The Camp
Slowly Sarika began to go ahead in those mountains,she was so thrilled by all this.She was hiking for first time and every one from her group had gone ahead.She looked around mountains where full of greenery.She was going with camp for first time.Her parents were against it.But she didn't listen to them this time.She saved all her pocket money and birthday's money for this trip.She just wanted to do it.She was so thrilled.Every thing was nice until she noticed that blood.She saw that it was red.But when she came near it,she was no longer sure if it was blood.She just thought that it could be something else.She didn't want to show it to anyone else because it could be risky.She was first timer and if she told this.She was sure that they would crack a joke on her.She just decided to ignore it.She went ahead.But when she started running.She could clearly feel that she was running too fast which was not necessary.She was sure that it was nothing important.But she just couldn't help.She was too scared to give attention to any one.She didn't want to tell any one about that blood.She was sure that she could avoid it.Finally she reached near others.They were so fast.Finally she came near one fat boy.She was so shocked by his speed.She was so sure that he would be slow like her.She tried hard but she didn't able to match his speed.She was literally breathless.Finally that fat boy looked at her and smiled."What happened?Is it your first time in hiking?"Sarika was so breathless that she just nodded.Then that boy pointed out a rock and said "May be you should sit on that rock?"Sarika didn't want to stop there special after seeing that blood.But she could see kindness on that boy's face so she decided to trust him.She felt that he would at least not laugh on her. Sarika"There is blood there...on that .."Then she started pointing there.That boy looked confused but any way he ran where she was pointing.She ran after him.Then she saw that he was bending.Then that boy turned towards her.That fat boy"It's blood.But don't worry it is just few drops of blood.If some one is hurt,it is just little bit.I will not harm that person much.In fact I think it is animal's blood so just relax and we should go ahead now."Sarika nodded.She was relieved now.After all now she got at least one friend in hiking.That fat boy was walking slowly now and trying to match the speed with her.He was still ahead but he was looking back for her from time to time.He even waited for some times and told others to go ahead so finally that camping didn't turn now that bad. Sarika thought and smiled happily while walking between trees.Tree were still hurting her but she was relieved that some one was going to pay attention if she went missing.
Finally when they reached on top their main guide told them that they must set tent now.Then they were told to select partner.At that moment Sarika saw Kiran.Kiran was in her class in school.They were not on same bench or anything like best friend but Sarika knew Kiran better than any other person.She decided that it would be better if she get Kiran as partner because there were just five girls and number was odd so they needed to keep three girls in one tent or one girl was forced to sleep alone and Sarika didn't want to be that one.Sarika noticed that all three girls were chatting with each other.Just Kiran was sitting alone under the tree so Sarika went near her.Kiran was one of good ranker of school.Her intelligence was admirable and she was not snob.That knowledge was enough for Sarilka to decide that Kiran was her best partner. After all she didn't know any other girl and they were in group so there was no chance for her.Sarika had know that there was no chance of friendship there.When she smiled,Kiran returned her smile.Sarika "Remember me.""Of course."Then they both started talking about their old days.Slowly they started laughing together.Then they choose a tent.They both set it according to their likes.Sarika thought that Kiran was fine.But then she noticed strange picture of some person in unique dress.Sarika "Who is this?"Kiran immediately bowed before that picture.Kiran"This is my god."Sarika was confused until now she saw many gods.But she never saw a god dressed like this.But any way she didn't know all religion so she bowed.Kiran smiled happily.Kiran"I think we will be best companion on this trip."Sarika loved this compliment.Until now no one liked her due to her slowness.First time she was admired.She was on top of world.In her eyes Kiran was her best friend in whole world.Most kind and understanding girl after all what else did any one want.Suddenly Sarika felt terrible warmth towards Kiran.Sarika started feeling Kiran was best looking and nicest girl in whole world.She was never going to believe anything against her.
Then they arranged everything properly.That tent turned into their second home.After that Sarika went out with Kiran.When they were served breakfast,they all supposed to sit together.But suddenly Kiran vanished in tent living Sarika alone.Sarika started feeling lonely again because those three girls were not in mood to talk with her.They were happy while cracking their jokes which were too much for Sarika.Then suddenly that fat boy came near her.Sarika gave him a nice smile.She didn't know his name but still his kindness touched her heart.She liked his company.He sat near her.Sarika felt little shy.When he sat beside her,she felt that he was not that fat and not that bad looking also.He sat near her but not too near her.He kept suitable distance."Hallo my name is Vinay.""Hallo I am Sarika."Then they discussed about their school and college.Then slowly they began chatting with each other when suddenly Vinay asked "Where is your room partner?""Kiran?I just don't know.She went away and left me alone."Vinay looked angrily in all directions.Vinay"She should not leave you alone like this.You are new and you are her responsibility.""responsibility?""Yes.When some new member come on camp.We,seniors suppose to take their responsibility.It is unwritten rule of this camp.Don't you see there are lot of kids in this camp?"Sarika nodded."This number is increased because not just guide but we,campers who had come to this camp before took responsibility of new comer.The new comer will get encouraged and they began to like this camp and then they will come again and again.""Ohh?!"Sarika was disappointed when she knew Vinay was giving her attention just because she was new.She assumed many wrong things.She felt that she was stupid.She just wished that Kiran appeared there from somewhere and saved her from embarrassment.But that didn't happen and Vinay continued talking "Actually at beginning Kiran was very sincere about this camp.She used to do many thing then suddenly she got some mad idea in her brain.She quit.Her parent's religion and started her religion.""What her religion?""Ya.Don't you see her own god?"Now Sarika understood that why that god was unknown to her."My god!!But who is in her religion?""She is."After saying this they both started laughing.They just couldn't help it.After all creating own religion and following it was too much for Sarika.But they were laughing so loudly that slowly they got attention of every person.Then every one started asking question them about their joke.Vinay reacted a joke instantly and told it.Then every one gathered around Vinay and Vinay started telling them funny jokes.Then even others started telling jokes and stories.Some even came forward with ghost stories.
Then finally Kiran came and Sarika quickly went away with her.She didn't want her name to be attach to Vinay.After breakfast they all were given tasks like searching things like water and food.Each person was given one partner and Kiran was Sarika's partner.They were enjoying everything but even after going to some distance they didn't find any food.Slowly Kiran started getting upset and Sarika got tense.She thought that if they didn't get food.They might be starve so she wondered on one side and Kiran went to other side.Sarika just walked little bit distance when she noticed that she was getting confuse.She returned back to the spot from where they started.She went near it and she was shocked.There was blood there.Sarika started screaming Kiran's name.She was sure that she was injured.When she started running,she once again bumped on Vinay who was with his partner.Vinay asked with irritation"What's wrong?"Sarika was nervous now.But she had to say"There is blood once again.""Show me."Then once again they all ran to the spot with Vinay's partner in tow.When they reached on spot.Vinay's partner Sudhir"My god!!Blood??""These are just drops.""Just drops!!It is blood.Some one must be injured."After hearing Sudhir Surika got encourage.She told him last incidence.Now Vinay was more irritated"Come on.It is nothing.You are just encouraging gossips of wrong sort."Sarika"I am encouraging.I saw it twice so I just pointed out and my partner Kiran is missing so I am nervous.Are you telling me this is all my mistake?"Suddenly Sarika started to hate Vinay more and more."No..no.I am not blaming you.I was just suggesting to ignore it."Sudhir"Ignore blood.Are you mad or some thing?I am going to tell this to our guide."Sarika nodded in agreement and they both started going to guide.But Vinay stopped them.Vinay"I think it is blood of animal.I know it is blood but if it is animal's blood then we will be a laughing stock before all.Try to understand."After that Vinay convinced them for long time and finally they agreed and quit the idea of telling it to guide.But Sarika began to hate Vinay from heart.She no longer trusted him in any way.She wanted to go to guide but Vinay convinced Sudhir against it so she had no option.She had to keep quiet about it.She began to think that some thing was wrong with Vinay.
Then they all searched for Kiran for long time.But they didn't find her.Finally Vinay said"Let search for food first.""But Kiran..""She must be in guide's tent."Suddenly Sudhir whistled."Oh My god."Vinay looked irritated."Nothing is like that.She just went to him and started telling him about her religion and trust me.They were never alone.Guide always kept some one with him when ever she entered in this tent.""Now that is strange.."Sarika was upset now by this gossiping.Sarika"But I know her in school.She was nice girl...""That was in old time.She is different now.On each camp she just create some problem.May be on next camp.I will convince guide to reject her."Now Vinay was just talking to himself that other two people.He was so upset.Finally they got some food.When they returned Sarika was very disappointed to see Kiran in guide's tent.She wanted to discuss the blood with her but then she decided against it.Then she went into her tent.She was so shocked once again there was blood in tent.It couldn't be animal's.Now she screamed loudly.Whole group gathered in tent.They all were so shocked to see that blood.It was just few drops but no one was ready to ignore it now.Then guide told every one to go back to their work.Sarika was so upset that guide was not doing anything about it.Then after some time guide called Sarika in his tent.There were few members there.Guide "Sarika every time you see that blood.Why are you doing this?""Doing what?""Injuring your self or how else could you bring that blood?""I never did anything of that kind.I am not even hurt except those scratches from trees."Then guide told other girl to search Sarika for wound.Vinay"Sir I don't she is doing it.Please try to understand there is no sign of pain on her face every time."Sarika was on verge of tears but when Vinay took her side.She got encouraged. Sarika"I just have keen eyes that all.I don't have any problem to do such thing."Vinay"Sir just think about it.She is just a new comer.She couldn't hold a grouch against camp.Why did she try to spoil it?She even kept quiet at beginning.You have to understand this was too much for her now."Sarika"He is right Sir.Blood was in my tent."Guide suddenly looked anxious."Ohh my god.Blood was in her tent.Kiran was also there where is Kiran."Then they all noticed that Kiran was not there so they started searching for Kiran.Finally they found her under a tree.There were lot of cut on her forearms.There was lot of blood.It was horrible site.Then they all called ambulance.But they had carry her for some distance on stretcher made by them.Every one in group started gossiping now about Kiran.Some said that she did suicide because guide rejected her love.Some said that it was some one in school.Some even claimed that she was pregnant.Every thing was turning into horrible mess.When they finally reached to hospital,all parents were present there.They all wanted to know the reason of Kiran's suicide attempt.Finally Doctor came out and told them that she was out of danger.Police were called every one was questioned.It was horrible day for them all.Then Sarika was crying now.It was all terrible for her.She just wished that she was never went to that camp.Vinay was always supportive to her.But after some time Kiran's parents came with psychiatrist.Then Psychiatrist told to Police"Kiran is my patient and she is suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder.In this some times patient act like that.She cut herself which razor blade when she felt anxiety.She thinks that it reduce it.But she never cut herself so deeply until now.This time she must have made some mistake."Guide"Mistake?? She spoiled my whole camp and after that no one will come on my camp.My business is destroyed just because of you.You should have kept her at home."Kiran's mother started crying then slowly she began talking"You expect us to lock our daughter in house.My god.We can't do it.She was coming to camp since childhood.She thought that you are her friend.When she used to help you in handling tour.You always said that she is like your sister.Now since crisis start you want her to be locked in room like prisoner."Guide "You don't understand this destroyed my source of earning and it could have killed your daughter."Sarika was hearing argument from both the sides.Both looked right and fair.Then she felt a hand on shoulder.Vinay was standing there.He pointed towards her parents.Vinay "They are waiting for you."She nodded and went there.She sat inside her car.Whole time she was seeing face of Kiran before cutting herself and after cutting herself.She was not sure that what was right way to handle it.But she was sure that it was just horrible thing for a person to suffer like this.She looked at her forearms and started crying loudly.
