Seema's married life
Seema saw Rani's number. She was clearly not thrilled. Rani was her college friend. They used to be best friends. Truthfully Seema pretended to be her best friend. Seema didn't want to be alone in college it looked odd. In her college life she was very serious sort of student. She took her education very sincerely. While her friends were enjoying life when pshe studied. She studied very hard. She never thought that it would prove useless. Boy showed interest in her but in limited fashion like smile etc. They all know that she was not planning to waste her time on anything else except education and they didn't have any desire to change her. They started looking at other girls who were ready to go on date with them. While Rani was not like her, she was not interested in career so much. But Rani was scared of love marriage. Rani didn't want any boy to approach her. Rani had strange fear of it. Once Seema asked her cause. Rani said " My parents told me clearly that if I fall in love with someone then they will not take pany responsibility of my future. They said that they didn't get chance to judge boy so they couldn't tell anything so if results didn't turn out as I want then I must tolerate. I heard many evils of love marriage." Seema started laughing. Seema "Marriages are decided by destiny you can't tell which marriage you might do." Seema felt tears arising her eyes at that memory. After completing education she was immediately married off to Pranav. Pranav was nice looking well educated boy. But he had anger problem. He kept screaming on her at every moment. He never spoke sweetly with her. She tried to complaint but it was useless. Her parents didn't let these things came out. Her wedding was full of luxuries. She still remembered that Avenue. Every corner of it was loaded with roses she could feel their smell. At beginning it seemed so pleasant. She felt as if she landed in heaven. In that wedding her parents agreed to her every demand. After all they didn't want to take any risk. That marriage was necessary for them. She didn't knew that her Dad was expecting benefits even out of it. Her Dad felt that Pranav was from rich family so he would bring contacts. Her Dad was expecting many things from Pranav but truthfully it never happened. Pranav was aggressive in nature so no one was really attached to him. Everyone was attached to his elder brother Subhash and Subhash never liked her Dad that much. Subhash was main source of whole contact system. Subhash never wanted much connection with Seema and Pranav. He came to their marriage. He even did ritual as father since by that time Pranav's father was dead. But after that he rejected her every invitation. He made it clear by his behaviour that he was not interested in keeping contact with them. He was so upset when she decided to go and visit them on Diwali. He managed to plan foreign trip for himself and family that year. He wanted to keep away from them. Seema needed someone to support her. She didn't understand how could she handle Pranav. Pranav kept creating issue out of every thing for her. Even today she was harassed by him. She did salad of cacumber. Pranav normally liked it but today when he tasted it, he started screaming " What kind of salad you are planning to cook for me? This seem like some medicine. " She was so confused. She took it and tasted. Then she sensed that Cacumber was little bitter. She immediately apologized " Sorry. I should have tasted it." " Yes you have." Then he just threw it out of window. It landed on neighbour's head. She heard loud screams. She ran in window. She said " My God why did you throw it out of window?" " Really it upset you so much?" He gave one cruel smile and threw dish out of window too. This time she heard louder scream. She ran out. Clearly neighbour was hurt. She saw that how did Pranav managed to act with cruelty. She shivered. She didn't care what Pranav was saying. She just ran downstairs with first aid box. When she reached down , she could see anger in every one's eyes. She said " So sorry. It fall out of my hand." Suddenly one man screamed " We know Pranav lot more than you. Did he hate this dish?" She started crying. She said " I try to cook good!!" Every one looked shocked. " We are not blaming your cooking. But how did you let your husband act like that?" " So right? You need to do something to control him!!" She was so shocked. How could she control such grown up man? They were screaming on her while Pranav easily managed to sit in car and go away to office. She got abused. They totally forgot that she was not culprit. But then she was planning to take blame so she accepted all. But this way her day was started. She needed help to handle her husband but no one was giving it. She turned to her parents once. She went to meet them in afternoon. She told all to Mom. Mom " If you are planning for divorce, let me tell you we don't want it. We will not support it. Truthfully we don't want to face society after divorce case. I mean you need to understand. We don't force you in this marriage.." She was so confused. They didn't forced her to get married to Pranav but it was not love marriage. They arranged this marriage for her so they need to feel responsible too. But her Mom just denied it totally. " Mom I am not talking about divorce." At that point she was not thinking about it. She was hoping to find some solution on Pranav. She was just little upset. Mom looked relaxed. Then she started to explain Mom that how did Pranav kept getting angry on each and every thing. She decided that she needed help from Mom. She hoped that her Mom would provide some solution. Her Mom just said in sad voice " We can't change destiny." She was so confused. This was not about her destiny. She could be destined to suffer this way. But her Mom started explaining. " It was told us long ago by one astrologer that you will suffer in marriage. It can't be avoided." " Then why did you let me marry? In fact encouraged me in marrying?!!" " I don't your father did. He didn't believe in it." Seema was so upset. She wanted to scream on Mom. But she didn't. She knew that Mom was telling truth she was destined to be sad. Even today when people were screaming on her in morning she told herself same thing. She was so upset. She decided against taking Rani's call. She put her mobile on silent mode.
Rani was so confused. She was calling Seema after long time but not after so long time that she could forget her mobile number. Then Rani sensed that it was possible that her husband gave her new mobile. People often shower wives with gifts after marriage for sometime. She hoped that this would stay permanently in Seema's life. Rani saw Seema's husband Pranav once or twice. He seemed like nice man but he never chatted with her. Rani assumed that he was shy by nature and any way she was unmarried friend of Seema so preferred it when he didn't chat. She didn't like those who get over friendly with friend of wife. She knew that it always lead to wrong way. Just few managed to treat them sisterly. Rani personally liked that distance which Pranav was keeping but she was expecting just girl's picnic or going to movie with Seema at least until child was not born. But Seema was not interested in her anymore. Rani suddenly began to feel so upset. She began to think that couple might laughing on her and calling her irritating spinster. She decided against calling. But today she thought that she needed to call her since all their friends were planning get-together. She needed to at least inform her. She was only person who still had her number. All remaining people started to forget her totally. Rani didn't understand what was wrong with Seema. She knew that Seema was not that much friendly with other people but she was friendly at least with her and now she was even avoiding her. Rani started to remember their last conversation as if to find clue for break of this friendship. She was planning to understand her friend in different way but none was working. She didn't understand why did her friend began to behave like that. She didn't want to tell her entire college group about this. So she kept calling. Everything was so frustrating. She deserved better treatment. She was so upset when she didn't took call at all. That she called another friend. She told her about situation. Rani " I think she must be out of reach now. But you can call her in evening. Actually I am going out." " Forget her. You tried it's enough." Rani sensed no one was really interested in her except Rani. Rani was so confused about everything. She didn't understand what she supposed to do. Rani decided that she needed to ignore Seema but somewhere in her soul that she was not ready. Rani was curious what was wrong with Seema. Rani wanted to know what was wrong with Seema. She decided that she might visit her parent's house by giving excuse. Rani began to plan excuses to get her things done. During whole time Seema was planning for dinner. Seema was not concerned about lunch. She was only one who was eating lunch. Then soon maid entered. According to maid she was enjoying perfect life without any trouble. Seema needed to appreciate it. Seema looked at her mobile. She didn't want her maid to notice call. She was so frustrated. Those maids were no longer willing to give privacy to owner. Her maid kept taunting on her every action. Seema tried her to tell diplomatically to mind her own business but nothing seemed to working. She kept taunting. When maid noticed her in kitchen, she immediately started " What happened?" She smiled and said " Nothing!!" " But watchman was telling that sir got so angry that threw away plate out of house?" " No..no it was by mistake." Maid didn't said anything for sometime then she said " I hope you didn't cook something wrong. I mean men have taste. You need to understand. Now you are staying in house and not earning so you must cook more properly." This was taunt to her. Soon she sensed that she was lower than maid because she was not able to earn. Her household work was useless. She was so upset. She didn't understand why did she needed to keep this maid. She sometimes felt that firing her was wise decision. But she needed excuse. Maid didn't stop there. She began to dig in matter. Maid " I head sir was upset regarding some cooking. Since they were saying he threw some food item first then dish." Maid was looking at her pointedly. It seemed as if everyone thought that was her crime that Pranav was throwing plates out of window. She was so stressed that she decided to throw herself out of window next time. But she was not sure that she would die this way. She was scared that she might survive with handicap and it would horrible for her. She was so upset. She didn't understand how could she managed to get stuck in this mess. She didn't understand why did she married to Pranav. She never wanted to get that kind of husband. She wanted to marry rich man but every girl wanted life full of luxuries but that didn't mean that they would not choose to marry poor man if that man had big heart. Still they didn't try it and she did same mistake. She married to rich man for money and now she was stuck in her worst dream. She kept searching for solution but she found none. It was worst for decision of life for her. She could clearly hear her maid was taunting her. Maid was calling her nearly useless. According to maid she was staying at home so she must cook best. She must not do any mistakes in cooking. It was so stressful. Her maid started telling her how did she supposed to cook. She kept nodding every time. She didn't understand why did she felt so scared of her maid. She was no longer employer. She was not that boss that could answer with confidence. She began to feel so frustrated. She needed to keep nodding. She was feeling so sad. She began to sense that she was useless so Pranav was upset with her. She might needed to accept this. She couldn't make anyone happy. She was so sad. She kept obeying her maid on every step.
Rani decided to make perfect plan to visit Seema's parents. She decided to buy some products from chemist which was located near their house. Then she landed on door step of Seema's house. Seema's Mom was clearly not happy to see her but this was expected. Rani smiled and said " I was just purchasing near your house so decided to visit.." Seema's Mom just kept standing in doorframe. It seemed as if she was not planning to invite her inside. She kept watching her. But Rani wanted to know about Seema so she asked " Are you not going to invite me inside? " with smile. Rani never pushed herself on anyone like that but this time she began to feel it was necessary. She needed to know something about Seema's attitude. Finally Seema's Mom invited her inside. Seema's Dad was sitting in hall enjoying TV when he saw Rani he gave angry look. Rani decided to ignore him. Rani always tried to ignore Seema's Dad. He was always full of his plans. He always talked sweetly to world but he had his selfish planning on every step. On that day she was pretty sure that he wanted to throw her out of house but in few seconds he changed his face. He smiled and said " Where were you have been for so many days? You are becoming rare visitor just like my daughter. I don't understand why did you become so busy?? I mean my daughter is taking care of her husband but you are free bird?!!" He was trying to taunt her but Rani was not interested in marriage that much so she could ignore it. She smiled and said "Actually I need to handle entire house. " Step by step Rani started explaining her work inside house. Suddenly Seema's Dad lost interest in her. Seema's Mom came towards her and asked with smile. " What did you like to have tea, coffee or some juice?" " No..no I was just going ahead for some work. Actually I want to drop one invitation for Seema so wanted her postal address." Seema's Dad smiled happily and gave it. Rani was happy that everything was fine with Seema. When Rani came out of that house, she began to feel her mind was playing games with her. She was unmarried so she was trying to think that whoever get married was unhappy. She heard such things happen with psychology. She decided that she should give up her search. She didn't want to irritate Seema in her married life. Rani went back her home. Seema was very happy when Rani stopped calling her. Seema didn't want to chat with Rani. She felt so frustrated by calls. She knew that no one had understood her and she couldn't even hope it from Rani. After all Rani was such obidient child from childhood. Rani never went against wishes of her parents except in case of marriage. She heard that Rani was unmarried since Rani didn't like boys introduced to her. Seema many times wished that she should have acted like Rani. Pranav was strange man. That night he came for dinner as totally different man. He bought wonderful presents for her. He kept asking for forgiveness. He was so nice and so soft that she felt that morning was just nightmare. Many times when she noticed this change in Pranav she began to feel he might be possessed. She was not mad person but she wanted solution and it seemed most easily available one. She needed to find someone who could prove it. Now a days she was searching for solutions on internet. She began to find way to show possession. She took lemon and chilles as per instructions. She kept them slowly under their bed. Today Pranav was in good mood so he ignored her every unusual action. He didn't scream on her. She was in heaven during that time. She felt again and again that she did right thing by marrying him. She just needed to take away that evil which was possessing him time to time. Next morning when Sun fall on her face, she smiled happily. She slowly went in corner of bed and checked lemon and chilles. Lemon was crushed by their weight but it was perfect. Chillies were normal too. She was so confused when Pranav woke up. She looked at him with confusion. He was looked irritated today. He screamed " Are you planning to Crawl like baby? What's wrong with your brain? Are you mad?" She didn't say anything. She knew if she answered then issue would turn in worst way. She just kept quiet. She didn't want to turn entire feeling of yesterday in worst. She wanted to store those moments. She smiled and said " Actually my earring fallen on floor." He didn't discuss it further and went out of room. But she knew one thing now. That Pranav was not possessed. She felt so sad. He started screaming her name. He wanted her to cook breakfast for him. She did her best that day. He didn't complaint but he didn't even admire. He kept eating. Then he turned towards her. Pranav " My friends will be visiting tomorrow. Keep everything ready for them." She was so shocked. She was already irritated and tried by daily work she didn't want to increase it. She knew that his friends were not pleasant people who would appreciate her. They would taunt her. She didn't like their behaviour. She decided that she needed to excuse to escape party. She could cook but she was not planning to stay. She suddenly remembered Rani. " Actually I will cook but need to go away after it. I can't attend guests." Pranav looked at her with anger. Pranav " Why?. " " Do you remember Rani? My best friend!!" He nodded. He could clearly guess what was coming next. He said " You can go. But cook everything first. I want this party to be perfect." She nodded. But she was so scared. She needed to drag Rani in her life again for this. But she decided to do it any way. Rani was her nice friend. Rani might not able to help her but she wouldn't harm her. She decided that contacting Rani would be perfect. She checked her mobile and noticed her many calls. She started to call her before Pranav. She said slowly to him " I didn't say yes to her without confirming with you." This managed to boost his ego. He nodded and smiled happily. He ate everything that served and went away without drama. He always wanted to prove himself boss. He wanted to treat all like inferior creature. She waited with patience with hope that Rani would took her call.
Rani was doing exercises when her mobile rang. She was so irritated. She was exercising according to fixed timing. She didn't want disturbance in it. So she decided to ignore but then she felt that it was not fair some one was calling her it might be important. She stopped her exercise and turned towards mobile. She was so shocked when she noticed that Seema was calling her. She was so excited. She was waiting for this call since long time. She wanted to meet Seema. She took call. Rani " Seema where were you? I was calling you for such a long time." Seema " I want to meet you tomorrow. Can I come?" " Sure!! You are always welcome in my house and you know it." Rani said it in such a affectionate way that Seema began remember their old wonderful days she felt that Rani would understand. Seema kept asking help from so many people but no one supported her. Everyone kept ignoring or blaming her. Few showed artificial support but before public they kept appreciating Pranav. They just kept telling her one thing. He was earning pole of her life so he was important. She wanted to cry daily. She didn't remember a day after marriage when she didn't cried. Pranav was so moody. He kept creating ideas in his mind about his day. He wanted entire day to be that way if it happened everything was perfect otherwise he kept screaming. She tried hard to convince him not to act that way but it didn't work. He kept harassing all. It was not just about her. Now Seema needed someone who would help her. Seema wanted to cry even on mobile. But she didn't. She pretended. She was becoming expert in it now. She kept pretending about everything. She kept smiling when she was feeling sad. She never let anyone guess that she was not happy. She tried to tell at beginning but now she knew that it would just create gossip and she didn't want Pranav to hear it. She decided that Rani would be someone who would not gossip about it. She took deep breath. She starts preparing for next day. Her maid came. She told her about next day. Maid " You must stop to serve guests. It will look odd if you go away." She felt so confused. Maid started to taunting her more when she didn't say anything. " You must understand. Your husband is working for you so you must save his money. You must serve his guests. These are duties of wives. You must understand how hard he work at office to bring money. You must obey his every wish." She nodded. She began to feel so guilty. She sensed that she shouldn't have done so. She began to think about excuses she could make to Rani. She started to call Rani. Rani didn't took call. By this time Rani was watching movie on TV so her mobile was on silent mode. Seema was so upset. Seema kept trying. Then she called Pranav to tell him that she would cancel her meeting with friends. But Pranav was in good mood that day. He said " Don't worry. You don't need to do that." She was so happy. He was acting so nice. Then she cooked every thing as per his precautions on that day. She didn't count how many hours she wasted on it. She needed to understand what was right and what was wrong. She just felt that she needed to work hard for Pranav. Then when finally time came to go suddenly Pranav changed his mood. Pranav " You must stay." She was so upset. She didn't want to stop now. She was feeling so exhausted. She needed to relax. But Pranav began to insist that she must stop. She didn't dare to object him. She requested but he didn't listen. She called Rani and told her all. This time she was crying. Rani " Don't worry. I will come to help." She felt so nice. Rani was coming. She gave address without second thought. But when she told this Pranav, he began to abuse her. He kept screaming on her without second thought. He was so upset. She didn't understand why. She decided to call back Rani and tell her not to come. But Rani was already on the way. When Rani came, she didn't upset Pranav much. She told him nicely that she used to help Seema many times this way. She acted as if this was most common. By then Pranav's friends started coming. Pranav soon began to relax. Seema took Rani to her room. Seema started to cry and she told everything step by step to her. Rani " Why you are tolerating him?" " Since I can't earn!" " Nonsense!! You can answer him. And if he harm you, you can call Cops." " They will not help." " Who told you this?" " Every one!!" Rani " Nonsense. I think Pranav is having some mental trouble. He threw plates on people. You can't tolerate that. You need to protest." " But what if he threw me out of house." " Call Cops." Seema nodded. That day after all left. Pranav suddenly began to get more and more abusive. Seema was so confused. But she decided to try way told by Rani. She began to fight back. Seema " I know you have mental problem. You lied to me." He was shocked. He suddenly began to call sweetly. She was so confused. He confessed that he had Paranoid disorder and he was not going to psychiatrist. She insisted. Next day they took appointment. After that their troubles didn't ended but she managed to find happiness with Pranav. She knew how to handle him. Most importantly she fired that maid who suggested that she should be slave. She started managing all by herself and began to increase her friendship with Rani. It all worked. Once again her life became normal. She was happy that she called Rani. She didn't want to left Pranav now. She adjusted and he didn't act bad with her since he was guilty of hiding his health problems. She didn't want to return to her parents who never cared for her. She felt that she was better off with Pranav who at least listen to her and took suggestions of psychiatrist which made their life good.
