Mitali's house
Mitali was studying carefully every document she got. She was purchasing property for first time. She didn't know much about it. She wanted to buy new house. She wanted to settle down in one peaceful house. She liked to purchase house which would complete her dream. She wanted to settle in pleasant house which should be far away from people. She wanted peace & quiet. This one had sea shore too. She wanted to live with happiness. She needed some nice property. She got it so cheap. She was little bit shocked. She called one lawyer friend. That lawyer didn't help much he just gave another number. Then she took appointment. She officially appointed that lawyer to check her property deal. She wanted all to be perfect. She didn't want to lose her money so she spend some amount on lawyer. She studied hard to achieve success in career. But now she wanted to relax. She wanted to spend life peacefully in her dream house. She never thought that she could get it. But she got it in cheap prize lawyer confirmed that it was perfect deal. She decided to go for it. She kept studying those documents again & again. She knew that it was perfect still. On that point she received call from her brother. Ravi didn't like her deal. Ravi didn't want her to purchase house. From beginning Ravi was against this purchase. She knew that Ravi wanted her to stay nearby. He wanted her to be available whenever he needed. She was not his maid but he treated her like one. It was so upsetting. She wanted freedom & to get it She needed house. She wanted to enjoy her life. She wanted to live peacefully & happily. She didn't understand why did her brother Ravi wanted to treat her like dust. She was going to buy that place on any cost. She was not planning to do any compromise. She kept reading documents. She knew that lawyer was planning to give her house & freedom. That house was so wonderful. She wanted to have it & she was not going to let no one confuse her. She knew that she needed to take that call. She took it. Ravi " So you did it what you want?" She said " Yes" with determination. She didn't want any confusion in her life. She wanted peace. Ravi started talking angrily " Fine! Then you are on your own now. I will not look in your matters.." as if he was looking in her matters. He always pretended to world & her as if he did many things. But when she started to count she just saw herself working for him while he was enjoying his life. He didn't seem to think about her. She didn't want him to pay attention to her instead of his wife but she wanted him to give her break. If he didn't have time for her it was okay but he must not have time to even taunt & abuse her. But he had it. He was always dominating her. She needed her freedom but he never gave it to her. It was so upsetting for her. She wanted to live normal life. She kept working so hard to keep her mind under control but he didn't let her do it. Ravi kept talking without waiting for her response. " If you lose money it is from your account so none of my business but be careful. You got that house cheap so it must be having some thing wrong in it. Why did you need to have that house?" She began to feel so happy to get that house. But Ravi was poisoning her mind without cause. " Ravi house is just perfect." She was so angry. He never cared for her & now he was pretending. He was so upset by all. He kept calling her again & again while giving warning after warning about this deal. She wanted to do it so she was doing it. She took paper in hand. Then once again she said with strength " I will do it. I want that house." She began to watch picture of that house again. She smiled with pleasure. She began to imagine wonderful life in that house. She wanted privacy. She could sit on that big soft sofa while watching river & village she could read book. It was important to read book with full concentration. She was so involved in that dream. She didn't sense that her door bell was ringing. Then when someone started knocking door, she came back in reality. She smiled. Suddenly she began to see everything positively. She started to dream life in that bangalow. It was wonderful sign. She opened door. Her watchman was standing outside. He gave her letter which was regarding putting her present flat for sale. She was doing it. She was hiding it from Ravi. Ravi wanted her to keep that flat. He wanted it for his family. He was thinking just about himself. But she was not going to let him get everything. She wanted to sell this house. She asked society secretary for help. She decided to find customer. Society secretary kept helping her. It was so hard for her to find customer. Even today secretary sent letter to be pasted outside some association where they hang advertisement for purchase & sell goods. She was so scared that Ravi might notice that advertisement. She didn't want to get involved in argument with Ravi. She pasted notice of selling flat there since no one was purchasing it. She didn't even plan to give her address to Ravi. She just wanted to stay away from them. She started packing. She planned every thing. Her truck of packer would come in hour & she was ready for it. She waited so long to get that freedom. Finally she got it. She had visited that bangalow once. It didn't have any neighbour. It had full privacy. Something for which she was dying. In this flat she had full privacy. But now she was irritated by her brother Ravi again & again. She wanted that house. She managed to pack long ago. She was waiting for her truck. She started running towards window & watching outside. She could see truck. She began to feel so happy. She hurried towards door. She worked hard to pack everything. She was so happy that finally she managed to go in her dream house. It was lucky day for her. She jumped in her car while that Truck followed her. She knew that she still had keys of her flat. She heard her mobile was ringing. She knew that it was Ravi. She decided to put her mobile on silent mode. She began to feel relaxed. She started her favourite music & she began to drive in relaxed way.
Mitali looked out of her car window. She started to look towards house. That house was so enchanting. She began to look towards windows. She saw in that house she had wonderful future. She began to concentrate on windows. She started to view them. She suddenly began to remember a movie in which they saw ghost in window. She started looking towards it. She began to concentrate. She was looking out. Then suddenly she sensed someone came between view of bangalow. She was so scared. She screamed. Then she sensed that it was truck driver of truck in which they were shifting goods. She sensed that driver was scared. He was calling his labours. She took deep breath. Then she controlled her emotions & opened car door. Then she once again turned towards it. Truck driver was still scared. She said " I don't know what went wrong it was not opening." Driver looked frustrated. Driver " These cars I tell my man to check it." That labour checked it. She didn't say anything just started going towards her new house. She opened door. It was full of smell of fresh pain & polished furniture. She knew that it was going to be great. She switched on light. She was so amazed. House was looking so beautiful. It seemed like something out of book she read every day. She went inside. Immediately those labours came inside. Entire furniture was settled. She looked around. It was decided by her already what she supposed to keep where. Her appointment an interior designer for it. It was perfect. They were looking around in house. It was beautiful. This house had new hopeful look. She needed to arrange many things but they were not enough. She sensed that settling a house was not job of one day. She began to open package of her things. She decided that she would arrange a cupboard first. She began to do it. But she got tired after one drawer. She had enough. She needed to find energy. But she didn't have much. She decided that she needed to fill drawer one by one. She packed them properly. That packing was looking excellent. She wanted cupboard was arranged as per her choice. But she never thought that she needed to work hard. She managed to fill just one drawer & it became over. She was too exhausted. She couldn't able to do more. She was so tired. She never thought that she was so weak. She thought that she could arrange all in one day. But she couldn't even manage to do few things. She started to feel frustrated. Then she suddenly sensed that someone was moving curtain. She ran towards it. Then she sensed that it was just wind. She smiled on herself. She didn't understand why she kept feeling that she would see someone. She kept seeing shadows. Those shadows were not something unknown. She could identify them with branches of trees. She could understand that with different shapes of trees. She kept seeing different images. She tried to understand them. She knew that they were just reflection of branches but still she shivered. She could sense that she needed to look out of window. She was watching it with full attention. She was looking out. She couldn't see anyone or anything but she was scared. She returned to her room. It had bed. They put empty bed there. She supposed to put mattress. But she didn't feel like it. She was planning to redecorate her house but she was so stressed. She didn't understand why. She went to kitchen. It was empty too. She needed to arrange it. She kept looking towards those items. She wanted to arrange all. She knew that she liked arranging. She smiled & started arranging kitchen. But she kept feeling someone was behind. She looked behind twice but she saw no one. She didn't understand why this was happening. Then she felt since it was new place. She totally forgot about her mobile until she didn't receive message of advertisement. She was so scared by it's sound. Then she sensed that her mobile was switched on. She was so sure that she switched it off. She wanted to avoid Ravi's call. She looked towards it. Ravi called at least 20 times. Ravi was too much. He kept calling until he didn't get bored. It was clear that he was not getting bored so soon today. She was so upset. She didn't want him to dominate her. She didn't understand how could she kept her mobile on. She took deep breath & started to dial Ravi's number. She had no option now. Ravi " You are selling our house?" She was confused. It was her house. But Ravi was not accepting it. " Ravi I am selling my house! I want money in bank for my remaining life." " Then rent it." " Who will collect rent?" She was not good at forcing people to give her money. It was her weak point. Ravi knew it very well. He often used it for himself. Ravi " I will collect it. I don't want you to waste that flat..." Then after sometime Ravi came with another option. Ravi " I will purchase it." She was shocked. She didn't understand what did she supposed to say on this. Ravi never gave her any money. His every gift was such limited that she couldn't even able to buy dress out of it & he was claiming that he would give her price of her flat? She knew that he would never give her anything but she knew that saying it would be useless so she said. " I am just trying to sell it. It need to search for customers. I want to judge it's price.." " Okay whenever you find this customer. Tell me first I will give you that price." She knew that he would never give her anything. He was just pretending since he wanted to keep that flat. She didn't have customer so she said " Fine. I don't feel that I will find any customer any way. I was just trying to judge value of property. That advertisement was free." Ravi laughed. Ravi " You are so smart. This way you will able to judge price then you can keep waiting until market doesn't get high enough.." she knew that he was admiring her since he wanted that flat. She didn't want to argue further so she added. " I did to judge price then I will slowly discuss renting. Now let me arrange this new house. I don't got buyer for that one any way so renting it out of question too." Ravi screamed happily " Yes..yes don't do anything about it." She just said " Bye." & disconnected call.
Mitali was feeling so tired next morning. She looked around. She felt as if she was sleeping in some graveyard. She didn't understand why she kept getting that strange feeling. But she was feeling it. Her entire house seemed like full of evil spirits. She was so upset. She didn't understand what was wrong. She didn't saw any thing entire time but still she was feeling stressed. It was so odd. She was so upset. She felt strange feeling. She didn't understand why she didn't feel same affection for this house which she felt on first day. Something important was missing. She didn't understand what was it but she knew that this house seemed to have some curse around it. She was so upset. She didn't understand what she supposed to do. She spent so much money. She began to sense on first day her adventure of trying to stay in this house was going to fail. She didn't want to cry but she slowly started crying. She worked so hard for entire life to get everything in proper way. But nothing seemed to work. She wanted to stay in her dream house but it started to look so scary. It seemed like her defeat. She didn't want to surrender before Ravi. She began to smile & started arranging all. But she kept sensing someone was near her. She was feeling so scared. She finally decided to go out. She was shocked when she sensed that she didn't manage to even see that sea shore. She started watching to sea. She began to feel strange pleasant effect. She started to sense that those tides didn't seem pleasant. They started to look scary. They seemed like storm. She didn't understand why did she bought that house. She ran out of it. She started looking around. Soon she found a small tea shop. She was sure that this house must be having some horrible history so she sat beside one villager who looked nervously towards her. She pointed towards that house & asked " Do you know history of that house?" He denied. She was now sure that horrible history of this house was hidden. She was so scared. Then she asked shopkeeper. Shopkeeper smiled & said " This house owner had two daughters. Both were happily married. He thought that he needed to live alone in old age. But his daughters took him abroad with them. At beginning he use to come here but now he is settled." She was so confused. No mystery! No death! She felt something was surely hidden. She took deep breath & asked " Then why did he sold it cheap?" " Because he didn't want to make payment of it's maintenance. His wife was so irritated by this house. Such big! It need lots of servants." She was so confused. Now she knew that house didn't got any mystery. On that point she noticed one lady. That lady smiled & she returned it. That lady " I stay in bangalow next to you. His daughters took him with them while my sons kept me here alone." That Lady started laughing as if it was joke. Then she changed subject. She started asking Mitali about her. Mitali was so scared. She told her everything. That lady & shopkeeper started laughing. " That house didn't have any mystery. It is totally normal." Mitali nodded. She started going out. But then that Lady came near her. She pushed one card in her hand. Then that Lady said " I needed him after son left me alone." Then that Lady just vanished. Mitali looked towards card. She was so shocked. It was card of psychiatrist. At beginning she was upset. Then she began to feel so scared. She decided to give one try to psychiatrist. She didn't want to accept her failure before Ravi. She went there. It was long process. She needed to wait. When she went inside,she told him all. Psychiatrist smiled. " This is very simple. Your brother planted fear in your mind regarding house since he wanted you to work for his convenience. You needed to break." " But I don't believe him?!" " No you don't. But you started to see those things when you needed to work hard for house. You wanted to do it alone. But you can't!" She nodded. Psychiatrist " Then call staff. Keep maid!" " But I don't need them." " No you need them in this big house. You can't do it alone. Even that shopkeeper said it." She nodded. She paid fees & went away but she didn't believe that she had such small problem. But any way she kept servants for few days. Soon she started to feel relaxed. She sensed that her house was perfect dream house again. She sensed one thing that day her mind was mystery & she didn't understand it. She felt lucky to get finally her peace of mind. She started her new life with happy spirit again.
