Adventure story. 583. Negative character

                                   Negative character 

When wind started to play with Radhika’s hair, she wanted steady her mind. She began to get restless. She didn’t like touch of wind. She never understood why. She hated when wind started to touch her. She began to shiver. She sensed unique feeling. She began to get restless. She wanted hopes. But she kept feeling sad. She didn’t understand it’s cause. Her life was great. She had great earnings. She began her new project. Her beauty was increasing due to her special diet. She was needed to feel happy. She was not feeling it. Dhruv was waiting for her. He was always so nice. But she could see his daily attachments in gossips. She knew that she must not pay attention to gossips but she did. How hard she might needed to concentrate on positive side. She kept thinking negatively about her life. She kept getting upset & restless. It was so frustrating. She didn’t understand what did she wanted. She knew that she was planning to marry Dhruv. But on other side of her heart she didn’t want to commit. She didn’t understand what did she wanted. She was feeling so sad. She suddenly began to feel that Dhruv was her problem. She might needed to just change him. She smiled at that thought. She was no longer interested in him. He was cause of her trouble. It was decided. She looked around. In her room she had all things she decided to buy but she kept getting irritated by them time to time. She didn’t understand why. She was feeling so strange in her heart. She looked towards her reflection. She was one modern girl. She looked like some model of Shampoo Advertisement. She kept her hairs so perfect. But suddenly she didn’t want them. She didn’t understand why? Then she began to get upset. She began to think she wanted to dress in different way. She didn’t understand why. She started to feel sad. She wanted to feel happy so she began to think positively again. She wanted to feel hope. She suddenly began to cut hairs. She sensed that she needed to cut them. She didn’t even feel that she was cutting them without beauticians. She didn’t care. She managed to get different haircut. She smiled towards it. Her Mom used to arrange hair before mirror & cut them. She cut it in same way. She never mentioned her Mom. She smiled sweetly. She began to see her childhood face. She was once again small girl from school. She started laughing. She was laughing so happy that she didn’t sense her Mum came. She called her step Mom Mum. She never discussed her Mom. She didn’t want to hurt her step Mom. But she knew that she remembered her Mom sometimes. Mum gave her shocked look. Mum “ Honey Dhruv is coming in few seconds & why did you destroy your perfect hair.” Her Mum was collecting her hair which had fallen down after she cut them. Her Mum was so sad. Radhika gave her angry look. “ Mum don’t worry these hair will suit my role more.” She smiled happily. She was right. She was trying for role of struggling woman who was staying in slumber. Her Mum didn’t seem to agree with her. “ You don’t need to cut them. You could have wore wig!” “ No need.” She took purse & said “ I am going for audition.” “ Now?! But Dhruv will come today..” “ Mum stop giving so importance to him! He always put his career before me didn’t he?” Her Mum didn’t say anything since Mum couldn’t deny number of lunches & dinners canceled due to his work. In fact he didn’t fix that much dates. He was always busy in his career. Mum knew that he ignored Radhika but he was so perfect. Actually Radhika was her perfect daughter. She was that daughter which she desired. Her daughter Meena was disappointment to her. Meena always kept to herself. Meena didn’t plan any career. In fact Mum was sure going to need to work hard to get one husband for her. Mum disliked Meena. Mum’s entire affection towards Meena was totally fake. She didn’t care about her. She knew that Radhika was not her daughter but she was more that daughter to her. Radhika always tried to work. Radhika always tried to find some way to make victory while Meena kept just taking defeat after defeat. She didn’t expect much from Meena. At beginning Mum felt that Radhika was wrong then she felt that Radhika was right. Mum said “ You are right. Career is important. You must go. Don’t worry I will tell Dhruv.” Radhika nodded. Radhika didn't care for Dhruv any more. She immediately reached to that spot. She was so shocked. She didn’t understand what was happening. There was big crowd. She asked what happened. They told that heroine was fallen from staircase. She was shocked. But then she suddenly sensed that Director was calling. She ran towards him. Director “ This small scene . This is scene of just side heroine. We took this big star but now that her leg was hurt. She can’t perform & we don’t want to waste more money on shooting. She was also tired. She didn’t want to do it any more. She will teach you just do as she says.” Radhika nodded. She went to that heroin. Heroine taught her perfectly. She did it on camera as she told. Director was very happy & they completed all parts. Then they gave her payment. Since they had already given money to Heroine. She just shifted it in Radhika’s account. Radhika said that it was extra but Heroine insisted. Heroine was so happy to get rid of it. Heroine said “ It was just advance & truly I like your performance. Now I am no longer young so I need a girl like you with me. Give me your number.” She gave it. Then that Heroine went away. She smiled happily. She went back to home. She was so tired. She just fall on bed & went to sleep. She didn’t even think about calling Dhruv. Suddenly she just wanted to forget him. She began to watch her curls in mirror. They managed to set them in perfect way. She cut them all wrong but they adjusted them. Now she looked like her Mom’s little girl. She knew that her Mum considered her daughter but she was daughter of her Mom. Her Mom was Swati. A perfect actress! Her Mom never performed since her grandparents never permitted but she knew that her Mom loved acting. She started laughing to herself. She was so happy. She was laughing even in her sleep.

     Dhruv waited for her call for hours. Radhika’s Mum called her but he was expecting at least one message from Radhika but nothing appeared. He was always surrounded by people & no one ignored him like Radhika did. It was so frustrating. He knew that he needed to find someone else. He wanted Radhika but if she didn’t care. He could search another girl. He was positive about it. Then he decided to not spend his day in house. He just searched in his diary. He found one actress. She was nice side actress. He could flirt with her for one day & then he could get over it. No one was going to make much issue of it. He wanted to teach lesson to Radhika but not planning to change her so soon. It was interesting to try to hide new girlfriend. He was so angry on that point that he just decided that he needed one. He immediately called that actress. Rose was more than happy to go out with him. She declared that she would do anything for him. Rose told him that she was his best friend. It was so funny. He liked when someone started flattering him like that. He knew that he was not planning to marry Rose but it was nice to spend some time with her. He got dressed up. He didn’t even sense how much he got ready to please Rose. He was just thinking that he needed to teach lesson to Radhika. Dhruv got ready in perfect way. When he reached to Rose’s home, she was dressed up for him like barbie doll. They both hugged each other without second thought as friends. Then they went to five star hotel. He gave her a pretty red rose. He said with smile “ Rose for Rose!” They both laughed. Then they got in normal conversation. He laughed & enjoyed every moment. Then they planned for movie. They went to late night movie. He didn’t do anything which might appear like they were on date. He kept keeping suitable distance. He came back home. His parents were not staying with him. They were in village so he was happy about it. He wanted privacy & he was not interested in agriculture. His Dad was so upset by it. They had big land. Now as his parents started to grow older. He knew that soon they needed to sell land & shift near him. But his parents were not interested. It seemed as if a bond between them was already broken. His parents wanted to stay in village until end. His Dad managed to find few people who would work honestly for him. So he was one more son from village who left his parents to follow his dreams. It was not new or shocking. But he sensed one thing that his parents were not interested in him too. Day by day their phones started to get reduce. They started to get busy in their life. It was upsetting for them when he came to village. He was something which they didn’t understand. So when he came late no one was there to question. He smiled while remembering how did he enjoyed day with Rose. He began to think that he could always enjoy her company time to time. He knew that Radhika would understand. He texted Radhika that he went on dinner with Rose. Next morning when Radhika woke up, she saw his message. She read it. She smiled happily. She didn’t want a drama from him regarding her absence. She was expecting new role. But she was not so sure. Then she was shocked when PA of that actress called. Her role was not lead but she didn’t care. In fact it was negative role but she was happy. She didn’t understand why she suddenly wanted to change all. She wanted to play negative roles. She called herself in mirror. With that hair style she would look like perfect negative character. She smiled. When her Mum came, she just said she got a role. She ran to studio . She was so happy when her character was described to her. She didn’t understand her change but she was become daughter of her Mom. Her real mother was not so sweet. She remembered her & started planning. She knew that her Mom was planning to get all property. She still remembered how did her Mom planned to remove her grandparents soon. Her Mom didn’t do anything direct. She just kept talking about her grandmother’s dead younger family members. Slowly her grandmother started to feel obsession in joining them. It was so interesting. She was small on that time. She didn’t understand much. But now she understood all. She knew that this character was part of her blood. She was just like her Mom. Her Step mother Mum kept trying to make her daughter but she was more like Meena. Meena never took much interest in anything. Radhika smiled. She knew that how hard it was for Meena to copy her. Meena tried it for sometime but now she gave up. Meena was so happy in her easy life. But Radhika was so happy with this role. She began to pose. She started her dialogues. Soon she sensed that she began to become like her mother. She started to feel so happy with herself. Director & Producer both clapped after it. Every one was admiring it. She did it in perfect way. They all wanted her to do more & she wanted to do it all. In fact all scenes from her mother was becoming more & more alive. She was so happy. She didn’t care when Dhruv did call to her. Dhruv was busy with work but he was expecting Radhika’s call but instead Rose called him. He began to sense that Rose was expecting more that just friendship. He slowly explained her that Radhika was still his love. Rose looked upset. Rose immediately added “ I know. You made it clear yesterday but I kept feeling hopeful . It was frustrating. I know it was my mistake just ignore it.” Then Rose disconnected her call but he knew one thing that their friendship was over. He didn’t understand why he break this friendship. He knew very well he encouraged Rose. He knew that his parents wouldn’t approve it. He didn’t want to marry against their wishes. They liked Radhika so Radhika was perfect. He decided to call Radhika. Dhruv wanted to tell all to Radhika but she just started to tell that she was too tired. She was so tired that she started yawning. He had no option but to say Good Night to her. He did it & disconnected call. She slept peacefully but he couldn’t able to sleep. 

      For a three months Dhruv went to his work whole time he kept doing mistakes. He began to get upset. Finally his Boss got so angry that Boss sent him home. He did modelling as hobby. But he needed to do job for earning. He purchased many luxurious things on instalments. He needed to pay for it. He knew due to Radhika his entire life turned upside down. He wanted to feel normal & happy. He started to call Radhika with hope that she would have time for him on that day. She took call. She declared immediately that she was busy. He told her “ Are you not serious about our relationship & marriage?” She suddenly became quiet. Then her voice sounded different & she said “ No. I want to become actress. I am actress now. I don’t need you.” Then she started laughing like negative character of movie. She began to act even on mobile like some Vamp. He was so confused. He started to think that she was joking. He gave nervous laugh & asked “ You are joking?” “ No I am not. Actually I am one Vamp. I hate all of you. I just enjoy money.” She was speaking in such strange way. He started to get tense. He knew that she was talking but still she seemed so different as if some was possessed. He told himself that it was impossible. But he decided to visit her any way. He took Taxi instead of driving. He was so stressed. He finally landed in Studio. He inquired about her & after trying hard finally he found place where she shooting her shot. She was looking so different. He needed to look carefully at her to recognise her. He felt so sad. She was no longer his innocent Radhika. She was so different. He decided that they might needed to just break up. But he didn’t want to be left alone. He couldn’t marry Rose. He didn’t want to search for new girl. He was so upset. He waited for hours. Then finally Radhika came out. He smiled towards her. But she didn’t respond. At beginning Radhika was involved in her character that she forgot about her life totally. Then she took deep breath. She tried to tell herself that she needed to enter back in her world. On that time for first time she sensed that she began to become like that character. She totally forgot her true self. She didn’t want to express it She didn’t even remember Radhika. On that point when she looked towards Dhruv she sensed that something was wrong with her. She was feeling so sad & upset. But she decided to hide it. She didn’t want to be declared mad. She began to sense she just didn’t need Dhruv. She said quietly “I am busy.” Dhruv was observing her face. He was expecting her rejection but she didn’t recognise him. He sensed it. Dhruv asked “ What’s wrong with you?” She gave angry look. Radhika “ I am not in love with you. That’s all.” She literally screamed it. He got nervous. He wanted to cry. He was embarrassed. But he just smiled. Then he suddenly removed his ring. He said “ I just came to return it.” All people around them looked nervous. She nodded. She took it & returned him. He took back & went away. He knew that he would cry for some time. But it was better than crying for entire life. He didn’t want to discuss this with anyone. Radhika didn’t sense what she was doing. But she returned to her work. She kept acting in best way. She noticed all were observing her. Most of them had shock. Some would criticise her & some would admire but she knew one thing that she was involved in her role. She wanted to make it properly. She felt as if her life was dependent on it. She kept doing her role. She returned home. She didn’t told anything to her Mum. But her Mum noticed that her finger ring was missing. Mum immediately asked “ Where is ring?” “ I given it back. Our engagement is broken.” Mum tried to ask questions. But she just said “ I am too tired. Let me concentrate on career.” Mum said nothing. Her Dad came home. Her Dad looked so shocked when he saw her. Her Dad was so busy in his work that he never wasted much time on her. He was gone for trip of three months . He didn’t say anything but he said slowly “ You are looking like your Mom.” Mum looked so shocked. They never mentioned her mother. Radhika smiled & said “ I am Mom. I have her inside.” She began to laugh strange way. Then she ate dinner & went in room. Her parents didn’t understand her words. Meena said slowly “ Have you saw her doing those rehearsals? I saw! She sounded like different person.” Mum “ I think she need help.” Her Dad called Psychiatrist without second thought & took appointment. Next day when they insisted on appointment they thought Radhika would object but she agreed willingly. Radhika didn’t able to concentrate on her present. She knew that she was getting too involved in that character. She decided to visit Psychiatrist. But Radhika was scared of one thing that it might affect her acting. When she told Director about one day off. Director laughed. Director said “ Do you got confused in timing? We are working for three months & you managed to complete your whole role! You are free now. You just need to give some close ups & we will manage them!” She thanked Director. She couldn’t believe she worked so hard. She thanked Director & disconnected call. She wanted to cry now. She wanted to become like that character now it was over. She was empty shell without soul. She started crying loudly. Her Mum came inside room. Her Mum hugged Radhika tightly. Her Mum sensed that something was wrong. Her Mum kept consoling her. It was so problematic for all. They couldn’t able to rest for moment. Radhika was crying & crying. Finally Dad called Psychiatrist again. Psychiatrist gave them emergency appointment. They took her to Psychiatrist. Radhika was looking so sad. It seemed as if her soul was not inside her body.

     When Psychiatrist called Radhika inside, they all went. But then Psychiatrist suggested that he wanted to talk with Radhika. Then slowly they discussed all. She told Psychiatrist that how did her Mom plotted all. It was just bad luck that she died & her step Mom received all. She was sure her Mom was not happy about it. On one point Radhika even started to think she might be possessed by her Mom. Then step by step Psychiatrist started to console her. She sensed that it was impossible. Psychiatrist explained “ You loved your Mom in spite of her evil attitude. You wanted her but when she died you no longer wanted her. You know she was evil. But somewhere in your heart you still love her. Your Mum is kind & nice. Your Mom was evil & wrong. Still you like that evil person like kind person & it is not crime. You never supported her did you?” She moved her positively. “ Once I gave one medicine to Grandpa since she told me. I don’t want to but she forced & I gave up. Grandpa died!” She started crying loudly. Psychiatrist said  slowly “ You were child. You don’t understand what you were giving, did you?” “ No I thought it will just cause stomach troubles.” “ So it was not your mistake. Your Mom did it.” Psychiatrist kept discussing with her for hours. She kept telling all for hours. Finally Psychiatrist called her parents. She was scared that he might tell them but he didn’t. She understood that she was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. She could get over her mother’s death. Psychiatrist didn’t told about her guilt. Then slowly as days went ahead. She started feeling normal. She didn’t know how but Dhruv found out about her mental issues. He came to meet her. But it was just as friend. She accepted it as friend too. She wanted to start her life properly once again. She began to take new roles. She remained stuck to negative one. She never told her mistake to anyone but she learnt to live with it. She sensed one thing that she must not obey anyone without second thought. She began to get success in career & managed to live her life happily. But whenever she saw photo of her Grandpa she couldn’t help herself from apologising. Psychiatrist taught her to accept her sin & live with it. That was her punishment & she accepted it with peaceful mind.
