Charu's caged life
Charu started to create positive dream in life. She was feeling so depressed. She was working for long time for company. But her ideas were never got approved. She was waiting for a day when it would happen. She began to study it properly before presenting. Suddenly she felt touch on shoulder. She screamed due to fear. It was her boyfriend Tushar. Tushar laughed. Tushar “ You are too much!” Charu gave nervous smile. Charu “ I was just trying new idea!” Tushar laughed on her & said “ You & your idea! Why don’t you complete your normal work?” She felt so nervous. She said slowly “ I was just trying..” tear was already started to form in her eyes. She began to get so nervous. She started to look in mirror. She was watching herself carefully. She felt different. Tushar was looking so handsome while she was not much beautiful. Her life was so full of success two years ago. She started as Tushar’s junior. But then she worked on her idea. She got promotion. She became Tushar’s subordinate. But after it suddenly all became complicated. She began to feel as if she was not getting much success. Tushar kept telling her to not try new ideas. She just needed to keep working on old one. But she was not ready. She started to dislike Tushar too. She was no longer interested in going out with him. She was uncomfortable in his presence. She didn’t understand why. Even today she was scared that he might suggest for going out. But Tushar said slowly “ I don’t want to hurt you but I need to bring this matter up. I don’t have much options…my parents decided to fix my marriage. Actually that proposal is good for entire family. We have dated but..” she suddenly felt so relieved. “ Come on! Few dates doesn’t mean big sort of commitment! I understand perfectly. You can go your way.” She smiled. Tushar seemed so happy. Tushar “ Thanks.” Luckily they had not shared any costly gifts. She wanted to feel pain of break up. But she didn’t feel them. On the day she got promoted. She sensed that Tushar started to dislike her. Sometimes she just wished that she didn’t got that promotion. But then she needed that money. Her salary was increased. In her house she was alone. Her brother was settled in his house. Her brother was not interested in her life. Her parents were dead for long ago. So she had her independence & she didn’t want to marry. But she was not living exactly alone. Her Uncle was living near her. She didn’t like him or his family. Her Uncle kept coming to her daily. He kept telling her that she needed to sell this house soon. His Uncle wanted to give all to some builder. She was not ready to sell her house. Her Uncle was not land lord still he kept behaving like one. When Tushar came once to meet her, her Uncle instigated her to go out in hotel with him. Her Uncle wanted her to get married & left that house. It was so frustrating. She didn’t understand why she listened to him. Tushar was never suitable for her. She never admired him. But she was so confused. She felt so supportive due to Tushar. Now she was alone. But Tushar was criticising her again & again. But she might deserve it. She was so confused about her capacities. She didn’t understand what her strength or what was her weakness. She just felt that she was totally weak. She felt so sad. She didn’t understand what she supposed to do. Due to once again turned back to her work. She began to do new idea. She completed it & send it to Boss. Then she returned to her normal work. She needed to move ahead with bravery & she decided to do it. She knew for other people it was not big thing. She was not engaged & she had just few dates but in her mind she was so scared. Her family might blame her for this. She supposed to adjust & she tried. Her brother once even said to her “ You did big mistake by giving your project on your own to Boss. Your future husband needed to have right to check it. You should have presented it to him. Then he could have given permission then only you could have presented it to Boss.” She was so shocked. She said “ It was my project & I got right to decide what I wanted to do with it. I finally got promotion due to it.” “ But this will upset Tushar! You need to respect him.” She felt so uneasy by these statements. Once again today she knew that she would be blamed for not giving enough respect to him.” She looked towards her work. She concentrated & kept doing it. Then finally time of lunch hour came. She was sitting alone in her room. Normally she used to join Tushar but now it was not option. When one junior Mohit noticed that she was eating alone he asked “ Madam you are not with Tushar Sir?” She gave sweet smile & said “ He is getting married so it will look odd if I joined him.” Mohit laughed. “ Madam there are lots of married women & men who eat lunch together here! It’s not like going on date. Future wife of Tushar Sir seem like insecure lady.” “ I don’t know her. But I decided to stay away anyway.” Mohit laughed & went away. After that she peacefully ate her lunch without disturbance. She was just cooking for herself so her lunch was perfect. She told herself that everything was fine. But still she was feeling so cold & nervous. She didn’t understand why did she was feeling that way. She forced herself to concentrate on lunch. Then she sensed that she was scared since now she might needed to find someone new as her life partner. Tushar was not her choice. Tushar came after her. He was boss so he dominated her on each step. She was so happy by his extra attention. She felt that he was someone great. He was someone who deserved extra attention & appreciation. He used her feeling in perfect way & managed to create place in her life. She never understood how did he managed to boss so much on her that she agreed to marry him? But it was true. She just knew one thing during those years that she must stay under Tushar & she was not so happy even now to get rid of him. She was scared to move ahead. But she wanted to do it. She once again concentrated on her lunch. She didn’t want to think about her past now. She wanted to get over it. She started eating with determination.
Tushar was eating in his room with his friends. He was little upset when he sensed that Charu was not coming. He didn’t like it. He knew that he was not marrying her but that didn’t make him less important in his life. He gave her first chance. He taught her. She was nothing without him. But still he sensed that she decided to ignore him. This all friends were clapping for him. They were congratulating him on his fixed marriage. None of them seemed to miss Charu. It seemed as if they didn’t expecting her there. Tushar slowly sensed that he needed to call her. It would look odd if she didn’t come. He called one junior. Slowly Dinesh came inside. Clearly Dinesh was very scared. Dinesh asked “ Yes Sir do you call me?” “ Yes..yes where is Charu? I want to break this news to her too.” Dinesh looked nervous. Dinesh “ I don’t know Sir. Do you want me to go & invite her to join on lunch?” Now this was worst. Tushar screamed “ No need. She is not my girlfriend that I will invite her on Lunch?” All remaining staff started laughing. “ Dinesh is always like this. He never do anything properly until you don’t explain properly.” Other person “ Just take some sweets give it to her & told her this good news.” Now Tushar loved this idea. Tushar said “ Wait.” Tushar gave some cash. “ Purchase some rose barfi & give it to her with this news.” Then he gave some more cash & said “ Purchase some for yourself too. You need to remember that you met big heart rich Boss like me!” He literally threw cash towards Dinesh. Dinesh couldn’t able to catch so it fall down. Dinesh felt so nervous. He started to gather it. They all enjoyed it. Then finally Dinesh ran out with cash. Dinesh was so frustrated. He just collided with Mohit. Mohit laughed & asked “ Why you are running like that? Did your wife ordered something?” Dinesh gave him angry look & said “I am not in mood of joke.” “ What happened?” Dinesh told entire incidence in details. Mohit was so shocked. Mohit “Madam knew all. This man is trying to mentally harass her. She is so wise & intelligent.” “ He is just useless arrogant. I am so happy that she is not marrying him. I mean Mohit you like our Madam don’t you.” Mohit gave shy smile. “ Nothing like that!” Mohit was trying hard to control his emotions. He loved Charu. But he knew that she never looked towards him. He didn’t want to disturb her but now a days he began to feel concerned for her. He didn’t like Tushar’s attitude towards her. He didn’t like Tushar at all. Tushar was not nice person. Dinesh suddenly began to discuss. “ I am telling you that man is mad.” Mohit asked stupidly without second thought “ Who?” Dinesh gave him angry look. “ Stop your day dreaming. That Tushar is mad man. I heard him talking alone in his room for hours. Since Charu Madam got this promotion he was talking about killing her daily.” Mohit was shocked now. “ Are you out of mind? No one kill other person for promotion!” “ I told you what I heard.” Mohit shivered. Mohit decided that he needed to check out himself. He knew very well that Tushar had mental issues. Tushar closed his room & kept talking to himself. Many people of office told him. He didn’t understand why Tushar was never got fired. Someone told him due to his connections. Tushar brought many customers for company. He was so important. No one dared to question him. When they decided to approve Charu’s idea last time it was due to insistence of board of director. It was by just one chance. Now Tushar was making totally sure that Charu must not get that sort of chance again. Mohit was so confused. Mohit decided to warn Charu any way but before that he needed to confirm. Mohit decided to say something but Dinesh was already gone. Mohit knew that he needed to do some inquiries. Mohit decided that he would ask person who sat next to Tushar’s room. He immediately began to search for that man. Finally he located that man. Mohit tried to get friendly with that man. This man clearly didn’t like it. He just asked angrily to Mohit “ Why you are here? Did that Charu Madam send you?” “ Charu Madam why?” “ She is after Tushar Sir so she was trying to spy on him.” Now Mohit was shocked. Mohit “ Who told you that?” “ I saw that man!” “ You saw?” “ Yes..yes he was standing on road for hours. Finally when Tushar Sir told to check out. I went out & asked. That man told he was brother of Charu Madam. Clearly Charu Madam told him to discuss about marriage. But I don’t feel that way. I feel he was spying. He didn’t come out. He just kept watching.” Mohit was so shocked. Mohit couldn’t believe this. Mohit was totally sure that Charu didn’t act like that. But then he knew that this person couldn’t be lying. Then that man said “ After that Tushar Sir decided to find wife which will suitable. I will not blame him. Charu Madam’s brother is so insulting towards me. I can’t imagine anyone marrying his sister.” Mohit said “ It is not mistake of sister.” “ Then why don’t you marry her?” That man said in anger. Then suddenly that man returned to his work. Mohit noticed time & sensed he needed to return to his work too. So Mohit came back. Mohit was so confused. He never talked with Charu’s brother. In fact he never visited her family. She was boss. But when he looked inside her room. He sensed that she was working hard. He suddenly began to sense that Charu was stuck between to wrong sort of men. Tushar was not nice & her brother was worst too. She didn’t understand what she supposed to do. Mohit began to understand her situation. He decided to help her. She deserved his help. He sat on his table. He decided that he would try to push ahead her idea. Last time he managed to do same thing. But he was not sure that it was possible this time. He couldn’t help every time. On that time his mobile rang. It was same one who helped him last time with Charu’s idea. “ Congratulations. Once again Charu’s idea won.” Mohit laughed happily. Mohit decided to tell it personally this time. When he came inside, Charu looked towards him with strange type of fear in eyes. She had odd sort of fear in her heart.
Mohit smiled & said slowly “ I want to tell you they like your idea.” Charu smiled happily. She was beginning to talk when her mobile rang. It was her brother. Her brother started to scream on her “ Why did Tushar decided to marry other girl?” She said slowly “ I don’t know.” “ Then ask him?” “ I don’t want to marry..” “ You need to marry! Uncle want to sell house. You can’t live there. You don’t have enough salary to buy new house.” Charu was on verge of nervous break down. She was so tired. She didn’t want to marry anyone. She said “ I will not leave that house. Let them do whatever they want!” “ Stupid girl! You are such burden. Whatever you earn just get wasted in basic things of that house. Your earning is not much. You don’t understand how soon you will exhaust all investments. Finally you have nothing. Then don’t expect my help.” She didn’t say anything for sometime. Then she slowly added “ Don’t worry. I will not become burden on you.” She disconnected call & started crying. She knew that Mohit was there. She didn’t want to express herself but she couldn’t stop it. Slowly Mohit began to talk. Mohit told her all about her brother. Then he slowly added “ Tushar is rich but he also have mental issues..” “ I know. I don’t like any of them.” She suddenly began to cry again. Mohit didn’t understand what he supposed to do. He wanted to propose her but he couldn’t. He just decided to go out. He waited for sometime. But he sensed that slowly voice in her room was stopped. He didn’t like it. He slowly opened door. He was shocked when he saw her fainted on floor. He tried to wake her up. But then he sensed that she had drank something. He immediately called his own Doctor. Doctor instructed him to come to his clinic. Then slowly she was admitted to hospital. After discussion Cops came but when Mohit explained all. Cop said “ I will go only when you call psychiatrist.” Mohit agreed. Mohit totally forgot about office. He didn’t even sense that she was holding her in his arms & entire office saw it. Tushar was very angry about it. Tushar knew that she was once his girlfriend but still he felt as if he still owned her. He kept feeling his authority on them. He was so nervous. He needed to question Mohit. He suddenly began to feel she might be having affair with Mohit during this time. He was so angry. It was so wrong. He began to feel so nervous by this thinking. He started to call Charu. Mohit took that call. Tushar “ Where is Charu?” “ She is sick. I just admitted her to hospital.” “ What right do you have?” Mohit was so shocked. Mohit saw Cop was watching him. Mohit said loudly “ You have ditched her. You decided to marry other girl now you don’t need to interfere.” Cop snatched mobile from hand. Cop said in harsh voice “ This girl tried to do suicide. I like to meet you..” Tushar felt so scared. Tushar said “ I was just asking due to concern. I give you number of her brother…” Cop took it. Then Cop asked Mohit about her brother. Mohit told all without hiding anything. Then Cops said “ Let’s wait for her to wake up.” Then finally Charu woke up. She told all to Cop. Cop told her to get admitted to psychiatric ward for sometime. “ It’s best way to avoid mad brother.” Charu immediately agreed. Cops made legal arrangements to get permission. Soon Charu shifted to Psychiatric ward. Mohit took breath of relief. Then suddenly one man came. That man went directly to Mohit. “ Where is my sister?” Mohit felt so uneasy after watching this man. Mohit was not coward but still this man seemed like someone who managed to instigate fear. There was madness in that man’s eyes. Mohit asked “Who are you?” “ I am Charu’s brother! You have no authority to take her like that.” On this point Cop came. “ Your sister did attempt of suicide. This man did right by bringing her to hospital. Why did you want to hide it from law?” Suddenly Charu’s brother started looking nothing but useless man. Charu’s brother started to literally behave like some scared animal. All bravery he was showing off was gone. Charu’s brother gave nervous smile & said “ I don’t know much.” Cop said “ She is admitted in psychiatric ward. Do you want to study her legal case?” “ Case? I am not interested. I am getting late.” Charu’s brother literally ran away. Cop laughed. “ We saw many relatives like this daily. They just wanted to bully. They never truly cared for victims.” Then Cop looked towards Mohit. “ Do you truly want to help her?” Mohit nodded. Then Cop said slowly “ You need to take your time for convincing her for commitment. But if you ask me you need to at least start suggesting it. These people are around her just to use her talents. They wanted to keep her weak & this way they could use her talent as much as they want.” Mohit didn’t say anything. Mohit just said “ She need to get cured first.” Cop nodded. Cop “ I know. But they will discharge her in a week.” Mohit smiled happily. Mohit “ I will come to collect her.” “ But as whom? Her brother once again take over control. Tushar will need to back off since he is getting married but her brother will not stop.” Mohit nodded. Mohit was so frustrated. Mohit wanted to feel all in positive way. But Mohit knew that he was not lover of Charu. Mohit just said “ I try my best to help her.” Cop smiled & said “ All the best.” Cop went away. Mohit knew that his road to help Charu was hard but still he decided to take it. He told himself that he would try his best & went back in office to do his job & help to complete Charu’s new project too. His first help was he wouldn’t let her work suffer in her absence. He called for Cab & went ahead in hurry.
