Rasika's marriage invitation
Tara was excited about this marriage. Her friend best friend’s marriage! She planned so many things. She loved Rasika from her heart like her sister. Rasika was attached to her since Rasika was orphan. Her father died when she was small child. But Rasika’s Mom did all for her. Then when Rasika was in college her Mom diagnosed with cancer. During that hard time Rasika grew more attached to Tara. When Rasika’s mother died she still remembered that day. Tara went casually in her home like regular day. She went towards her house. Rasika’s house was locked. She was so shocked. She didn’t understand. She turned towards neighbour’s house. She felt so nervous about it. She didn’t understand she needed to knock or not. She was so confused. She slowly went towards door. She knocked. Tara asked slowly “ Why Rasika's house is closed?” “ Don’t you know! Her Mom died yesterday due to heart attack. Her Uncle took her away.” She was so shocked. Tara was her best friend but still she didn’t even call her. Tara cried so much on that day. Then Tara suddenly looked towards invitation. It was marriage invitation of same girl Rasika who didn’t even inform her about her mother's death just went away. She looked towards invitation. She looked towards her suitcase. She was putting dresses inside it. She was packing her most expensive dresses which would make her beautiful. She slowly took out her jewellery. She packed even her some gold & diamonds jewellery. Her Dad didn’t permitted travelling with it. But she managed to hide it. She was feeling so happy when she did. But now she was confused. She didn’t understand why did she wanted to go there. This invitation even came by post Rasika was not exactly dying to meet her. Tara started laughing in strange way. She felt that she might wanted to revenge. She remembered how did she suffered each day after Rasika left. Rasika was heroine of their college play but soon it was going on commercial level. Tara wanted role of Heroine but they didn’t like her. She had long list but when Rasika came they all looked so happy. Rasika got role of heroine & she got role of side heroine. Tara was glad to get at least that role. She knew that she needed to work hard to show her strength. Tara was practicing so hard while Rasika was just giving excuses. Still they all admired Rasika from heart. They kept telling how hard Rasika worked. Rasika was not much interested but Rasika kept coming just because Tara insisted. One day Rasika was so stressed by her Mom’s sickness that she didn’t come for two weeks. Finally all other group began to scream on Tara. Tara still remembered how did she was on verge of crying, she decided to go to Rasika. When she went to Rasika she hugged her & cried loudly. It was so heart breaking. She told Tara that her Mom couldn’t manage to survive. Rasika cried. Tara didn’t say anything to her. Tara couldn’t manage to bring up issue of college play but on that point director called Tara & forced her to give mobile to Rasika. After that Rasika screamed on her. Actually Rasika took some advance payment from director for her role in next serial. Rasika abused Tara since she came home & forced Rasika to talk. Rasika said “ You are cruel & selfish just get lost. You are not my friend.” Tara cried & went away. After that Rasika vanished. Neighbours told her that Rasika’s mother died. So Tara was stuck in this deal. Tara went to tell Director. Tara was taunted & abused. Director told her that he would replace both characters. One was of Rasika other belonged to Tara. All agreed happily. They all thought that she did do this just to become heroine. But then Director added “ I will not forcing you pay back money which Rasika took since I know it’s her fraud but you need to understand when you make friend you must make after thinking. “ she nodded then. But now she received marriage invitation of Rasika. She didn’t understand why Rasika sent it. But Tara was already ready. Tara wanted to go there. Tara never took much interest in ceremonies but this time she felt that she wanted to go there. She didn’t understand why. Suddenly her Mom came. Mom “ I don’t understand why you are so excited about this marriage?! Nothing is special in this. I thought you don’t like Rasika that much now.” Tara felt so confused. She didn’t..” “ I know but still I wanted to go there.” Tara smiled sweetly. Then Tara began to pack. Her Mom was observing her. Mom didn’t like Tara’s this idea. She knew Rasika was not normal girl. She saw that Rasika was odd. Rasika always tried to control Tara. At beginning Tara’s Mom had sympathy towards Rasika but soon Tara’s Mom sensed that Rasika was not as good as she was pretending. Rasika had lots of wrong habits. Once she sensed that Rasika was using imported make up which was very costly. It was okay if Rasika was using it if she had normal budget but Rasika kept taking money from others & still she kept using it on these luxuries. Tara’s Mom didn’t like it. But Tara’s Mom never said it. Tara’s Mom didn’t want Tara to go alone at least. Mom “ I will come with you too.” Tara felt so happy. Tara “ It will be great. Let’s go.” “ But you have not even called Rasika to tell her?” Tara began to look in invitation. She sensed that it didn’t have any number. Tara’s Mom “ Let’s forget this idea.” Suddenly Tara began to agree with her Mom. Tara didn’t understand why did she was planning this one first place. Tara “ Mom you are right this is stupid idea.” Tara began to unpack her things. She slowly began to pick pack ornaments. Mom saw them & said “ You are planning to take them with you?” Tara felt so angry. “ Mom they belonged to me.” “ Yes. But what if Rasika insisted on wearing them? Can you deny it?” Tara’s Mom knew that her daughter was attached to Rasika in odd way. It was so strange. But finally Tara decided to not go & her Mom took breath of relief. Tara unpacked all & went to sleep peacefully. Tara didn’t understand when she fall asleep but then her eyes opened when her mobile started ringing. It was middle of night. She looked towards it. That was unknown number. She didn’t understand what she supposed to do. She closed her eyes & went back to sleep.
Tara’s Mom sleeping in her own bedroom but she had habit of coming in Tara’s bedroom in night. She heard ringing of Tara’s mobile. It was on second time. Tara was once again woke up. Clearly Tara was upset this time. Tara decided to take call. “ Hello!..who? Rasika? You are calling from abroad?! Ohh! It is middle of night here.” For long time Tara didn’t say anything. Then Tara slowly said “ No..no.. I am too busy…” Tara clearly didn’t look happy with conversation so she said “ Bye!” With strange anger & force. Then Tara began to look towards mobile with fear in a way as if it had some monster inside. Tara’s Mom came inside & looked towards mobile. Mom “ Who was it?” Tara began to look so scared. Tara just looked away. Tara felt so nervous. Tara “ It was Rasika!” Tara’s Mom was so shocked. “ Rasika at this time? What is wrong with that girl?” “ Mom she is in abroad so got confused in time.” “ In abroad?! But you always said that she is poor.” “ Mom it was once upon a time.” “ Ohh! So she is rich now.” Tara began to get nervous. Tara didn’t like this call too. Tara didn’t want to connect with Rasika now. Tara “ Mom I want to sleep.” Mom controlled her anger & smiled towards Tara. Mom patted on Tara’s forehead with affection. Mom “ Go to sleep.” Tara’s Mom was so nervous. Tara’s Mom slowly took Tara’s mobile. She began to check number. She was so confused. Tara “ Mom I feel I done big mistake by making friendship with Rasika. It was so upsetting the way she is calling me at this time. She said she was in abroad so she doesn’t sense timing. She just wanted to invite me. I feel Mom she called just to show off. She was telling about her wealth. Mom I don’t understand why she is doing this? I never acted with her when she didn’t have wealth!” “ Honey I feel she is little bit insecure. Don’t worry we are not going to her marriage so you don’t need to worry about it.” Tara nodded. But Tara was so scared. Tara knew that whenever Rasika wanted something she always managed to get it done from Tara. Tara always had sympathy for her until now but now Tara didn’t like her. Tara began to think she made wrong choice in making friendship. She knew that everyone disliked her & all appreciated Rasika so she decided to consider her superior but she had doubts. She didn’t feel that Rasika is someone great anymore. She began to feel so tense. Tara wanted to feel happy. But she didn’t feel. She kept watching her mobile. She was obsessed in strange way about it. She once again lay down on her bed & closed her eyes tight. She could sense her Mom was watching her. Soon her Mom went away but she knew that her Mom would came back after telling her Dad. She was not little girl she wanted to act like grown up. She was planning to marry one day so she must not keep crying & taking her Mom’s help like that. On that point her mobile rang again. She saw someone send something on What’s app. She didn’t want to open her eyes. She closed her eyes tightly. She was not planning to checking mobile. She told herself. But she totally forgot about her Mom. Soon she sensed that her Mom came & took mobile in her hand. Then her Mom just put it down but she had enough. Tara “ Why you are watching my mobile?!” She screamed. When she opened eyes she sensed it was her Dad. Her Dad also sometimes entered in room especially when mobile started to ring. He mostly put it on silent mode. Her Dad “ Sorry. I was just putting it on silent mode & until now you were okay when I use it.” Her Dad was clearly upset. She slowly began to breath in strange way. She was feeling so odd. She felt as if someone was stopping her from breathing. She didn’t understand what was happening. She began to check if she had something on her chest. But she had nothing on her body. She began to sweat in strange way. She didn’t understand what was happening. Her Dad started to call Mom. Her Dad was so scared. He didn’t understand what he supposed to do. First he tried to offer water then he decided against it. He sensed that it could be medically wrong. She was so scared. Then after sometime she started to cry. She began to feel so stressed. When Mom came, she began to breath normally. Mom was looking so sleepy clearly her Mom was sleeping peacefully. She felt so angry. She didn’t understand how could her Mom sleep peacefully like that. She began to get restless. She started to feel so uneasy. She said slowly “ Mom just go away, I am okay…just go away.” She literally forced her parents out of her room & started to cry. She began to feel so uneasy. She didn’t understand what was happening to her. She took out her mobile. She saw Rasika’s photo with her husband. It was in wonderful location. Clearly somewhere in abroad so Rasika was rich now. She didn’t mind if Rasika got money but she disliked just one thing. Rasika was trying to show her all. Tara was no longer interested in it. Tara didn’t feel that she was happy for Rasika. Tara never got that role in college play. That career was so important to her. Tara was sure that Rasika was not interested in acting. Rasika decided her different career & went ahead. She didn’t care how did she managed to destroy Tara’s opportunity. Tara knew that if she ever suggested this. Rasika would laugh on her. Rasika would say “ Come on. That play was useless flop show. You don’t have any future in it. You need to thank me that I saved your time.” Then Rasika would laugh on her own joke. Rasika was like that Rasika was totally selfish still Rasika managed to get admired by people. Rasika knew how did she supposed to use her magic of sweet words. Rasika was talented in using people to get her purpose. Tara was so scared. Tara was crying inside room for hours. She didn’t care what others feel. She felt so broken. She didn’t understand how could Rasika managed to do it but she did. Tara began to cry in strange way. Suddenly her life became meaningless for her. She began to decide how could she kill herself. She began to look towards way which would be less painful. Then she began to hear screams of her parents. She began to feel so confused. She started to move towards Balcony. She was so upset. She began to go there. But she suddenly stopped. She started to feel something was wrong. She didn’t understand what. She kept looking around her room. She started to search for something.
Tara’s parents were so scared. They tried hard to stay inside but she didn’t permit. Her parents didn’t like idea of keeping her alone in room. Tara locked herself. They began to feel so nervous. Tara’s Dad “ I feel this is enough. Let’s take help of Doctor.” Her Mom knew that her Dad was referring to Psychiatrist. They discussed this many times. Since that incidence when Tara lost her role, Tara just kept going in depression. Tara couldn’t able to take interest in her career. Tara was not even interested in marriage. Tara was feeling so upset. Tara’s parents always tried to make everything right for her but nothing was working. They knew that Rasika managed to turn things in worst way but still they felt that Tara was overreacting. Something was wrong. Today Tara’s Dad was totally scared. Tara’s Dad went towards room & began to knock. “ Tara open door or I will break this door.” Tara suddenly came to her senses. She knew what she was searching. Her script! She wanted to compete that play before jumping from Balcony. She knew where it was. She went to her bed. It had one secret compartment. She opened it. She began to read that script but soon she sensed that words were becoming hard to read paper was turning yellow. She tried so hard to read but it was impossible. She felt so stressed. She decided that she had it enough. She just needed to jump. She ran towards Balcony. She looked down. She was so unsure. She saw kids were playing in garden. That was so nice & innocent. She played same way with Rasika. She decided that she had it enough. Without second thought she pushed herself down from Balcony. Tara’s parents heard screams & they sensed that something was wrong. They went down. They sensed that Tara jumped from Balcony. They went down in hope that she might survive but it was too late. Her parents started to cry loudly. Soon Cops were called & ambulance was called too. They began to talk with Tara’s parents. Tara’s Dad told all. Her Mom was not ready even to talk. It was horrible. They couldn’t believe that their daughter was lying before them in blood. Her Dad kept saying “ I don’t understand why did she do it?” Cops kept asking different questions about her love life but she had none & that was truth. She was not in love with someone so desperately that she would keep herself for that person. Then Tara’s Mom screamed “ Rasika killed my daughter. Rasika took money from director & went away so she lost role of college play.” Cop looked shocked. “ Your daughter was in college?” “ No..no my wife is talking about past. Actually that Rasika called her for marriage. She send marriage invitation.” Cop asked for invitation. Tara’s Mom ran in Tara’s room. Tara’s Mom began to search for invitation. Tara’s Mom opened that card which Tara showed her as invitation. Tara’s Mom was confused. It was old card given to Tara by Rasika on her birthday. Tara’s Mom kept searching finally lady Cop came. Tara’s Mom told her “ It was here..” “ Have you seen it?” Mom “ I saw it.” “ You read it?” “ No..no I just saw in her hand.” Lady Cop kept searching around. Lady Cop suddenly asked “ Did she called?” Tara’s Mom smiled “ Yes…yes.. she called in night.” “ When before your daughter jumped?” Mom suddenly sensed what happened once again & she started to cry. It was so upsetting. But thar lady Cop started searching. She found mobile. She began to search for call. She noticed call of midnight & she immediately sensed it was from India. Cop called back. Immediately someone took call. Lady Cop “ Are you Rasika?” But man spoke “ No..no.. I must say I am so sorry my kid called yesterday night to this lady!” Lady Cop sounded very angry. She screamed “ Stop lying. Did you done this call?” That man slowly confessed. “ Actually Tara was in love with me in college. I didn’t want her on that time so I kept away from her. I never encouraged to remove her from College play. I wanted to marry other girl who would be rich. I married one. Then I met Tara once again. I started suggesting her to come back to me. I am widower now with one son. Tara agreed at first but then she suddenly changed her mind. She began to talk to like Rasika. She began to tell about some invitation of marriage which Rasika send. But this was impossible. Actually Rasika died long ago. She was killed in car accident. Some suggest it was suicide & some suggest accident no one know. I done all inquiries so I called Tara in midnight to discuss this. I want her to visit Psychiatrist. Where is Tara?” Lady Cop “ She is dead. She jumped from Balcony.” That man didn’t say anything for long time. Then he started crying. Lady Cop called him in Police station to give statements. When Lady Cop told all to Tara’s parents they were shocked. They requested Lady Cop to give number of that man. She gave it. Her parents were thinking of calling but one day one man came with his son. He introduced himself as Raja & told he wanted to marry Tara. He talked with them for long time. Tara’s parents sensed that he tried so hard to take Tara to psychiatrist but it didn’t work. Tara’s parents cried. Tara’s parents felt empty after death of their daughter. But they decided to live ahead their life in best way since they sensed suicide was big sin & they didn’t want to repeat mistake of Tara. They began to move ahead with their faith that their daughter was watching them from sky & smiling happily towards them.
