Tina’s fear
Tina was searching for right dress of occasion. It was birthday of her grandmother. She always enjoyed birthday parties. They were her favourite. She loved parties that gave her happiness. She used to enjoy them. She was so happy that all her cousins were coming. She could search for nice dress. Every one would admire her. She knew that they all admired her. She felt so pleased by it. She began to get ready when she suddenly heard scream from downstairs. She ran down. Her Mom was fallen from stairs. Every one was coming towards her. She tried to run. But suddenly she sensed that her legs were not moving. She didn’t understand what was wrong with her. Tina sensed that her Mom was fallen on ground. She needed to help. She tried to scream but nothing came out. She was so upset. She started to feel so restless. She couldn’t do anything. She was just statue on that point. She saw other family members came out. Some of them literally dumped in her. She wanted to move but she couldn’t. She saw all while standing on corner of stairs. She didn’t move. Her sister ran ahead. Her grandparents started to come down. They began to help her mother. She was so upset. She needed to go down but she was not moving. She was stuck on that position. She was on that position. She saw all. She couldn’t move until they didn’t remove her Mom. She didn’t understand why she kept watching. Tina ran to door as soon as her Mom went away with ambulance. Tina was so restless. Tina opened door. Tina looked out on road. Tina saw her Mom was going away in ambulance. She turned back. She looked around. Birthday decorations were still looking so nice. On that point her Dad screamed “ They wanted to celebrate this birthday. I told them don’t. But who will listen to me. They always manage to put me in trouble. Now I will waste so much money on that hospital.” She was so confused. Her Mom went to hospital with her Auntie. Her Dad was in home. She knew that he made excuse of withdrawing money. But he was not doing it. Then she saw that he went in room. He slept peacefully for sometime. She wanted to argue but she didn’t. She saw so scared. She didn’t understand why did she ran towards Mom or why she didn’t enter in ambulance. She just ran in her room. She ran in far away corner of her room. Suddenly her dream day became nightmare. She was so scared. She hated idea of staying without mother in that house. She knew that her grandmother was there. But her grandmother was not helpful. She was always scared herself of everything. She was feeling so restless. She knew that she needed to find someone. She was not big enough to take all responsibility of house. She started crying slowly. She began to feel shiver on her lips. She began to feel so strange. Entire world was closing on her. She began to feel as if wall were coming closer & closer. She began to get a feel of being suffocated. She sensed that things were turning in worst way. She used to feel like that but her Mom used to make her okay but now her Mom was no longer there to help her. She was crying slowly. She kept sitting there until Auntie from neighbourhood called Sarala Auntie didn’t come. She asked about her room so her Dad showed it & then her Dad pretended that he was staying there for her. Immediately Sarala Auntie took her responsibility. Sarala Auntie “ Don’t worry. I will take Tina with me. Just lock door & go.” Her Dad immediately ran out to change. Soon Sarala Auntie came in her room. She told her to pack some clothes. Then Sarala Auntie reminded her all things she needed very sweetly. Tina didn’t want to sleep in other’s home but she knew that she didn’t have much option & Sarala Auntie was so helpful. She did all packing. Then she suddenly remembered that Sarala Auntie’s daughter might be in home too. Annu used to stay in hostel but still she hoped. “ Anu is at home?” Sarala Auntie’s face suddenly looked sad. “ No. She is in hostel. But you can play with Nina.” Nina was perfect to play in normal times. She was younger sister. She was such nice cute little girl. Tina always wanted baby in house & Tina managed to get it by visiting neighbours. But today Tina wanted to discuss her fear & pain. She was so restless. She needed to tell it but she couldn’t tell it to small girl like Nina. She began to feel so uneasy in her heart. She was so upset. She started to get restless. She needed someone to help her. She stopped packing but then when she heard voice of her father she came to senses. She didn’t want to stay with him. She immediately packed everything. She went out with Sarala Auntie. As soon as she entered in Sarala Auntie’s house she saw strange expression on Uncle’s face. Clearly Uncle wanted to discuss something. Auntie told him to stop. Sarala Auntie pointed one room to her. She immediately vanished in that room. She was feeling so upset by incidence of entire day. She was supposed to be partying with people but she was enjoying herself. She was looking around happily but here she was feeling so sad. She was in house of neighbour. She didn’t understand why her life took such bad turn. She didn’t say anything. She just started unpacking when Nina came running in room. Nina’s innocent face was such a pleasant change for her. She kept watching Nina with smile for sometime. Then Nina asked her “ Are you alright?” She nodded. Nina didn’t say anything for sometime. Then Nina came back with laptop. Nina asked “ What did you want to play?” Normally Nina insisted on games of her choice but today Nina wanted her to choose. She smiled & said “ I love them all.” Then Nina smiled & selected one which they both loved to play. Then they kept playing for long time. Soon Tina forgot real life & became involved in that artificial life. She was glad that she came here. She didn’t want to remain stuck with her Dad & grandparents. But she knew that she needed to go back soon. She decided to put that thought behind in her mind & she kept enjoying that day. She totally forgot about everything. Nina managed to take her out of sorrows.
Tina’s Mom Tanuja was awake on hospital bed. She was so tense & upset. She was so scared that Tina wouldn’t be okay. Tanuja sensed that Tina was not with them. She didn’t find Tina anywhere. She tried to ask but she was in too much pain. She couldn’t able to say one word properly. She noticed her husband Shantanu was missing. Actually she did worst mistake by marrying him but she didn’t have much option on that point. She thought that he might be not perfect husband but he would normal husband who would take care of her. But he was not even normal. He never showed any concern for her. She knew that at this point he was sleeping in their bedroom with relaxed mood. She knew that he was not concerned about her or anyone. He knew that he wouldn’t care for their daughter. She started to search for her mother-in-law. Her mother-in-law was soft person who never talked harshly to anyone. She knew that her mother-in-law was only person who could take care of her daughter. She began to search for her. She waited around with patience but her mother-in-law didn’t appear for long time. Finally she asked Nurse. Nurse nodded & called her mother-in-law. Tanuja was so happy to see her. “ Mom where is Tina? She was watching me from top of staircase. You know her. She stood there. She was so scared. She stood there like statue. She was so upset. She kept looking. I know she will be so upset by it all. She was scared.” Tanuja couldn’t speak more. Her mother-in-law didn’t say anything. Suddenly Nurse appeared. Nurse “ Come on. Let patient relax.” Her mother-in-law was just waiting for excuse so she went out of room immediately. Tanuja was so upset. She knew that Tina was not okay. She waited for long time. Finally she saw Shantanu. She called him & asked about Tina. Shantanu gave her angry look. “ This is happening just due to your carelessness. You have spoil it all. You are so stubborn. I was telling you not to plan this celebration..my useless mother doesn’t deserve so much respect.” Tanuja was so angry. But at this moment she needed help of this man so she couldn’t argue. “ Where is Tina?” “ With Sarala? Remember that friend of your? Finally you found one useful friend?” He laughed on her in strange way. She didn’t understand why he needed to act like that every time. It was not as if he was not planning this birthday. In fact he announced it to all but he wanted grand celebration on his Mom’s money. His Mom didn’t show willingness to spend it. Then he suddenly began to complaint. He was no longer interested. But he managed to invite many. She needed to answer them. When she started to discuss about finances, he became angry & started screaming. So she decided to arrange all inside home. She was managing great until she didn’t slip. It was so frustrating. She tried her best to appear nice even in those pains. She requested “ Will you please let me talk with Tina?” He nodded. He called. When Shantanu called Tina was playing. Sarala Auntie took mobile. She immediately came to Tina when Shantanu told Tanuja wanted to talk. She told Tina. Tina was so happy. She took mobile in hand. But suddenly she felt strange grip of fear. She didn’t understand why but she couldn’t speak to her Mom. She began to see that horrible face. She started to shiver with tension. She needed to reduce her panic. She needed to talk. But she kept crying in hysterical way. Sarala looked towards her with shock. Uncle came running in room. Little Nina started crying too. Uncle immediately took Nina in his arms & went out of room. On that point Tina sensed that she did something very wrong. After it entire time they kept Nina away from her. Tina was alone in room. Sarala Auntie kept telling her Mom would come. In hospital Tanuja was so scared. Tina was crying in strange way. She knew something was wrong with her daughter. But she didn’t know how to handle it. She began to get so stressed. She knew that Shantanu wouldn’t help her. He never helped her in anything about their daughter. She tried tm down but she couldn’t. Suddenly she began to feel strange breathlessness. She tried to call Nurse but she couldn’t. It was horrible feeling. She didn’t want to die when her daughter needed her. Soon a nurse came inside running. Nurse started to check her while she called Doctor too. Soon they injected her with something. After it she didn’t understand anything. When Tanuja woke up, Nurse was standing near her. She asked “ What happened to me?” Nurse smiled & said “ Nothing much. It was just too much stress. You had Anxiety attack due to it. When person have Anxiety attack they get breathless. Are you stressed about something?” She nodded slowly. “ My daughter Tina!” Nurse looked curious. Tanuja slowly described her problem. “ This is not first time. Every time when something stressful happens she just stood there. People even abuse her about it. But this time she was screaming in strange way.” Tanuja heard her. Tanuja knew that now Sarala didn’t want to keep Tina with her. “ My neighbour is taking care of her. But now Tina is acting so strange. She will..” Nurse “ I know..I know.. your daughter need psychiatrist!” “ My daughter is not mad.” Tanuja literally screamed on Nurse. Nurse didn’t say anything further. But Doctor appeared after sometime asked “ What happened? All hospital staff is saying patient was screaming on Nurse!” Tanuja felt so scared. She didn’t want to complaint when She was dependent on Nurse. But Nurse told her “ It was my mistake. I recommended Psychiatrist.” Doctor started laughing. Doctor“ Don’t worry Nurse. Now she scream in few days she thank you. I don’t understand why people are so scared of Psychiatrist.” Tanuja gave nervous smile. Nurse “ It was not about patient. It was about her daughter.” “ But patient is having Anxiety attack so mental treatment surely needed. Honestly your missing husband is cause of this. I mean he appears but just for time pass. He is just burden.” Tanuja nodded sadly. Doctor “ I will tell you what you need to do & tell your husband to do same thing.”
Tanuja was so tense. She knew that now Sarala’s husband would be upset. She called Sarala. Sarala sounded very relieved. “ How are you Tanuja?” “ I am fine. I called to tell you I will be discharged soon.” “ How soon?” Tanuja sensed that Sarala didn’t want to keep Tina. “ Well actually I called you since I have arranged babysitter for Tina so you can send her back.” Tanuja lied. She knew that she needed to find one. But she decided that she would insist. Sarala agreed happily. After it Tanuja waited for Shantanu. When he finally came, she began to discuss about maid. Clearly he didn’t like idea. “ You are housewife. You need to handle it all. First I need to earn alone now I need to invest on maid. What is your use?” She used to feel upset by these comments but now she knew that her husband didn’t treat her something more than servant. But she knew that she needed one servant now so she began to insist. Tanuja “ I needed one maid now.” Shantanu gave angry look & finally nodded. She took deep sigh of relief. Then she asked Nurse about it. Nurse told her about agency which gave nice servant. She called it. After this Shantanu kept taunting her on every step but she kept ignoring. Then maid came. She was nice energetic woman. She began to help in everything. But Tanuja sensed one thing. From the day she came in home. Tina kept herself locked in room. It was so strange. Tina was so fond of her but suddenly Tina was no longer interested in her. It was so strange. She was so upset. She started to walk around house soon. She tried to talk with Tina. Tina didn’t say anything at beginning then Tina said “ Mom I kept seeing you on ground in blood. It is giving me nightmares. If Dad heard me screaming he began to get angry..” Tanuja was so tense. Tanuja “ Don’t worry. Mom take you to Doctor for stopping nightmares.” Tina looked so scared. “ Mom no..no..don’t try. Dad get angry!” “ Your Dad kept getting angry on everything. Tomorrow I am going for check up you must come with me.” Tina looked confused but she nodded. Next day Tanuja pretended that she needed extra help so she was taking Tina. Shantanu didn’t actually cared so he ignored. Finally she managed to take Tina with her. She immediately told Doctor about situation. Her Doctor arranged one appointment with Psychiatrist for Tina. He told psychiatrist what was situation so it was decided that they would keep appointment in such a way that it would be adjusted with Tanuja’s appointment. At beginning Tanuja was scared but when she saw how did Psychiatrist handled Tina. She felt happy. Then psychiatrist told nurse to take Tina out. Psychiatrist began to discuss with Tanuja. “ This is not serious. This happened due to sudden trauma but I fear your daughter might develop Anxiety disorder in future. So I recommend treatment.” “ But you know about my husband.” “ He don’t need to know if you want that way. We never tell about client to anyone. That is our first ethic. Your appointment with physiotherapist can be adjusted with your daughter appointment with Psychiatrist.” “ Thanks. I have my bank balance due to my parent’s financial support so I don’t need to tell all to husband & I save money too.” Psychiatrist nodded. Tanuja “ Tina needed to act brave otherwise her future will be destroyed.” “ Don’t worry. I will handle it.” Psychiatrist called Tina back. He talked sweetly with her. Then they went their way. When they sat in car, Tina shivered little bit still Tina sat beside Tanuja. Tina “ Mom I am scared but I love you. Doctor Uncle said slowly I will not feel scared.” Tanuja hugged Tina & said “ My brave girl.” After that day Tanuja noticed change in Sarala’s attitude. Sarala didn’t invite Tina in her house. It was clear that they didn’t want Tina around their daughters. Tina seemed to understand it too. Tina never went in their house so much. Tina began to stay with Tanuja. Tina began to create her world. Soon Tina began to develop interest in drawing. Tina started to draw. Once again Shantanu declared it useless. But this time Tina didn’t care. She kept drawing beautiful pictures. She insisted on joining course of drawing. She began to develop it’s talent. She started to enjoy her life. Tanuja was so happy. Soon Tanuja was fine again. During that time Tina also learnt few things in kitchen. When Tanuja entered in kitchen after accident first time she sensed that Tina knew basic things of kitchen. Tanuja sensed that Tina was growing up in right way. Tina learnt to develop independent life. Tanuja knew that she was not use what might be life ahead for Tina. But she knew one thing. Her daughter was not weak any more. Tina could fight back. Tanuja saw Tina daily fighting back for her rights with Shantanu. Tanuja wanted her husband to treat their daughter nicely but now she knew that it was not possible so she wanted at least Tina to fight back. It was happening. She was so happy. Tanuja threw grand party on her mother-in-law’s next birthday since Tina insisted. Tina was so confident about everything. Tina did all in her best way. Every one admired her. Just Shantanu kept criticising but it was no longer important since now Tina was confident & Shantanu couldn’t stop her. From her heart Tanuja thanked Psychiatrist but she didn’t mention him to anyone since she knew people didn’t understand. But after that incidence Sarala never invited Tina & Tina never visited them. Nina sometimes came to their house to play. But Tanuja knew that relationship was broken. Nina remained just one last which they always appreciated. But now Tina’s life was back on track. Her psychiatristical treatment was stopped & she started living her life happily. Tina was no longer scared of accidents. Now Tina ran to help people without hesitation. It was biggest success for her.
