Unhappy marriage
Tara sat on that sofa. It was clearly too costly. She could sense it. She started to see it carefully. She wanted to observe it for long time. But it seemed wrong to observe it. Since her friend Charu was watching it, Charu must not sense that she was poor. Since Tara and Charu were childhood friends they always used to play with each other. Her all hopes were based on her son Mandar. She just wished that he would turn out like Dad. She suddenly got upset. Charu " What happened?" Tara gave forced smile. " Nothing I just wanted to hurry up. I didn't want my house to be closed when that Maid came." " You are right she might go away without doing work." Tara smiled. Charu " I wish only if we have driver." " No need to worry. I will go." Tara just ran out of Charu's house. She didn't want her to know where she lived. She felt that she was almost breathless due to fear. She didn't want Charu to know truth of her life. But she wanted to keep friendship so she decided that she just kept pretending like this. She smiled happily at that thought. She called auto and sat inside it. Tara began to feel that something right was going to happen in her life finally. She finally went in her home happily.
Tara was shocked when she reached home. Since her brother-in-law was waiting outside her door, Tara " Hello how are you?" " I am fine. But I am not here for these drama. Do you know what happened?" " What?" " Akash managed to create record in earning losses. I mean he managed to sell things in such way that it seemed that we are distributing products without paying money." Tara " I don't understand what are you saying?" " I mean. He sold products at too low rate to increase demand. I mean we need to sell products with logic." " I don't sense. I mean Akash knew it's cost." " But he couldn't manage to sell them for many days so he managed to announce sale in shop. This is turning in worst way. Akash is not acting like wise person." Tara was so shocked. Tara " Let me open door." " Sure do it. I don't want to discuss this before neighbor they already stared observing me in strange way. Few even asked about my purpose to stand here." Tara nodded and immediately started opening door. She could sense that all neighbors were watching them. Finally one of her talkative neighbor came out and smiled. Then she pointedly looked at Tara's brother-in-law which meant that she must tell about her who was that person. Tara " This is my brother-in-law." Akash's brother gave proper respect to her neighbor. Neighbor " You were waiting outside for so long time why don't you call your brother?" " Because Akash is not taking my call." Tara was confused now. " Why didn't Akash take call?" " I don't know." Now even neighbor started looking at them with suspicion. Her brother-in-law" Let go inside." Tara finally managed to open lock of door. They immediately went inside. Tara sat on sofa to relax when suddenly her son came running inside. Mandar " Mom give me some snacks." " Mandar!! Behave properly. Say hello to your Uncle." Mandar turned to his Uncle. But he soon sensed that his Uncle was not in mood to talking with him. Mandar immediately created excuse about homework and he sat in corner. His house was not big so he couldn't avoid listening to them. But somewhere in his soul he wanted to listen all. He wanted to understand reasons for which his father was hated so much. He always sensed that his father was nice person. He kept playing with him on every point. He remembered that whenever he needed some help his father came to help him. He still remembered last time when he was trying so hard to get that question properly. His father came near him. His father had just returned from office but he didn't mind it. He sat near him with smile. Akash " What happened?" He explained every thing out of tears. Akash smiled and told him every thing. On that time Mandar sensed that his father was lot better than his mother. His Mom just kept screaming on him. Even today she started chatting with his Uncle and that indicated that she was not going to give him any snacks. He was feeling so hungry but he knew that soon his Mom would get upset due to some decision taken by his father and he was not going to get any food from her. He just hated her when she didn't give food to him. It was not fair. He deserved nice treatment but she kept treating him like dust. He just hated it. He decided that he must listen to them any way. Tara's brother-in-law " Now I am tense where is Akash?" " Wandering somewhere. You know him. He never truly cared for any one. He just wanted to enjoy his life." Mandar knew that his Mom was lying. His father never acted like that. " He is not that bad. He always tried his best to earn money." "I know his stories but finally he never got anything useful for me or his son. He is just useless." " But where is he now?" " I don't know. And frankly I don't care. I don't care about him any more. He was becoming just pain for me." Then suddenly mobile rang. Tara looked at number. It was from Akash. Tara " Akash where are you?" She heard small sound of crying. She knew that Akash was having another panic attack. Tara was so upset. Tara " Stop irritating me. I am tired of this. Just talk to me." Akash said in weak voice " I am standing on corner of bridge. I just want to jump. I am nothing but burden for you." Tara knew that like last time she had to console him. She knew that it would keep happening every time. She just wanted to get rid of him. She decided that she might just say it on that point. She took deep breathe to control. She didn't want to say something wrong. But then she just said it " Do as you wish." Before she could say something else, she heard sound of jumping. She heard screams of Akash. She supposed to feel sad but she felt so glad. She just wanted to get rid of him. But then soon she came to her senses. She started looking around. Her brother-in-law was watching. She needed support from her husband's family. She knew that she had to lie. But she just couldn't she just told truth " I told him to do as he wish and he jumped." Then she started crying. Her brother-in-law took mobile from her. He started trying to make calls. But she knew that it was too late. She did worst thing in her life. She killed a man. She knew that she supposed to love him but she never did. She kept crying.
Mandar sensed one thing that his Mom never acted this way but today she was acting strange. She never wanted to his father to be died but today she did. He was shocked. He sensed one thing his Mom was not acting normal. After few moments his Uncle received call from his father. He was crying that he wanted to jump but he couldn't since a person caught him. He was in Police station. Akash's brother-in-law " Thank god he is fine. Tara you must learn to control your anger." Tara just kept looking away. Mandar just went ahead and sat near Uncle. Tara moved away from them. She was so angry. She confessed her mistake due to guilt but Akash was not dead. She knew that this drama was going to continued every day. She just wanted to end it. But then she suddenly began to feel guilty. She should not expect her husband to be died. She began to sense one thing that she must not act like that she started to feel guilty again. She started to sense that she was not acting like nice person. She felt that her heart was no longer kind. She began to feel so sad when she suddenly turned and said " I am so sorry. I have to control myself." Mandar could see sorrows in her eyes and he knew that they were true but he also knew that they were temporary. Mandar saw this every day. At one point his Mom was crying for his Dad on other point she just hated him. Mandar never understood which side of his Mom was really true. He just kept feeling confused. But he knew that it started since she met her friend. He saw that auntie one day in school. She seemed like nice woman. But since her Mom went to her home once, she was changed. He knew that she met Charu just once. Still he did notice change in her Mom. Tara never talked in such harsh way with Akash before. She used to get angry with him but still she use to talk softly. She used to take care of his feelings. She never told him in such harsh way to kill himself. It was strange. Then Tara told her brother-in-law that she would stay home with Mandar while he went to police station. Her brother-in-law nodded. Tara decided that she must try to keep her mind calm. She did every thing her best to do it. She started thinking about ways which would show hope to her. But she sensed one thing that her life was hopeless. She just kept remembering Charu. She was rich and perfect. Tara was so upset. She looked around. Mandar was sitting there looking at her with care. She was so angry with the way he was looking. She started to go towards him. Before she could sense something, she started beating him. He started screaming and crying. Mandar was so shocked. That pain was becoming unbearable to him when he suddenly noticed a auntie who used to stay in their neighborhood. He ran to window and screamed. That woman was shocked when she saw Mandar's face full of blood. She ran away. Mandar was so shocked. Then soon that pain became too much and he just fainted. After sometime Tara came back to her sense, she was so shocked. She managed to hurt a child like that. Her own child!! She was so shocked. She just ran inside kitchen without second thought. She locked door. She felt so upset. She knew that she just had to kill herself. She started searching for something. She found knife and cut herself on hand. She managed to cut her hand as many times as possible. Mandar woke up due to screams on door by auntie and watchman. His body was paining but he was so scared of his Mom that he ran to door and opened it. When Auntie saw him, she was shocked. Auntie " Who did this?" Mandar hugged her and said " Mom." Watchman was screaming and searching for intruder with other member of society stopped in track. " My god how could mother do that to her child?" Watchman " She must be mad." Auntie " Just be careful with her." Soon they found kitchen door was closed. They managed to break it. After seeing Tara they called ambulance. But they all were scared of Tara. No one felt any sympathy for her. When she was taken to hospital, even Mandar was checked by Doctor. Soon Doctors called Police. Whole society called about Tara in positive way. They all told that they never saw anything wrong in her until now. But Police wrote it all and told Doctor that they must keep watch on Tara. After some time Akash came there. He was so shocked. He kept saying "Tara was never like that she can't hurt Mandar." But they all knew it was truth.
When Aakash entered Mandar hugged him. Akash " Mandar why did Mom hurt you like that? I mean did Mom hurt you?" " Dad Mom kept acting strange few times." " Like?" " Last time Mom broke all crockery without reason." "When?" " On that day when you came late." Akash sensed. It was that day when he suffered loss for first time. Akash " After that." " In few days I kept seeing that there were lot of broken things in dustbin. One day finally asked Mom about them. She said that she was Mom so I couldn't question her. She was looking so strange with anger that I don't ask her." " But why?" " I don't know Dad. But I think there is one Auntie at school who knew about Mom a lot more than us." " A Auntie? May be I should call your grand pa?" " No..No he would make it worst. I remember last time how did he manage to show her wrong way. That day grandpa came home and started talking to Mom. He said so many wrong things about our home that Mom started to get upset on that day she broke that glass of window with her hand." " What? She told me that it was accident." " I know Dad. She told me to lie too but this is not right." " But why don't you tell me?" " I am too scared." " I don't understand. I felt that your Mom loved you." " She loved me when she is sweet Mom but then sometimes she get that strange light in eyes and then I felt so scared." " Did she hurt you before?" " No Dad. Never!! She always kept just showing her anger but she never touched me. I always thought that one day she might get angry." "So what happened today?" " I don't know. I feel you must meet that Auntie." Akash nodded. He didn't like this mystery. He was the one in family who always had problems but now Tara seemed to be having worst problem in house. She hit her own son. It was shocking. He knew that he had to keep her in hospital. But first he needed to know what was wrong with her. He slowly went near her room. But when she saw him, she suddenly got angry. Tara " Just go away." " But I am your husband and your love." She started laughing. " You are not my husband. I am still planning to marry a boy from rich family." " What are you talking about? You are my wife." She started screaming on him that he was lying when Nurse came and told him not to disturb her. Akash " I want to talk her. She hit our son. Now Mandar never went near her. She acted like some evil person. I don't know why she did it. I want to question her." Nurse " Since she is not normal. She is mentally sick." " But she was looking perfect until yesterday." " You can't always notice those signs. Just stay away." Akash had to go away. Then he saw Police was waiting outside. Police " You are her husband? Where were you?" Akash was so confused. But he decided that lying to Police was not wise. " I was trying to commit suicide." " My god. What is wrong with your family? Your wife is mad and you are also mad." Then suddenly a Doctor came from behind. " He is not mad. She is. He is just getting nervous and confused due to her." Then Doctor turned to him. " Hello I am psychiatrist of your wife. Actually your wife was obsessed about money from childhood. Her upbringing taught her that she must become rich. Her father forced that thought on her. Then she married you for money. When she sensed you are not rich, she started pushing you. But you got more nervous and started failing again and again. Which sent her to depression. Due to that depression she started having problem of anger management. She began to have attack of maniac. She stared to throw out her anger. But it was in control until she didn't meet her childhood friend who was rich. After seeing her she just wanted to become rich. She was even ready to kill you for that insurance money. She told it to me herself that she suggested you to jump from bridge. She used to love you but slowly it all vanished. Now she wanted to forget every thing and her psychology decided that she needed to marry someone else so she started to forget you." " But you can't forget person or hit your kid like that." " It happens to some people. We need to start her treatment." " But did she love me?"" Frankly I don't think that she love you. I feel it will be better if you went ahead in different ways." " But I want my son." " And she didn't want him. Just don't worry. I don't think you want to stay with her any more. Do you?" Akash nodded in negative way. He sensed his marriage was mistake from beginning. Tara was never happy. He decided that he wanted to be free and he also wanted to give freedom to Tara. He told Doctor same thing. From that day he started moving ahead. At beginning he felt lonely but then he started to get used to it. Finally one day he even managed to get profit. He sensed one thing Tara managed to destroy their life. She didn't love him so he kept giving her alimony. But Tara never showed desire to see his face or Mandar's face and they never wanted to meet her. They began to live separate life which was best for them all.
