Closing of company
Dilip was
working for hours to get it right. He knew that boss needed it in right way on
time. He was feeling that it was essential to get things in right way. He was
working hard for so many hours. He knew that boss would want it in right way
too. After finishing it he smiled. He looked towards his work. It was perfect.
There was no doubt about it. He was getting everything in perfect way right on
time. He called his Boss to tell. Boss “Nice. Send it on computer.” “Okay.” He
forwarded it immediately. He was expecting Boss to read it & tell him
regarding his mistakes. But Boss didn’t call back. Dilip started working on
next article. He kept working but he was stressed. He didn’t understand if he
did it in right way or wrong way. Boss supposed to comment on his work. He
waited. Finally, Boss came out of Cabin. He was expecting some comment from
Boss but Boss just ignored him. Dilip turned towards his friend Sandip. Dilip
& Sandip sat beside each other for long time in that office. They became
best friends. Sometimes Sandip joked that he spent more time with Dilip than
his wife. It was clearly not positive. Sandip wanted to spend more with wife.
Dilip laughed loudly on that time. But he never considered it anything other
than joke. Now he began to feel doubts. He was spending so many hours in
office. He wanted to return home to his wife Tanuja. He wanted to spend
sometime with family. At beginning he used to enjoy work since at least Boss
used to appreciate little bit but now Boss started to ignore. He felt as if he
was working unnecessarily for hours. Dilip “I don’t understand after completing
my work. Boss used to pay attention now he doesn’t care.” Sandip “You work too
much in details. Now a days Boss doesn’t pay that much attention.” “Why?”
“Don’t you know what happened in Boss’s house?!” “I don’t know.” “Well, his son
married a girl then his son shifted in new house. It took them sometime but
after sometime even Boss’s wife started going in his son’s house. Now our Boss
is staying alone in his house. All family stays in different house.” Dilip felt
so confused. Dilip “Then why doesn’t Boss shift there?” Sandip laughed. Sandip
“You are so simple! They don’t need Boss any more. They just decided to throw
old man away in old house! So, Boss no longer cared so much about this company
matters.” Dilip “I don’t feel Boss will ignore company like that. His wife will
come back & everything will be normal. We need to work hard to keep company
running.” “But if Boss doesn’t take interest icompany can’t survive? I am
already thinking about other jobs. You need to do that too.” Dilip felt so
nervous. He just nodded. He wanted to keep thinking positive. He decided that
he needed to work hard. He felt his company would survive. He looked around. It
was such big nice office & such expensive things. His company couldn’t
close like that. He convinced himself & smiled happily.
Dilip went back in home. He wanted to
talk with Tanuja. But Tanuja was too busy. He waited. Finally, when Tanuja’s
work was over, she came in room. He immediately told her all. Tanuja looked so
upset. Tanuja “You work so hard & your Boss is destroying all over his
personal issues. This is so wrong.” Tanuja was so upset. He knew that Tanuja
would understand his feelings. “Sandip is already searching for new job. I
don’t understand what I suppose to do.” “You can’t do anything about it except
you need to work properly.” He nodded. He was happy that Tanuja was with him in
this crisis. He was so frustrated. He went back to sleep. It was peaceful one
with Tanuja in his arms. He was happiest person in world. He was loved by his
wife. He was working nicely. He was moving ahead his company & he was
certain his company would keep making profits. He didn’t feel it could be
closed if it kept making profits like that. He smiled happily. Even in his
dream he was working. He was creating wonderful chances of profits for his
company. His company was getting rewards after rewards. His Boss was taking
them. His Boss was giving speech in which his Boss was admiring his family. Dilip
could see entire family of his Boss was sitting on front row. They were
clapping for success of company. Dilip never met Boss’s son actually. He just
saw him from far away in some function. But in dream he could see lthat son clearly. He
was so happy everything was fine. He began to clap loudly on that point he
suddenly woke up. He looked around. It was already morning. He was getting late
for his office. He immediately ran to get ready. Now he was ready to work hard.
He was so positive. He knew that his office wouldn’t be closed. He knew those
all things were just rumors. He was certain that his Boss would be live happily
with his family soon. He got ready. Tanuja was watching him. When she saw he
was relaxed, she decided to not discuss further. But she was little bit tense.
She gave him confidence but she was not confident in her heart. She wanted to
discuss. Still, she decided to not discuss on that day. He was getting ready
for office. She didn’t want him to be late.
Dilip came in office with full hopes.
He began to work the way he always did. He talked with Sandip about different
topics. They avoided talking about company future. They kept working nicely.
Sandip was little careless in his work but Dilip did all perfectly. He was
certain that if he managed high profits then his company would survive. After
all they ran business for money only. He was certain they would keep it
working. After that day Dilip kept working hard. He noticed others were not so
interested in perfection but when he insisted they did it. Few declared clearly
that even if company might get closed if it closed as company making profits
people would appreciate him. He was certain that they would get good profits.
Slowly he began to check market. Their company was always among high earning
companies. He was so happy. Still, he noticed his Boss was still not taking
interest. But he began to feel certain that they wouldn’t sell company. He was
working peacefully in it. He was sure that no one was going to sell his
company. He was working so hard but slowly he began to sense one by one
employee began to vanish. One day Sandip told him “Boss is giving notices to
many. One by one we all told to go & they will close company.” Dilip felt
so tense. He began to feel so uneasy in his head. He tried hard to control but
he couldn’t stop pain of his head. He screamed & told Sandip “My head is
paining so much! It is so hard to even breathe.” Sandip “Let’s go to hospital.
I will ask Boss.” They were about to go in Boss’s cabin but Boss came out. Boss
gave them notice & said “If you want you can stay home from tomorrow, I
paid you extra bonus & even given you three months salary in this cheque.”
Dilip wanted to speak but his head was paining so much. Sandip explained
situation to Boss. But Boss insisted “Just take this cheque & don’t come
from tomorrow. I will not open office tomorrow.” They didn’t have much option
but to take cheque. Sandip helped Dilip to stood up. Sandip called ambulance.
Sandip was so scared. Dilip was taken in hospital & Sandip called Tanuja.
Tanuja was so shocked. She called her sister to take care of home & called
Dilip’s sister to come with her in hospital. Tanuja arranged all but her heart was so scared. She
never saw Dilip in that condition which Sandip had described. Dilip fell sick
but it was always small sickness. He never screamed in pain like that. Tanuja
was so scared. She was shivering with fear. Her sister-in-law was trying hard
to support her. When they reached to hospital it took them some time to find
where Dilip was. They were taking reports. Tanuja was so nervous. Sandip told
her to sit down. Then Sandip gave her cheque & talked about closing of
company. Tanuja started crying. First her husband was in hospital now his
company was closed too. It was worst disaster for her. She didn’t understand
how could she get over it. Her sister-in-law slowly put hand over her shoulder.
“Don’t worry everything would be fine. You need to handle all in low budget for
few days.” Tanuja nodded. Tanuja knew that now she needed to find some way of
income too. She began to cry slowly her life was shattered. She needed to keep
confidence on this point. But she was getting shattered by moment.
Tanuja was sitting
alone outside Dilip’s room. One by one all relatives went back to work. They
were checking what was wrong with Dilip until now they didn’t find out
anything. Her kids were alone in house. She was so scared. Finally, Doctor
called her. Doctor “We checked every report of your husband but it all looked just
fine.” She gave shocked look. “But he still has pain in head.” “Let’s start psychiatric
treatment.” “He is screaming in pain. It is visible. It’s can’t be imaginary!” Doctor
smiled oddly & said “You are underestimating human imagination. Let’s bring
one psychiatrist here.” She nodded. Psychiatrist came. He visited Dilip &
told her “This is mental issue. It is happening since he can’t able to accept
they are closing company even when it made profits.” “But he didn’t know…” “He
must have sensed. Don’t worry. He will get over this.” Tanuja felt so uncertain
at beginning. But slowly Dilip’s treatment began. Dilip began to complaint less
about pain in head. He started to search for job & soon he found one too. But
he was not happy with it. He kept feeling scared. Finally, he took loan &
started his own company. After that his pain in head vanished. It was big risk
but he took it. Tanuja supported it. They began good earning. They slowly
started to earn better most importantly now Dilip was happy to get freedom from
fear. He was Boss now. He knew one thing certainly if he kept running profits
his company wouldn’t be closed.
