Long night
Raja looked out of window. It was still night. He just hoped that it would turn into morning. It was always so hard for him. He wanted to sleep but his sleep seemed to gone away. He just started looking out of window. He used to sleep so nicely at nights when he was kid. He just remembered that moments he wanted to stay alive for night shows. But his eyes used to get heavy. He used to sit with his family. But he wanted to watch that television. He just couldn't. He remembered clearly that day. He did every thing in perfect way to stay awake. He drank coffee and tea. He tried all but still his eyes just used to get so heavy that he couldn't able to control his sleep. It was his wonderful childhood. But it was not days when sleep used to be on his eyes at every night. He never used to stay awake. He started understanding on any point. He just never had those thoughts that how did he get that sleep because sleep was not trouble on that time. It was solution of every trouble. It used to come on every day. It never matter if he wanted it or not. When did his sleep stop? He used to think about this every day now. Since sleep was that guest which seemed hardly come to him but worst would be effect on day. He just kept getting tired that's why he started sleeping in afternoon. But he knew that it would not substitute his night sleep. He just wanted to those nights. He had to find ways to adjust this habit. But in case of making money it was perfect. Since every place where they wanted people to work on nights for them would pay double or triple. But he just didn't want money. He also wanted life. He just wanted to talk with people in normal way. It was not as if he didn't have family, he had a nice wife and one cute son. But what was use of it. It seemed as if they were living in different time. Hina tried hard to stay awake but it was not possible. In case of his son it seemed as if they never had time to see each other, he just never managed to gather strength and by night his son was fast asleep. He just didn't know what he supposed to do. He took out bottle and started filling his glass when he heard noise of bedroom door. His ears were sharp but sometimes he felt that he couldn't complete Hina's power of smell. When he opened bottle, she came out of sleep to stop him. Sometimes he felt that she was destroying her life also. She was not sleeping properly just because she was scared that he would drink himself to death. He told her many times that it was not going to happen but she was just so scared that she just kept waking up on every time to stop him. She sat near him with eyes full of sleep. Hina " I hope you are drinking too much. I mean personally I just don't want you to drink but if you just insist then you have to limit it." " Fine sweet heart. I will not drink too much. Now don't harass yourself go to sleep. Hina looked so confused. She could stay awake but she was also too scared that he would drink too much. Raja " I promise you." She looked convinced and she went inside to sleep. He was so upset so one large night was before him. He just wished that she had stayed with him for some time. But she knew that she couldn't after all she had to get their son ready on next morning. Only if she could able to sleep, he was so upset that he went to window and started looking out of it.
Raja sensed just one thing. He wanted happiness in life but he just couldn't get it by spending nights just at home. He was feeling so depressed. He looked slowly inside. He made sure that Hina and his son was asleep. Then he slowly went to door. He went out without making noise. It was first time. He decided to take walk at night until now he never did it. At beginning it looked scary but then slowly he started enjoying it step by step. He began to like that dark and empty road. He knew that he must not walk like that in night. He knew that it was risky but he was too tired of sitting at home. He just decided that he might sit in garden. Then he suddenly had one idea. He might actually watch some night show. But then he ignored this idea. Since he could do it on each day, he needed too much money and his eyes and head might start to complain. He was so tense. He just kept walking around. He just decided to sat in garden. He looked at sky. He sensed first time that he just kept watching sky on every night so it was not new thing for him. He counted those stars many times from his gallery. Just watching them actually didn't make much difference. He didn't feel excited by it. He was started to feel bore again. He knew that he must find some thing thrilling in night to fresh him up. He just never sensed any meanings inside it. He wanted his night to be some thing interesting. He knew that it was just one day of his vacation then on every night he had to work. He had to work hard on every night. He had to do his job but one night vacations were also seemed like burden to him. He always did his night duty in perfect way in his hotel. They kept him just to arrange night parties. He knew that after some time he had to do day duty also but until now it seemed that every one was happy to have him on every night. But he get one day off in week. Then he suddenly thought that he might just go back in his hotel to do some work. He just hated idea of working. He just sat in that garden. When he heard some noise, a group of people was coming there. One thing was clear that they were drunk and they were some sort of criminal. He was so scared. He just stood up and started walking as fast as possible. He just didn't feel that walk at night was wise idea. He decided to return home. But then he started feelings so tired. He just couldn't walk ahead. He looked at empty bus stop and sat on it. Then suddenly Police man came to him. Police "What are you doing here?" "Just taking some walk." "Walk at this hour." He looked at him carefully. Police " Are you drunk?" "No..No.. little bit. I just wanted to take walk but then I found some drunk group of people who looked like small robber or some thing so I just ran away. I have not drank that much. I just want change." "From what? Did you fight with wife?" "No..No.. I just have problem with sleep. I just couldn't get it." "But you can sit in your home. Do you sense how risky this is? I mean walking like that in nights. You need to understand that it might hurt you. Some one might shoot you for that gold chain you are wearing." "Ohh..." Raja forgot totally about his gold chain. He started checking. I will not sleep so you will not get bore. You can't work like that." "No. I am fine." "Stop. This nonsense. It is hurting your health. Can't you see those dark circles under your eyes?" He sensed for first time that he didn't watch in mirror these days. Those days were far behind. Now a days he just kept thinking about nights. His nights were his troubles. He wanted them to be dealt in best way. He just kept thinking about them. Raja " I just can't imagine night without work. My imagination is having worst effect on me at night. I feel so depressed."Hina " I will stay awake." He was so upset but Hina just stood up on her point so he agreed. He decided that he would try this thing. At beginning they were chatting then soon their son appeared who was clearly upset that he was not invited. At beginning he played with son but soon he got sleepy. Hina took him inside. He kept waiting with one hope that Hina would return but that didn't happen. So he went inside. He looked in room. Hina was sleeping on bed so she forced him to take leave and then she went to sleep. He just hated her. In fact he just hated himself and his habits. He never wanted to be like that. He just felt that he had it enough. He looked at his son whom he hardly able to knew. He felt as if his whole life was nothing but staying away from light. He just spent every moment in darkness. His heart had always desire for light. He always kept wondering when he would have that day. He was so upset. He knew that he was never going to get it. He knew that he had nothing worthy to live in life. He was so upset. He just went in his room. He was so angry that he just cut his hand without thinking. It started bleeding. He began to feel unbearable pain when Hina came running in room. He sensed that she must had woke up and came running. He sensed one thing from heart that he gave judgement too soon regarding her. She was so scared. She began screaming " What have you done?" She didn't even remember that their son would come out. Raja's worst fear turned into truth when his son came out and started searching for some thing which would stop his bleeding. At that age he didn't let himself get scared. He fought his fear while his Dad, Raja did most cowardly thing. He sensed one thing that he did biggest mistake. He wanted to time to turn back but he knew that he couldn't. He knew that he had to call his Doctor and his whole stupidity was going to come in light. It was worst for him. But still he told Hina Doctor's number. He was immediately taken by ambulance. It was all worst. They had to convince Police to drop case and every one was looking at him in strange way. Some people were even looking at Hina as if she had done some mistake. Finally when he went inside and Doctor gave him sedative. He managed to sleep for first time in night. Nothing was working on him but Doctor's medicine was greatest.
When Raja woke up, one nurse was there who immediately called a doctor. It was clear and his wife had put him in good hospital. But he didn't see her around. Raja sat in bed. Nurse came running with one trainee Doctor. Raja knew that it was just his wrong guess. That Trainee Doctor " So you are awake?" "Yes. Where is my wife? " "Police said you must not talk with any one before them." Raja was so shocked so Hina was getting blame for his mistake. Raja " I did it because I was depress. It was not her mistake. I did it.." "Now don't tell it to me. Talk to Police." Then suddenly Police entered. He was with another junior. He started telling him same thing. Police " Are you telling me that you killed yourself just because you can't able to sleep at night?" Now suddenly Raja was so angry. He couldn't control himself. He began to scream on that Police. Raja " You stupid fellow. Don't you understand value of sleep?" That Police was so shocked. Police " You are calling a Police man stupid? Are you out of your mind?" He began to feel so much anger. "Yes..yes.." He started throwing things. He began to scream on top of his lung that he wanted to sleep at nights. He just kept screaming until finally nurse came and injected him. Police wrote all this and went out to Hina. Police " Did he really had that problem?" "Yes for years. It was even before I married to him." "My god. Then why didn't he went to Doctor?" "I don't know. But can Doctor cure it?" "Come on. You suppose to go to Doctor for every problem then Doctor tells you if medical science can cure it or not. People even go to Doctor for last stag of cancer and you don't even for simple Insomnia!!" "He was looking normal." "By which angle? He looked totally wrong to me by every angle." It was not safe to keep him in hospital. She just wished only if her sister came and at least took him. But she knew that she would not do it. Her sister never cared for her. Any way her sister was too lazy to care for any one. Then suddenly she saw that Raja's Uncle and auntie coming. She didn't think about any thing just went in Auntie's arm and started crying. Auntie " Relax Honey. I just didn't understand how could Raja act this way? Don't worry. We will treat him." Uncle " Why don't you call us? That Police call us from Raja's number to inquire about you and him. It is so wrong. You should have phoned us." She wanted to apologize but she just kept crying and Auntie kept consoling her.

Auntie " We tried but he just ran out of house after all he was college student by that time. He could easily go any where. But he was without money. He was sleeping on road. Sorry not sleeping. Walking at night on road. It was horrible so we just decided to forget it. It was so hard for us. He wanted to stay that way you let him. But it took such worst turn now. He tried to do suicide." Psychiatrist " It is clear case of post traumatic symptoms which lead to depression. That lack of sleep is due to fear of those nightmares and slowly he managed to adjust body in wrong way which leaded further troubles for him. As per this case paper he slowly began to develop desire of living normal life but he couldn't have it since his body managed to turn in totally wrong way. So we need to change his body circle. By doing that he could have normal life and he will be happy. In hospital we will manage it. Then we will explain procedure to him. Just relax. We will do it." "Thanks. Until now Raja was happy with his life so they kept quiet. Now they decided that they must force him now so they went towards his room with full determination to force him to take treatment. That lack of sleep is due to fear of those nightmares and slowly he managed to adjust body in wrong way which leaded further troubles for him. As per this case paper he slowly began to develop desire of living normal life but he couldn't have it since his body managed to turn in totally wrong way. So we need to change his body circle. By doing that he could have normal life and he will be happy. In hospital we will manage it. Then we will explain procedure to him. Just relax. We will do it." "Thanks.
