Marks of heart
Every time when ever she looked out of that glass.She saw city around her.Everything seemed so happy and fresh.But Kira was not part of them.She was always alone standing on the corner of joy.She never able to became part of that crowd because she was shy and not enough intelligent to get a decent job.She wanted to prove herself.But she never managed to do any thing that would show her abilities.Now even her children were started calling her stupid.Kira was upset from her heart.First time even coming away on vacation was not helping her.She was sitting on seat at looking out of window in hope that something would make her happy.But nothing was doing the trick.Then she suddenly began to have strange feeling like some thing sinister was around her.She knew that it was just her imagination.Her husband Rajan was sleeping next to her on seat.He didn't like to be disturbed in his sleep.She was feeling so lonely.She looked around.She stood to clearly see all passengers.But her kids who were sitting on next seat of bus screamed on her.Little Sunny"Mom what are you doing?Standing like this while bus is in such a fast speed is insane."Pooja"Now there is no need to get shocked.Mom always acts just stupidly."Then they both started laughing on her.She just never understood that when her kids got so older than they began to insult their Mom for sake of fun.If Rajan was awake.What did he say?He would scream on them or just join them.She didn't know.Now a days Rajan had become so unpredictable that he felt never sure about his cooperation.Kira didn't want herself to be insulted so she began to sit.At that moment she felt that some thing touched her.She looked out of window and saw a banyan tree was near her.It's leaves were moving with air.Suddenly one leaf came near her and stuck to her window.She was so scared by it.Then there was a little gap between window panel and leaf came inside through it.That leaf fell on her laps and she felt that evil touched her.She screamed loudly.
Rajan was woke up due to her screams.Rajan was shocked by seeing her like that she was little bit stupid.But she never got scared like this.She was just screaming and screaming.All the passengers of the bus came near their seat.Rajan"What happened?". But instead of answering Kira just started pointing at her feet.Kira"I just can't move my feet."Rajan smiled.He was again irritated by her stupidity."We are all sitting for many hours so blood circulation of your feet must have stopped.Try hard.You can move them.""No.I just can."A woman"May be you shall try to walk between to seats?My husband will help you.If your husband will not mind."Her husband was looked like some weightlifter.But Rajan didn't like idea of his touching to Kira.Many times people used such opportunities for wrong purposes.But situation was complicated and Rajan was not so strong due to his back problems that he could pick up Kira and her husband seemed like gentleman.Before Rajan could say anything,Conductor came there.Conductor"What's the problem?""That woman can't walk.""After sitting for so long many people can't walk.""But she is not feeling well."Conductor went near Kira and touched her feet."Sister do you feel it?""No."Then he told someone to give him a bag.Then he put it on her lap."Now you surly feel it?""No."Now Rajan got scared.He pushed conductor away.he knew that he was acting wrong.Still he hit on Kira's leg with full force.All the audience around her screamed or protested.Kira didn't felt a thing.Conductor screamed loudly and told driver to stop the bus.The driver got irritated.Driver"What is it?We are suppose to reach on time.I don't want to receive firing." While saying this he came near the crowd and pushed crowd back.When he came ahead Conductor was telling weightlifter to help Kira to stand.He tried but he had to lift her like a weight.Weightlifter"Her legs are not responding.They seemed as if they are dead."Rajan"Don't talk nonsense."Rajan screamed on weightlifter. But that weightlifter said quietly"If screaming on me help you.You can scream.But I think something is seriously wrong with her.I think we shall have to stop in some hospital."Driver"But that means we have to go by other route.It will take one hour.Half for going and half for returning.""Oh!My god!!It will waste too much time."Rajan"My wife is sick and you are talking about time.Don't you have any humanity in your heart."Weightlifter"He is right.May she is having paralysis stroke?If she is immediately admitted in hospital,she can be fine."Conductor"Come on.Do you want to keep this poor woman's curse on your conscious? "Another passenger"He is right.If she was your daughter or sister,did you even act this way?"That sentence touched many hearts and finally they changed their route.By now Pooja and Sunny both were on verge of tears.An elderly woman was trying to console them.Kira was beating her leg like a mad person.Finally Rajan stopped her.Rajan"May be you don't feel it but still you are hurting it?"There was tears in Rajan's eyes.Kira wanted her leg to be moved.She didn't want to be handicapped and she was sure about it.
Finally that bus stopped to an unknown hospital.Kira and Rajan both were scared to see it.It was a private hospital in some village.It didn't looked like a good hospital with best staff.Even kids noticed this.Pooja"Dad this hospital is not as good as the hospital near our house."Sunny"Didi is right.Look at it's walls.They are so dirty.""Mom will get more sick by staying here."Rajan was very upset about these turn of events and after hearing kids advices.He got more angry.Rajan"Shut up both of you.Your Mom need a good doctor not a posh hospital.If they said that it is good hospital.Then it must be good one."Elderly woman"Screaming on them will not help and they are saying the truth."Driver"But it is only hospital on our route.Next one will be too inside the city and I can't take my bus there."Conductor"Ya.We have bended enough rules for her.Now let get her admitted and finish this business.""How can you act like this?"Rajan"It's okay.Thanks for your concern.But beggars are not choosers."Then Rajan went in that hospital.He clearly didn't like that unknown hospital.It's atmosphere was so strange.It was so quiet that it resembled to horror films.But when conductor one ward boy and one nurse came running.Conductor pointed out at Kira and told them that she could not walk.They all started calling doctor finally a old doctor came out.He ordered them to bring wheelchair.They brought that wheelchair.But that ward boy was too weak to bring down Kira alone and that nurse had too much weight to manage to do such thing.Finally that weightlifter once again did favour for them and put Kira on that wheelchair.Then other people took out their luggage.Then Pooja and Sunny told to sit near it and bus went away.After saying good bye to them.All passengers wanted to get rid of them because they also hated that hospital because until coming there they all were very cooperative.Just that elder woman asked Rajan that could he able to manage it.When Rajan told her not to worry.While going away she was looking at them with concern.But since there was no option.She went away with other passengers and bus.After all you could not stay with unknown person.She didn't even known them properly.She met them few hours ago.So she went away while waving at them with sad expressions.Finally Rajan had forced Kira's wheelchair inside.On his shoulders he was carrying at least three bags and two scared kids were walking with his.
When they went inside doctor was not there.Nurse told them to wait because doctor was already gone for dinner to his house.Since there was no serious patient.He was not planning to come back until tomorrow morning so Nurse phoned him.When Rajan asked when he would come.She just told them to wait.In that lonely corridor of hospital they all were sitting alone.They sat on the bench while Kira was sitting on wheel chair.Pooja"Dad I am hungry."Sunny"I also want my dinner."Kira"May be you shall have to take them out for dinner?I don't think food of this hospital is going to be anything eatable.""But I can't leave you alone like this."After hearing his concern Kira suddenly started feeling better.She suddenly thought that she might like to be sick forever.Then she brushed away that thought.She didn't want to sit in that wheelchair forever.But then that Nurse came there.Nurse"Don't worry.I will sit here.You have to take children out for food.You can't get any dinner here now.I think may be you shall have to bring some food for your wife also."Rajan nodded."Kira bye and take care."Then Pooja and Sunny gave her a big hug.Pooja"Mom you are so brave."First time her daughter appreciated her.She just loved that sickness.Then once again she stopped that wrong thinking.She didn't want to sit on this wheelchair permanently.She wanted to go here and there.She didn't need these kind of things to prove her bravery and impress her daughter.She looked around that hospital was so depressing.If she was in some city hospital with Air Conditioner.It was okay for her.But sitting here without Air Conditioner and without Doctor.Then she got scared if her diseases increased because of delay by Doctor.Then she suddenly felt sound.She looked around then she was started feeling something was coming near her.She was so upset.She turned around to look at that Nurse.Then she saw that Nurse was snoring.Then she felt more upset.That Nurse who told her husband that she would take care of her was snoring.If something happened to her at that moment who would take care of her.Her heart started beating in strange way.She began to think that she might have heart attack.Then she suddenly noticed a man came running towards her.That man"Just relax.Nurse.."He screamed loudly on Nurse.She woke up immediately.Nurse"Doctor..""You slept when I ordered you to pay attention on her.""Sorry Doctor.""Get examination room ready."Kira didn't want to go inside with doctor without Rajan's permission.He wanted his suggestion.Kira"My husband is not there.""Don't worry.He will come." Then she closed her eyes.
Kira felt very strange when doctor was examining her.He was checking her very carefully.Then Rajan came inside.She felt his presence by his perfume.Then she felt her kids were standing on his sides.She could easily imagine their faces.She was happy to feel that they care for her.Finally after long time Rajan asked Doctor"Doctor what's wrong with my wife?""I don't know.""What are you saying?Are you Doctor or you have purchased your degree for some where?""Mr.you are insulting me.I am telling you the truth.She is perfectly fine in every way."Kira was angry now.She also began screaming.Kira"What kind of Doctor are you?My heart is beating too fast.I can't able to move my leg and you saying that I am perfectly fine."Doctor was more confused.He started hitting on Kira's legs.But she didn't show any sign of pain."May be my medical tests are not enough?After all this is just a small hospital.I think you will have to take her in some big hospital."Rajan "I don't need your advice for it.From beginning I never like this hospital.I want her discharge paper to be ready by tomorrow so that I can shift her in other hospital.I hope you have ambulance.""Of course Sir."Then Rajan went out of that room.When Kira went to normal room.She started crying.She was so scared.She never thought that Doctor would not able to identify her problem.But Rajan came in room and convinced her that a qualified Doctor of city would cure her.She finally slept.But kids were also started crying.Then Rajan had to convince them that everything would be fine.But in his heart he was scared and he needed support so he immediately phoned his father for help.
Then next day with his father's help Rajan immediately took Kira to bigger hospital.When they went to doctor for discharge paper.He once again told them"I think you shall have to trust my judgement.Nothing is wrong in your wife physically.She is perfect.No Doctor can change that fact.I think it's all mental."Rajan's father"This is too much.You are saying that she is pretending to be sick.She is stuck to that wheelchair for days.She can't able to go to restroom also.She will pretend all these things.""No.She is not pretending she truly believe that she is sick and that is making her sick."Rajan"Enough of this nonsense.Give me the paper.I will take her to bigger hospital.""Do as you wish.But I am telling you once again.She is physically fit."They took her in city.Then they took her to Doctor.They did many tests but Doctor didn't find any problem.Finally Rajan began to think she was pretending for his attention so he began to ignore her.But still all proved to be useless.Just she began to crying everyday.One day suddenly Rajan's mom came and suggested that they might show Kira to an exorcist.Rajan shocked hear this.But Kira reacted positively towards that idea.Kira"Actually before this I felt a evil presence.""That's it.That is the problem Doctor can't took away ghosts."Rajan"Mom will you stop it.There is no thing as a ghost and I will not permit this nonsense."After that Rajan thought that matter was closed.But one day a neighbour phoned Rajan complaining about screams from his house and exorcism.Actually that neighbour was shocked that Rajan permit it.
Rajan immediately reached home.He was shocked to see all those drama.He literally throw out that man.Rajan"Mom how dare you bring that man in my house?"Kira"I asked him to come this is also my house and I want to be cure.You just don't care for me.Let at least Mom to help me."Rajan was shocked to see Kira's outburst.That moment Rajan first time thought about his judgement.He thought that his wife might not be as sound mentally as he thought.Rajan"Neighbor's are complaining I don't want that man in this house or may be neighbors will call the police."After that he was very nervous about whole issue.Then he suddenly remembered first Doctor's suggestion a psychiatrist.He started searching for his number.Finally he found it.At first that Doctor was not willing to talk to him.After all Rajan had insulted him.But after lot of persuasion he gave him a number of psychiatrist.Then Rajan came in his room.He put his hand on hand of Kira.Rajan"You want to walk don't you;don't you?""Yes.""Then let's take you to psychiatrist.""But I am not mad.""Who told you only mad people go to psychiatrist.It's rubbish.""But I don't want anyone to know about it.They will call me mad..."Suddenly Kira's voice began to rise.Now Rajan was sure that he was right.Rajan"I promise I will not let anyone know about it.""But kids.""I will manage it."Then next day Rajan managed everything.First he managed nice and attractive classes for kids on evening.Then he told his Mom that he had to take Kira to physician and she had to mind kids for some hours.When his Mom knew about their classes.She willingly agreed to mind them for some hours.Then finally they went to psychiatrist.He talked with Kira for many hours.Then finally he said that Kira was hiding some problem inside her heart.That was clause of this.He said that he would try to find.Then after some meeting finally Kira one day told her problem.When doctor asked her about worst day of her life.Kira"I was use.."Then she looked at Rajan and stopped talking.Doctor told Rajan to go out.Then finally Kira talked"I was use to dance.But it was considered bad in our community.One day I danced in school without knowing of my parents and won the prize.But when my father knew about it.He got so angry with me.He told my mother.She threw away my trophy and my father beat me on legs.Sometimes I feel those pains even after many days.There were not mark on my legs or wounds.But still I felt those pains.Now my kids think.I am useless.But I am great dancer.""Those marks are gone.But inside your heart you still feels those pains.What about your husband?He hate dancing.""Of course.I never told him that I can dance.""Then always keep one thing in mind.Those people who can't value your talent are not intelligent to judge you.Don't care for them.You can't dance that is your sacrifice.If they don't value it.Don't care for their thinking.Just always remember you are one of the best dancer.Then you will automatically learn to deal with such type of people."After that slowly Kira began to walk.One day Pooja called her stupid.Kira just smiled at her and ignored her.Then Sunny started laughing.Kira just said one thing "Only a stupid can identify a true stupid."After that such type of remarks were reduced and finally stopped.
