Adventure story. 717. Pratap's dream date

                                             Pratap's dream date

Pratap was waiting for long time but he didn’t get call. It was so upsetting. He was hoping “Yes” from Tania but she didn’t reply. He was knowing her for long time. They were nice friends. He was not actually in love with her. But still he was expecting positive reply from her. After all Tanya also needed someone in her life. He knew that Tania was working hard to get one nice boy for date. He thought that she would approve him but sadly he sensed that she didn’t approve him. It was sort of shocking. But he still felt that she might had forgotten to call him. He was not in love with Tanya. She was not such beautiful girl. She was nice looking but there was nothing special in her. She was not even very smart. Her intelligence was limited too. He knew that when he selected her, he selected a woman who was not very smart. He decided to compromise. His mom came in room. He knew that his mom was going to ask about Tanya. His mom liked Tania. Tanya was always nice & sweet. Most importantly Tanya obeyed his mother without any questions. His mom wanted daughter-in-law who would listen her. His mom looked towards him & asked “What happened?” Pradip felt so negative. “Mom, it tried to talk with Tanya but she is not interested.” “But her father was interested in this proposal.” Pratap felt so hopeful now. If he had Tanya’s father on his side then he was sure that things would turn in positive way. He knew that Tania’s father would force her to date him. He smiled. Pratap “Don’t worry. She will call.” He waited. Finally, Tanya called. He didn’t say anything directly. He waited. Tanya “Actually I was thinking about you…” He was so happy. She was trying to propose him. She took so much time. He felt so angry since she took so much time. She supposed to obey before him immediately but she took lots of time. It was frustrating for him. She was not someone special. But he was shocked by her next sentence. “I called you since I was thinking about going to movie. Do you like to come? Our entire group from college is coming!” He was so angry. He said “No. I am too busy.” “Oh! Okay.” She immediately disconnected call. He could clearly sense that she was having some views against him. He decided to ask her directly “What do you feel about marriage?” She laughed nervously & said “I am not planning to take those responsibilities.” He felt so negative. But he continued “Your parents were asking about proposals for you.” “Oh! Don’t send any. I will not get married at this point.” “Fine. I will tell my mom she was thinking about sending few proposals for dating.” “No need.” “Okay. Any way I am too busy for movies. I want to concentrate on my career. This is time to concentrate on career not waste it on other things.” Tanya didn’t say anything for some time. Then she said “Okay.” She disconnected call. He was feeling so upset. He was not in love with her but still her rejection was managing to hurt him. He called his mom. “Mom don’t suggest Tanya to any one for dating. She didn’t want it.” “What? But her father…” “Mom maybe she was not interested in me?” His mom wanted to argue but when she looked in his eyes she decided against it. She changed subject. They began to discuss about his office. He knew that his mom didn’t know much about his work but still this diversion was surely helpful. He felt so positive by it. He kept talking about his office.

               Tanya said no to Pratap but in her heart, she was so scared. She knew that her parents were trying hard to find some boyfriend for her but she didn’t like Pratap. Whenever he began to talk, she felt as if he was judging her. She knew that she needed to find some other boy who would treat her in better way. She was so scared to do that. Her parents didn’t want it. Her parents just wanted her to marry Pratap. They didn’t want her to date any other boy. She was so frustrated. She was not some product which they could sell to someone. But she didn’t dare to say this. She was good girl. She supposed to give respect to her parents but she decided that she needed some change. She wanted to meet with outside world. She started it on internet. It was getting exciting day by day. She was planning to go to movie with her college friends just to share it with her friends on social site. It was so exciting. She kept feeling positive. She carefully selected her dress when her mom came suddenly. Her mom smiled sweetly & asked “So he is coming?” “Who?” She asked when she knew very well that whom her mom was mentioning. Her mom “Pratap!” “He is not coming & why did you told his parents to find suitable boys for my dating...” She wanted to say that she would do it herself but she knew that it was against normal attitude. She slowly said “I don’t want to start dating so soon.” “Why? You are not doing any career! That job of cashier in shop couldn’t be considered career.” She felt so angry. She loved her job. She knew that shop owner admired her too. She also chatted with her son Ravi sometimes. Ravi was nice boy. He always admired her skills. She felt so positive when Ravi was around. She wanted to keep working in shop. She didn’t want to change job. She knew that her mom wanted her to change it. It was not as if someone was going to find good job for her. They didn’t offer her any promising job. But still she was scared to leave her present job. She said “I love my job. I have good salary too.” “But you can do it after getting married too.” She was frustrated. She said angrily “Mom I need sometime. I am going to movie tomorrow.” She was so upset. When her mom went out of room, she immediately sat on her table. She opened her laptop. She went on her social site. She was so upset. She started to tell everything without second thought. She never gave second thought before sharing her thoughts. She knew that she needed to tell all to her friends. Those internet friends were becoming her real friends. It was precious for her. She knew that she could tell them. She didn’t need to feel shy with them. Today she wanted to write about Pratap but she knew that Pratap didn’t talk about himself so she decided to not mention him. She just kept writing about general things. She felt so positive about all when she wrote. Those friends understood her a lot better. She smiled happily & then she went to select dress & movie which she wanted to watch. They all decided to share movie names whichever name get more votes they would watch that movie. She smiled & wrote name of movie she wanted to watch. She hoped that it would win. She hardly managed to watch movies. Only with her friends she got this chance. Then she got ready to go to shop to do her work.

          Tanya went in shop. She arranged all properly. She kept feeling nervous. She felt as if someone was watching her. She was totally certain about it. She suddenly remembered Pratap. She decided that she needed to catch him. She ran towards door of shop. She began to search but no one was there. She knew that Pratap many times came there. She saw him. She began to feel that he was obsessed with her. She decided to tell her parents about it. She returned to chair. She waited for customers. But there was not any customer there. While Pratap was in his house. He never went out. He was very angry with Tanya & hurt. He didn’t like her rejection. But he didn’t want to comment on it. She  was over in his view. He began to work. While working his mom suddenly called him, he asked “What is it mom? I am working.” His mom came in room with nervous face. “I know but I totally forgot to bring tomatoes. Can you bring them?” Pratap hated to do such things but today he was happy to go in market. He needed some change. He began to think that he needed to buy some new clothes. He needed to buy better clothes. Now he decided that he would try to get some nice beautiful lady whom he would love. He didn’t want to keep adjusting. Tanya rejected him. He began to feel that he was just protecting his ego. If a girl rejected him then it was okay but he needed to at least love her. He smiled & said “Okay. I will do it.” So, Pratap took card & got ready to go in market. It once crossed his mind that when he would go to market that route would have store where Tanya work. But he decided to ignore it. He shouldn’t need to think so much about Tanya. He just needed to take walk. He began to walk when he came near store. Suddenly Tanya came out. She began to scream on him. “What do you think of yourself? Why you are harassing me?” She was screaming so loudly. All people on road began to come. They started to scream on him. He was sort of shocked. He didn’t understand what was going on. He kept saying that he did nothing. But Tanya was holding his shirt & screaming on him. She even slapped him. Soon people started to come forward to hit him. He immediately started to searching for cop. Then he took out mobile & immediately called cops. People were hitting him but when he began to talk Cop. They stopped. He screamed on them angrily “On suggestion of this mad woman you are hitting me? What I have done?” One person came in his support. “He is right. Let Cops watch CCTV footage.” Another woman said “This girl is lying. I saw this man walking. When my baby threw away my stuff, he helped me to gather. So how can he be in two places at same time? He was behind walking on that signal.” Tanya “He was here then he ran behind to hide from me.” “Now he was walking straight.” “Let’s wait for Cop.” Soon Cops came. Cop immediately demanded CCTV footage of Tanya’s store. Cop went inside. Cop observed it then Cop came out. Cop “Madam, are you out of your mind? That man was wearing yellow shirt & this man is wearing blue T-shirt.” Tanya felt so nervous. Pratap thanked Cop & immediately went back home. From that day he began to feel so upset. He told his parents everything. They decided to cut connections with Tanya’s family. Pratap also went to doctor to confirm that he was fine. But still he was not feeling normal. He didn’t go outside any more. He just kept staying in his home. He kept having bad nightmares. In those nightmares he got more injured on road. Cops never came to protect him. He kept shivering daily. Finally, he decided to go to psychiatrist. He told all. He said “I can’t get over it” & he cried. Psychiatrist convinced him that he would be fine. According to Psychiatrist such situations were not unusual. Psychiatrist convinced him that he needed to tell everyone about this. He must not lock these feelings. After counselling he called his college friends one day. He told all about Tanya. One thing became clear that they all trusted him. He felt so glad. One day Tanya called him. She was blaming him for damaging her reputation. He just asked one thing “What about me? You never care for me. Don’t call again or I will call Cops.” Slowly he went over it with Psychiatric help. He got promotions. He managed to get settle in his career but still in his mind he shivered when he went on that road. When he decided to get married, he told all to his future wife honestly. Some girls felt scared & rejected his proposal but finally one entered in his life who didn’t mind that past. She trusted him. They got married & they always loved each other. It was that married life which he wanted for himself. His wife was his true dream date.
