Marriage proposal
Happily Rita was watching sky from her window. She always loved to look out of it. She could always able to watch wonderful trees of next to their building. It was so nice to watch that nature. It managed to make her so happy. She began to smile with positivity. Today she was supposed to go for examination of her college. She was so happy about it. She liked her college but she was not so happy. She knew in her heart she hated her college it was all entirely wrong. She wanted something different & she got something totally different. She knew that she needed to be careful while choosing her course. But she kept studying that subject which she didn’t like. She did want she was advised by all. She needed to use her thoughts for deciding her career but she permitted others to dominate her thoughts. She took wrong side. She wanted to impress world & most importantly to stay with her friends. It was odd obsession of her friends. It was not as if her friends were so nice that she couldn’t live without them. She could have managed without them but she decided to go for that course which they took. She regretted it from her heart now. But she decided. She needed to score nice marks in this exam. She had given all exams this was last one. She immediately went to her Scooty. She needed to go in full speed. She felt so positive. She put on her helmet & she started going. On that point she noticed this. There were loud noises in neighbourhood. She knew that they always had them. She many times intervened but today she was getting late. She just decided to go away. On that time suddenly little girl from neighbourhood came running in balcony. Her name was Komal. Komal gave nervous look. She smiled. Komal didn’t say anything just kept sitting there. Komal was holding bars of Balcony very tight. Rita didn’t understand cause. Rita just went away on Scooty. She went in college. Then she gave her exam. After exam all started to plan to go in canteen to enjoy after exam. She also went there. She was pretending hard to adjust with them. Sometimes she was laughing unnecessarily on few jokes which were not even interesting for her. She didn’t say anything since whenever she tried to say something it always managed to irritate others. Her examples were too intellectual for them. They considered her boring. Soon she got bored so she made excuses & went back to home. When she came back she looked towards Balcony Komal was no longer there. She wanted to call her but she knew Komal’s parents didn’t like it. They kept arguing repeatedly but they didn’t like if someone took care of their daughter. They wanted full authority on their daughter. They just didn’t want to treat her with affection. She was so frustrated when she kept waiting in corner with hope that someone would open door for her. She wanted to talk with Komal. She was so frustrated. She felt so hurt. She was not little girl any more but since childhood she always waited like that for hours. She didn’t understand why she always managed to come early or on wrong time. On that time security guard came. “ Madam do you know your neighbour just left their flat?” She felt so shocked. Rita just kept quiet & guard continued “ God knows where they went! I was informed just on last movement to put their belongings in truck. That little girl was sitting quiet for long time in balcony then she just sat peacefully in car. Her parents were not looking happy too. You know them. They always kept screaming on each other. These people doesn’t deserve to be parents of such nice child..her Mom is already irritated by her father. I feel soon she would left him.” Rita didn’t say anything. Rita always missed her father. She was small when her father died due to heart attack. Her Mom managed all by herself. Her Mom just had her education but her Mom didn’t have much experience. But still her Mom struggled hard. Finally her Mom managed all. Rita knew that her Mom did all just for her. She was hope for her Mom. Rita kept feeling so nervous. Rita wanted to know all about Komal but now her family left that house even without telling her so one thing was clear that they didn’t want her to remain in contact with Komal. Rita “ I don’t know much about them. I just use to play with their daughter sometimes.” “ Sometimes? You were literally free babysitter for them whole time. You did all for that small girl. You truly deserve appreciation.” She just smiled nervously. She knew that Komal’s parents would never give her any credit in fact they never wanted to keep any connections. She said slowly “ Komal was their daughter now they needed to handle all. It was better that they took entire responsibility.” “ But they should have at least informed you.” “ It’s okay. I can go ahead with more freedom in life. She was not my responsibility.” Security guard nodded. Then he went away. Rita returned to home. Rita knew that Komal was not connected her. She knew that it was not issue truly related to her. She had her Mom who deserved her attention & affection. She looked towards photos in room. Her Mom was living just to make her life nice. Her Mom was only involved in her. She knew that her Mom’s life was totally centred around her. Rita told herself that she needed to remain self centered now. She knew that she needed to plan her life after college. She smiled happily. She was planning to marry soon. Before it she could try to some career but which one? She never planned properly. In her life everything was so different. She felt so much troubled by all. She didn’t understand what she supposed to try. She took deep breath to relax herself & decided that she decide her career after her results. She began to feel so restless. She was so scared about her results. Then she decided that she might just create one wonderful profile on Internet to connect with people. She wanted to connect with different people to began her life. She was so stressed. She began to feel so nervous. But she needed to do it. She began to start everything when her mobile rang. It was her Uncle. She hated to talk with him. Her Uncle always kept telling her that she was stupid. She didn’t understand world. According to her Uncle she was basic cause of her birth. Her Uncle kept saying that her father wanted son but instead she was born. She wanted to remember her father positively. She was too small but still she had few memories but her Uncle managed to make them all negative. She didn’t want to take call but she knew that she didn’t have much option. Her Uncle might make this an excuse to visit her.
Rita’s Uncle Dinesh was waiting for her exam to get over. Rita was biggest burden in his view. He felt that he needed to marry her off to someone. Few days ago he met one boy in his office. Boy was nice looking. He liked that boy & he decided that this boy was perfect match for Rita. Now he just needed to tell this to Rita. He was totally sure that no one would object his suggestion. His sister-in-law was always remained under his control. He kept calling Rita. Finally Rita took his call. Dinesh “ Rita come to my office immediately.” Rita sounded shocked. Rita “ Now?” “ Yes now at this moment.” Rita was not happy but she couldn’t argue with Dinesh & she knew it. Rita “ Okay.” Dinesh disconnected call with smile. While Rita began to feel so upset. First Komal suddenly vanished now Dinesh Uncle wanted her to come in his office. She hated her Dinesh Uncle but she didn’t dare to say it. She supposed to respect all. Her Mom always kept telling her that she needed to respect all. She must not rise her voice on anyone. Rita didn’t say anything. She was so frustrated. She didn’t want to meet her Dinesh Uncle at all. She suddenly began to remember her father. She was small just in KG but still she had few memories but they were not pleasant one. Her father was always busy. Her father never had time for her. Sometimes she felt his overwork managed to give heart attack to him & finally it lead to his death. She never saw someone so obsessed with work. But then she looked towards her big flat. But no one managed to purchase such big flat at such young age too. Her Dad was great. Even when her Dad died young he managed to create enough earning for them. She knew that her Dad might be man who was exhausted by overwork. She told herself that her Uncle was just liar. Her father always loved her. She got dressed smartly. She looked in mirror happily. She wanted to feel confident. She decided to call Cab. She didn’t want to drive again. Soon she reached her Uncle’s office. She asked “ What is it Uncle?” Dinesh pointed to a chair. She sat on it. Dinesh Uncle “ Now I will show you one boy. You need to impress him.” She was so confused. Rita didn’t understand. Rita thought that she would told about boy before planning of her marriage. She didn’t understand how could she suddenly forced in such a marriage! She needed to think about her life partner properly. She said slowly “ Uncle I want to meet him but first I need to know few things about him..” “ You are always arrogant from childhood. No one liked you. You are odd girl. You always kept arguing with others. You were not ready to share. You never even manage to enjoy things normal youngsters enjoy. You are so odd. It is going to be very difficult to find husband for you. It will create big problem for you. You need to understand what is going on in world. You are not someone who will impress boys.” She was so upset after hearing this. She was no longer interested in meeting that boy. She knew that her Mom might get angry but she didn’t care. Rita just stood up & said “ Sorry Uncle but I am getting late.” She just ran out of that office. She was so scared that she might meet this boy. She wanted to marry someone who admire her. But her Uncle managed to make it clear to her that she was going to be burden for her husband too. She just ran out. She didn’t understand where she could go. Then she located garden & she just sat there. Dinesh Uncle was so frustrated. He was hoping to achieve so much by this marriage. He wanted to get that flat. Rita was only heir of his brother. Once she get married. He could easily convinced start to slowly get hold of that flat. He smiled. He knew lots of ways to manage to get his sister-in-law in his control. His sister-in-law was under his thumb. He knew that she was not smart lady. He just needed to get rid of Rita. But Rita just escaped from his trap. That boy came in. Dinesh Uncle immediately began to plan something else. He started to suggest his client’s girl. He wanted at least little bit extra purchase of his products. He knew that how could be manage to get money out of his client. He smiled & started his next plan. Luckily that boy had not seen Rita so he immediately fall in next trap. That boy thought that he was just supposed to see photo of girl not actual girl. Boy looked little disappointed but when Dinesh Uncle told about financial status of girl’s family & showed her photo. That boy immediately fall in love with proposal. Dinesh Uncle immediately called client. Then Dinesh Uncle fixed date for meeting of both family. Boy was very happy to get nice girl. He never sensed that Dinesh Uncle changed girl in seconds. For Dinesh Uncle other people were just items to keep for sell. He never cared for their feelings. His feelings were just important. Dinesh Uncle smiled happily. He was no longer concerned about Rita & her reaction. He didn’t care if Rita get depressed. For his Rita was just one burden which needed to be shifted on some one else’s shoulder. He was not searching suitable husband for her. He was searching beneficial deal which was important for his future. He didn’t care if Rita felt sad or tense. Dinesh Uncle already decided to complaint about Rita to his sister-in-law, Rita’s Mom. He knew that Rita needed to disciplined. Rita must not say no to next boy. He didn’t want his next plan to damage. He decided that he would make it clear to Rita’s Mom that her daughter was totally going in wrong way. Dinesh Uncle smiled at this thought of revenge. Dinesh Uncle disliked Rita she never obeyed him. According to Dinesh Uncle every woman supposed to obey man. Woman must not do anything against man’s wishes. Dinesh Uncle immediately dialled number of Rita’s Mom.
Rita was crying while sitting in that park. Her life was getting so miserable. Dinesh Uncle was dominating her so much. She didn’t understand how could she survive. She felt so helpless. She started to think someone who could help her. Then she suddenly thought about her friend. Her friend was alway helpful but this situation was not something she could handle. She just sat there. She kept thinking she could call or not. She finally sensed that she didn’t want any one to know location. She wanted to hide from all. She started looking around. Suddenly she began to feel that she needed one job & she needed to rent house too. She couldn’t marry someone. She was so scared of that thought. It was getting so stressful. She needed to feel happy but she kept feeling so scared. In her eyes marriage was never such scary thing. She was hoping that it would bring happiness in her life. But the way things were moving she began to doubt on it. She started to get restless. She looked towards mobile. She needed to call her Mom. She was so confused. Finally she called. Before she could say anything her Mom began to talk so fast “ What’s wrong with you? Rita sweetheart you know very well that you need to settle down now. You can’t live your life alone. That boy was so nice & you just rejected him without even talking with him? Why?” She was about to answer when she sensed strange movement about her. She looked towards it. Wind was moving in strange way. It managed to scare her so much. She was about to talk but she began to feel strange pressure on her throat as if someone was tried to take hold of her breath. She felt as if someone was suffocating her. She looked around. She could see clearly no one was there. She felt so uncertain. She began to feel strange tense touch on her. She never believed on supernatural but she felt as if it was happening to her. She looked towards tree. She sensed that she was sitting under wrong tree. She felt as if someone was sitting on that tree. She knew that thing or that ghost whatever it was trying to capture her hold. She could sense it. She said slowly “ Mom something is happening to me. I sat under tree…” then her voice stopped. She couldn’t able to say anything. She got so breathless that she just began to sense that entire world around her was vanishing. She wanted to stop that power from taking her hold but it didn’t work. Finally she lost her sense. Rita’s Mom kept talking from other side but it was useless. Rita’s Mom was so scared. She didn’t understand where was her daughter. She began to cry soon her colleague gathered around her. Rita’s Mom told them. One said “ Let’s call Cops. It’s emergency.” “ Are you sure in these cases we can call Cops?” Other colleague just dialled emergency number & explained situation. Cops asked about Rita’s mobile number. Then Cop told that they would contact soon. They all waited with patience. Rita’s Mom was crying loudly. Even Boss came out. Boss asked slowly “ Did you have history of heart issues in your family?” Rita’s Mom said slowly “My husband died due to heart attack.” “ Rita is too young.” Then Cop called back. “ This girl Rita fainted in garden. She was taken to hospital. Did she have any health issues?” Her Mom took call & said “ Never.” Cop said “ Don’t worry. It might be just due to anxiety or high Blood Pressure. Just relax.” Rita’s Mom “ Will you give me hospital number?” They gave it. Then Cop told to come to close missing complaint after sometime. Rita’s Mom agreed & gave her number. She ran to hospital. She was so scared. She literally ran to reception & started crying. She wanted to talk but she couldn’t. Then one nurse gave her some water. Slowly she told all. They showed her room. Doctor came out & said “ Her blood pressure was high. What happened?” Rita’s Mom told entire odd story. Doctor said “ We might need to do whole check up. Then we can decide what’s wrong.” Rita’s Mom nodded. Then she called Dinesh Uncle. Rita’s Mom told all. Dinesh Uncle was so frustrated. He was clearly no longer interested in Rita. “ You needed to manage on your own. I can’t keep helping you.” Rita’s Mom felt hurt but she knew that Rita was her responsibility. “ I just called to tell you. She acted so odd today with you..” “ I can’t find boy for your sick girl now..bye.” Dinesh Uncle disconnected call. Rita’s Mom was so shocked & hurt. Rita’s Mom shifted her to different private hospital. She spent all that was possible but all reports came out okay. Finally Doctor suggested psychiatrist. She nodded. Rita was so tired of hospitals. Rita wanted to just get over this fear. Then finally they visited Psychiatrist. Psychiatrist listened to Rita for some time. Then he told her to sit outside & called her Mom inside. “ Your daughter imagined this ghost etc just because she wanted to escape from her marriage to unknown man. You need to keep this Dinesh Uncle away from her marriage proposals.” Rita’s Mom nodded. Rita’s Mom came home. Dinesh Uncle was waiting outside home. Dinesh Uncle immediately smiled. “ I heard it’s mental now we can discuss her marriage..” Rita’s Mom “ No. We are not interested.” “ You are not planning to marry your daughter what kind of Mom are you? You want to keep her unmarried to take care of you in old age?” Rita now screamed loudly “ Just go away. I don’t want to marry.” Dinesh Uncle “ I am giving you money..” Rita’s Mom “ But you are also using flat which belonged to my father-in-law too. My husband have right on it too.” Dinesh Uncle gave angry look & went away. Rita felt so uneasy. But still Rita said clearly “ I don’t want to marry.” Suddenly she felt so happy. Rita went in her room. But her Mom was tense. Since her Mom knew that this was not solution but then her Mom smiled. Her Mom decided that they would handle problems as per situation arise. They needed to enjoy life so she decided to order Pizza for them on that day.
