Girl from neighborhood
Tina was busy in her work when door bell rang. She was so upset. She didn't want to be distrubed but she was getting distrub every time she started working. This doorbell was her worst enemy. Sometimes she was wished only if she could go in some deserted island where she could do her work peacefully. She needed peace to do her work but she was not getting it. Her life was getting worst every day. She knew that she got everything in perfect way. She got nice husband and two kids who were in school. They were getting proper grades and her husband was getting proper promotion so everything was perfect. But she was too irritated even by this perfection. She wanted some change. In fact she felt sometimes as if she was trapped. She wanted to escape it all. She kept showering her love and affection on her family but at same time she sensed that she was missing something. Now-a-days she even felt that she didn't truly wanted to be there. She took deep breath. Once again she closed her laptop and went to door. She opened it. It was some courier. It was just some post which was clearly useless to her but still it was sent by some company who felt it was important enough to send it to her by courier. She never understood why did they waste money that way. But she had to open door and get out. It was so frustrating. She took that post and threw it in one corner. She took deep breath. She needed to concentrate on her work again. On that point she heard some voice. She could hear it clearly. A small girl was talking to her. She looked behind and she saw that no one was there. She felt so confused. Then she looked around. Soon she sensed that it might be someone next door. That little girl was jumping with joy. She could hear it in her voice. She felt so pleased by that voice. She wanted to be happy just like that girl. She knew that her work would give her that pleasure. She knew that her work would turn her in little angel and she would become just the way she was in past. She would be happy and pleased. She started working. On that point she heard door bell. She was so upset. She didn't understand why did her door keep ringing. She didn't like to open it again and again. She went there and opened it. She looked out. No one was there. She felt that it must be some prank by kid who stayed in next flat. She didn't understand why didn't these kids left her alone. She needed to do work too. She wanted to live her life happily but it was not happening. She was so upset. She didn't understand why didn't those kids were discipline by their parents. She always felt that kids needed to behave in limit. These kids kept ranging her door bell again and again. She didn't understand what was so amusing to them in it. For her it was so horrible. It was so irritating. She didn't want to be disturbed again and again. She needed to concentrate on her work. But it was not happening. She was feeling so frustrated. She didn't like the way those kids were irritating. But trouble was she didn't understand from which floor. She decided to talk with watchman. After all she needed to get rid of them. Those kids must stop coming and irritating her like this. She knew that kids were kids they would not treated harshly but still she kept feeling so frustrated. She needed to observe kids. She needed to work. She once again started working. It was so frustrating. She wanted to work. But that door bell then voice of that small girl everything was irritating her. She didn't understand why did she kept hearing those voices. She was irritating those voices of kids. She needed sound proof room. She wanted to live happily but she couldn't manage. Those kids kept irritating her. She decided that today she would talk with her husband Kedar. Kedar always appreciated her. He never said anything against her in such cases like interior. She smiled at that thought. Normally husband complained about expenses but Kedar never did. She was permitted to spend money as per her wishes. She was so happy to have such a nice husband. She smiled to herself at her fortune. But she suddenly sensed that her smile was artificial one. She didn't needed to smile like that. She was happy and it was perfect for her. But then those kids were truly bothering her. She decided that she might call secretary of society to tell all. In her soul she was scared. She didn't want any small child to be punished. She decided that she must talk with secretary nicely. She took her mobile and asked her society secretary if it was possible to meet him now. He was busy at that time. But he gave her time of evening. She thanked him happily. She felt that it would better if Kedar was with her during that discussion. Kedar's suggestions were always valuable for her. She felt so tense. She didn't understand how to handle situation without him. He was such big help. She kept convincing people but nothing happened. She didn't feel so much confident. But Kedar was so confident while she was so nervous minded. She couldn't able to do anything. It was just Kedar who did it. He was true hero. She just kept following him blindly everywhere. But she didn't understand what his thoughts about this. She suddenly remembered her friend Revati's words. Revati said " Don't let your husband dominate you too much otherwise one day you will not even able to move carpet from floor without him." She laughed so loudly on it. She said " Come on I need to a man to remove carpet. I am not that strong." " Have you even tried?" She kept quiet. Truthfully she never tried since she didn't feel that strong physically ever. She felt so sad about it. She wanted to feel strong but she was not. She didn't want to become laughing stock before others so she never tried. She took deep breath. She tried her best to control her frustration and said " I can manage things without Kedar." Revati laughed. That laugh made it clear that she was not telling truth and it was clear to Revati. She felt hurt. But now when she thought about it then she sensed that it was truth. She didn't manage to do much without Kedar's help. She just kept waiting for him on every moment.
Tina was so frustrated that those kids kept irritating her entire time. Sometimes she hurt by that small girl and sometimes door bell kept irritating her. She tried so hard to work. But she soon sensed that it was impossible. She began to feel that it was not going to happen. She needed to concentrate and she was not able to do it due to those voices. There were voices of kids. She didn't understand why did kids from her society needed to act so naughty. She needed to get over those voices but they kept irritating her. Finally she stopped working. She decided that she could watch TV it was perfect option. She started to watch it. She soon got involved in it. She began to feel so happy. She started laughing and crying with it's story. She suddenly sensed that those kids were no longer making noise. She just wanted it to happen. She felt so happy. She started to hope that she could work now. Since she was no longer hearing those kids. She smiled happily. She went back to her work and she heard that small girl's scream. She could hear words too. She was telling her Mom that she didn't want to eat it. It was so normal kids. But still it was so irritating when she kept hearing those voices. She just wanted that girl to shut up just same way as she was before. When she was watching TV this kid behaved like angel. But now she was screaming in such way as if someone set her hand on fire. She thought this then she felt shame for thinking this way about kid. She started to look out of window. She thought that she could see that kid. But she couldn't. She looked at decoration of room. It didn't seem like room of child at all. It seemed like adult window with delicate curtains of small flower pattern. She began to think about that child. She felt that kid must be very artistic otherwise it was not possible but keep room with proper decoration. She saw normally kids kept room full of cartoons. She was not that much fond of them. In fact from childhood she never loved any cartoon. She remembered list of those things which were gifted to her. All had cartoon on them. She didn't want to use cartoons but her parents didn't want to tell anyone specially after they got such costly gifts so all her birthday gifts were wastage until she didn't grown up enough to dislike cartoons. She looked at those curtains and began to remember her childhood. Her Auntie gifted her beautiful curtain of cartoons. They were silky and fancy perfect according to everyone. They wanted her to use them. But she didn't like that she wanted simple one. She cried so hard for entire day but nothing happened. She wanted to threw away those curtains. It was her room. She supposed to decide but she never got that chance. She still felt that pain. It was horrible to tolerate that bossing. She had just room to show people but truthfully that room didn't belong to her. Her parents did bossing on everything including curtains. She felt so sad at memory of that room. It had nothing of her choice. It was made entirely to please guests or relatives who hardly visited her room. She spent her childhood in room which she felt as if her entire life was destroyed on that point. If only she could have chosen her room. She might had chosen her husband too. She suddenly began to feel confused. She liked her husband so why did she wanted to replace him. She didn't understand. Then she looked out again. She decided to return to her own thought. So she sensed that girl was living in bedroom like adult. She thought that her parents might be considerate about their daughter's choice. But she didn't understand why did she kept screaming. She sensed one thing soundproof room was only solution. She thought that talking to secretary was also useless. But then she sensed that she must stop kids from ringing her door bell. She stopped working and took deep breath. She looked around. She didn't understand why she didn't able to complete one word of her work. She decided that she must not push herself too much. She could ignore it today. She could start from tomorrow. She looked around. Her house was too dirty. She began to clean it. She started cleaning each corner and she began to feel better and better. It was giving her spirit. She sensed that she might needed to do more household work and relax. During this time she forgot all. She started to remember those happy memories when her parents gifted her with beautiful ornaments. She loved golden jewelry and her parents always loaded her with it. She was always precious to them than anything else. She smiled at those positive thoughts. She began to feel that she needed to stay away from her work just for few days. Then her entire issue would be over. She could use something to close her ears. Then it would show wonderful results on her mind. She felt so sad that in her own flat she needed to tolerate so many troubles. Once she used to be paying guest during her college days but in those houses she never had such troubles with one complaint to owner of flat next day everything used to become peaceful. She smiled to herself. She also managed to get freedom from her parents during college days. Those days were wonderful. She suddenly started thinking about her college friends. She remembered time that she spent in enjoying outing. It was big group. They had girls and boys. Actually slowly they started to become couples. They never crossed limits since they didn't want to destroy their future by early marriage or at least Tina didn't. He used to come to her every day with same wonderful smile of child. She always used to watch him with same enchantment. It was normal for them. But finally nothing happened. He never asked her about marriage. He married to girl chosen by his parents. She didn't actually went to his wedding but she heard about it. She still remembered her shock when she heard about his wedding. She was never planning to marry him since her parents would have objected and he knew it very well still it hurt. She sensed that her thoughts were running in wrong way again. She took deep breath and stopped them.
When Kedar entered in house, Tina was cleaning house. She was looking happy and normal. But she was not doing her work. He was shocked and confused. He was expecting her busy with her work but then he didn't insisted upon her work so it was entirely her choice. He didn't want to insist work on her. Kedar smiled and said " So you planned to clean today?" Tina suddenly looked upset. Tina " No..no I don't plan to clean. I wanted to work but those kids don't permit a peace of minute!!" " Kids?!! But our kids are grown up now. Why did they irritate you?" " No..no not our kids! I mean kids from neighbourhood. Few were ringing door bell and one girl was crying so loudly." Kedar started laughing. Kedar " Kids will always remain kids. We can't change them but you can always change time of your work. I mean you can work when kids were away." She took deep breath. She smiled and said " But how did I suppose to know when those kids went away?""We can ask watchman!!" She smiled. She liked this idea. Now they could ask watchman. She just needed to use intercom and her troubles would be over. She smiled happily. " I really like this idea." She was so sure that she could work from tomorrow. Finally her troubles were over. She decided to call tomorrow but Kedar insisted " Call now. I can see your tension." She smiled. Kedar was so wonderful. He always acted so considerate towards her. She could never ignore his kindness. But she was so confused. She didn't understand why she didn't call it love. She kept thinking every day about his nice attitude. She knew that she got perfect husband. She knew that she always did right thing for her so she smiled and called watchman. She told him about ringing or door bell and also that she wanted to when child from that flat went to school. Watchman didn't say anything for long time then he said " Madam in that flat they have no children then they might have visited them?!!" Watchman took deep breath and said " No Madam this couple is childless." Tina felt so shocked. She was staying here from beginning. When this building was built, they came here as first customer. They knew every one from building. But she didn't knew this couple since they never came out. She didn't understand what could they achieve by hiding like that. She had never seen them. Now she could hear voice of child in that flat. She was sure that it was inside flat. She was so tense. She turned back. She saw kids so she didn't say anything. She just smiled then she waited until they did get personal time in bedroom. She told everything to Kedar there. She told all to Kedar except about her old boyfriend. She shivered at even thought of sharing it. She knew that Kedar could never took it in good way. He didn't like her admiration towards any man. He was not jealous husband who hit wife or create drama. He just didn't talk and it was most horrible. She kept feeling scared entire time. She began to feel what if he started suggesting divorce. She didn't want to get divorce. She wanted to remain happily married. In fact she married to him with just that decision. She couldn't let him left her. She couldn't imagine going back to parents. She didn't want to go in that bedroom again. Then she began to think of her kids. She shivered. She didn't want divorce so she must start working. Kedar wanted her to work. Kedar never said it on her face but she could sense it in his tone. He wanted her to start working. She must do it. " I don't understand how could they have child?" Kedar smiled and said " Simple. They could have adopted one." Tina smiled happily since it seemed like perfect solution. Then she felt confused again. " Watchman said they are senior citizens!" " So what? Girl might be big. They are having problems while convincing her to adjust with them. Normally kids of grown up age didn't accept adoption so easily." Tina looked shocked. She didn't like this idea. They were forcing a girl to adjust. We need to do something." Kedar was totally shocked at this idea. He didn't want to fall in argument with neighbour. Kedar " I don't think so. I feel they just need time to adjust with each other and if we give it then they will adjust soon. If we start to complaint now then it might destroy all. This about that girl's horrible future without parents in this world." Tina was so upset. She didn't believe that girl was happy. She didn't feel that she needed such horrible parents. But she couldn't complaint without cause. Suddenly she got idea. " I think I might visit them and help them in that matter. I mean I can convince girl and help them." Kedar was shocked by this idea. He never thought that Tina could interfere in other's matter in such forceful way. It was frustrating for her. He took deep breath and said " I don't like it. This is not our business. We don't need to interfere." " But if that girl kept crying then I can't work. I need to stop her." Kedar was confused now. He knew that he was not interested in her work. It was nothing useful on financial level. In fact he didn't have much interest in it. But he wanted to keep her happy so he kept showing interest in it. He was so upset. He didn't understand what he supposed to say. He knew that this was start of his sleepless nights. He knew that something was wrong with Tina's decision but he couldn't point out what. He forced to nod. Tina was so happy. She could solve her problem. Finally she was no longer going to face those voices during work. She was happy that finally she could solve her troubles. She decided that tomorrow she would go to that flat and talk with those people. She felt so sure that her problem was going to get solved. That night she slept peacefully but Kedar couldn't able to sleep easily. He was sensing something was wrong and he didn't like it.
Tina was so happy next morning when she went towards that flat. She wanted that irritating voice to stop. She rang door bell. An elderly lady came out. Tina was shocked. That lady was too old. But then she thought that it might be possible that this lady was looking elderly just due to some emotional or physical trouble. Tina introduced herself. This lady nodded. That Lady " I am Priti. Glad to see you. Please come in." Then that lady offered her snacks and tea. Normally Tina did take such snacks but on that point denying seem like mannerless thing so she accepted it. Then she kept chatting with Priti. Priti seemed like nice lady. Finally Tina came to real trouble. Tina " So which girl is staying with you?" " Girl?!!" Priti looked shocked. Priti " We don't keep PG." Tina was really scared now. She heard sound of kid everyday. Tina took deep breath and said " But I heard everyday a girl who kept complaining about food given to her. A little girl!!" " Such girl didn't stay with us. We are childless so we don't have any kid in our house for long time. " Priti was clearly hurt. Tina knew that she touched wrong chord. Tina " I am sorry. But I heard voice of child every day. I tried so hard to adjust but that child keep screaming in such big voice that I couldn't write anything. I know child became naughty sometimes. But this girl is screaming everyday." Priti shivered with fear. Priti " I don't understand. We don't have any child." Priti was controlling her tears with efforts. Tina sensed it. Tina felt so guilty. Tina " I am sorry. I don't want to hurt you." Priti controlled her tears and said " It's alright." Priti " Actually once we have one daughter. She was so beautiful and nice girl. Everything was perfect until she didn't insisted on bike. I was totally against it. But she didn't listen. Finally she started using friend's bike. She had became even major so she got licence. I saw her rash driving. I opposed so much but she didn't listen then finally my worst fear became true. She took her bike in full speed. Then a car hit her. I thought that it was her mistake but I was shocked when I was told that driver of vehicle was drunk. She was not driving in wrong way. She was driving in right way but still she died because driver was drunk. It was horrible." Priti stopped for few moments. Priti " After that for long time I kept hearing her voices. Then I took treatment and it all stopped. Maybe she was truly with us?.." Tina didn't like the way conversation was moving. She couldn't believe she heard ghost and mostly importantly it was small child. " No..no it was voice of small child." Priti gave sad smile and said " I was saying in soul. But we can't see her voice. I didn't believe she truly talk with me. I was just describing my pain during that time. I am fine now. But trust me. There was not any child here." " But I heard it clearly." Priti took deep breath. Priti " We need to inquire." Tina felt confused. " Regarding what?!! If there isn't girl then.." Priti " I feel I might be creating those voices.." " What?!!" " In mental problem after trauma we hear or speak such voices. I will tell my psychiatrist about it but I need your help to locate timing." Tina was so shocked. She began to feel so scared. She didn't want herself to be related to this business at all. This madness scared her. She didn't want to talk with this mad woman. She didn't want to chat with her, she looked at her mobile and pretended someone was calling her. She said slowly " I need to go my husband is calling." Priti smiled and stood up. Priti " I can understand but you must inform me next time." Tina nodded. But she was too scared. When she returned home, she immediately called Kedar and told him all. Kedar " Just ignore those voices." " I can try but what about soundproof room." Suddenly Kedar felt confused. Kedar " But due to Air conditioner our room is soundproof didn't it?" Tina took deep breath. She sensed that he was right. How could she hear voices in soundproof room. She shivered with fear. Tina " I don't understand why did I hear those voices!!" She began to shiver and started crying. Kedar " Just relax. Let me check. Call me when you hear voice." She agreed. She knew that she must told him whenever she heard voice. She was so tense. For that entire day she kept waiting but she didn't hear anything. She was so frustrated. When Kedar came, she told him all. He started laughing. Kedar " Priti must have chatted with her psychiatrist so it was over." Tina smiled. She liked this idea too. " You are right. It will be over now." Tina smiled. She thought that everything would become perfect soon. She smiled happily. She went to sleep peacefully with hope that she would work perfectly next day. She was so pleased about all. She was seeing totally promising future for herself now. She could work peacefully. That entire night she kept having positive dream of hopeful future. She jumped with joy on every moment. She was so happy regarding all. Next morning when she woke up even kids noticed her smile. They kept joking on her. She liked it all. She felt that she was finally free from curse. She was going to work that day.
Tina opened her computer and she started typing. She heard screams of that small girl again. She was so shocked. She was drinking coffee but entire hot coffee fall on her lap. She stood immediately. She managed to escape from burn by standing under shower with clothes. It was so frustrating and embarrassing. She started crying under that shower. She didn't understand why did she wanted to cry. It was not her problem. Her neighbour was one with problem. Then she went to mirror. She watched herself. Then she sensed that her eyes had same hunted look like Priti. But it was impossible. Her family was perfect. She knew that her kids were alive and healthy. But she knew still she was hearing voice in soundproof room. Then she suddenly remembered recorder of her mobile. She started it. But that voice was stopped. She was so confused. Then she understood. She must start working. She sensed that whenever she worked only then that voice started to come. She went near computer and started work. It immediately began to come. She recorded all. She began to hear all but she was so confused. Then she called Kedar told him all. He tried to calm down her. But she was so scared. She sensed that nothing was working. She knew that her voice was imaginary. She started to hear them just like Priti. She wanted to stop them but nothing was working. She started to put cotton in her ears with hope that it would stop them but it didn't. She began to feel so upset. She started to hit every object she could locate. She didn't sense what she was doing. She was destroying entire room. She wanted to destroy all in that room. When Kedar came in room, it was already destroyed. Tina was screaming in strange way. He tried to control her but it was useless. He immediately called his family Doctor who clearly sounded confused. But he came as soon as possible. By then Tina managed to break everything that was possible from room. Kedar was praying to God that kids didn't come to see this drama. Doctor looked shocked. But then he injected her. She started to feel sleepy. They managed to take her to bed. Family Doctor " We must call psychiatrist. I feel admitting her to hospital is wise." " But this is happening for first time!" " I know but do you want to see repetition?" Kedar shivered. He was feeling pain on those spots where she pushed him. He immediately called psychiatrist. Doctor agreed to send ambulance. Then she was taken away in sleep. Kedar was happy that no one heard entire drama. When they reached to Hospital Kedar told all to psychiatrist. But Psychiatrist went to chat with Tina. He talked with her for long time and finally he came out. Psychiatrist took deep and said. Psychiatrist " I don't feel she told you everything." Kedar looked confused. Kedar " I don't get it." Psychiatrist " Did she ever mentioned that she visited psychiatrist before?" " No..no." " Then she didn't told you all. She had many troubles." " What kind of troubles?" " Well she was hearing voices for long time." Kedar looked shocked. " It all started since her parents objected her wishes, that's what she is trying to prove but I feel she might be suffering from Schizophrenia." Kedar was shocked. Kedar " How did we suppose to cure it?" " Well it is not exactly curable but we will tell you how to handle it." Kedar was shocked. He felt betrayed. But he had two kids and it was not time to think about it this way so he nodded. He started to listen to him. Kedar sensed one thing his life was going to become hard but he had no option so he decided to take it in his best way. He began to learn all. He wanted to try his best. But he couldn't able to shake away Tina's image which was throwing away things. He began to work hard to control his fear but he knew that he needed to do it all. So he forced himself but listen as if it was normal. After all he needed to survive.
