Tina’s school
Ranjana was planning a perfect day. It was becoming tradition of their house. From morning Ranjana plan everything & they supposed to follow her. They kept doing whatever she told. Tina didn’t like it but still she obeyed her. Her parents told her that Ranjana Auntie knew the best. It was tradition of their house. It all started when her Uncle Pradip got married to her. Before his marriage everything was different, they were not so happy, Her Uncle was elder so she never knew that life. From birth she knew one thing that they needed to Ranjana Auntie. Just few days ago a new shop was opened in corner. She went there with her friends. She didn’t tell anyone about it. She was so excited when she noticed it had sweets of her choice. She was so happy about it. Those ice creams were something out of her dream world. She kept watching them for hours. She didn’t have money so purchase was not possible. But she enjoyed them with her eyes. She wanted to eat at least one scoop but she couldn’t since Ranjana Auntie didn’t permitted. She knew that Ranjana Auntie would decide all. But this time she wanted to push for her ice cream. It was special for her. In morning Ranjana started to plan all. She was so happy when everyone sat around her. It was always like that. She always kept thinking that it was perfect. They all respected her & she deserved it. She was planning all for long time. She decided when to go in which place. She knew that she was considered a great person who was connected to God. She knew that her every wish was biggest thing to them all. She smiled happily at thought of admiration she received from family. She came out & sat on sofa. Immediately everyone came out. She began to tell everyone what she planned for them. She took in consideration what would be best for them on every step. She was pleased when her college going children also obeyed her. She was very happy. On that day she planned all. She began to distribute money accordingly. She told who supposed to spend what & where. They all nodded. Since her daughter managed to impress boy with yellow dress which she wore as per her instructions. She was so happy. She was so confident when suddenly school going Tina came ahead & asked with sweet smile “ Can I eat ice cream today Ranjana Auntie?!” It was confusing. Tina was requesting but still she could sense evil in it. She could sense arrogance. She gave one angry look. She thought that Tina would looked away but Tina kept looking in her eyes. Tina was not nervous. It was so odd. Suddenly Tina’s Mom pulled her back. Tina’s Mom was clearly upset with boldness which Tina showed. Tina looked shocked. Tina asked “ What happened? I was requesting auntie! I don’t disrespect her.” Ranjana heard this. But Ranjana could sense that Tina wanted to dominate her. Tina was clearly getting friendly with wrong crowd. She knew that Tina needed to change school. She was thinking about this for long time but it was not easy to discuss. She felt so nervous. She knew that this was big decision. Soon they would needed it to be told. Ranjana sensed one thing that it was needed. She could see wrong spark in Tina. She could always sense it before it could damage a child. She gave sweet smile & said “ It’s okay. She can have ice cream. In fact you all go to ice cream after Tina’s admission in new school.” At beginning Tina smiled then it vanished. “ New school?!” Ranjana managed to find more reputed school. She knew that it was costly & it was better than other kids school. Even her own kids went to simple schools. But she knew that all would admire her decision. She noticed that Tina was favourite of all. Immediately she told name. All literally clapped. Ranjana “ I am sorry. I don’t able to send others..” “ Mom..Mom you don’t need to feel sorry. We are happy that you took this decision. We all want our younger sister have best education!” “ Yes.” They all screamed in support. She could hear admiration in their voice for her. Once again she became most respectful in their eyes. She didn’t look towards Tina. She was no longer concerned about her. She did what she wanted & it was best for all. After that she started TV. It was her time for morning show. After that she would go in kitchen to cook & Tina’s Mom would come to watch TV. She always shared everything. She was not totally selfish. But today she didn’t sense that she managed to shatter Tina’s life. This was earthquake for Tina. She didn’t expected sudden change. She was thinking about going to that ice cream shop with her friends. Tina felt so sad. She went in school that day with small face. She sat beside her best friends Lina, Trupti , Isha. She told them all about change of school. She was expecting them to get angry on Ranjana Auntie but instead they started to show sorrow on their luck. Isha “ Wow I want to join that school too. I must insist to my Mom!” Tina was shocked so Ranjana Auntie did great thing. Tina wanted ice cream but now she decided to forget it. She began to tell how interesting should be that school. She wanted all her friends to come there. In few seconds all were convinced. She was so happy. She was not sure that she would get her friends there but she was sure that she was getting something great & worthy. She wanted it at any cost. She spent her entire day in just admiring with that school. She said it in low voice since she didn’t want teachers too hear. But she was totally sure that she was getting something better. She knew that she would be happy in that new school. But then her friends demanded a ice cream party after her admission in new school she couldn’t deny it. Still she didn’t say yes. She said “ I will ask Ranjana Auntie first!” Soon all girls started to make faces. Then another girl came & declared “ My Mom gave birth to my new brother so I will give you ice cream party. Just forget her. She never do that. She always bow before her Auntie.” She smiled & nodded. Every one suddenly became inspired by these words. Trupti said “ I want to meet your Auntie too.” Tina was so happy. She sensed that they all admired her Auntie. She nodded & said “ I will ask Auntie if you have time.” Then teacher came & all returned to their benches.
Tina sensed that Ranjana Auntie was getting respect step by step. She knew that until now just people inside her house took her advice now even her friends wanted them. She didn’t know how did Ranjana Auntie respond to it but she was happy about it. She decided that she was going to convince her Auntie to do that. Tina started to think ways to convince her. Tina decided that she would complete her homework in perfect way & then she would go in kitchen to help. It would impress her Auntie. Tina was so happy by this idea. She came home with positive hopes. But then she sensed something was wrong. Ranjana Auntie was sitting in middle of hall. Everyone was sitting around her. Tina didn’t make much noise. She entered slowly in house. She slowly called her Mom. She looked towards her. But before her Mom Ranjana Auntie gave her angry look. Ranjana Auntie “ Did you told everyone in school that I could do miracles?!” Tina felt confused. She admired Ranjana Auntie fully without thinking of limits but she didn’t feel that she claimed some miracle. Tina gave her confused look. Tina “ I don’t remember saying that..” Ranjana Auntie “ My miracles are just for family not for people.” Her Mom came towards her & slapped Tina strongly on back. Tina felt so sad. Tina didn’t plan to insult or harm any one. Tina began to get restless. She didn’t want to cry. She didn’t want to give pleasure of success to Ranjana Auntie. She needed to apologise to avoid further punishment. It was practical so she didn’t. Tina said “ I am sorry. I don’t mean that! I am wise enough but still I know super power doesn’t exist!” Now this managed to shock Ranjana Auntie. She knew that she got super power but she supposed to use only for family & now little Tina started to challenge their existence. Tina received another slap from her Mom. This time it hurt too much. Tina could sense pain. Tina didn’t understand what was going on. Ranjana screamed on top of her lung “ That’s why I was suggesting to change her school.” Tina was so shocked. Ranjan Auntie wanted her friends to be taken away from her! She began to cry loudly. She was so upset. She didn’t want to listen to anyone. She just ran out of house without any thought. She literally ran in road. Her Mom ran out. Tina was about to get hit by car when suddenly she sensed it. Driver managed to stop car on time. She felt so happy about it. She didn’t want to land in hospital or became handicap. It was first time when she felt that death was welcome thought. She felt so alone & sad. She didn’t understand when her started to hate her life so much. She began to get so restless. She needed to feel happy but she was feeling hurt. Her life was not moving the way it should. She knew that she was just kid but she no longer felt like one. She came back home with her Mom. But she didn’t say anything. She didn’t want to talk any more. She didn’t understand what was her mistake but her every sentence seemed like wrong one. She began to feel that they all hated her. She wanted to feel happy but she was feeling just sad & alone. She wanted to smile again but she knew it was impossible. Her Mom told her to sit in room. Tina’s Mom “ Why don’t you understand?! She could curse you! Then all would be worst. She have special power.” Tina knew that it was fake but she couldn’t dare to say it. Her Mom would hit her again. She didn’t want to tolerate humiliation & pain again. She just nodded. Her Mom smiled. Her Mom kissed her on forehead. She gave sweet smile. She began to feel so sad. She didn’t want to say anything to anyone. She kept feeling sorrows in her heart. It was so upsetting. She just sat in corner. Mom said “ Just stay in room. Don’t come out.” She nodded. Her Mom went out. She sat in room with books. She knew that they all could see special power in Ranjana Auntie but she couldn’t. She didn’t want to argue. Then her parents came in her room after sometime. Her Dad declared “ You are not going back in that school. Your Auntie managed to get school leaving certificate. You can go in school next year. It will waste your one year but you deserve that punishment after what you did. I don’t want you to meet any those friends.” Tina felt so sad. Tina “ My friends don’t told me that Auntie is not special. They liked her..” her Dad screamed on her “ Just shut up or I will hit you with my belt.” She was never hit like that. But she read about it in her books. She felt so scared. She didn’t say anything. She just kept reading her books. Then she slowly shifted to painting. When she began to draw she felt so nice. They told her that she must not dance. It was wrong according to Ranjana Auntie but suddenly she began to desire that she needed to. She started dancing . Her feet began to feel new rhythm in them. She was totally lost in them after sometime. She was dancing so happily. Her door was closed so she knew that no one would sense that she was dancing. She kept dancing for long time without stopping for moment. It was so wonderful. She began to go in different world on that point. She heard knock on her door. She opened it. Her parents were standing outside with Ranjana Auntie. Ranjana Auntie told her “ I talked with principal of your school. He told me that you can shift your school next year until then you need to study in same school. He told me that you are nice kid so you will obey me. So no talking in class. You just need to sit on first bench.” Tina nodded to all. She didn’t want to argue. She just wanted to be alone in her room. She nodded to all & they all went away. She knew that in this room they would create their different world. She could paint, read & dance. She needed no one around her. It was very upsetting when they taunted her. Tina began to stay in her room. Tina started to enjoy life in her room. It was very upsetting for her. She knew one thing now. This world was her only happy world. She knew that now inside school no one would talk with her. She needed to stay in her dream world.
Tina went in school. She sat on bench teacher suggested. She didn’t speak. She kept studying. Her friend started to look towards her with curiosity. They were about to speak to her when their teacher ordered them “ You must not speak with Tina. Principal gave strict order.” They all nodded. It was so upsetting. All her friends had questions in their eyes. On that point she suddenly sensed that someone was observing her. She began to imagine eyes of Ranjana Auntie. She couldn’t believe it. They were behind her. She could see just pair of eyes in her mind. She could sense their heat on her back. She began to feel pain. She screamed in pain. She started crying loudly in pain. Teacher felt so shocked. Teacher asked her “ What’s wrong?” She began to tell in her scared voice “ Auntie is burning me with her eyes…” many girls screamed. Those girls who were sitting on back bench started running away. Teacher told them to calm down. Teacher slowly touched her back. She screamed in pain. Teacher felt so confused. Teacher told monitor to take care of class & went out with her. Teacher took her to room where they took sick kids. Teacher checked her back. It had marks but it didn’t seem like burning marks. Teacher slowly asked her “ Did someone hit you?” “ No..no Auntie burnt me!” Teacher began to sense that Tina was not in her sound mind. Teacher tried to calm her down but it didn’t work. Slowly Teacher started put medicine on her wounds. Teacher started to console her. But it was not working. Teacher was so scared now. Tina was crying uncontrollably. Suddenly Principal entered in room. That Teacher was so nervous. Principal asked her what happened. Teacher slowly explained situation. Principal looked towards Tina with tense & said “ We need to call her parents.” Tina felt so scared. “ No..no my Mom will hit me.” She said it without second thought. Her teacher immediately sensed it. Principal went out. Principal called Doctor. Then Principal called her parents. When Principal tried to talk with her Dad, her Dad started with angry responses. Principal soon sensed that this was not going to be easy. Principal took deep breath. She had two options. One to file Police complaint another to ignore. She knew that they might harass her after it. But she decided to go by morals. She called Cops. Soon Lady Cops came. They talked with Tina. When Tina’s parents came Cops were already discussing with her. Tina’s Dad looked scared. Her Mom started to explain Cop. It happened by just mistake. Soon counsellor started to discuss with Tina alone. When Counsellor came out she told to her parents “ I advise you to send her to hostel. It will best for her. She was scared & those pains are due to her fear. She wanted to avoid Ranjana Auntie & I feel even this Ranjana Auntie didn’t seem interested in staying with her does she?” Tina’s parents knew very well that Ranjana didn’t like Tina that much. They were planning for second child so they didn’t want Tina’s impact on new baby. “ Actually we want to send her to good Hostel too. But we can’t manage it in middle of year.” Counsellor nodded. Counsellor “ Don’t worry I can arrange it if you are ready to spend money since hostel will cost extra.” Tina’s Dad smiled happily “ No problem.” Tina’s Mom had tears in her eyes. But she knew that it was better for her daughter. Tina went home. Tina didn’t go out much. Tina stayed just in room. They called Tina for counselling sessions. Slowly Tina started to get normal. But still Tina avoided Ranjana Auntie. Normally kids wanted to stay with their Mom but Tina was so scared of Ranjana Auntie that she wanted to just shift in hostel. While Ranjana was very happy about this change. She wanted to get rid of Tina for long time. It was frustrating for her. Tina was not acting like obedient child. She could sense slowly even her kids were getting influenced by Tina. She knew that Tina was small while her kids were adult but still Ranjana could sense her influence. Her daughter questioned her decision when she told her daughter which dress she should purchase. It was beginning. Finally day came when Tina went to hostel. Tina was so happy. Tina packed everything. On that time her friend called her. Her friend said that she was planning to go in hostel too. In fact all her friends would manage to get admission but they were not in same room. She felt so sad. She knew that she would be new in hostel. But she decided to go for it. She sat in Train alone for first time. Her Dad didn’t want her Mom to go with her. Tina knew that her Dad hated her now. She knew that her Dad wanted just new baby. They were hoping it would be son. She was so confused about it. She knew that her Dad used to like her once. But now she began to question her judgement. Any way she knew that her Mom still loved her. Her Mom packed everything she needed. Her Mom purchased all as her choice. This was first time when Ranjana Auntie didn’t interfered. Ranjana Auntie declared that she couldn’t take Tina under her great wings so finally Tina was free to choose what she liked. Tina knew that it was just pretending by Ranjana Auntie for few days. Tina knew that soon she started interfering. Actually at beginning Tina’s Mom was planning to travel with her. But Ranjana Auntie told her that it was risky for new baby so Tina went alone. When Tina sat in train, she felt that she wanted to cry but she didn’t she was brave girl. She started to think positively about all. She knew that now in this hostel she could do all paint, dance & many other things. She even talked with her roommates on mobile. They seemed nice too. She started to think positively about all. She smiled & began her new journey in her new world. She was excited about it. She began to think positively. As train started to move ahead her past school & friends started to go away. She didn’t want to remember them any more. She sensed that she moved ahead.
