In that darkness Rucha started looking out. She began to imagine those things which would make her dreams alive. She knew that she was grown up but still she loved to dream about fairies sometimes. He had to act it right way. He decided that he needed to let Rucha enjoy herself for some time. He thought that she might had went to her parent's house. He just went to Tara " Tara did Madam told you to tell me where she is going?" Tara looked shocked. Tara " Madam did go out like that without Leena Didi!! Madam always stay with her." Ankush " Then where is she now?" " She is in Leena Didi's room on upstairs." " No she is not there. I went there first." " No..No sir she is there. I have seen her going inside." Then Tara went in Leena's room. Ankush followed her. Tara began to search then she slowly opened door of Balcony. She found Rucha standing there and watching stars. She smiled " Sir Madam is standing here only. You were getting tense unnecessarily." Rucha turned towards Ankush. Rucha " Ankush when did you came?" " I came just few moments before." " Ohh really?" " But why are you standing in Balcony like that?" " I was enjoying stars." Ankush went inside and brought a sweater. Ankush " Wore this or you will catch cold." Rucha was so upset. Ankush was irritated her now. It was so hot. He was insisting on sweater. " Ankush weather is too hot." " Don't you understand? You can get pneumonia due to it." " How can I get pneumonia due to cold in this hot weather? "" Come on just stay inside or wear this. If you don't feel this is right then at least wear it for my sake." " Fine. I will wear it but don't you feel you are unreasonable." " I am reasonable and concerned about you. Come inside or wear it." Tara was so shocked. She knew that her Boss was acting unreasonable with her Madam. But Tara knew that it was not wise to interfere in matter of husband and wife. She didn't even dare to interfere in relative matters so it was impossible for her to interfere in matter of her bosses. But she wanted to avoid word war. Tara " Lunch is ready. I have came to inform you." Suddenly they both sensed that Tara was standing there. They both gave forced smile. Rucha " Let's go." Rucha went down for lunch. But whole time in her mind she was playing that scene in Balcony. Ankush was acting so strange. He was trying to cage her like bird. But she didn't understood why. Ankush started giving smile to her. Ankush " Sorry I have overreacted." " But I don't understand why did you reacted at all. I mean normally standing in Balcony is not something any one need to get tense about." Ankush looked confused. Ankush " May be I love you so much that I just can't bear thought of losing you?" " Losing me? Since I stood in Balcony what you feel wrong and risky in it." Ankush was more confused now. " I don't know but I feel that fear from my soul. Any way come on take some Chicken curry it is nice. You will like it. Just forget that scene. Can't you forgive me?" " Yes." Rucha took chicken curry and started to talk about other things. But she had nothing except Leena to talk about. He sensed that something was wrong. Ankush "What happened?" Leena " I am getting irritated. I am Leena's Mother I know that it is my responsibility but still..." Ankush stopped her in middle of sentence " You have done so much for our daughter that I think you deserve your life too." Rucha smiled happily. Ankush " Just relax. I am sure now Tara could handle Leena for few hours. She is not small now. She started to take tuition for her fifth standard." Rucha " If she was not sick that way, she should be in school by now. I couldn't imagine what should have been our life." Ankush " Stop this. We must start over it again. I told you to accept what we got. She is too weak due to her health condition. She could not effect that stunts. But you can go out so I suggest that you can go where ever you want for five hours a day and Tara would manage for that time." Then he turned to Tara. " Do you want increase of salary?" Tara was happy by this thought. She knew that just five hours would not enough for increase of salary. Tara " If you increase salary I will do it for entire day." Ankush smiled happily. Rucha started to feeling suddenly her life would get better. She nodded and then they did deal with Tara with which Rucha could get little freedom.
When Leena woke up, she looked around. She saw no one was in her room. She was feeling so tired but then she never had a day in her life when she didn't feel tired this way. She always remained tired. She didn't understand what was her sickness something regarding her genetics. But she knew that she was going to be that way for entire life. She looked out of window. She could see lights. She could see people walking around and most importantly running around. She began to feel breathless whenever she tried to run around. She looked around again. She saw no one was there. She decided that she wanted to go down. She thought that she could manage that little walk. She felt so confidant. When she got down, she heard her parent's chatting. They were talking about her. She sensed that they considered her nothing but a big burden on them. She never felt that her Mom considered her a burden. They didn't want her. She felt so sad. They wanted a normal daughter who could do everything properly. She couldn't go to school. She decided that she had enough. She decided that she could walk now. She began to move ahead. She slowly started to feel pain when she tried to do it fast. She started to feel breathless. But she decided that she could force herself more. She began to feel so much hope. Then she slowly went to door. Rucha was shocked. She came running to stop her. But she couldn't. Then she went in garden. It was beautiful. It had perfect rose outside. It was red flower with so many buds. She decided that she wanted it so she began to pluck it. But then she felt that it was wrong since it belonged to entire society so she went inside. Rucha came running to her. Rucha " Why did you go outside?" " Since I want to. I am fine. I am no longer burden on you." Ankush " Don't talk this way with Mom." "Sure. You just care for Mom. I don't matter to you at all.I don't care about you any more. I have to move ahead. From tomorrow I will go in school like normal kids." They both looked upset. She smiled happily. Leena sensed that her parents were showing off as if she was burden but truthfully they wanted to keep her in cage. She was perfect. They did it to her. She was so happy then she went back to sleep again. But then she felt so tired. She decided that she needed rest. It was so pleasant. She just sat on stairs.When she woke up by Tara's touch, she looked around with confused expression. Tara " Leena Didi I have brought food for you. Why are you sleeping on stairs? Ohh did exertion exhausted you?" Leena smiled " Surely walking in garden must had exhausted me." " Walking in garden? When did you walk in garden?" " Just few moment ago. I went down and took walk in garden." Tara looked confused and shocked. Tara " But I didn't saw it." " Mom and Dad were there but you were not down." Tara looked happy. " I must working in kitchen. But it is great that you walk by yourself. Congratulation." " Thanks." Leena tried to walk now. But she was too tired. She felt that last time she did too much. Tara " You must eat dinner now." She nodded. She once again went in room and ate dinner. Then she once again went to sleep. She was too exhausted. She just wanted that energy back which she possessed few minutes ago when she went in garden but she didn't sense it. She thought that she would get it back after sleeping so she went to sleep. Tara was so confused. She was discussing different issues with Ankush entire time so it was not possible that they went out of her sight for such long time. Tara didn't imagine happiness of Rucha if Leena walked so much. She didn't feel such thing had happened. But then she felt that she might had missed some part. She began to feel that she might had got confused like Ankush, She might was somewhere else. Then Tara went down. Tara turned to Rucha. Tara was angry with her for not sharing such big thing with her. But she decided that she didn't want to discuss that matter. But her face just didn't manage to hide emotions. Rucha " What happened?" " Why don't you tell me that Leena took a walk in garden?" Rucha looked shocked. " Leena took walk in garden!! When? I can't believe it. I am staying with her whole time and I don't notice it. " Then Ankush entered in room. He overheard them. Ankush " It must be when you are watching those stars." " Come on. It was not for that long time." " Ohh really I feel you have lost track of time on that point." Rucha " Stop talking this nonsense. I know every thing about her. She is not capable of walking so much. Doctor told her. Don't you remember?" Ankush " But she can't be lying like that." Tara looked confused. Tara " Let's forget it for now. She might have just dreamed. I must take her dinner now before she went to sleep again." Rucha nodded. Rucha turned to Ankush with anger. Rucha " I am sure that she didn't walk." Ankush just nodded.
When Leena woke up from sleep, she started feel fresh again. She began to feel hungry too. She decided that she must go down to eat dinner. She started to stand up. She was so happy when she could. She slowly walked towards mirror. But soon she sensed that she could walk easily. She went near mirror. She started to get ready. She wanted to look her best. She started combing her hair. She began to look at her face. She never looked at her face so carefully. She never combed her hairs like that. She began to admire her beauty. She was little bit pale but she was beautiful. She felt so confidant that if she put on few pounds. She could become a beautiful girl. She began to sense that now she could even get married then she started laughing at her thought. She was just teenager. She couldn't marry at this age. Then she took deep breath to relax. She decided that she needed to go slow. But she had to study. She might try to join some sports. But she knew that she couldn't go fast. She might try to jog tomorrow. She smiled happily. Then she went down. She sat on table and began to eat dinner. Her parents were talking with extra sweetness to her. Suddenly she sensed that they were scared sine she had come out of their crutches. It was good news for her but it was bad news for them. Now they had to move according to her wishes. She sat on table with full confidence and started ordering things. She felt so much happy. Tara was bringing food but many items were not as per her choice. She knew that she never got what she wanted until now. She just got what Doctor told her. She smiled at said " Mom and Dad I want something that suit to my choice from tomorrow." Rucha " But don't you feel that you are moving too fast?" " Come on. You wanted that freedom now I am giving it to you." She could see fear on her Mom's face. She could sense Rucha needed her now. She was so happy. She ate happily. She felt more hungry today. She was so happy then she once again started going to room when she turned back. " I wanted clothes that match young girls not out dated clothes you kept for me." Rucha " But I personally chosen them." " Then you had bad choice." Rucha looked upset as if she was about to cry. Leena felt so happy finally she taught lesson to her. She considered her burden and she wanted to get revenge on her. But then she suddenly wanted to go to sleep. She started to go to room. Then she once again fall asleep. Suddenly she felt that Tara was calling her. Tara had plate of dinner in her hand. Tara " Leena Didi you must eat before sleeping." " Are you mad? I came down and ate dinner." " What? No you have not eaten any thing." " You are lying." Leena started screaming on Tara loudly. Suddenly her parents came in room. Ankush " What happened?" Tara " She is not ready to eat dinner." " I have eaten it already." Rucha " When? You have not eaten it. Stop acting like child." Leena " You are lying since you want to tell me that I am handicap. I am perfect. Those genetic troubles are just lies. I can walk." Ankush tried to prevent her but Leena didn't listen to him. She tried to walk. But then she started to walk they tried hard to control her. But she was too heavy for them. She just managed to fall on ground. Her head got hurt. She started to scream with pain. But still she kept cursing them. Leena kept screaming " Mom, Dad what you give me that I can't walk now? What you gave?" They all started to look scared. Ankush came near her. " Sweetheart you know how much I love you. I can't hurt you." " I know you are lying. I heard every thing. You told Mom that she must need freedom." Ankush and Rucha looked shocked. They didn't want it to come out this way. Rucha tried to console her. But she was screaming so much. Tara ran and called ambulance. Then after some time ambulance came. Doctor started taking Leena whole time she kept blaming her parents for paralyzing her. Doctor and nurses started to look at them with suspicion. Finally Nurse asked Rucha " Are you stepmom?" Rucha said " No" while crying. Then Tara came to her defense. Tara " She is her only Mom and she did her duty perfectly. I must tell you that girl is not mentally sound." Ankush screamed on Tara " Don't talk about my daughter like that." Tara looked sad but Doctor said angrily " Hiding your daughter's mental problem is not wise decision. Don't you understand this? You must not hide things from Doctor. Did she acting strange?" Ankush nodded. Rucha " Sorry Tara." Tara " Don't worry. I can understand." Ankush " We are going please take care of house." " I will do all. Just take care of Leena Didi." Then they took ambulance to Hospital.
Rucha was shivering with fear when she entered in hospital. Her daughter was blaming her entire time of poisoning. She could see suspicion in people's mind. She didn't understand what was her crime. She just wanted to go out of her house for some time. She wanted to sense some freedom. She spent so many years in that house locked with her daughter. In return she just demanded few hours outing. But it seemed as if it was all a crime. Leena was showing off in such way as if she was worst mother. Rucha decided that she must talk to Ankush now. She began to feel her marriage was mistake. Rucha " Do you feel I am wrong kind of woman? You were better off if you have married to some one else." " Why are you talking like that?" " I am such bad mother.." Ankush " You might be bad mother but I am not bad father too. I don't want to stay with her in house whole day." Then suddenly another Doctor came there. Doctor " So what did you did?" They were confused. Then Doctor introduced himself " I am Dr. Sharma. A psychiatrist. So what is issue?" Then Rucha told him everything. She had to say it all. Psychiatrist " So you feel this happened because you decided to spend some hours out of house not because she was sick for such long time?" Ankush " But we can't help it Doctor. We tried our best." " I know. I have just talked with Doctor. Your Daughter's disease is not curable. She would stay weak for entire life and I feel that thought is killing her from inside. She did expressed it in strange way when she heard you are going out since she was jealous." " But you don't feel I have failed in our duties?" " What is your duty as mother?" " To take care of daughter." " But as per my knowledge you are keeping her with a care taker Tara but she is servant. You kept whole house in her hand. It is scary." Ankush said angrily " We trust Tara." Rucha " She is like family." " So you are keeping your daughter with Tara whom you trust even with house and your valuables inside it? Do you feel scared when you keep house in her hand?" " No. But still those are things. Then don't have feelings." " Same apply to you. You need to sense Leena had to leave like that for entire life and you can't stay with her forever. She needed to manage it on her own." " But how can she do that?" " She could use wheel chair to move around house. Did you try it?" Ankush " We tried but she denied to use it. She felt like handicap." " But that is truth of her life. She needed to accept it then only she could move ahead. If she kept trying to act normal soon she would start to get more dreams. Her wishes are entering in her dreams and she wanted them to be truth so she kept seeing them." " But Doctor this is wrong. She didn't even willing to eat dinner since she had it in dream." " We need to convince that to her." " But she consider us her enemy so we can't do any thing about it." " Don't worry. She needed counseling and many sort of training to. She had to handle her handicap and move ahead in life with it." Rucha " Is she alright?" " Just relax. She will be perfect. But let me talk to her first. I need to convince her that you have not poisoned her." " I just wish that i have not insisted on going out." " Stop it. You did right thing. She needed to move ahead on her own. Just let her spend some of her time alone. Then slowly she would start to enjoy life. She just stay with you all time which will not help her. She needed her space too." " But she insisted that Rucha called her burden because she wanted to go out." " But she had to accept it too." Ankush " Are you calling my daughter a burden?" Ankush asked angrily. Psychiatrist " No. Your daughter thinks that she is burden on you. When you started acting normal, she might start to enjoy her life too." Rucha " So you feel that I can go out for sometime." " I feel you can take some part time job." " No I can't leave her alone in house for such long time on her own." Psychiatrist nodded. Psychiatrist " Why don't you do work on computer? I got better idea. You can do charity work in this hospital's child ward. You can bring Leena too. It is safe to work in hospital. She would not get infection from normal patients. I can show you selected wards. When she see other kids and their handicaps then she surely began to feel that she could handle her life just like them." Ankush " Great idea." " But we can't give you much salary. We might give some gifts as complimentary." Ankush " I don't need money. I just want happiness for Rucha and Leena." Psychiatrist smiled. " You can start from today only. Today you can do trial." Then Rucha went in that ward with Ankush. When Leena woke up, Psychiatrist came in her room. Psychiatrist " Leena you think too much wrong way about your Mom. She was planning to visit patients in hospital." " Patients?" " Yes just like you." Suddenly Leena smiled. A hope appeared on her face even in her pain. She slowly started to ask about them. Then when that chat was over. Psychiatrist promised her a visit too when she got well. Then when Psychiatrist went near door, he turned and said " Leena I feel that you must have forgot to take dinner that is why you faint?" " No..no Doctor I can walk." Then Leena started to get confused again. Leena " But I walked." She tried to move legs but they felt too weak. Leena smiled once again and said " May be it was just dream? Any way Doctor I will visit those patients as soon as I got well." " Of course. You can make new friends there." Leena smiled happily and went to sleep. Psychiatrist smiled. He knew that she might need little counseling but she was going to be well. She might not become perfect physically but she would become best mentally and that finally going to matter more to them all on every day.
