Adventure story. 526. Hina’s new house

                                                        Hina’s new house 

Hina was watching out of window. She was thinking about life when suddenly noise of glass shattering turned her attention towards road. She ran in window. Then she sensed that she was no longer living in that house. She was no longer in house which was full of noises. She was in small house. Her Uncle gave it to her. She smiled happily. She never ever confessed to herself that she didn’t want to stay there. She had different house which was far away in corner. She loved small house. It was so hopeful & full of positive thoughts. She began to feel that she was so happy in this quiet house. She knew that she needed it. She kept staying in that noisy house just because land lord was not ready to sell that flat to her. She was staying there from grandfather’s time. She was ready to pay price. But that old land lord was too greedy. Her brother was living in abroad so she managed to stay with her parents. She loved that life too. But she was so confused. She didn’t understand what she actually wanted. She was supposed to stay peacefully in this place. She kept waiting for something. She didn’t want people around but she kept expecting someone to knock. In that house she used to treat many guests daily. It was so frustrating. She needed to give plastic smile to every guest. She needed to work hard to find what would be suitable for guests. She cooked it & served it. But still she received just taunt for lack of her earning. She always hated it. Her father never tried to make matter light but it never became light since her father wanted to just admire his son. His son was always missing from picture when they needed. She always supposed to deal with all. Their land lord was problematic too. Their landlord kept harassing them. She every day suffered struggle due to him. That landlord kept coming in their home. Then he kept telling about different boys who might be suitable for Hina. Hina was not interested in marriage. She tried to find suitable boy but it didn’t work. She never understood why but she didn’t manage to fall in love. It was so complicated. She wanted to find suitable husband but she didn’t find any. She searched so much for husband. She wanted to settle since her father used to dislike her. He used to like his son a lot more than his daughter. He started to get upset when she began to decide that she might like a boy who was not perfect for her father’s convenience. His father felt that his son-in-law should be someone who fulfil his wishes not his daughter’s dream. Her father was bossy person. In fact he was quite irritating too. So no one wanted to marry Hina against his wishes & Hina disliked boys which he tried to insist. Finally she dropped entirely idea of marrying. But this landlord wanted her out of his house so he kept telling her to marry someone just because Landlord wanted to capture her house. Everyone wanted to fulfil ambition at cost of her marriage. She was not ready to marry a wrong man & destroy her life so she decided to skip idea of marriage but on that turning point she met Pratap. Her father introduced him. Pratap was so promising. He nodded to her every suggestion. At that point she thought that he agreed with but now she felt that he might be just playing game. All began to believe that he was in love with her. No one could find any reason of his regular visits. He kept coming on each day. It was so nice. She still remembered those days when she used to wait for him. He kept taking her to movies. She sometimes felt that he even wanted to move ahead in their relationship. Then he got a job in abroad. He began to sense that everything was settled in perfect way. She thought that he would marry her & they would go abroad. But he came in her home. He gave sweets. He told about his job. They all kept waiting for indication of marriage but it never came. Finally he went away. She cried for one day. Then she totally forgot about marriage. She soon sensed that Pratap was just doing timepass with her. Pratap was dating many girls at same time. He was not planning marriage at all. She felt so embarrassed by all that. She even told about him to her friends & they kept asking questions. After some time Pratap got married to one rich girl. She was invited to his wedding. She purchased her best dress & went there. When they met on wedding, he was talking to her with same charming tone. It seemed as if he was never planning to propose her. It was just his style. She never understood that if she acted obsessed or he cheated her. Her Mom was dead by then so she didn’t able to even discuss it. Her life with her father was horrible. Her father kept demanding things which were impossible. Soon her Uncle & Auntie joined them. She was so happy. Her Auntie was so nice. She kept helping her. They stayed with her. Finally her father died then her brother came back. Her brother managed to convince son of landlord to sell them that flat. He purchased it. Her Uncle managed to buy this small house for her. It was big relief for her. Since she knew that her brother was not planning to let her stay in house for which he paid even small sum. Due to her Uncle she managed to get nice & cosy house. Her Uncle said “ I know you like to stay in nature so this small house is perfect. It is far away but you could see cost is not high. You don’t need to pay large maintenance..” she nodded since she wanted to get rid of her guests. Even after her father’s death few guests kept coming. She didn’t understand why but their regular visits were managing to irritate her. She wanted privacy. She knew this house would give it to her. She was so happy about it. But now she began to imagine things. She knew that glass couldn’t shatter now. But she was sure that she heard it. She was confident that she was not hallucinating. It was so complicated. She never thought this way. But now she sensed that she was imagining. She watched carefully outside. She saw nothing. She checked every corner. She was so frustrated. She knew that she heard something. She once again went inside. She closed her eyes & started to try to go to sleep. But she was so scared. She was shivering inside her blanket. She was feeling too warm but she didn’t remove blanket. She pulled it over her head to hide herself completely.

    Hina was so nervous. She couldn’t able to sleep. She kept feeling touch on her body. She knew that no one was around. But she felt as if that person was going to grab her. She knew that she didn’t have enemy. But then she suddenly began to feel confused. She remembered that she fought with auto driver. She remembered how angry he was. She felt sure that his Auto driver came here for revenge. She regretted her decision of arguing. She decided to ask for forgiveness. She removed blanket but no one was there. She didn’t understand what was wrong with her. She suddenly remembered cough syrup which was helping her to fall asleep. She began to search for it. She was so scared. She kept sensing that someone was standing near her. She was to feeling that something was wrong with this house. She began to get restless. She started to look around house. She began to sense someone which was spying on it. She knew that something was wrong with her house. She decided that she would shift somewhere else tomorrow. She finally found that cough syrup. She slowly pulled it’s small measuring cup & she took smallest dose. She began to sense that she needed to take something to relax. She couldn’t manage just on this syrup. But she knew that she couldn’t get sleeping pills without prescription. It was upsetting. She needed to sleep. Due to that cough syrup she slowly managed to go to sleep. When morning light fell on her face, she felt perfect. She looked around. That room was her dream room. She saw that house which she imagined many times in her dream. She used to draw it’s picture every day. She didn’t understand why did she felt scared in night. She sensed that now entire house just belonged to her. She began to feel so peaceful. She started to look at boxes which she brought from her house. She specially purchased different things to get pleasant to house. She began to arrange everything in a way she dreamt. She knew that now this house just belonged to her. She was so happy. She started to arrange entire house properly. She managed to get her house finally. She knew that this house was her dream house. She started watching it in daylight. It was that house for which she used to dream every day. Then she sensed that she wanted big house. She looked out of window. She could see empty big Bungalow. She wanted something like that. But it was impossible for her budget. Then she started laughing at thought of staying inside it. She was scared alone in this house then she surely couldn’t survive in big house. But she kept watching it. On that point she saw someone. She sensed that person was inside house. It seemed as if that person was watching her too. She shivered with fear & immediately closed window. She didn’t like anyone around her. She started to watch drive way. She sensed that a car was standing there. So someone was going to stay there. She was so upset by that thought. She wanted to stay alone. She knew that neighbour means trouble. She remembered how did her land lord was acting. She tried to tell herself that this neighbour might not act same way. But she kept feeling upset. She was so nervous. She didn’t want any one around. But she could clearly see that someone was going to stay in that bungalow. She began to watch & without second thought. She bought one knife towards window. She wanted to be safe. She knew that she was not going to use it but just in case. She decided to keep it. She wanted to be sure that she was safe. She began to arrange her house. She was shocked when she looked out of her window in afternoon. That car was gone. No one was in that bungalow. Clearly no one was planning to come to stay. She was so frustrated. She didn’t why she felt that someone was coming. She took out that knife. She was about to keep it in kitchen when door bell rang. She ran to open it. Her Uncle & Auntie were waiting outside. She didn’t sense that she still had knife in her hand. She smiled but they both shivered with fear. She could see sweat on their forehead. She was so confused. Her Uncle asked “ Why you came with knife? What happened?” She looked towards her hand & started laughing. “Ohh I was cutting some veggies & you came!” They all gave nervous laugh. But after it they forgot it. They started discussing different topics which could bring smile on their faces. She kept enjoying herself. Then finally she invited them for dinner when she was not prepared at all. But Auntie told her that they had already planned dinner with someone else. Then they went away. Her day went perfectly. But she was not alone. She sensed that she was not enjoying complete privacy even in this house. She was feeling so upset. She was so obsessed with her privacy. She knew that her one day was wasted in meeting people when she needed to enjoy her loneliness. She began to relax when she was alone. She sat on sofa. She began to plan rest of her day. She started to think in positive way. She began to manage her thoughts in properly. She began to think in hopeful way. She planned to cook something she loved. She like some simple food. She began to plan to cook it. She started to cook. She didn’t sense anyone around. She was so happy that fear which she sensed in night was vanished. She was no longer tense. She began to feel positive. She started to plan her day properly. She needed to keep her day as per her comfort. All went positively. She was so happy. She looked out towards bungalow. It was empty so one thing was clear she didn’t going to see any neighbour so soon. She spent her day happily. She watched sunset out of window. She began to think positive memories. She started to feel happy. She was on top of the world. She began to think in hopeful way. She sensed that she had positive thoughts in her mind. She was so pleased. She knew that this house would bring good luck in life. She smiled happily. She knew that finally she was free to do whatever she liked. She had everything under her control. She was so happy.

    Hina stood up after sunset & went in kitchen. Her house was small but comfortable. She could see every corner of house within her one eye sight. She wanted big house but now she was happy in this house. She had bed in one corner of bedroom but she could see inside of bedroom from hall. She knew that no one was in it. She didn’t light lamp since she wanted to save electricity. Actually her father put that in her mind. She needed to close all lights. But what if she was scared of darkness. Her father never did anything to stop her fear. He just ordered her to not get scared. She started to laugh at that thought. She sensed that she was laughing alone. She began to doubt her sanity. She began to feel confused. She began to remember how did she thought someone was in room yesterday. She started to think that she was losing mind. She started to imagining things. She remembered that her father always used to tell her that she couldn’t stay alone. She began to feel that might be true. She knew that now she didn’t want to think that way. She decided to stay alone & she was going to do it. She went in kitchen to find her dinner. She managed to make simple dinner & then she came out to eat. She began to feel so nice. She started to eat happily. But she was so tense. Then she read book. She watched TV. She began to get relaxed. Then she went to sleep. She kept getting restless. She didn’t understand why. Today she didn’t feel anyone was watching her. In fact she was sure that no one was in her house. Still she kept getting uneasy. She didn’t wanted to feel scared but she was scared. She knew that she couldn’t survive alone like that. She was so sad. She was feeling totally sure that she couldn’t stay like this. Even today she couldn’t able to sleep. She started crying slowly. She didn’t want to take cough syrup again. But she didn’t have much option. She went to medicine cabinet & took it. Next morning once again she woke up. She was not scared. She arranged everything in perfect way. She did all with smile. Until she finally didn’t settle big cupboard with mirror. In that mirror she saw her face & she started looking at it with shock. Her eyes already started to look strange. She knew that anyone could see that she was not normal. She wanted to cry but she told herself that she would be fine in few days. She decided to call her Auntie. She told her everything step by step on phone. Auntie gave pleasant laugh. “ This is not serious. When I married to your Uncle. I took nearly month before I started to sleep peacefully in that new house. This happens with every one. Just count sheep or do chanting of God’s name. You will feel relaxed. Don’t try too hard to sleep..” her Auntie told her many ideas. She felt so relaxed after that call. She felt that she would surely manage to go to sleep soon. She was happy during entire day. She was alone & happy. She didn’t sense anything wrong. But then she saw sunset. She went to sleep on bed. Once again her hopes of peaceful sleep were shattered. Once again she was observing ceiling. She tried to count ship but it proved useless. She began to think someone was around due to it. Then she chanted God’s name, for sometime it worked then once again she started to get upset. She was so panicked. Finally she sat near window & started watching outside. She couldn’t take cough syrup on third day without cause. She knew that it would stop giving her effect of sleep soon & it would become useless on sickness too. She kept telling herself that it was for few days. Slowly those days turned into weeks. Dark circles under her eyes started to grow. She began to sleep during day & started to stay awake in night. She sensed that something was wrong with her. Finally she called physician. Physician called her for check up. He took her tests. He told her that her blood pressure was high. She told about her insomnia. Physician looked concerned “ One month is too long. Don’t wait for such long time. Are you taking that cough syrup too?” She wanted to deny but truthfully she started to take it again. She confessed. Physician “ My God! Don’t do that. Go to this psychiatrist!” “ Psychiatrist?” “ Yes what happened? Psychiatrist is doctor too. He will treat you like me. He will not give you electric shocks! Do you watch too much movies?!” She started laughing. She sensed that she literally forgot to laugh. Then she took number. She immediately took appointment. She didn’t want to give herself chance to think against going psychiatrist. Then she waited for few days. Finally that day came when she visited. After she entered in room. Psychiatrist immediately asked “ Are you not sleeping?” She nodded. She felt relaxed since he understood her trouble immediately. She told everything to him. He talked discussed. Then he gave her medicine for few days. Due to which she started sleeping then he insisted on stopping them. He said “ Try to sleep without them.” He taught her few tricks to relax herself. She slowly started to fall asleep. She was so happy. She finally told psychiatrist that she was okay. Psychiatrist smiled & said “ Then let’s stop treatment. If you feel same way again, you can call me.” Hina nodded. But before going she asked “ But what is cause of this? Is it new house?! I am not brave enough!” Psychiatrist pointed chair & told her to sit down. She sat down & listened to him.

   Psychiatrist slowly began to explain Hina “ Hina you wanted your independence while your father wanted you to stay with him forever. He wanted you to take care of him.” She looked confused. “ Your Dad planted this fear in your mind. He wanted you to believe that you can’t live alone when you can.” Hina felt so angry. She began to abuse her father but psychiatrist stopped her. “ Hina now you are cured & he is dead so you must not drag yourself in that past. You can sleep in your house that is important. Forget him & for doing it you need to forgive him.” Hina nodded. But that night she once again faced set back. She called psychiatrist again. Psychiatrist arranged appointment. Once again they started discussing. After few sessions finally it was over. She learnt to sleep peacefully again. It was so strange what she learnt from birth as baby she needed to learn it again. She needed to learn sleeping like baby. But she learnt it once again & started to sleep like baby. Her life was wonderful on every moment.
