Maths professor
Dipti started searching for her note book. It was very important one. She knew that she must had to search in college on time. It was her first lecture of mathematics. She was not that good in mathematics. She heard her new professor was too strict. She started running and doing everything as fast as possible. She needed to go in college as soon as possible. She just kept running as fast as possible. She finally reached college. She entered in classroom. She went near group of girls who were discussing something. She wanted to find friends but it was not easy. She tried her best to show interest but they were not interested. They didn't hate her but they were not interested in chatting with her. Truthfully she was not much interested in chatting too. But today case was different she wanted to discuss about her new mathematic's teacher. She went there. No one talked with her just few girls smiled at her. It was enough. Now she could hear what they were talking. Charu was most famous girl in college. She was chatting with all. Charu " This professor is interesting man. Every one was telling he is charming." Rakhi didn't like her attitude. " Rakhi " He is professor don't talk like that about him." Charu " My God you are so old fashioned soon you start to sound like 80 years old lady." Then Charu pretended to cough and walk with stick all girls laughed. Rakhi felt hurt. But he started in such way that entire class started nodding on his each thought. He had some magic inside. But Dipti felt that it was evil magic not good one. She was not impressed. But soon she noticed that Charu was falling in love with him. She was looking at him with devoted eyes. Then she looked around class. Boys and girls both were equally impressed by his style. She soon sensed that few students were not impressed by him. They all belonged to loner category like her. Only Rakhi was one who was famous still didn't like him. That lecture was worst lecture for Dipti. Her cheeks were started to pain too much by smiling again and again. She just wanted to stop smiling but it was impossible for her. But she didn't stop smiling until finally that lecture was not over. It was too much. She had to force herself to appreciate that man who was just pretending to be good man. Her entire day went normal after that. She returned home. She was happy since her Mom told her that her Papa was coming home early. But she didn't understand who could answer her. She started searching some one who could answer her. Then she noticed Rakhi. Rakhi was sitting alone. Dipti sensed something was wrong. She slowly went near Rakhi and sat. Rakhi looked at her with anger. Dipti sensed that she didn't like to chat with her. Dipti pretended that she was searching for something under bench and went back to her bench. Then in moment Nisha came who shared bench with her. Nisha sat with her but she was always so busy in her activities that she never had time for talking with Dipti. Nisha knew everything due to extra activities. Nisha " Do you know why Charu dressed like that?" " No." "Because she wanted role of poor girl in play. She came for audition today. It was going to be Rakhi's role but now they are discussing who will be best?" Now Dipti sensed why Rakhi was upset. She knew that this was wrong. Charu was never interested in any role except role of heroin in any play until now. She didn't feel it was right. Rakhi every time did some role. Now due to Charu she was not getting any role. Dipti was feeling so sad about her. She knew Rakhi from childhood. They were friends once upon a time. Rakhi started acting from childhood. But now everything what changing it is changing step-by-step the friendship was no longer a truthful friendship it was nothing but just an hoax. And most strange thing was that she was creating drama of her selfish behaviour before all eating you everyone was going to know it was a lie in few days her she was creating the drama she told to Nisha and asked her same question. " How did I supposed to know I don't understand why she was acting like that but anyway that is not my business and that is not even your business stay away from them we are here just to gossip not to interfere remember that group is too different than us." She didn't want to add one more tension in her mind. She didn't want her Mom to start asking about that professor every day. She didn't want her name to be attached to him. She didn't even want to take his name. She just wanted to throw that man out of her system. But she knew that she needed to tolerate him every day since he was her teacher. Dipti screamed " Mom when Dad will come?" "He will not come so soon. It's just evening. What's wrong?" Her Mom came out. There was clear suspicion in her eyes. " What happened?" " Nothing Mom just casual." Mom smiled. " Okay. We can discuss it before your Papa. You never discuss without him. Papa's girl." " It's not like that. He gave such good advice. And it is not that important." " Fine..fine tell it to Papa I don't want to increase my tensions any way." Her Mom went in Kitchen. She took breathe of relief. She didn't want to hurt her Mom but her Mom never understand how to handle problem with smile. She got busy with her studies. She kept waiting for her Papa but he didn't come. Then his call came. He was going to be late again. She was so upset. Finally Mom came and sat near her. Mom " Come on!! Tell me. I am not that bad, am I?" Mom made funny face. She started laughing. Then she started telling her all. It was special moment of mother and daughter. Her Mom was her friend. Mom " Charu was too much. I mean trying to get professor?!! I mean I can understand if she was after boy but..pro professor?" " Too much!! Rakhi said same thing. But no one supported her. Now it seemed like creating issue." " But you are not part of it." She was so angry. She was not part of anything but still she was part. " Mom I am not part but I see it every day. Why don't you understand it affect me." Mom " Relax!! I mean you are not part so it's better. So it can be like adventure." Dipti nodded. Mom " So you feel that professor was really seeing parrot?" She nodded. Mom " I want to hear it every day then finally I will tell you my secret one day." Dipti looked confused and shocked. But she loved that game so she decided to play it every day. Dipti "Fine I will tell it to you every day." Then they chatted whole time. Finally Dipti felt relaxed and happy. She went to sleep after dinner. She decided that she needed to go in college early tomorrow so she must sleep soon. She couldn't wait for her Papa. But she had sleep full of nightmares on that night. When she woke up, she didn't feel usual freshness. She sensed that nightmares were exhausting her. She sensed that after something wrong was happening to her mind. Then she looked at watch. She was late. She started to run to get dressed. She wanted to reach to college on time but her heart never wanted to go there.
When Dipti entered in her class room, she was confused. There was a girl dressed in nice Punjabi suit just like her. She smiled. She felt that she found someone like her. Other girls were different than her. She had limited girls who dressed like her. When she came near her, she was shocked. It was Charu. Charu was most stylish girl in class. Even her Punjabi suits on traditional day were not simple. But this dress was so simple. It was more simple than Dipti's dress. Dipti wanted to ask someone what was wrong. But she didn't understand who could answer her. She started searching some one who could answer her. Then she noticed Rakhi. Rakhi was sitting alone. Dipti sensed something was wrong. She slowly went near Rakhi and sat. Rakhi looked at her with anger. Dipti sensed that she didn't like to chat with her. Dipti pretended that she was searching for something under bench and went back to her bench. Then in moment Nisha came who shared bench with her. Nisha sat with her but she was always so busy in her activities that she never had time for talking with Dipti. Nisha knew everything due to extra activities. Nisha " Do you know why Charu dressed like that?" " No." "Because she wanted role of poor girl in play. She came for audition today. It was going to be Rakhi's role but now they are discussing who will be best?" Now Dipti sensed why Rakhi was upset. She knew that this was wrong. Charu was never interested in any role except role of heroin in any play until now. She didn't feel it was right. Rakhi every time did some role. Now due to Charu she was not getting any role. Dipti was feeling so sad about her. She knew Rakhi from childhood. They were friends once upon a time. Rakhi started acting from childhood. But Dipti didn't like it so they started to argue since Rakhi wanted Dipti to come with her. Then Rakhi found new friends and Dipti didn't want to become friend of an actress. Dipti was not interested in dance or movies. But today Rakhi lost her passion. Dipti knew that if Charu wanted that role then she would get that role. Every time this thing happened in class. Charu never took no as answer. Then their class started. It was mathematics class. Professor came. He acted like regular professor. He asked few questions to boy whom he called parrot. Questions were simple. He admired him when he answered. That boy was happy and dispute was solved. He smiled happily. That entire lecture went ahead in perfect way. But Charu came running to him in end. But he showed least interest. He gave her answers and went ahead in next class. Charu was so upset. She went to her bench and started crying. Every one tried to console her. Even Rakhi went to reduce her sorrows. It was big drama. But it was meaningless. Dipti saw that professor never took any interest in Charu. He was always busy in his work. He was just interested in mathematics sums. But Charu was showing off as if he was dating with her. Then one notice came. It announced that Charu got role of simple girl. Suddenly Charu began to scream " Rakhi you can have it. It's your role. You can have it now. I feel as if I have cheated you and backstabbed you. I am acting in totally wrong way. I will change it all." She was talking with so much emotion. Entire class gathered around them. Nisha slowly came near Dipti. Nisha " Do you know do you know she is pretending entire drama?" " What this is shocking how could she do that to Rakhi?" Dipti was totally shocked she never expected such things from Charu this is too much. Rakhi and Charu always best friends they had special friendship between them. She had always respected that bond that special feeling of friendship where honesty was always priority. But now everything what changing it is changing step-by-step the friendship was no longer a truthful friendship it was nothing but just an hoax. She was feeling so sad about Rakhi what was happening with Rakhi was totally wrong but she didn't understand why Charu was doing it. It was their personal matter Still she was becoming part of it slowly she didn't understand why she was doing this but she was becoming part of their life too. Somewhere in the heart she began to feel that Charu was not acting normal she was behaving in totally different way she was like that before but not so much selfish. And most strange thing was that she was creating drama of her selfish behaviour before all eating you everyone was going to know it was a lie in few days her she was creating the drama she told to Nisha and asked her same question. " How did I supposed to know I don't understand why she was acting like that but anyway that is not my business and that is not even your business stay away from them we are here just to gossip not to interfere remember that group is too different than us." Dipti nodded and she agreed. Live in back to the beach and stayed away from that drama.
When Dipti reached home her Mom shocked her with a news. Mom " I am planning to start my career again. " " What career? You never told me about your any career?" " Because I am busy in up bringing you I was not interested in talking about that career in fact I have left it behind but few days ago your dad said that I am getting too much involved in you I need a break and you need a break too." " True mom you are getting too much stains about my everything so what is your career? You never mention it to me now tell me about it?" " Well I used to work at psychiatrist or Counselor before marriage in fact even before your birth I used to do Limited practice." " What? it was interesting job why did you quit it after my birth" Mom started laughing. " You can't take a baby while counselling a patient." Dipti started laughing too she sensed to stupidity of her statement. Dipti " so now you are going to be too busy." " Sure but we can adjust our time table." When did you started running everything you wanted everything to be perfect and managed it in perfect way. While doing it totally forgot about Rakhi and Charu she was just busy with her Mom. But after sometime she began to sense that she wanted to discuss with Mom. There are many things which were important to her. And she know that her Mom also had valued her opinions. She was not like other girls in college she never thought that Dipti was useless. She always felt that Dipti was intelligent girl. Dipti was so confident while discussing things with Mom. But she hated it when she get tense about it. But now since her mom was planning to start her job she began to feel that her moms tension was going to get reduced. But still she kept getting tense about Charu and Rakhi. She knew it was not her business but still she kept getting tense. She decided that she must discuss this with Mom she didn't have much option. If she kept getting tense like that she could hardly concentrate on her maths. She needed to work hard on Maths but instead of concentrating on Maths kept concentrating on problems of her friends. Dipti " Mom Charu kept creating drama after each class of maths." " What happened?" Dipti told entire episode to her Mom it was really frustrating how could she creates so much drama? She knows she need to be controlled Mom." " I know but it was not your duty and it will not become your duty honey you need to understand that you must mind your own business." " Mom you are talking as if it was my mistake it was not mom it was her mistake if she created such type of drama with so loud voice how could I supposed avoid it how can I keep my ears and eyes closed?" " I know it is hard but you have to do it. It was her problem and unless she decide to cure it you can't change it." " Problem? What did you mean by problem she didn't have any problem she is totally perfect." " Honey I am psychiatrist I can tell you about problems which you can't understand just after listening your incidence I can tell you surely that girl has some problem." " My god can it hurt others too?" " Sweetheart she will not hurt you but it might hurt your professor since she might manage to destroy his reputation by acting this way. If she will not stop this issue here. She wanted to create a big drama. She wanted something big out of this which will attract everyone's attention towards her." " But why Mom? Why did she wanted to harm that innocent man?" " Actually she didn't want to have him she just want to Grab everyone's attention. He had become target by chance. It is possible that he had become target because he also had history of mental disorder." " What Mom?" " First promise me that you will not tell this to anyone then only I will tell you all otherwise I am not going to tell you anything." "Mom you know me very well I never like back biting I hate it." " OK! Then I will tell you actually your Maths professor had mental disorder. Once he was used to be my patient but his disorder is not curable. But he can move ahead with daily life after adjusting it. He had schizophrenia. It's not curable but still he could move ahead with his life. He kept seeing parrot actually a man carrying parrot." " Oh my god that's why he asked on first lecture why did permitted a parrot in our classroom. But he is perfect now. But if she kept harassing him like that did it effects his psychology?" " I can't tell you but it might be since he was calling me yesterday he wanted to talk to me which indicate that he might have some problem due to her. It will be lot of helpful if you corporate with him. I mean you know his problem now so you can act helpful towards him. I don't want to put burden on your shoulder but if possible..." " No problem Mom I will co-operate. I will try at my best. But trust me this girl is going to do lot of harm to entire class. If you ask me I will say that she had bigger problem than him." " I know but she is not our problem. He is our patient so we supposed to handle him." Dipti was so happy that her mom was treating her like equal. She wanted to help her Mom so she decided to co-operate completely.
Next day in college she was fully determined to help. She knew that Charu was going to harassed Maths professor. She didn't understand what was Charu's problem but she was sure that she was not going to act nice at all. When she went inside college, she sensed that Charu was going to create a big drama again. She looked around. She saw that Rakhi was sitting alone in corner. She was crying slowly. Dipti sensed that Rakhi wanted to hide it from others. But Dipti sensed it. She sensed that Nisha was telling her entire truth. Charu must had taken that part also in the Play. So Rakhi got nothing but just false promises. But still Charu was getting entire sympathy none was concerned about Rakhi. It was totally wrong but everyone was getting carried away by Charu's false emotions. She was not showing truth. She was acting full time as if she was in some movie play or serial. It was so frustrating. Dipti wanted to scream on them and tell them the entire truth but she said she could not prove it. But then when she went near Charu she started to hear that story which she was telling the entire class. She was lying to entire class. She was telling stories about her date with maths professor which was totally lie. Since she knew that yesterday her professor was with her Mom in counseling session. But she knew that she could not tell this entire class she had to hide it. She knew that Charu was creating entire false scenario before that class. She decided that she might hit some other way to expose her truth. " Charu where did you meet our professor?" Charu looked at her with anger. Charu " Why did you want to know about the place? Are you planning to follow us next time? Don't worry he is not interested in you?" After hearing this Dipti lost her head. " How could you lie like that and and destroy reputation of a gentleman? You are shameless girl." Charu suddenly became red with anger. " How dare you speak like this about me!!" Charu started screaming loudly on her and started abusing her. Her voice became so loud that principal who was coming from corner hear her clearly. Principal came inside class and started asking what happened. No one answered her at beginning. Then suddenly Rakhi stood up and came near her and told her entire episode. College Principal was shocked. She never expected such a thing from professor. " So he gave that role to Charu since she was his good friend?" Dipti sensed that she had to interfere otherwise everything will turn against professor. Dipti " no Madam Charu is lying. He was in our house yesterday. Actually he was our family friend so my mom invited him for dinner. Then dad suggested that he could take vacation and they both can enjoy their favourite games. They both like same sort of video games. So he was playing video games with my dad for entire evening after college." Dipti lied. Since she could not tell truth, she promised her Mom that she would keep it a secret. She knew that if she told entire truth to principal, professor might lose his job. College Principal " Give me number of your Mom I want to talk with her." Dipti started to shiver now. She was lying to save professor according to her Mom's instruction but now she knew that her Mom didn't know anything about her lie. But before she could say anything Charu started crying loudly. They alll sensed that she was lying. College Principal " Why did you lie like that? Don't you have any respect for your teacher in your heart?" "Ma'am it was not like that I wanted to prove myself." " Prove yourself like this I don't get it? Kids study to prove them self and get good marks or do some great job to prove them self but no one think that having an affair with professor can make them great!! It is most disgusting thing. You could have thrown out of this college for that. Even that professor could have lost his job if it was true. I don't understand your attitude at all I want to talk with your parents." Charu nodded willingly. Charu " I will do as you told but please don't throw me out of this college." Everyone from that classroom was looking at her with hatred. But she didn't seem to mind it she was happy that she was getting attention. It was totally strange. Rakhi was so angry now. Rakhi" how could you act like this with me? We were so good friend for such a long time. Don't you feel guilty?" Charu just looked away. Charu "my mom and dad will come and tell you everything." College Principal" great I am going to call them immediately. Now everyone go back to their benches I don't want anyone standing like that. This matter is over according to every student in this class room. From here I will handle everything I don't want anyone to discuss this again. Am I clear? Or did anyone else want to bring their parents in college just like Charu?" Everyone ran back on their benches. No one wanted to be in trouble like Charu. Dipti was glad that finally matter was over. But she was curious that what was going to happen? One side of heart she wanted punishment for Charu. On other side she felt that this could destroy her future and her entire career so she wanted her to be forgiven. She was totally confused regarding one thing that what Charu's parents were going to tell to principal. But she knew that she was never going to know this thing. But then she thought her Mom might throw some light on this entire episode. She decided to talk with her Mom again. Then when she came out of her classroom during recess, she was shocked to see her Mom with Charu and her parents. She wanted to talk with her but her Mom told her with her eyes that she would discuss this when they reached home. So Dipti returned inside classroom. She could not able to concentrate on her studies for that entire day. She needed to know the truth. When she returned home she started waiting for her Mom, finally her mum came back and she immediately started to ask her questions. Mom " relax and take a deep breath and listen to me carefully. Charu is not doing this with intentions she also have mental disorder. It was worst coincidence that two person with mental disorder came together and that manage to create so much drama in your classroom. Charu was suffering with histronic personality disorder. In this order person did everything to seek attention from people like creating drama and trying to show those things which were not existed she just wanted to grab as much as attention possible for her." " But why did this happen to her?" " It is due to disturbance in her family actually she is not my patient she is patient of my friend but I have just taken her case. According to my knowledge even her elder brother had some mental problems so her problem came quickly in attention of psychiatrist. I just suggest you one thing if you don't like her at least don't dislike her for her problem." " Sorry mom I can't like but I will try not insult her and I will stay as much as away from her possible for me. But don't tell me to become her friend. I don't like her and I can't change it." Mom " its fine honey I don't want you to make friendship with her you can move ahead in your life as you like. I just want you not to keep grudge against her." " Fine Mom from today she will not exist for me I am going in my room and complete my studies." Mom sensed one thing that she could not reduce Dipti's anger towards Charu. But Mom knew that she could not change everything so she decided that she would not interfere. So Mom returned back to her work.
