Sameer's master
Sameer was packing luggage for his Boss. He was working for Ramesh Sir since childhood. When he was small boy, he used to come in house with his mother. She was maid. She used to come to wash pots & clothes. She used to do cleaning too. His mother was good maid. She was always obedient to her master. He used to play in garden. One day Madam, Ramesh Sir's mother came to him & asked " Don't you go to school?" He nodded negatively. She smiled & said " Then why did you waste your time like this playing? Your mother is working so hard you must help her. Why don't you join her." He nodded. Then he started working. He began to help his Mom. He began his training as best servant. Sameer didn't sense that he might had any other ambition but truthfully he never had. He likes to be a servant. It was wonderful job. He knew that he was happy. His Boss Ramesh sir took care of everything. He was sure that everything was happening in right way. He knew that Ramesh Sir's family was very important to him. He was walking towards cupboard when suddenly his son Sandip appeared out of nowhere. " Dad do you have some money?" Sameer gave him angry look. " Why did you want money?" " For school fees!" Sameer didn't like his idea of wasting money on school. Sameer gave him angry look. Sameer didn't want to waste his money on education. He had seen plenty of educated unemployed. He wanted a secure job & Ramesh sir was giving it. Sameer was working for him such long time. He never suffered any crisis. He knew that his job was best. " Why did you need this education?" " Dad! Everyone get it!" " Just because everyone get it doesn't mean you need to get it too!" Clearly Sandip felt confused. Sandip thought & repeated what teacher told him " Education will make me wise!" Sameer got so angry! Sameer " So you feel that your Dad is stupid?" " No..no" " Just because people tell you to go to school you don't need to do it. Help me in this house. Ramesh Sir would give you nice job!" Sandip didn't like this idea. Sandip wanted to go to school. He knew one thing that he needed education. He needed to study more & more. It was so upsetting. Sandip " Education is important. You are doing wrong by forcing me to work like this." " And who told you that? Let me guess! Your school teacher?" Sandip felt so nervous. He didn't understand what did he supposed to explain his father. Sandip " I don't know where I heard it! I want to go to school. I need new uniform & shoes. What is use of your money if you are not giving it to me?" " I am saving it." " For what? For your old age? Then why did you give birth to me? I want money for school & things I need for school! Give it to me!" Sameer was so irritated. But Sameer knew that if he didn't give it then his wife would create big drama. She wanted education for this boy. He knew that Sandip was useless. He wanted Sandip to work with him. He was so frustrated. He took deep breath & gave him money. Sandip ran away with money. Ramesh Sir was watching it all. Ramesh Sir didn't like situation. Ramesh Sir felt that it was wrong. Ramesh Sir didn't like when they took money from Sameer. It was Sameer's family. But Ramesh Sir felt that Sandip was wasting money. He didn't believe that Sandip was going to achieve anything. He knew that people like Sameer meant to just live like servant. Now this Sandip would take away even his old age savings. Ramesh Sir was so sure that Sandip was useless. He knew that servant deserved to remain servant for entire life. He saw many tried to go out of this status. His cook few days ago tried to give money to his son for college. His son came drank next day. Ramesh Sir suspected that cook was not telling entire story what his son did. Ramesh Sir was sure that it was some crime. But any way from that day Cook stopped education of his younger daughter & she began to cook & even live here. His wife was so happy to have one maid at hand. Ramesh Sir was observing that girl closely. He didn't want her to get attached to his son. His son was special. But this girl was just staying in her room in servant quarter. Ramesh Sir sensed that everything was perfect. He was making sure that his son must not be attached to her. He was smiling happily when he noticed his son was going towards servant quarter. He was so angry. His servant girl was playing tricks again. Ramesh Sir was so confused. He needed to suggest Sameer & stop his son. He needed to decide. But he felt issue with son was not emergency. It could wait. He went out. He pointed towards Sandip & said " Did he took your money again?" Sameer nodded. " Come on! You need to be harsh on him. He must not live on your money like this?! He needed to start earning." " I know but he is after that school & education! I don't understand who put this nonsense in his head." " Some social worker or some high society kid just returned from abroad! They kept telling our kids that they must get education etc." Sameer nodded. He knew that his son Sandip was making friendship with son of new reputated man of town. He was from some big family. Sameer decided to tell his wife to stop him. Ramesh Sir " I don't understand why your kid didn't go out with my son? My son surely need servant! I will give food lunch even clothes of my son! Don't you remember by this age you started working for me?" Sameer nodded. Sameer used to clean room. He even used to hide girls who used to visit Ramesh. He still remembered once a girl was caught. Ramesh Sir was forced to present her as Sameer's girlfriend. There was big argument. He was thrown out of house. He felt lucky that Ramesh Sir's Dad didn't slap him. But he was threatening to send him in jail. But he was honest to his master. He was brave. He didn't confess truth. He was still proud of his that bravery. He couldn't imagine what should have happened if it managed to come out. His master's entire reputation should have destroyed due to this mistake. His master Ramesh Sir was small. Ramesh Sir didn't understand at that age. When Sameer was thrown out from houses of entire town due to that crime of affair Ramesh Sir brought him back on job. Sameer still smiled at that memory. Sameer looked at his only gold chain with diamond locket. Ramesh Sir gifted it after that incidence. He always valued it. He took hold of chain in a way as if it was from God.
Ramesh Sir was observing Sameer. Sameer was holding golden chain. Sameer was clearly lost in thoughts. Ramesh Sir didn't like it when Sameer did this. It was clear that Sameer had some mental trouble. It was there from beginning. It was always hard to get suitable servant. Ramesh Sir looked upset. Ramesh Sir " So when did your son start to work for my son instead of that merchant's son?" " Actually he is not working there. This merchant just invited him to make friendship with his son.." " Friendship! Since when rich people started to make friendship with poor people like you?" Ramesh Sir started laughing. Ramesh Sir " He is using your son without paying salary." Sameer nodded. He felt so upset. Sameer " Only if my son had sense to understand it." Ramesh Sir smiled. On that point he heard some argument between his son & cook's daughter. He went there angrily & screamed on girl. " What happened?" She spoke with anger too. " Your son is holding my hand." " So.. what is big deal! You are not untouched. I heard you had an affair with your brother's friends." She was so shocked. " No Sir. Nothing like that happened. My brother brought his drunk friends in house. They tried to molest me but my parents immediately sent me to neighbour! I am untouched." Ramesh Sir gave strange smile. On that point Sameer entered in conversation " Sir ignore that girl. She is small." Ramesh Sir was so upset. Ramesh Sir didn't want this girl in house. But Ramesh Sir knew that if his son wanted her then he would keep trying. He didn't want his son to get attached to this maid. He suddenly got one idea. Ramesh Sir smiled towards girl & said " I know what you need to do! She must find a husband." That girl was shocked. She was too small for age of marriage. But she didn't say it. Ramesh Sir " I will find someone." Then Ramesh Sir went away. That girl ran inside her room. Sameer sensed that she was crying. Sameer knew that it was not her mistake. Sameer didn't like this. When Sameer returned home memory of that girl was still inside his mind. His wife was attending their children. He had two daughters & a son. He had big family. His daughters were out of school long ago. They didn't like education. In fact his wife was planning to marry them off. They felt the sooner the better. They didn't want marriage to be stuck. Sameer knew that in marriage he needed to spend lot of money. He just hoped that Ramesh Sir would help. He was so tense. He wanted Sandip to earn immediately. He needed it. Then he told his wife about that cook's daughter. His wife " These rich boys! They don't have manners. " On that point Sandip joined them. Sandip said " No..no Mom all are not same. These new friend of mine is different!" Sameer looked at his son with anger. Sameer " All seemed perfect at beginning. Then slowly they will show different colours!" Sandip didn't agree but he didn't argue too. He wanted to join college next year. " Dad this is my last year of school. I want to go to college." His both sister started laughing. One sister " You are just useless. You are wasting our money." " Really? I want to study. I don't want to be stupid like you!" Sameer was so angry. His son was becoming arrogant day by day. Sameer screamed " I got one useless son! No doubt!" Sandip was so upset. " Dad are you ready to pay for college?" " No I will not. I am feeding you free that is my biggest favour on you. I provide you clothes & food & shelter." " This house belong to greandpa not you. I can live here." Sameer's wife didn't like this. " Enough Sandip!" Then Sandip just stood up & went out of room. It was upsetting. He didn't understand why his Dad was not ready to send him to college. He knew that he needed advise. He suddenly felt that he had just one option. He could ask help of his rich friend. He called. Then he decided to request personally. He was crying. He didn't sense that it was night time for dinner. He just went & rang door bell. His friend's Mom clearly looked upset when he came at that time. He felt so ashamed. He suddenly sensed that he would look wrong. He didn't want to borrow now. He decided to say good bye but his friend came ahead & asked "What happened? Did your Dad agreed to pay for college?" He just turned head negatively. Friend's Mom asked " What happened?" His friend explained all. " Well! If you pass we will pay but we will pay directly in college fees in college. No cash in hand." He smiled & said " I don't want it anyway. My Dad might take it away & use it for something." They all looked shocked. Then soon it was settled that they would pay for his fees. Sandip came back relaxed. Sameer was shocked when he didn't argue anymore. It seemed that Sandip was not interested in discussing anymore. Sameer decided to ignore matter. After sometime he thought that Sandip forgot idea of going in college. At same time new issue started. Ramesh Sir was upset with Cook's daughter. She was not getting husband. Ramesh Sir was telling that everyone felt that she was flirt It was strange that girl was nice & innocent. Ramesh Sir's son began to go to that girl again & again. It was scary situation. Suddenly one day Ramesh Sir sent his driver to Sameer's home. Driver was told to fetch Sandip. Sandip was not happy about it. Then Ramesh Sir ordered Sandip to marry to Cook's daughter. Sandip was so angry. Sandip totally rejected that idea. Sandip screamed " I am not commodity." " I will help in marriage of your sisters." Sameer was so happy. Sandip was suddenly confused. He noticed that girl in corner. She was crying. She looked innocent & pretty too. He was confused. But he needed to complete education. " I need to finish college." Sameer "Shut up! You are not.." Ramesh Sir stopped. " No..no it is good idea. I will arrange one house in city for you. I will arrange for your education. I will give money in your own bank account. Just take her." That girl ran inside while hiding her tears.
Sandip was so confused. He once again went to his same rich friend. This time his Mom came in room. Sandip told whole sorry. " But you are minor! You can't marry." " Not legally but they will marry us any way!" " Do you like that girl?" " I don't!" He said angrily. Friend's Mom " You are saying this since you are forced in this. Bring that girl here. I want to talk with her. If you don't want to marry her no problem. I will keep her in my house. I don't want to keep her in that house. It is risky for her. That boy could do anything to her." Sandip agreed. Next day Sandip went to Ramesh Sir & told that he wanted to talk with girl. Ramesh Sir immediately ordered that girl to go with him. She forced to do it. Sandip didn't even looked towards her. Just said " Follow me!" She did. They went in friend's house" His Mom was waiting. Sandip went back home. Sandip was so tense. But next day Ramesh Sir called him with Sameer who was abusing him in whole route. But Ramesh Sir was so happy. Ramesh Sir " This boy is so wise. He didn't want to marry her so he found job for her. Now she would stay inside that house. All done." Ramesh Sir was literally in mood of dancing. In fact he was dancing little bit. Then he turned to Sandip. " I kept that cash in your account." Sandip smiled. Then all went in right way. Sandip went in city for study. Sameer didn't need to pay. Ramesh Sir didn't have money he promised for marriage. But Sandip said " I will send money when I get some job." Sameer started going on job. One day suddenly Ramesh Sir's son came towards him & slapped him. Sameer was shocked. He fall on ground. He was old now. He could sense that something was hurt. He knew that he needed to suffer lots of pains. He didn't understand cause of this. But that boy started hitting him. Sameer tried to protect himself but it was useless. When Sameer woke up, he was in hospital. He looked around. His wife was crying. He called her. " What happened?" She said that his few bones were broken. It would take him long to recover. Ramesh Sir didn't appear in hospital. Sameer kept staying there. Then he shifted back in his home. He couldn't able to walk for long time. One day finally he started walking. He told his wife that he was going to Ramesh Sir. She tried to stop him. But nothing seemed to work. He was so sure that Ramesh Sir would take him inside. But when he reached to gate Ramesh Sir looked towards him with anger. He was replaced by another servant. Ramesh Sir said " You are no longer honest like once you use to be!" Sameer was shocked. " I did nothing." "Do you remember why I gave you that chain?" Sameer smiled. " Yes! I helped you." " Yes you took my crime on yourself. That is your honest duty but today you told Police about my son. You are dishonest!" " I didn't meant to but how need to tell something. I was in pain. I got confused." "Get lost!" Ramesh Sir screamed & then he pointed towards gate " Go away or I will call Police." Sameer was so shocked. Sameer didn't understand what was his mistake. He knew one thing that he lost his master. That master was very important thing to him. Sameer was so shocked. Sameer started walking when suddenly son of Ramesh Sir came towards him, he took hold of Sameer's shoulder in such way that it would hurt him. " Where is that girl?" " Which girl?" " I want that cook's daughter!" Sameer was so confused. He didn't understand what was he supposed to say. He didn't want to give location of that poor girl. Then suddenly Ramesh Sir's son said " I know you have daughters too!" He shivered. Sameer didn't think about anything. Sameer started running. He came home & started crying. His cries were so painful. Soon even neighbours started coming. Slowly Sameer told all to them. His wife " My God! Now they will come after my daughter! We should have interfered." Other neighbour " What are you saying? Do you feel that he should have come after your daughters? He is crazy!" Sameer told all. But still he wanted to go to Ramesh Sir. He kept crying. He didn't stop crying. Then finally his wife decided to take help of that rich friend's family. She went there. Friend's Mom came out with that girl. Sameer's wife could see innocence on face of that girl. She felt her husband did right thing. She told everything to them. Friend's Mom thought for sometime. Then she asked " Can you cook?" That girl nodded. "Well then I will arrange one job for you in my friend circle. But you must take away this girl with you." That girl nodded too. Then they all went away overnight. Whole time Sameer said nothing. He just kept looking towards sky. His wife thought that he would become normal but he didn't become normal. As time went ahead she sensed that he needed medical help but she didn't have money. She kept avoiding it. She knew that if she asked for help Sandip might send money. But it would show effect on his education. Her two daughters were working as maid too. They developed dislike towards cook's daughter. They always kept taunting her. She was so scared. If Cook's daughter did something wrong due to depression, she noticed that Cook's daughter kept crying in corner. She was so scared. Then finally one day she called Sandip told him everything. Sandip told her that he would marry that girl. " But I don't want to force you.." " Mom you are not forcing me. Now I reached to that age where I can marry. I would complete my education & do job. She is taking nice care of you. She is not having affair. She is beautiful. Whatelse I need in my wife? She is perfect!" His Mom sensed dreamy feel in his voice. Mom smiled & said " I will ask her."
Cook's daughter was sitting in corner while regretting her birth. She was just burden to all. When Sandip's Mom came to her & asked " Do you want to marry my son?" She was shocked. But she said in timid voice " I don't want to force marriage on him!" " No..no he like you. He will come here tomorrow. We will do your marriage then we will shift with him." Cook's daughter nodded. All went as per their plan. Sandip's sister hated this marriage but they had no option. Sameer was sitting in corner entire time. When marriage was over they said good bye to everyone. Then they went to sit. They settled in one small room. Sandip's sister kept screaming but he ignored. Then one day Sandip suggested that they should take Sameer to Doctor. They did it. Psychiatrist was suggested. At beginning they didn't manage but soon all started working except Sameer. Sandip's sisters began to like his wife. One day they managed enough money to begin treatment. They took him to psychiatrist. When psychiatrist checked him, he said " This happened due to depression. His mind didn't show any willingness to accept that his Boss cheated him. " " So he will be fine?" " Yes ,surely after sometime!" Suddenly Sandip's face became pale. " Doctor I can't manage such big fees again & again." " Well then I will shift you to some hospital which work on donation or charity!" " No..no it will not that good!" " It will be nice. I will handle it trust me." Sandip nodded. From that day they started Sameer's treatment slowly he started to get improved. He was changed man. He started taking job of domestic servant & insisted on his daughters to start school again. Slowly all began to change. Sameer was no longer slave now. He was servant but not slave. He understood difference. He liked this more. He was so happy to get one son who knew how to choose friend.
