Adventure story. 331. Tears in eyes

Namit started buying different things for kids. He knew that kids needed something. He had to act with affection as father. He needed to give more attention to kids. He knew that those kids were not that much attach to him. He never had much time for them. He needed to work hard for family. But now since his wife was out of picture, he had to pay more attention to them. He knew that he must had to show some affection towards his wife. Supriya was his wife for twenty years. She managed to bought up their kids until now. He needed to feel sorrows about her. He looked around. Suddenly he saw one of his friend. He smiled. But that friend didn't return his smile. He sensed that he was not suppose to smile. He needed to show sorrow. He just didn't understand why he was not giving right expressions. She was love of his life. He never liked any one except her. But he had to keep reminding himself about it again and again. He didn't understand why this was happening to him. He needed to feel sad. When he reached home, he saw sad faces. His parents were looking so sad. It seemed as if they all were still remembering funeral. But he had to remember too. It was not long time ago. His wife died just few days ago. He was still not feeling sad. It was strange. He knew that every one was sad. He went near kids. He gave them smile. But he sensed that they were still crying. His Mom"Raju still kept calling her name. It was so hard for kids." His Dad " They were so young. Her death was not sudden but still we all expected her to survive for some time." He kept nodding. He kept trying to feel sad. It was so strange. He never felt sad. He kept feeling hurt. He just kept feeling hurt on every point. He kept hoping that he would feel normal after some time but it was not working. He just sat on dinning table. He asked for food. His Mom served him a simple food. He was so irritated. He wanted to get over it. But he needed to feel sad about her. But he was not feeling sad and every one wanted him to feel. He felt that it was lot better in office. In office they expected him to work like normal person. He worked there. Every one admired his capacity to moving over trouble. Some even taunted but others felt that he was acting with professionalism after all they didn't want to do extra work. It was not right. He needed to work hard for family but he needed to feel sad for his family too. He was not  feeling as he supposed to have towards family. He started eating. He could see that kids were sitting with sad faces. Namit " Come on. Let's go to garden." Raju didn't seem interested but his daughter Sheela agreed. His Mom " You are right. They must get over their sorrows." Namit nodded. Truthfully he was not sensing any sorrows at all. He was perfectly at peace. Soon kids got ready. He took them in garden. He started suggesting sports to them. At beginning they were not willing but then slowly they started playing games. He felt so happy. In this place he could act like normal person. He could act like a free person. He was not widower here. He sat on bench. Then a lady sat near him. Her boy was too naughty. She kept trying to hold him to tie shoes but he didn't let her. He stood up and took hold of him. Soon she managed to tie his shoes. She smiled " Thanks a lot." " It's my pleasure." Then that boy went ahead running. That lady sat beside him after searching for other place. He gave her smile. She asked " Where is your wife?" " She is cooking at home." Namit just told this to her without thinking. On that point he felt as if it was perfect answer. That lady " Your wife is so lucky to have helpful husband like you. My husband never help me this way. I have to do all." He just nodded. He sensed that he did worst mistake. That lady kept talking about her family. But he didn't say a word. He just kept nodding time to time. It was worst feeling for him. He sensed that something was wrong in his attitude why did he lied to her. He wanted to tell her that his wife was dead but he didn't want to. He just kept listening to her. After some time kids came back, he took hold of their hand and said " Let's go home. Your Mom is waiting for you." Both kids looked confused. But they didn't say anything. He sensed that they started crying slowly. He just kept ignoring them. He knew that he managed to hurt them.
     When Namit came home, kids were crying. His Mom asked them " What happened?" Raju told everything to her. His Mom looked at him with sorrow. Then she took Raju in arms and started patting him. She turned to Namit " I know it is hard for you but you need to accept." He was so shocked. " What is hard for me? I am just fine Mom. Look at me. I am even not crying since I don't feel that sadness. I am not at all concern about her. I just don't understand why I am not telling that." He suddenly began to feel strange pain in head. He decided to skip that subject. " Forget it Mom. It is not that important." His Mom nodded. He could see tears in eyes of his Mom. He didn't understand why did they needed to remain sad all time. He wanted to smile too. It was so frustrating. He was feeling so tired. He kept hoping on each point that some day they would stop sympathizing about her. He didn't need this sympathy. He was not sad at all. He was just fine. He gave smile to his Mom. " I need to eat food." His Mom looked confused. " But you have eaten your dinner few moments ago. But kids needed to eat now. Do you want to eat more?" He looked confused. He didn't understand why did he asked for food. He was not that much hungry. Today he was talking confused way. He decided that it would happen to every one on some point. He started laughing. " I was joking. I am going to watch TV. Tell Supriya to take kids to sleep." He was so frustrated. He kept talking in wrong way it was so frustrating. He kept telling wrong things. He controlled himself and said " Mom will you please help me with putting kids to sleep?" She nodded and went away. He was so glad that she went away without uttering a word. He wanted to think quietly. He sat before TV when suddenly his Dad appeared near him. Dad " So how was your day?" He was so upset. He wanted to relax but no one was giving him time for it. " Perfect. So Dad what about you? I feel you might need to go back to your business again. " His Dad looked little angry. His Dad always get angry when he suggested him to going back. But he needed his house just for himself. He wanted privacy. His parents kept pushing him. Specially his Dad. He was so bossy sometimes. Dad " We will go as soon as you find a babysitter." He was so shocked. He never thought about this problem. So it became clear to his parents were forced to live there. He smiled " Don't worry. I will keep them in day care. We have nice one near our house. It's name was angel. It was wonderful. Kids will be better off there with other kids." His Dad nodded. He immediately took up  and went in his room .Namit sensed that he hurt him. But he needed his house just for himself. Next day his parents packed up. They went away. His Mom was not convinced. His kids were crying. He sensed one thing that his kids wanted them to stay there. But he wanted to his house just for himself. When they went away, he started managing all. Soon he sensed that it was not easy. He needed to handle kitchen too. Kids were too small so they were not much helpful in any thing. They just kept spreading things around in house. He was so frustrated. He decided that he needed a maid. He called an agency. He was so tense since on that day he managed to burn entire food. He had order it from outside. Then he asked in office about cook when he got number of this agency. He called for maid. He had to tell them that he wanted some one who came early. Then finally one day a lady came. She was young and enthusiastic. She asked about his wife. He supposed to say Supriya was died. But once again his lips went again his will. He said " She went outside." " Where? To visit her parents?" He nodded. Then he immediately changed conversation. He began to tell about food. He also gave her extra money since he told her to drop kids in school. Then she was even supposed to take them to day care. She agreed to all. He was so happy. But he didn't tell her truth about Supriya. He wanted to but he just couldn't then he felt it was better since due to it that maid will not deny job. He didn't want her to think that he was alone in house. He managed all in perfect way for a month. He felt that every thing was settled. But then he started to sense that he was feeling scared. He needed to tell truth to maid but he didn't. He kept avoiding it. He knew that it was not hard. He would say it in few days. He decided that maid needed to feel confident about his attitude. But one month was enough. Still he didn't tell her any thing.
     Namit's Maid Laxmi was doing her job daily. Every thing was perfect. But soon Laxmi sensed that her madam was not going to come. It was so strange. She knew that no one stayed in parent's house for a month. She was expecting madam to come in a week. She looked around. She couldn't see photo frames of happy family. She just saw a photo of one lady who had died. She looked at her with attention. It was strange that there were not any other photo in house. She began to suspect that she might be wife but then she felt that it was not possible since why did her employer lie to her about this. Then she began to feel that she might be that lady who caused troubles between husband and wife. She liked that idea. She felt that Namit must be getting divorce. On such situation they never told truth. She knew that there must be some juicy details but she thought that it was wrong to ask for them. She waited for month but when nothing came out finally one day she asked Raju "Don't you miss your Mom?" Raju looked sad and nodded. " Then why didn't you call her?" " Since I can't. She went away to God. They burned her." Laxmi was shocked. Some one burned his mother. She began to feel more scared now. She never thought that Namit might be involved in murder. But she knew one person who looked as nice as Namit and he killed his wife for his mistress or property. She was so confused. She could able to guess motive. But one thing was clear that Raju saw people burning his Mom. " Who burned her?" " I don't know. I feel Dad did it. My Auntie was telling that we must burn her as soon as possible or she might smell so we did it quickly." Laxmi was so shocked. That kid was explaining murder. But she thought that she must not rely just on his statement. His younger sister Pinky came there. She called Pinky and asked " Did you saw your Mom burning too?" Pinky started crying slowly. So it was clear that she knew all too. Laxmi " Pinky don't cry. Just tell me all about it." Pinky " Mom got sick. She started to coughing every day. Dad was getting so upset. He couldn't stay home whole time. He kept screaming on her that she should go to Doctor. One day we went to Doctor. Then she came back. She cried. She told Dad. Then Dad didn't say anything. Dad just kept going ahead like every day. When they burned Mom even on that day Dad didn't say anything, he just kept doing. Every one cried except Dad." Raju " Shh..my Dad is brave man. He never cry." Pinky " But he cried when he lose promotion." Raju gave angry look to Pinky. He sensed that Pinky was creating bad impression for Dad. He needed that maid to stay with them. He knew that she was not like his Mom. She didn't love him like mother but still she at least cooked for them a decent lunch and dinner. He didn't want to eat Dad's burned food. Raju gave her angry look. Raju " Dad loved Mom. He didn't cry because he wanted to take care of us. He wanted to support us." Then suddenly Laxmi sensed her mistake. He was talking about his Mother's funeral. Laxmi " But your Dad told me that she is alive." Pinky " Dad always lie like that. He always kept telling us not to lie." " What your Mom is dead? and still your Dad is telling that she is alive!! Did you tell this to some one?" Raju "My Dad is staying here with just us now. Few days ago he sent away our grandparents." " Why?" Raju looked confused. He never thought this way. He felt so nice while chatting with that lady. Laxmi was not his Mom but still she was acting like good help. He started to think with logic with her help." I don't ask him." " But don't you feel that you needed your grand parents when your Mom was dead?" "Well I don't understand why Dad is behaving in such way? He kept moving ahead as if Mom is alive. But he knew it. He is so strange." " But you must talk about it to your grand parents. He is not fine." Raju nodded. " But I don't know their mobile number." Laxmi " You can search in mobile." Pinky " I know he had it in contacts." Laxmi smiled. " So tomorrow I will come with mobile. You need to find number." They nodded. Laxmi was so nervous but she decided that she must fight for those kids. That day when she went home, she was scared. She felt that kids were not safe with Namit. But she just went away.
     When Namit came out of office, he went to day-care to pick kids from there. He picked up kids. But from beginning he sensed that something was totally wrong. He felt that kids were not normal. He didn't know kids that much but he never saw Pinky so secretive. She kept talking slowly with Raju. Namit didn't want to talk to them so he just kept quiet. He hoped that they would handle issues between themselves. It was so strange. He was father and still he didn't want to become part of his kids life. He never wanted run away from responsibilities. It was so hard but he had to manage it. He started learning different things from life. First thing he learned that he was not good father. He didn't want to entertain kids. He just decided to ignore them. Kids were happy about it. Raju kept telling Pinky their plan. Today their Dad crossed limit. He didn't even told their teacher that his wife was dead. Today during lecture Raju started chatting with his teacher. Then he slowly told his troubles at home to his teacher. His teacher asked " So did your Mom got little fine?" Raju " But she is dead Madam." He found it hard to control his tears. His teacher was shocked. " What? Your mother is died? But your father didn't tell this. He said that you needed vacation since she was sick. He never told that she was dead." Raju was so shocked. His teacher was helpful to him to reduce his sorrows. But he felt so hurt that his Dad didn't even told truth to school. He sensed one thing that his Dad needed help. So they planned to take their father's mobile. Namit took them home. Then he went in his room. He was feeling so hot due to heat. He decided that he should take shower. He went in bathroom when he went there. Kids took his mobile. They started to searching for numbers but they just managed to confuse themselves. Pinky started to advice and Raju didn't like it. He started to scream on her. Soon their discussion turned into argument which would create worst noise. Namit was taking shower. He was so upset. He started screaming name of Supriya loudly. Kids stopped arguing. But he didn't. He kept screaming name of Supriya. He started telling her that she had to answer him. He was so angry. He began to scream so loudly. He soon managed to lose balance. He did every thing for her. But she was not coming for him. He didn't remember his any mistake. He never cheated on her. He kept asking her what was cause of her attitude. But no one was answering. Raju started shivering. He sensed some thing was wrong. He didn't able to find mobile number of his grandparents. He was so confused. He suddenly remembered that he could call his neighbor. He ran towards their house with Pinky in tow. When he reached there, he started ringing bell. Auntie opened door. She was so shocked when kids told entire incidence. She ran inside. She started calling watchman. Soon watchman started running towards them. Auntie opened door. She could clearly hear Namit was calling his dead wife. He was not fine. She ran towards bathroom. She was at door. She knew that it could be embarrassing. But she knew that it was emergency. She started to try to open when Watchman came. He was also shocked. She told him to open door. Then she called her Doctor who told her ambulance number. She called it. Then she once again joined mission of opening door. Then soon other people from society also came for help. Men were not in hope but they managed to call people from shop. Then finally ambulance came. By then door was opened. Namit kept out in worst condition. Auntie was so shocked to see him screaming in pain and blaming Supriya for troubles. She sensed one thing that she must call his parents. She had their number. She called them. She felt that they were lucky that this happened in evening not in night otherwise kids would be in worst situation. She called their grandparents.
   Namit was shocked when he woke up in hospital. He soon sensed what he had done. He didn't control his mind. He kept calling Supriya but he never missed her that much. He never even cried for her. It was so strange. He didn't understand what was wrong with him. He never sensed that he was missing Supriya. He always felt so sure that he was fine without her. But now he sensed that it was all so wrong. He was not normal at all. He was missing his wife. He kept screaming his name. He remembered that those embarrassing moment of fall. It was so shameful. He started crying when Doctor entered " Why are you crying?" He told all. " So what is big deal? Human beings were not born with clothes if you fall down in bathroom, you can't put on cloth. It is exceptional situation." "But it was so wrong. " " What is wrong in it? In real life we can't put censor in such situation. People get sick they fall and they cry. Why don't you accept it? Why did you want to become super human?" " Super human? I don't want to become super human. But it was too embarrassing." " Can't you see this ward? Most of them had fallen in embarrassing situation." " But they did keep calling their wife and she didn't come." Namit looked away. Doctor looked tense. Doctor " Did you still believe your wife is alive?" Namit said " No" with heavy voice. Doctor smiled. " That is great relief so you know this fact that she is dead." " Yes but I can't say it and on some point I kept getting confused." " It happens to many after trauma of  this kind due to death of loved one. She was sick." He nodded. Namit " I was not that serious but she .." He felt pain his head and he changed subject " Where are kids?" " Kids?!! They are with your parents. " He smiled. " Great so they are in safe hand. It was my mistake. I just needed to stay with my family." Doctor nodded. " You can keep maid to help them." " I got one. I am sure that she could stay for entire day." Then Namit looked at himself. Namit " In this condition I am hardly helpful to them. When will I able to go to office?" Doctor " We will discuss that later?" " No..No..I want to talk to my Boss. I must call him." Doctor gave him mobile. Namit called his Boss and told him all " Sir I am so sorry. Please don't fire me." " Namit?!! Are you out of your mind? Every one get sick. When you will become little okay you can come in office. We will not pay but you will not lose job." " Thanks Sir." Namit took breathe of relief. " And remember your insurance." " Yes sir. It will pay bills." " Yes. I will call that company. You don't need financial burden now." " Thank you so much." " Don't worry. We are human beings. We suppose to help each other." Then Namit disconnected call. Namit " I am so happy. I am not going to lose job." " You are never going to lose and you don't need to stay in hospital for long time. They will give you proper way to walk. Then you can go back to office soon. But you must take psychiatric treatment." Namit nodded. " I sense it. I am feeling so upset every day. At beginning I felt that I don't love Supriya at all. Then suddenly I began to sense that I can't talk about her..you know." " I know." " Then I was calling her and she was not coming. She had to come." Suddenly Namit once again began to talk as if she was alive. But then he controlled himself. Namit started holding his head. " My head is paining. Something is wrong with me." Every thing will become fine." Namit did as Doctor told. When Doctor came out Namit's parents were waiting outside. His father " What happened to my son?" Doctor " He is suffering from post traumatic symptoms. He needed psychiatrist's treatment." His father looked so nervous. He began to shake with sorrow. His Mom " He had two kids to take care of. If he become mad like that who will take care of those kids." Psychiatrist started smiling. Psychiatrist " He is not mad. Just small problem due to death of wife. It is totally normal. He will be normal in few days. Soon you will see him laughing again. Just before laughing he needed to cry for his wife. " His parents nodded. His father " I need to arrange money." " No need. Namit will do that. He will start to going in office soon too. He needed to move ahead. He is not going to stay in hospital for long time." His parents smiled again. His father " He could go in office?" " Of course. He is fine. It happened just on that impulse. He will be okay." Then psychiatrist went away. His parents ran inside. They felt so happy when Namit talked with them in normal way. They could see little bit sorrow on his face now. He was looking sad. They felt such relief. Parents normally hated when their children became sad but these parents wanted to see sorrow in their son's eyes since sad incidence had happen so no use to deny it. Namit needed to accept sorrows. They all sat together planning ahead their life together. They decided that they would stay with Namit until he didn't settle. They couldn't let him live alone. They began to make plan for crisis in their life. They needed to fight them together in life.
