best.Her parents are worth nothing.Look at limited thing they gave to their daughter.""I can understand that they are poor but they could have at least taught her cooking."Sheela was so upset.She could clearly see that they didn't want her.Slowly she thought that she could ignore them after all Mayank loved her and that was enough.That when Mayank came her mother-in-law started complaining about her.He saw anger in Mayank's eyes.He came in room.He started screaming on her"Why did you your mother like this?Sheela this is wrong you can't insult my family like this.."Then he continued screaming on her.But she kept her mouth shut.After that slowly she began to feel that feeling of doing some thing wrong began to posses her.At first she once used to check food but now she did it again and again.She didn't even take anything hot near her sister-in-law.One day when her sister-in-law came near her with her hot cup of tea and started screaming that why didn't she bring it.Sheela felt that she must confess"I think I have burned your face.""What?!!"Her sister-in-law started calling her parents.They both came and screamed on Sheela and abused her.But still Sheela felt relieved that she confessed.When they didn't find any burn.They started screaming on her.Mother-in-law"Is it some kind of joke?Okay.I will tell Mayank.He will teach you."Then when Mayank came,they told him every thing.Once again he screamed on her but she kept quiet.
Slowly it began to become her habit.She started telling her each crime which she feared to do in confession.They all began to feel so confused.Finally one day Mayank took her back to her Mom.Her Mom was so upset to here this all.She told Mayank that she would convinced Sheela that she should not act like that.But Mayank told her that he was not interested any more.Sheela's mother was so shocked.She tried to touch his feet but every thing looked useless.Sheela's mother"But I gave you so many things.""Oh those useless things.They all ever damaged or broken.""And her jewellery.""That is inside her bag."After saying that he left.Sheela's mother saw that all jewellery was not in box.Some of the pieces were missing.Any way she didn't want to argue now.She tried so hard to patch up.But Sheela didn't seem interested.Sheela just kept telling crime which were just part of her imagination.She was not even ready to go out of her room.Finally after lot of efforts she took her to psychiatrist.That psychiatrist was her old psychiatrist Sheela's Mom was so angry with him.He told her Sheela was cured.After her father's death,she used to dream about him even use to feel sometimes he was around her.Psychiatrist had treated her for her post traumatic depression and she was perfect for at least ten years.Then her Mom decided that she could marry.Now this had started.Her Mom felt that she was cheated.That Psychiatrist talked with Sheela alone Her Mom"I did mistake by marrying her to someone.Now I am responsible for this mess.She was not cured still you said that..""Wait a minute.She was cured.This problem had arise due to different cause.You selected such greedy people for her that they treated her in worst way so she had new problem because her mind was still not that strong to bear that stress.Any way any girl should have problem if she stays with people like them.Sheela's problem just came outside quickly and don't worry.This is obsessive compulsive disorder.I will cure it.Let tell you what happen.When ever she felt tense,she started feeling guilty so she reach a crime and searching for crime become her obsession.Then she started confessing those crime which didn't done is her compulsion.Let me tell you one thing.She was perfect they started this problem so it was not your mistake.Yes but there is one mistake done by you.That was selecting groom for her who had such demands which can't be fulfilled by you.Their greed is killing your daughter.Just keep her away from them."Sheela's Mom was so shocked to hear this.She never expected that and Sheela was so happy to hear that she was never guilty of any crime.But Sheela's mind was still not convinced but she was sure that Doctor would cure her like last time.But this time she would just stay with mother.This thought made her smile from heart.
