Knocking of a child
Ragini began to count days. She was taking diet just the way she was instructed. She never skip any thing told to her. She was so tense about it. She wrote it all in her calendar. In fact she purchased one calender for that purpose. She wanted to inspire herself so she took costly beautiful calendar from shop. She managed to tie it properly to wall of her room. She knew that she needed to reduce her weight. It was very important. She felt that if she keep poster of things which she would eat. She could insist that she was eating them to mind & it would reduce her weight. She wanted to become fit again. She was once used to be part of sports team. But now she started to get overweight. She began to face problem of obesity. She was so tense. She began to feel that she needed to understand proper diet. She started to feel that she ate wrong things. She was so sure that she managed to damage her health. She was so careful about her food until her issue didn't started with her sister. She was living on her old ancient house built many generations ago. She didn't want to sell it. She wanted to stay in it. At beginning all agreed to it. Her sister was okay with it. Every thing was perfect. But then one day in her neighbourhood there was horrible crime. She was so shocked. It was rape. It was so horrible. Still she remembered sound of crying from that house. She was shivering entire time in her house. She didn't come out of her house for long time. But she knew that she needed to. That victim was not unknown. She was one girl who used to study in her school. She was successful one. That victim was talented. She knew that this girl never saw failure. She managed to get great marks. She entered in career. She wanted. She even married to a perfect man. It was perfect life according to Ragini until those criminals didn't enter in her house. No one knew how did they managed to enter in such building where security was so tight. Then soon people began to sense that watch man was not there. They all began to sense that watch man with them. All atmosphere became so tense. She didn't wanted to go there to visit. But her another neighbour knocked door. Her neighbour said " We must visit them. Otherwise it will look odd to all. I don't know her that much. But you know her. You must go out & answer Cops." She nodded. She went there. She was lucky that she came late so dead body was already taken away. But still she could hear description by those who saw it. She didn't want to hear it. She wanted to shut down her eyes. But then suddenly unexpected thing happened little daughter of victim Mitu came running towards her. She hugged her & started crying. Ragini was so shocked. Suddenly entire media turned to her. They all started to asking questions. They all assumed that she was someone related. But Ragini knew that Mitu was too stressed so by mistake assumed her as someone else. Mitu never met her with such affection before. Then suddenly Mitu looked towards her face. Mitu threw her away in anger & went back in her house. She was so shocked. She didn't understand meaning of this entire drama. She just felt shocked & hurt. She knew that she could blame victims in this situation but she didn't understand why did she targeted this way! She never caused any pain to victim when she was alive. She felt so scared. She turned back & ran in her house. She started crying. She was so scared that news might start telecasting that incidence. But luckily she didn't come in camera. Since after pushing her that little girl went towards cameras & started screaming on them. Clearly Mitu was suffering from mental trouble. She was so happy that she was not part of that mess. But she called her sister. She told her everything. After this her sister started to calling her again & again. She was living alone. It was perfect for her but after that incidence her sister began to complaint daily. Her sister started to insist that she should sell that house. Her sister "You should shift in building. You can shift in my building or Auntie's building. I want you out of that risky area!" " What? This is our childhood house. You never thought this before...that it is so dangerous." " Since now world is changed. Your best friend.." " Stop it! She was not my best friend." " Really then why did her daughter Mitu hugged you like that!" " Since she thought I am someone else! I truly don't know her." Her sister took deep breath. Her sister " No you know her very well. But your memory doesn't want to accept it. Something is wrong with you due to that stress." She was so shocked. She truely didn't remember much about victim but that hug by Mitu managed to confuse all. They started to treat her like victim's best friend. Her sister began to imagine many things. Her sister started her imaginary story " Did you saw that film?" " Which?" "The one in which that serial killer first track one friend then another. At beginning they said..." She screamed " Enough! I don't want to hear entire story?" Her sister said angrily " I don't have much interest in telling it too. But you need to understand. You must shift.." She said with determination " I am not going anywhere!" She managed to disconnect call. But after it she started avoid everyone. She began to prefer to stay alone. She was so upset. Her sister was telling to sell her house. Every relative was asking just about murder then they asked did she feel scared! So they all wanted her to shift & she hated that idea. She didn't understand why did she stuck in mess due to an unknown girl. Victim was never her friend. She made biggest mistake by going there. After it she started staying inside her home. She began to spend more time inside. She began to eat more to reduce her tension. It was so wonderful until she didn't started to fall sick. Then Doctors declared that she needed to go for diet. She was so shocked. She never thought that she could manage to get so much weight. She was doing it sincerely. She was watching it when suddenly her door bell rang. She was so confused. She was not expecting anyone. She was so scared.
Ragini didn't understand who was coming at this time. It was nearly night. She went near door & asked loudly " Who is it?" She didn't hear any answer. Finally voice came. " Security Madam." She felt so scared. Her faith on security was vanished due to that murder. She asked from other side of locked door. " What is it? I can't open door now." Security " No problem Madam I just came to inform you that your daughter is waiting for you in garden. She had fallen asleep there." "What?! I am unmarried.." Security sounded confused. Then she decided to clarify. " I don't have any husband so no question of daughter." " Ohh I thought you might have daughter due to live in.." " No..no I don't believe in such things. I believe in marriage. But I am not in love so I am not planning to get married." " Sorry Madam. But there is girl sleeping on bench of garden. She asked about you. Then when I told her you are in house. She said I will go to Mom afterwards. Then she fall asleep." Now Ragini was shocked. Ragini " Maybe daughter of my some relative? I mean her mother might be planning to meet me." She started to show it normal. Security wanted truth so he asked " But you don't know about it! Am I wrong?" She needed to tell truth. " You are right. No one mentioned that they were planning to come." Then they both stood up nervously. They both felt scared to go out. They felt as if this girl might turn out to be a ghost. Then Ragini laughed & said " Whoever she might be but she couldn't be some ghost to vanish?" Security laughed too. But they stopped in their tracks when they found out that this girl was missing. Suddenly they began to feel that it was truely some ghost. Security shivered. Security " Madam do you feel sure that someone you know have daughter of around 8 years!" She was so shocked. Noone she knew had daughter of that age. It was so confusing. She needed to tell truth so she started telling. " I don't know girl of that age!" Security started chanting name of God. Clearly he was assuming ghost. Security " Do you know that woman who died on that day?" " Yes." " Her daughter was sick after it. She kept seeing her mother." Ragini shivered. Ragini " Let's go inside." Ragini went in her home. She began to feel so scared. She started drinking water without stopping. She was so thirsty. She began to sense as if someone followed her inside. She knew that no one could follow her. Ghost didn't exist but still she felt so scared. She began to chanting God's name. She was so scared when her door bell rang again. She shivered. She looked eyehole. She wanted to be careful. She saw no one. She was so scared. She went in her bedroom. She wanted to call Security but she felt so scared. If Security came there she needed to open door for him too, she didn't want to open door at any cost. She went in bedroom. Then she suddenly heard ring of her mobile. Security was calling her. Security " Madam that girl is on your door. She is claiming she is your daughter!" " Are you out of your mind? I don't have any daughter!" Ragini was so frustrated. Security " Madam you must come! Other bangalow owners were getting upset. In this system all bangalows were near by. If someone started hitting door of one bangalow clear person in other bangalow would get disturbed by it. She knew that she needed to go out. She took deep breath. She was shocked when she opened door & saw crowd of bangalow owners outside. Clearly that girl must be screaming on top of her lung. But she didn't see any girl. She decided that it was some cheap prank played by someone on her. She came out & said " I don't have any daughter so this girl was someone who send to harass me." " But that girl too small to plan such thing!" Ragini began to feel so angry. She attended many meetings of these bangalow owners association. They all knew her very well still they were questioning her. She asked angrily " Do you feel I can get pregnant & you all can't see it?" They all seemed confused. They knew that she was before them. One lady " She is right! We must call Cops. Someone trying to harass her." Another man " True young girl alone! By using this little kid they wanted her to come out then they can do anything.." now Ragini shivered. She didn't want to stay in that bangalow any more. It was truely scary. Ragini began to feel that this bangalow was not so much promising to stay. She was no longer attached to it. Ragini decided that she would phone her sister tomorrow. Then next day she called her sister. Her sister was happy on her decision. " Ragini you took right decision now I will just need to find buyer. It is not that hard. Do you have any friends who can find buyer?" Ragini was so shocked. It seemed as if her sister didn't have any one as buyer but still she was irritating her. It was so shocking. She didn't understand how could she manage to find someone who could purchase that bangalow. She never thought that she needed to do it too. She took deep breath & controlled her anger. " No I don't know anyone. So it is nearly impossible to find customer." Her sister started screaming on her like she always did when she get frustrated. It was habit of her sister. Her sister started throwing out her anger on everyone. " Don't talk with negativity. That is problem of your life. You always keep talking negative. I know you can surely find customer." " I don't need to. If you don't have customer, I will stay here. That seem like good option.." her sister immediately agreed. Her sister " You are right. It is nice comfortable bangalow. You can stay there." After it she made excuse & disconnected call. She was so upset. She was happy with her bangalow. But then all pushed her to sell it. Then after sometime they started to convince her that it was risky. Now she was convinced. But they were telling her to stay. They did it for what purpose she didn't understand. They just harassed her. She loved this house. She knew that she was scared but still she would stay since she knew one thing that this house was her only friend. She began to touch it's wall. She painted them with her choice. It all just belonged to her. She locked her door & went to sleep.
When Ragini woke up next morning with milk man's bell she was shocked. Someone was playing outside her door for entire night. There were lots of mud foot steps. She could see that it was disgusting. She didn't believe in ghost. But she felt sure that some human was trying to upset her. She decided that she needed to call Cops. She never called them but for entire night that girl was harassing it. She needed help. She called Cops & she even told Security to call few members who gathered last night. But no one came. She was so angry. They all came to scream on her but no one came when Cops were called. She decided that she would manage to do all alone. She was stressed from inside. She knew that she needed to go to Cops so she did it. She was planning to live alone she must do it. Then Cops came. She explained them all. Cops " Where are those society people?" She felt so scared. They didn't came. Now that Cop might not believe them. It was so scary. She didn't understand what she supposed to say. But Security told "Actually they are gone to work. But they can come to Police station in evening or night if you want." She knew that Security was lying no one was planning to come. But Cop gave one smile & said " Don't worry. Next time when that girl came Madam you can call me then I will surely meet these people outside your house! They just come & harass you but don't come to Cops. But you did it & now you can see how much benefit you can get out of it." Cops went away. She was so tense entire day. She kept eating. Her entire diet became useless on that day. She felt so tense. She didn't consider anything else. At night she locked her door. She went in her room. She started her TV. She kept watching. She even managed to control her fear. But then she heard knocking sound on her window. A little girl was screaming " Mom take me inside. Mom I will help you. Mom..Mom." she started to shiver. She didn't understand that kid was talking about which danger. She was alone in house. She began to feel so restless. She ran to mobile & called Cops. Then she called Security too. She was inside. That girl kept screaming for long time. Then Security started arguing with her. That girl was not going. Finally Ragini came out. She was shocked to see Mitu. She said loudly " What are you doing?" Mitu started crying. " You are not my Mom. Where is my Mom?" Ragini tried to make it as positive as possible. " Your Mom is already gone to heaven." Security looked confused. She slowly pointed towards victim's bangalow. Security understood. " Yes..yes she is happy in heaven." " No she is inside that house. I must help her. That fellow will hurt her.." Ragini never knew that Mitu was eye witness of incidence. Mitu must be crying outside. Mitu's Mom pushed her out of house. Then Cops came. They started to talk nicely with Mitu. They took her away. Cop slowly came towards Ragini. Cop " Really sad story. Her Mom died. Mitu saw it indirectly. Now her father doesn't want anything to do with her or victim. Her father said he want to move ahead with life. So this little Mitu is staying in house with grandparents. People don't visit them much except reporters. They didn't want to take risk. I mean they feel after visit that killer might follow them. But actually we found that killer. Still people keep avoiding. I hope you don't mind that girl." Ragini smiled & said " It's okay." She went to sleep but she was restless. That night once again Mitu knocked. Ragini came out with smile. Ragini was planning to console her. But Mitu pushed her away & ran. Ragini kept expecting Mitu's visit again. But Mitu never came after some time people told her that Mitu was sent to mental health care. After that Ragini never heard about her. Ragini still felt sometimes that Mitu might come & knock again. After few years one day one college girl came. Ragini felt confused. That girl kept watching inside her room. Then that young girl came. " You are not my Mom. Where is my Mom?" Ragini shivered. She understood that it was Mitu. She said peacefully " Mitu your Mom is in heaven." Then young girl got red with anger. " Are you out of your mind Auntie? My Mom is perfectly health! Is it bangalow 12?" " No..no this is 9!" That young girl nodded & went away. When that young girl went little bit away Ragini heard her saying " This old lady is mad. Someone need to stay with her." Ragini was so angry. She wanted to abuse her. But she said nothing. She knew that this would prove that she was mad. She just closed door & started crying. It always hurt when someone abuse her like that. But she couldn't escape it. She still assume wrong thing & manage to confuse. She went to mirror & started watching herself carefully. She felt that she was truly getting old. She might need psychiatrist. She decided to take appointment. But then she felt that she was fine. She went back in kitchen. She didn't want to go to Psychiatrist any way. She was living her life perfectly. She went to cook lunch. Then she understood what she needed to do. She called Mitu's grandparents. She planned to meet Mitu. She started cooking some nice meal for her. Mitu's Psychiatrist prefer visitors. Mitu came out of hospital twice but still she managed to go back there. Mitu's father was biggest trouble for her. Mitu's father didn't want to waste money on her after his second marriage. But still they managed to keep her for sometime. Ragini wished only if she could manage to finance but it was impossible. But on that day she decided to at least visit Mitu. She started getting prepared for it.
