Adventure story. 571. Planning a picnic

                                        Planning a picnic 

Sandip was having difficulties in planning all. But he knew that time had come to make some plan. His elder brother always used to do all planning for him. But now he got married. His wife Rita & his elder brother Tushar surely deserved privacy. Sandip was again & again told by his parents that he must not disturb Tushar with his problems. Now he got his first summer vacation & he needed to plan all. He required to arrange all properly. He wanted to enjoy his life. He didn’t understand what he supposed to do! Until now he always went out with Tushar this was first time when he needed to do it alone. He was nervous & most importantly he was feeling empty as if he was without any route. His ambition of life was vanished. He didn’t understand cause. His elder brother was not his ambition! He had his independent identity. He knew it fully. He always protected it. He always decided which route he wanted to take in life. He had confidence in his decision making. But he never walked on it alone. He always had his brother Tushar by his side. Now they suddenly wanted him out of his life. He knew that they were telling right thing to him but still it was hurting him. He started to think carefully what he wanted. He began to search for spots of Picnic. All spots he loved are costly. He wanted to find reasonable spot. He kept observing beautiful pictures one after another. He kept watching costs. All looked pretty but he was not sure about their reality. He was so confused. He began to read comments under it. They managed to confuse him more. It was so upsetting. Many people were telling those pictures were fake. They felt cheated by going there. He needed to find some place which was cheap & still beautiful. He kept searching one after another. He began to look so upset. He didn’t understand which place was beautiful. He wanted to watch every photo carefully. He enlarged them. He kept watching them with full attention. He kept observing every corner of that photo. It was looking interesting but many times he felt that they were not so beautiful as they seemed in photo. He was so frustrated. He began to feel that all were cheating him. He knew that if he selected wrong place. His Dad would keep taunting him. His Dad always kept insisting that he was not smart. His Dad kept telling to everyone that he was stupid. He didn’t understand what he supposed to do. He began to sense that he couldn’t move ahead without Tushar. He was so frustrated. He needed to think in hopeful way but he was not moving ahead. He was feeling so stressed. He decided finally one small resort. It was important for him. He checked all photos & finally he began to book it. He felt happy when his booking was over. He went to his Dad & showed it to him. His Dad started laughing. His Dad “ Are you booking it for Tushar or yourself?” He felt so confused. He was doing everything in right way & he was confident about it. He was so upset by all. He didn’t understand what he desired. He was so stressed. He tried his best to hide his fear & said with smile. “ Yes I booked it for myself.” “ Really?!” “ Yes!” He said with full strength. “ Then you are planning to marry before completing education or you are planning to go on honeymoon without marriage?” He felt so confused. “ Honeymoon?! Whose honeymoon?!” His Dad screamed on him “ Stupid boy are you illiterate? Use your eyes! This is honeymoon resort! Cancel booking immediately!” His hands started shaking with fear. Sandip immediately canceled booking. He began to feel so tense. He was no longer have any confidence in himself. He decided that he would take help of Tushar. He knew that he could do it behind his parent’s back. He kept thinking about ways. Then he suddenly decided that he should just go in Tushar’s room. He knocked on it. Tushar opened room. Rita was sitting on bed. Clearly they were upset by this disturbance. Sandip “ Sorry I just want to confirm do you like to go to this resort?! I booked it by mistake.” Tushar gave nervous laugh. Rita suddenly jumped with joy. Rita immediately took lap top in her hand & said “ Thanks for idea. Let’s book it.” Tushar immediately agreed. Soon they booked it. Then Sandip slowly requested one booking for him too. Tushar managed to find it in seconds & booked. Sandip went back to his room. He supposed to feel happy but he was not feeling happy. He knew that he didn’t manage to do anything. He knew now he needed to pretend but Tushar immediately told him “ Don’t tell Dad about this! & told him that you booked this as our wedding gift!” Rita gave nice affectionate smile & said “ You are like my sweet younger brother! Let’s hide this entire thing. We want to go out again & your Dad was objecting. Last trip was not luxurious one. It was about religion. I like to do religious things. I believe in God but this tour is needed too. I feel we deserve it. What’s your view?” Sandip “ My Dad is too bossy.” Tushar was so happy. Rita was smiling too. Sandip said “ Bye.” Then Sandip ran back in his Dad’s room. Sandip told him what he planned. His Dad was clearly upset. His Dad was about to scream when his Mom said “ Sandip need to give gift. You must pay for this trip.” His Mom always managed to understand their needs while his Dad kept trying to save too much. He sensed that it was always on their expense. Now his Dad gave angry look to his Mom. “ I managed everything in this house. I know value of money while you just keep wasting it around. You never understood how precious it is! You will suffer one day due to your wastage & this stupid boy never manage to earn much. I don’t see much of his future.” He started to feel so nervous. He wanted to just say to “ No” to all. But he promised his sister-in-law Rita that he would manage this. He knew that Rita couldn’t argue on this time for anything & Tushar deserved this help so he kept standing quietly. He finally got what he wanted. His Dad paid for booking. He smiled happily. He went to Tushar’s room. He told him about booking they were so happy. They began to plan packing. Then suddenly Rita asked “ What about your packing? What is your plan of vacation?” He didn’t plan anything. He sensed an emptiness but he didn’t want to show it. He just stood & ran towards his room. He called loudly in fake excited voice “ I have many plans.”

       When Sandip returned to room, he was crying. He never felt so alone. His Dad managed to discourage him in best way. He liked Rita & he didn’t want to show weakness before her. It would make bad impression on her. He wanted a girl just like her for himself too. He was so excited about that dream. He wanted a perfect family. He wanted to become Dad one day. He wanted to be perfect husband too. His brother Tushar was perfect. But he was noting. He began to look in information about resort Tushar booked. All looked so promising in it. But he didn’t understand what he supposed to do after going there. It as Tushar with whom he used to spend his days. Now that Tushar was missing from picture. He began to think that he might just stay in room & start studying for next year. He smiled. This was excellent idea. He decided to put some books for new course he might wanted to do. This was important for him. He needed to get all books desired properly. They were precious for him. He began to observe those books. Then he sensed that he had not decided which course he liked to take. He began to search for information. He began to think about his next year’s education. He was interested in planning his future. He needed to concentrate more on career. He kept thinking that everything was positive. He began to think about course he could take. Finally he decided one. Then he began to search for it’s books. He soon sensed that he could get actual text book in shop. He wrote down it’s address. He decided that he could purchase book tomorrow. So he planned all. It was decided in his mind that he would take books & study on his picnic. He was so happy by this idea. He went to sleep peacefully. He didn’t want to think about anything else now. He just wanted to think about his future. He knew that it seemed like obsession but he felt that it was perfect. He wanted to prove himself & he needed to do this for it. He was totally confident about his decision. He smiled happily while thinking about it. He was so happy that finally he was going to back on his track. He woke up in morning. Then he took his breakfast & immediately he went to that shop. He purchased all books. Then slowly he kept them all one by one in his bag. They were heavy but he was happy. He began to pack all. When suddenly his Dad appeared & looked towards his hands, his Dad started laughing. His Dad “ You are much odd boy! You are not normal! I mean no one take school books on Picnic. You need to think about this. Other boys of your age planning parties, enjoying their life while you just concentrate on studying. It is not normal. I mean you are odd. I know people will consider it scholar!..but I don’t think so.” His Dad started laughing again. “I mean you are not showing any great progress on any front of education too. You are not first in class. You don’t even manage first class in college! Stop pretending you are scholar!” He could clearly smell & sensed that his father was drinking again. He didn’t understand which type of alcohol he drank. He just disliked them all. His Dad hated it too. While Tushar drank some but never like his Dad. Tushar never forced drinking on him. But his Dad kept trying to force. It was so wrong. He had freedom to live his life by his choice. But his Dad kept insisting. It was so frustrating. He needed to feel okay but he was feeling so inferior. His Dad kept admiring his skills of partying. His Dad kept telling him that he was following his Mom on every way. He didn’t understand what was wrong in it. He just hated his Dad. He wanted to insult him but he knew that if he did it all would stand against him. His Dad was Demi God in their eyes. They needed to respect him. Sandip never understood why. Sometimes he felt that it was possible that it was due to money his Dad earn. But that money was not so much. Still his Dad earned lots of respect. Sandip didn’t say anything just put headphones in his ears. He wanted to avoid hearing taunts his Dad cracked on him. He felt so sad by them. He kept doing packing. He was sure about one thing that his trip was doomed. He was not going to enjoy it any way. He was so happy when he packed his books. He kept feeling so restless after they all convinced him that he was worst. He knew that it was not just his Dad. They all felt same way. Every one around him kept taunting him. He began to feel so sad by it. He looked timing of his Train. It was on next day morning. He felt so sad. He started to get so upset. He was not interested in going out of picnic at all. But he knew that he needed. He smiled. It was artificial one. But he needed to practice it. He went to sleep that night. But he knew that it was not going to be easy for him. He told himself again & again that everything would be fine. But soon he started crying. He knew that he was not supposed to cry so he took blanket above his head & cried for long time under it. He was so frustrated. He kept telling himself everything would be fine. He was so scared. He kept crying under blanket for entire night. He wanted to sleep but he couldn’t. Finally after sometime he fall asleep. He began to have so many nightmares throughout night. He couldn’t sleep peacefully for any moment. Then in morning he woke up due for alarm. He got ready. His Mom already booked Taxi for him. He immediately ran to get ready. He watched in mirror. He could see exhausted face. He was too tired. He decided that he didn’t have much option but to go. He had packed his bags already. He went in washroom to get fresh. Then he came out & immediately got dressed. After it he took bags. He ran towards Taxi. He sat in it. He reached for train on perfect time. He sat peacefully in it. He wanted to enjoy his journey but he was too sleepy. He couldn’t keep his eyes open. He fall asleep peacefully in train. He didn’t able to enjoy anything. He woke up when ticket checker came for ticket. He showed it. Then he sensed that he forgot to order lunch too. He didn’t understand what he supposed to do. But he was too shy to ask. So he just opened biscuits he bought. He ate them instead of lunch. That entire train journey was just worst experience for him. He didn’t like it at all.

     Sandip was already nervous when he reached to hotel. He went to reception & asked about room. Manager smiled sweetly & gave him keys. He was expecting someone to come to take his bags but clearly no one was available on that moment so he took his bags & went to room. He opened room & went inside. He felt so nice when he was finally in room. It was his perfect heaven. He sat before TV on swing. He was all alone but he suddenly began to like it. He kept watching TV for hours. Then he shifted to his books. He started studying. He was opening someone would come to ask about order of lunch. But once again no one appeared. He went out himself. He went to small restaurant. When he sat immediately waiter came with Menu. He checked out & ordered while considering budget. He needed to spend money carefully. When he finally completed giving his order, he began to look around. It was beautiful resort with wonderful bushes full of different types of flowers. He could hear birds too. He began to feel need of following those birds. He smiled happily & went towards one voice. He took out his mobile & started clicking photos of those birds. He watched them carefully. He loved them. He began to try to click them but soon he sensed that they were not that good. His mobile was not good enough. He was about to turn back when a girl appeared. She was so beautiful. He gave her shy smile. She slowly came near him & asked “ Do you need help?” He nodded slowly. He wanted to talk with her but he was too scared. He couldn’t. She was so nice. She kept looking towards him. Finally he showed his mobile to him. She looked in it. She smiled & told him “ You need better Camera. You can’t get good photo without equipment!” He nodded. But then she added “ Don’t worry. I got my camera click picture with it. Then I will send them to your email.” “ Great.” He was so happy that he got her email. Then soon he began to talk with her. She was so nice. But soon he found out she was of Tushar’s age so not suitable for him as his date. But still he could make friendship with her. He didn’t need to become romantically involved. She helped him. He clicked photos. Then he went back to his room. He went inside. He began to read book. But his mind was on her. He wanted to make friendship with her. But then he sensed that it was just for two days. He suddenly got one idea. He started to write email. He wrote many things which could say. He told his all dreams in it. He sent it. Then he felt that this girl wouldn’t answer. After sometime he went ahead with his studies. He didn’t dare to meet that girl again. He was too nervous. After sometime he went back. He spent his entire picnic in his room & he liked it. But when he returned & told this to his family. His Dad laughed on him. His Dad started to taunt him. He was so hurt but he decided to ignore. Even Tushar & Rita started to feel he was odd. He wanted positive impression on Rita but it didn’t work. He sensed that Rita was considering him odd too. He started to spend his entire day in his room. He began to get involved more in books. One day suddenly noticed answer for his email. That girl answered him. Soon he sensed that her younger brother was died in accident & she was suffering from trauma. She just stopped her treatment. She was finding her dead younger brother in him. At beginning he didn’t like idea of being called brother but then slowly he accepted it. His Dad always kept targeting him. He started avoiding going out totally. He began to write this to that girl. She began to suggest him ideas to enjoy like. She gave him some musical albums. All was going perfectly until she didn’t got married. One day she emailed that she was married & her husband didn’t approve this emailing to unknown boy. He was so shocked. But he had option but he needed to stop. He began to feel so lonely after it. He didn’t understand why did he needed to be treated that way by her husband. He kept sitting in room for hours. Finally one day his Mom came in room & said “ You must go out.” “ I am fine.” “ No you are not! I have taken appointment of counsellor.” He screamed “ I am not mad!” “ But you are educated aren’t you? Then why don’t you understand just mad people don’t go to counsellor? & what is wrong with having mental issues? Is it crime?” “ But Dad will keep taunting me!” “ Then just ignore him.” “ Mom..” “ No excuses just get up.” He was so tired even to argue that he just nodded & got dressed up. Then they went there. They waited for sometime. Finally their appointment time came. They went inside. After some time Psychiatrist told his Mom to go out. Then Psychiatrist told him to tell everything. He began to tell all. He was nervous when it came to his emailing to that girl. Clearly her husband took it wrong way. He felt psychiatrist might do same but he told. Psychiatrist smiled sweetly & said “ No one was wrong in chatting & her husband was right too. She was replacing you as her brother which might be creating problems in their life. You don’t need her. You needed visit to counsellor.” Then slowly Psychiatrist explained him that how did he supposed to handle stress. According to Psychiatrist having that depression was common at that age. He was stressed by everything & his Dad was primary cause. Then Psychiatrist explained him that what he supposed to do. Slowly he understood all. He went home & step by step he acted as psychiatrist taught him. Now he went out when he wanted or sometimes when he was invited but he answered suitably when his Dad taunted. At beginning his Dad tired to bully him but slowly his Dad sensed that he couldn’t push him under control now. So his Dad finally started to give up & he began to live life as he wanted. Soon Tushar shifted to another flat. Rita didn’t want to live with them. When this happened, Sandip felt little sad but it was not big issue for him since he learnt to live without Tushar due to his Dad. He smiled happily when his Dad began to get frustrated after Tushar left. It turned out Tushar was working more for his Dad than him. Dad tried to force that work on him but he didn’t took it. He made it totally clear that Dad needed to handle it. He knew one thing that he had his life & he was planning to live it as he liked.
