A trap
Satish was studying. He wanted to study books. He needed to concentrate on chapters. He wanted to score good marks. He needed to pass enterance test. He wanted to keep studying more and more. He needed to understand each word from that chapter. He must concentrate on each point since he wanted to earn more marks. He needed to study with full concentration. He began to learn every concept. He needed to understand which thought was creating wonderful impact on mind. He wanted to study every word. He knew that education was his only way to escape from this madness. His family was very strange. They didn't believe anything modern. They had their faith and they kept insisting it on each family member. His sister Rati was peaceful and quiet girl. She always kept obeying. He didn't like her attitude but he knew that it was perfect for his parents so he never objected it. He kept admiring her before people. In his heart he didn't feel it. He just wanted to escape from house. He was studying hard that day when he completed his first chapter his sister Rati came in his room. She was totally breathless and sweating. He felt so shocked. He never saw her this way. He asked " What happened?" " A man is watching inside house from that window!!" He couldn't believe this. This was something out of movie. It couldn't be happening in real life. He ran towards window. He saw crowd on road. He could see many people. Few were watching towards their house but no one seemed so specific. Rita was standing behind him. Rita began to point towards one corner to road. He began to look towards corner. A man was standing there. But he was not looking specifically towards their house. Satish was confused, He didn't understand that Rita was pointing towards whom. Then Rita ran inside and called Mom. Her Mom came running towards window. She pointed and said "Mom did you see that man?" Mom started looking towards that man too. Satish was expecting Mom to ask what was wrong in that man. But instead of that Mom said " So this is that evil man." Rita began to smile happily. Satish was shocked. Satish " What is evil about that man?" Mom smiled and said " You don't know but Rita met one powerful spiritual soul. He always tell and guide entire family. He gave this book." His Mom went out of room running. Satish " What's wrong with her?" Rati started laughing. Rati " They got new interesting book." " What book?" " A book which will decide our future!! I personally managed it." Satish felt that it was just joke. He started laughing then he stopped. He sensed that Rati was looking towards him with anger. Satish " What happened? This is joke! Right?!!" " No. This is not joke. Our parents believe in rituals. I want to show them way so I found one spiritual mentor and book. It is perfect. Now they will obey me." "Nonsense!! You can't fool them like that." She started laughing. Then suddenly Mom came back. She pushed book in his hand. It looked like some second hand book from some shop which stood on corner of road. He kept looking at him with shock. He kept observing books. He didn't see any extraordinary in it. He was so confused. He was observing perfectly normal book. But Mom was showing it in a way as if it was a precious treasure. He wanted to object but he didn't dare. He normally didn't object their superstitions since it took entire issue in wrong way. His parents began to scream on him. He noticed that it would get punishment due to it. Once his Mom was telling him that they all must not go out before 8 am. He didn't planning to go but he just said " Mom these are just superstitions. A foolishness!!" His teacher convinced this in school so he said it without second thought and his father started screaming on him. Dad " You are acting against wishes of great power of this world. It will punish you. Do you know how small you are before God?!!" Now Satish was confused. He didn't said anything against God. He didn't feel that God was telling him all those rules. He was so confused. His Dad moved toward him in sinister way as if he was going to slap him. Satish shivered and moved behind. He was small helpless. He couldn't fight back. He shivered. He didn't understand what he supposed to do. He decided that he needed to take apologize. " I am sorry Dad. I don't mean it. I know I said wrong thing. " Mom " He is small boy. Someone put this nonsense in his head. He would not say such things again. Touch your father's feet and apologize." He shivered and did it. He was so shocked. He didn't mean to create such big issue. Dad " You will not give him any sweet for a month." He felt so upset. He couldn't survive without sweets on those days. But his Mom didn't say anything just nodded. He didn't understand what he supposed to do. He just fell on his father's feet and started crying. Finally his Dad said " Fine..fine if you do this chanting for hundred times in loud voice. You will be forgiven." He nodded. He did it loudly. His throat was paining but he was not permitted to stop. Finally when it was over, he needed to go to Doctor. Doctor was confused regarding his condition of thoart but he gave him medicine anyway. After that he never argued so even this time without second thought. He took this book and touched his forehead to it and said " Ohh great Lord forgive my sins." Mom smiled and happily and Rita smiled with more cunningly. He knew that it was Rita's game but he didn't want to go against it. He just wanted money for his education and needs. He looked at Rita hopefully. Rita immediately said " Mom Satish must go to east and do some charity. Give him Rs. 2000." Satish felt shocked when Mom gave immediately. Satish touched Rita's feet without second thought and Rita smiled. Satish didn't understand what was going on. But he just wanted money to complete his education and escape. If Rita would give him that money, he could do anything for her. He just took money and left his house. He didn't understand which way life was going but he didn't plan to object it. He just wanted escape from house.
Rita was so happy. She was shy once so always bullied. Her Dad had strange faiths. He always kept targeting her for them. One day he told her to do fast for entire day. She wanted to eat but when her Dad told her, she needed to do it. Then one day they took her to one spiritual leader who kept talking about her in wrong way. She didn't like it. He kept holding her hand again and again during prayers. She tried to pull it but her Dad gave her angry look. She was so scared of him. She didn't dare to take away her hand. She was so upset. She still remembered that spiritual leader. His eyes on her!! She wanted to protest but she couldn't point out anything. He was smart enough to pretend in right way. He kept holding hand but he kept showing others that he was doing some ritual. She wanted to object. She could see his strange smile. She could sense the way his fingers moving towards her. She kept moving away from him. But her Dad kept screaming that she must stay on her place. Then one day she finally ran away from there. Luckily it managed to embarrass her Dad. He came back and started abusing her. She felt so hurt. She still remembered how did her Mom cried since she break that wonderful ritual. She kept telling that it happened by mistake. But nothing worked. After that her Dad forced her to keep fast for two days. She was not even permitted to drink water. She was ordered to sit on one place. She needed to take two days vacation from school and her couching class. Her parents told truth to everyone. When she returned to school, she was feeling so weak. She was subject of amusement for other kids. She kept telling them that it was not big thing. But she was feeling so weak that this pretending was hardly helping. In entire school she became object of amusement. Teachers kept either taunting, sympathizing or admiring her. She disliked those teachers who admired her. She wanted to scream on top of her lung " I forced to do it. My father is inhuman. Please help me." But she didn't dare since she knew that they couldn't support her. They knew her parents would harass her more. She kept quiet but from that day she started planning. She needed to control their mind. She needed to find some way to become that spiritual leader for whom they could do anything. She knew that it was not easy but she knew that she could do it if she decided to do it. She began to plan. She knew that she needed a man who could pretend for her. She needed to change herself. She couldn't handle all this while keeping shy attitude so she decided to change her attitude. She went in school in normal way but then in school she began to get bold. She started to chat with different people. Soon she started to make friendship with boys too. She kept them at distance. But truthfully they were not of that nature. They remained nice to her. They were friendly to her but they never showed any wrong intentions towards her. They were after some actresses. She was not that exciting in their views. She was so happy. But other girls from classroom started to taunt her. It was so frustrating. She needed to find friends. These people were not ready to help her but when she managed to find new friends they were jealous of her. She knew that these girls wanted to live life just like her where they were sarrounded by boys as she was. Those boys didn't care for her. But when those boys laughed and joked with her. It seemed as if she was famous in boys. She liked it. She was planning to dominate her parents with their help. But for getting that help she needed to work hard. She needed to find way. She started to make close friendship with Vishal and Sandip. They were most creative one. They also had trouble with their parents. They understood her trouble. They showed full sympathy towards her. Sandip " Parents never sense our feelings. They just push their agenda." Vishal " So true my parents just want me to study in abroad when I want to stay here with Grandma. They want money.. money.. money." Rita was so happy. She found cage birds like her. She was so happy. She started wandering with them. She knew girls from school were talking about her. But she knew that no one would talk with her parents. They didn't like to keep any connections with her parents. Her parents were famous for their strange superstitious behaviour. Entire town looked at them in strange way. But no one said anything on face. She noticed that few people even took suggestions from them when they were stressed. Like they did few rituals to get success. Those who get it started admiring it and those who didn't manage to ignore it. So her parents started to get famous step by step for their rituals. She hated them but she confessed no one. Other girls were scared of her due to her parents. They never interfered in her life. She was happy in this life. Sandip and Vishal both were wonderful friends. Everything was wonderful until they didn't reach to college age. On that point they all decided to go in college. As soon as they entered in college things were changed. They started looking towards all in different way. They suddenly began to talk about girls in different way. They didn't come to chat with her that much at beginning. They seemed to have shift her interest. Soon she sensed her plan became useless. She needed to find her own way. Sandip and Vishal were started going there own way so she started to found another source. One day she located this book and she began her master plan. She put it near her Dad's bed in night. She draw different picture on it and just wrote on initial on it. That was ' R' and she waited for results. She still remembered that night she was so restless. She was not sure what would happen next day. She wanted to see results. She was not sure that her Dad would take it seriously but when she went out she saw her parents were performing ritual of holy book on book she kept. She went in bathroom. She took bath then she came out like good girl and sat with them. She still remembered that day of her success.
Rita managed to convince her parents that she had special power. It was wonderful feeling. She could do anything now. Her Dad was touching her feet daily. For achieving this she played another game. Her Dad was sending one tender. He was tense about. She began to do inquires. Soon she managed to make friendship with one clerk. She was nice lady. She was ready to tell her whose tender was going to come out just one hour before time. She didn't ask her to change it but just suggested that she should just tell her. That clerk didn't need to cheat since after opening tender. It didn't made to public so soon. Few important people could know it but not her Dad. So she decided that it was best opportunity. She started to taking information. Then she began to show it as intuition. Her Dad began to believe her so now she started to rule her entire house. Today she decided to show one favour on Satish. She wanted him to stand on her side. She didn't want him to go against her. She was not scared of him. But she didn't want him to create trouble. She knew his big plans. She knew that he wanted money for going out. She was not planning to give it to him. She wanted him to stay in this house. She wanted him to become her slave. He was needed to take care of her parents. But she was not going to say it now. She saw him taking money. She was happy that he was getting fooled. Satish went out with that money. He was smiling happily. He thought that Rita wanted to dominate that entire house. He didn't have any problem with that. He didn't want that house. He just wanted to run out of it. He felt that she would surely provide him with resource to move away. That day he went in school. He was discussing his future with his friends when he found one class of foreign language there. He wanted to go out and get nice job then he could avoid entire home. He felt that she wanted him out of their house and he was ready for it. He just wanted to stay happily. He decided that he was not interested in staying in that house. But he needed to convince Rita to provide money for these classes. He took all information and he was so sure that she would help him. He was always so wonderful to her. He never abused her. When Dad tried to force those rituals on her, few times he tried to protest. He knew that his protests were useless and weak but he tried. He always wanted to become strong brother for his sister. But his Dad managed to push him down on every moment. He wanted to prove himself great. But he felt that his sister Rita must sensed it. His efforts to help. He took all information. When he entered in house, he kept talking nicely to all. Then he slowly turned to Rita. He began to explain her his plan. Rita didn't like it. She began to feel that Satish was trying to use her. Until now she never felt his help in anything. She always felt that he was selfish. She felt same thing now. Rita " Why did you explain me?" Satish was so confused. He didn't understand what was her meaning. She was taking control of house. "Because I feel you can convince Dad!!" " How could I do that?" She just ignored him. She started working on her project. Then he turned to his Mom. He began to explain Mom. He noticed that she began to like his idea. He was so happy. He wanted her to convince Dad. Then he went in room with full confidence and he would get chance. Rita didn't like this at all. But she felt confident that Dad would not appreciate his nonsense. She smiled after thinking about her Dad's angry outburst. She thought that she would not interfere until they didn't decide to cancel his punishment. She smiled happily while Satish completed his studies. He managed to finish his homework. He did some extra work. He didn't sense when time of dinner came. He went out. He saw his Dad was in good mood. He thought that it was perfect timing and sat near him. He started explaining his plans to Dad and he was shocked when he agreed. Satish was so happy. Dad " This is something different. But I heard many people learn different language." Rati was so shocked. She couldn't tolerate this. She just took deep breath and began to move her finger in hot curry. Her finger was burning. She could sense horrible pain but she wanted to control her Dad so it was needful. She smiled and turned towards her Dad. " Do you sense what was meaning of sending him away?" Her Dad asked with confusion " What?" He didn't notice her finger on this point. But Mom noticed. Mom screamed " Stop this." Her Dad and Satish looked towards her. They all shivered. " You must not send him away otherwise you will pay for it." His Dad nodded. Satish was so shocked. Satish screamed " She is pretending." But his Dad gave him a look which managed to tell him that he must keep quiet. He didn't like it. He wanted to curse her but he didn't. He just went in his room and started crying. He wanted to join that class to go away from this house . He wanted to enjoy normal life. This house was full of madness. He started crying. He didn't want to stay there. He wanted to live normal life. His life was getting destroyed here. But he sensed one thing that now Rati had control of their minds. They would just obey her. He knew that they would not let him live his life. He wanted to die. He didn't want to spend entire life under thumb of his sister. He began to feel so frustrated. He started to find something which could kill him. He started searching but then he suddenly felt that he didn't need to hurry up. He was just in school. He could get some chance in college. He took deep breath and relaxed himself. He knew that all was not lost. He could keep searching for person who would help him. He began to feel relaxed. He sensed that he needed to study hard. He ran towards book and started studying.
In hall Rati was so happy. Her Dad obeyed her. She saw that he was not planning to send Satish to that class any more. Then her Dad gave her sweet smile. Dad " You are our true guardian of this world." She started smiling happily. She knew that she managed to make big success. Now her family would obey just her. Then her Dad said " Do you like to drink some fresh apple juice I just brought." She was not truly interested in drinking it. But she nodded just to please her Dad. Her Dad smiled and ran to kitchen. Mom smiled towards her and hurried in kitchen behind him. She knew that Mom was going to help Dad to find proper glass. She knew that now they would treat her like queen. She was so happy. Inside kitchen Dad turned said started telling Mom in low voice.Dad " She is having something evil inside her." Mom was so confused. She didn't understand what did she supposed to do. Mom " I don't understand. I thought you feel she is goddess!!" " No..no she is evil. She was managing to manipulate all. She took results of tender from a woman clark. My friend recognised her and told me." Mom was so shocked. Mom never expected so much evil from her daughter. Mom " What should we do now? She was so strong. She put her fingers in hot curry." " We need to send Satish away immediately." " Where?" " To hostel." " But this is middle of year!" " Don't worry I will manage just go and pack his bags." Mom nodded. Dad saw her vanishing in Satish's room. He smiled. He knew that Mom would object his next action. He knew evil and he knew how did he would destroy it. He took out medicine and emptied Apple juice in it. Rati saw her Mom running in Satish's room. She was confused. Her Dad was still in kitchen. She kept observing him. Then he came with Apple juice. She was not truly interested in it. But she was planning to pretend. She gave broad smile to him and took glass of apple juice from his hand. She started drinking it. It tasted worst. She began to feel that she wanted to vomit. So she started to run towards washroom. But her Dad tried to stop her. She wanted to vomit in bathroom. But she vomited there only. Her Dad slapped her. Dad "You must not vomit this poison. You must drink it." She was so shocked. She didn't understand why did Dad want to kill her. But her throat was burning. She started screaming for help. Satish was in his room when Mom entered. He was so shocked when Mom told him to pack bags. He started asking reasons. Mom " Your Dad is sending you to hostel." He smiled. He was finally going out of house. He never dreamt that his Dad was lying and he was killing his sister Rati outside in hall. In that AC room he didn't hear any sound. He didn't sense that he was not going to hostel. This was trap. He started packing his bags. But after sometime he felt confused. He was sure hostel would not take him in middle of term like this. So he asked " Which hostel?" His Mom sounded confused. He screamed loudly " Which hostel?" He sensed that his Dad was trying to fool him. He suddenly forgot his fear and came out. He was so shocked by horrible scene that was happening outside. His Dad was hitting Rati with stick. She was injured. He was not even sure that if she was alive or dead. But he knew one thing that his Dad was mad man. He didn't dare to challenge him. He just closed door and called emergency number of Cops. That person took complaint and address. Then he was told that he must not go out. His Mom was crying and screaming. But he knew that they could not help Rati much. If they came out, Dad would start to hit her more harshly. Then in few seconds Police siren came. They didn't understand what was going outside. Finally they opened door when Cops told them to open. They shivered with fear. When they came outside entire hall was full of blood. Satish asked slowly " My sister?!!" Police " She is in hospital." " Do you think she will be fine?" Cops didn't say anything. But his face told everything. Satish "Maybe if I should have come out.." " No it is useless. She was poisoned too." Satish didn't say anything. Mom kept crying. Soon that matter became big thing. Every one started to come to their house for news. Luckily their Auntie agreed to let them stay with her for few days. Satish's that year was wasted since he didn't able to attend school. He shifted to other town. Cops permitted them to shift for their security. They were scared that Satish's Dad might attack them. Satish sensed that he must act responsible now. He took that course of different language but not because he wanted to run away but since he wanted better job. He didn't want to waste his year. Next year he took admission in another school. His life once again started. But in this life he was only child of single mother. His Mom was working in small company as secretary. He was studying hard. His father was never mentioned. They did every ritual for Rati. But they didn't saw her body. Every one advised against it. It must be horrible. But Satish could guess it. He didn't understand why did his Dad did it. One day finally his Mom confessed. " Your Dad had mental problem. I married him just because my father didn't find husband for me and my younger sister was already engaged. He never acted normal. Even Rita was showing few signs of his mental sickness. She was acting little bit like him. They always start this way." Satish took deep breath. Satish " So I will have mental trouble one day too." His Mom started crying slowly. Mom " No. You are not his son." " What? You had an affair!!" " No..no your Dad took me one spiritual leader.." Then suddenly Satish remembered. " The same one from whom Rita ran away." She nodded. He didn't ask her anything further. It sensed one thing that his Dad was horrible man and he didn't want to see his face again. He kept trying hard to forget those things but they kept coming back to him. Still he kept moving ahead. Finally he went to psychiatrist himself and it really helped. He began to move ahead with truth of his life. He was no longer scared to face truth.
