Living separate life
Harish began to feel negativity in mind. He didn’t understand why. His life was moving ahead in perfect way. He had good parents & wonderful sister Pari. Pari was beautiful & smart. He knew that soon she would complete her education & then she would find some nice boy to settle down with. He hoped that she would find some job but even if she didn’t still, he was certain she would find some date. She was intelligent & beautiful. He saw many boys were taking interest in her. He felt so sure about good future of his sister that he didn’t have any doubt. He was certain his parents would do things properly. He woke up & went in washroom to get ready for breakfast. He changed his clothes for his class. He had completed his education but he was taking further education. He was very positive about all. He got ready & he went to sit on breakfast table. He was shocked to see a man whom he didn’t know sitting on it already. He looked towards that man & his dad smiled happily. His Dad “Do you know him?” “No!” He said clearly. That man gave odd smile & said “You know how to insult person on first sight.” He was so shocked. He was not intended to insult anyone. His dad gave angry look & said “Have you forgotten your tutor?” He felt so scared. He remembered him. He was just few years senior than him. But he came as tutor for mathematics. His teacher recommended him. It was so scary experience. His Tutor Ravi used to come on holidays. Whenever Ravi came, he supposed to study chapter in advance. Ravi didn’t need to teach him instead he supposed to practice all by himself then Ravi supposed to just ask him questions. It was all wrong. He felt so nervous about all. He was studying every question for hours. Ravi wanted everything to become perfect for him. But it was hard for Harish. He took breath of relief when finally, that tuitions were over. He still remembered how did his parents gave credit of all success to his tutor Ravi. Harish was not happy to see Ravi again. He just hated him. Harish “Why did Ravi came today?” His Dad looked so angry. Dad “Why does you ask these sorts of questions to Ravi like that?” Harish was so frustrated. “I don’t understand why did everything I say seem to upset you today?” Ravi smiled sweetly & said “Since you are asking me some arrogant questions!” Harish “I was asking just normal questions.” “Really?! This is your normal behaviour!” Harish didn’t say anything further on that point his mom asked “Do you like something to drink?” “OH! Just make on coffee & don’t forget to add sugar.” Once in past when his mom gave Ravi coffee, she gave sugar like they put in their coffee. But it turned out less for Ravi. After that every time his mom got insulted like this. Harish didn’t understand what was importance of Ravi. He just wanted to throw Ravi out of house but his dad was giving special respect to him. Harish turned to mom & said “I will sit in my room for breakfast.” When he turned towards room his dad declared “Harish is like that only but Pari is different…” Harish didn’t like the way this conversation was going but he couldn’t take decision for Pari so he just went in his room. He knew that he needed to get ready & go out of that house as soon as possible.
Pari was
getting ready for college. She knew that this was her last year. Pari liked
Harish but she always felt that Harish got more attention & authority over
house. She knew that they were expecting her to leave home & it was
Harish’s inheritance. She didn’t agree to it. She wanted her authority on
everything. She wanted to own all. She was feeling so upset when her mom
suggested that this house should be given to Harish. Her mom also told her that
she would get Bangalow of beach view but it was not enough for her. She wanted
all. She knew very well that Harish was scared of Ravi. She smiled to herself
while watching her image in mirror. She knew that she would start to date Ravi
soon. When Ravi would enter in this house Harish would be thrown out of house.
She was so happy. Ravi was convincing every one how useless Harish was. Pari
went out with full confidence. She smiled & sat beside Ravi. Ravi
immediately looked towards her & said “Why you are wearing these types of
clothes?” She looked towards her clothes. It was normal shirt & pant. “What
happened?” “They are too tight for your body. You look more vulgar in them.”
She felt so shocked. She was not expecting these types of comments for her. She
was thinking that he would taunt just Harish. She felt so nervous. Her dad gave
her angry look & said “You need to start dieting. You are eating too much.”
She felt so sad. She said “I will go in room & change my dress.” Ravi
smiled & said “No need. I bought one dress & I like plump girls so no
need of dieting just starts wearing extra-large size dresses instead of large
dress.” She nodded. Ravi gave her package. She was so upset but still she took
it with smile. When she opened it, she was on top of the world. It was
beautiful designer dress. She smiled happily. She forgot all. She began to love
Ravi once again. She wanted just beautiful dresses & costly things. She
didn’t mind few insults. Once she get married with him. She would handle him wisely.
She smiled towards her mirror image again. She was determined to become
successful in life morals & emotions were not so important for her. She
smiled happily. She needed to start dating Ravi soon. She knew that her dad
would encourage it & her mom would nod. Harish didn’t have any right to
comment so she didn’t mind even if he disliked. He was not important in her
eyes. She began to admire her new dress once again.
Harish went in
his class. He supposed to listen to lecture carefully. But his mind kept going
back again & again to Ravi’s face. He began to sense what was happening.
His parents were thinking Ravi as match for Pari. He needed to talk nicely with
him. After all he was future husband of his sister. He didn’t object Pari’s
choice. He suddenly began to feel positive about all. He didn’t need to feel
scared. He could stay in his room & whenever he came out, he would talk
nicely. He began to concentrate on his lecture again. He needed to bring his
career on right track. He wanted to move ahead. He began to take notes. He was
going to work hard. After listening to all he got even some work he needed to
do in house. He was confident that he would do it in great way. He was paying
full attention to every line. He managed to call on Cab. When he sat in Cab
once again, he began to concentrate on memorizing. He was totally lost in his
thoughts when he reached home. He took lifts & he rang doorbell. He waited.
For long time no one opened door. Finally, his mom opened. Mom looked tired.
Mom went inside. He wanted to ask questions but he decided to let it go. Then
he heard loud voices of Pari. Pari was complaining about something. He didn’t
exactly go inside her room. He just stood in corner. Pari was demanding
different costly things. Pari “If I don’t get these things, I will not get
married to Ravi. You will responsible for it.” Mom looked nervously towards Pari
& said “I can buy few but I can’t buy all they are too costly.” Pari “I am your
daughter can’t you do something for me.” Then Pari began to count mom’s every
mistake even all things from childhood like how did Pari fall down on ground
got hurt on knee since mom didn’t hold her hand properly. Harish felt so
shocked & scared. It was so hard to stop her. Pari kept abusing all. She
was dad’s favourite since she was planning to marry Ravi. Her dad always wanted
Ravi as son instead of him. Mom tried her best to console her. Mom agreed to
purchase all those things which were possible in their budget. Harish wanted to
argue & take Mom’s side but nothing was doing to work. His dad wanted Ravi
to marry Pari so it was important that they should get everything in right way.
He slowly said “I want dinner.” His mom
looked towards him & nodded. Pari immediately started screaming “I am doing
all for this house & you are ignoring me for this stupid Harish. Do you
understand how valuable Ravi is?” Harish didn’t know much but he knew that he
was not much important. He smiled nervously “I just asked for dinner. I will go
& sleep after it.” Mom immediately began to go towards kitchen. Pari was so
angry. She began to throw things. Harish was so shocked. Pari was destroying
his favourite showpieces. He felt so sad. He began to call mom. His mom came
back running. Mom “What are you doing?” Pari began to abuse. He wanted to
interfere but he couldn’t touch his sister like that. He couldn’t hurt a woman.
Pari slapped his mom before his eyes. He wanted to stop her but he was
helpless. Mom “Go to kitchen & eat your dinner.” He nodded & went in
kitchen. He took his food & went in his room. He closed door tightly &
opened his laptop. He began to work. He needed to go out of here. He needed to some
day to earn & create his life. He didn’t want to stay with Pari & his
parents.
Harish began to
plan next day in his class he began to discuss about jobs. He was so happy when
one job was suggested but it was far away & salary was less but he didn’t
mind. He just needed to earn. He immediately asked place for interview. Then he
didn’t even ask for permission & went ahead by applying for job. He just
wanted to get rid of this situation. He knew that if he tried his parents might
object. He was so happy when they told him to come on next day. He was on top
of the world. He fixed it & returned home. When he came back, he told his
parents. Immediately his dad objected. Dad “I don’t want to spend money on your
staying there. Your salary is nothing.” “But that this is good beginning.” His
dad gave negative smile & said “I am not giving it to you.” Harish felt so
sad. He went in room. He needed to go out. He called his one friend. He wanted
help but no one seemed willing. Finally, one person agreed. It was one uncle
who was telling his to date his daughter for long time. He felt scared but he
agreed. Next day he fixed timing to meet girl. He knew that he was doing wrong
but he decided to do it. He would give them their money. Next day he got ready
he kept certainty of one thing that his family shouldn’t guess his doing. He
went out. He met that girl. She was nice. They both seemed like perfect match.
So, he was so happy. He sensed that he truly wanted to marry that girl. He told
about her dad that he wanted to get married. Her Dad was so happy when he came
it clear that he wanted just loan. He insisted on making it written. They
officially went to lawyer & made legal agreement. Then her dad said “If you
keep it legal then I will not insist on marriage. I let you decide.” So, Harish
started to feel happier. Harish was doing all this while keeping his family in
dark. Daily Pari was throwing some tantrum. She was insulting him. He was so
happy when finally he got job. He did all his packing & then he told his
family about it. He was on top of the world but his dad began to scream on him.
His dad told him “Don’t come back again after this. I will give all to Pari.
She is my only child now.” He nodded. His mom cried but he didn’t care. He just
wanted to ran out of that house. He finally went away. He loved his job. He
kept dating that girl. Finally, when he managed to get good position, they got
married. He didn’t dare to inform his family. Finally, one day he received call
from cop. His sister Pari tried suicide. His parents were not in position to
handle all. He went there alone. He didn’t take his wife. When he came, Pari
once again started abusing him. She wanted all property. He felt so hurt. She
did all this drama just for property. He agreed to give it. His Dad smiled
happily. He felt they both had mental issues. His Mom was just standing in
corner without word. He smiled towards her & said “It’s okay.” He agreed to
do all procedure. It was better option. But he kept watching Pari. She was
dancing along room strange way. He began to feel so scared. He just wanted to
run away from there. Even his mom didn’t tell him to stop. He gave up most of
property & then he once again went back. He didn’t go back there. Pari kept
calling but he kept giving excuses. She kept talking about her stress. He kept
avoiding. He began to get stressed after call. Finally, his wife asked reason.
He told her. His wife took Pari’s number & talked with Pari. Then Pari’s
call stopped but his mom came to stay with them. His wife was happy about it.
He felt so hurt. Pari took all but not ready to take care of mom. Mom was
looking so weak. It was so painful. Pari was not normal according to mom. But
he was not going to interfere. He kept avoiding Pari. His life moved on different
track. He just went on his dad’s funeral. He saw Pari was sitting like doll.
Ravi was beside her. She was not normal. She needed psychiatrist but he didn’t
say anything. Ravi just taunted him for not paying any attention to family &
for not sending money. He said nothing. He just left as soon as possible. After
that he never contacted them. He knew that Pari would never listen to him so he
never told her to visit psychiatrist.
