Rakesh’s angel
Rakesh was so excited about new book. It was his dream world. He decided to read it. He took it. But then he suddenly began to look confused. He started to see appealing colours in cover of it. But still he didn’t understand what was so important about that book. He began to watch pages which had different looks. Those pages were so appealing. He started to watch pages. He kept feeling so happy after watching them. He began to admire that book. It was simple book of adult which was full of words not full of pictures. But he started to laugh. He was not small boy. He needed to read & like adults book. But sometimes he loved to buy comics books too. Many adults did. He saw them reading too. Some even seemed to be enjoying them. They kept reading every page with concentration. He never admired them so much. In fact he was never so fond of any book as he was of this book. He immediately sensed after watching this book that it was special. This book had unique appeal inside. He still remembered how did his attention went to it. He didn’t bought it. He was going out in his car but suddenly he felt that it was perfect time for bus. His heart told him to take bus & he just took it without second thought. That bus was important for him. He knew after watching it’s decoration. It was looking so great in it. He was just enchanted by decorations. He wanted to stay inside it. He remembered it very well. It was advertisement of new mythological series. It was telling him that he needed to go inside. He went in that bus without second thought. He kept looking around strange way. Conductor immediately asked “ Where you want to go?” He was so confused. He just said “ Last stop.” Conductor nodded. Immediately he told amount & he paid for ticket. Conductor gave him strange look. Conductor didn’t say anything at first. Then when crowd in bus reduced. Conductor stood near next seat. Then Conductor asked slowly “ People who dressed like you in branded way normally use car. It is odd that you are in this bus.” He gave weak smile. “ Well need to go on meeting & car manage to break down. Now I was waiting for another car saw this bus felt it’s better. Why I need to waste so much time for next car?” “ You can call Cab? I am not interfering but in this bus your suit will be damaged due to sweating. You need to take something with AC in this heat.” He laughed. “ Come on. If I came late client will object but if my presentation is great they will not notice little damage of suit. I can tell them I force to take Bus. Many clients feel impressed that I value them so much that instead of wasting their time for luxuries I took bus. Now my other employees came with Bus & train only so it is not big deal.” Conductor looked impressed. Conductor “ I am so glad that you appreciate Bus service so much normally people keep complaining about it. You try our best still never get enough appreciation. Walking in running bus catching every passenger for ticket is not easy. For entire day we kept doing it. Then if we reach late to some passenger sometime they even get abusive. Then few don’t have change so keep complaining. Our job is not easy one.” He nodded. Then he suddenly saw that book. He asked conductor “ Whose book is this?” Conductor looked confused. Conductor “ Someone must have forgot.” Conductor about to pick it when he took it. He smiled & said “ Can I read it?” “ No problem! You can even keep it. No one is coming for it.” “ But still I give you my number. If someone come for it I will return it.” Conductor nodded. He was so happy. He began to read book carefully. It was interesting. He knew that this book was something he needed. He came in that Bus just for this book. He smiled. He went out of bus & thanked Conductor for it. He was so happy. He kept that book hidden from his family whole time. Now his wife went to her parent’s house with kids. He thought it was perfect time to read. He opened it. It was one love story. It's name was river of red house. He kept reading that name again & again. That name was telling him something unique so important. He wanted to forget all & read that book. He started to read it. On first page he began to read different paragraphs. He started to create different meanings. He was thinking about different words. He began to feel as if it was taking him inside book. He started to think those different scenes. He knew that it didn’t have any supernatural but he didn’t even need it. He needed just normal story. He began to see that red house. He knew that he needed to search it. He started to think different ways in which he could locate this red house. He was married man. He had two kids still he wanted to search this woman. He didn’t understand why. But he felt obsessed. He started to read description. He knew name of that town was fake. But by description he was sure that he could find it. It was important for him to find that town. He needed to find this woman. But he didn’t understand why he needed it. He didn’t feel need to find that man. He was so sure. He opened internet & started searching for place. He began to search hard. He wasted whole day but he didn’t found anything. He kept locating different places but nothing was similar to that place. He was so confused. He kept searching places. Finally he gave up when his wife Tina called. Tina asked about day. He didn’t want to hide anything from her. He started telling her about book. Tina started laughing. Tina “ Now you started to give me inferiority complex!” “ I don’t understand?” “ I mean you are searching for some woman & telling it to your wife.” He understood her meaning & he stared laughing too. He was searching for this lady but still it didn’t seem like dishonesty with wife. It was something different. He said “ I am not searching for wife. I am searching for my Goddess.” Tina didn’t say anything for long time. Then she started to laugh loudly. He stopped for some time. He felt hurt but then he started laughing too. This was not logical. This was his timepass. This was his one big joke. He supposed to laugh on it too. But he knew that he was going to find that lady. He needed to do that.
Tina joked but she was getting little too much. It was not as if his trouble was hidden from her. When they got married before fixing all her mother-in-law called her. Tina was so upset. She was dating Rakesh for sometime. She wanted to fix this relationship. But she noticed many times that parents of such suitors managed to break engagement before fixing since they wanted daughter-in-law belonged to rich family. She felt that now once again same thing was going to happen Rakesh’s Mom was planning to end her relationship with Rakesh. It was clearly upsetting. She didn’t understand how to handle it. She went to hotel which selected by Rakesh’s Mom. She went there & she thought as always she would be early but it seemed as if Rakesh’s Mom was more perfectionist than her. It was shocking. She ran inside & she immediately apologised for her behaviour. But his Mom gave weak sad smile & said “ I came early. I was kind of tense about entire incidence. It was not easy for me to tell this to you...” his Mom took pause. She was already prejudiced. She assumed that his Mom was playing trick. His Mom wanted no from her side. She wanted to smile & tell his Mom that she knew these tricks very well but she decided to play this game. His Mom continued “ Sometimes my husband use to hallucinate..I know Rakesh is still not showing it but it’s possible that it might appear.” She was so shocked. She knew Rakesh very well. He was totally practical. She couldn’t see him as even daydreamer. She gave his Mom shocking look. But then she controlled herself. “ I don’t attach myself just to his positive side I attached to negative too. I will accept it fully that he might have mental disorder one day.” His Mom smiled happily. Then they ordered tasty food. They both ate happily. She went away. She never asked about his mental trouble again. His Dad didn’t appear anything odd to her. But then one day his Dad suddenly began to ask about some river he saw while coming towards their home. They were so confused. They lived in city full of buildings. They couldn’t see river or greenery. But Rakesh’s Dad kept describing it for hours. They all kept nodding. Rakesh was clearly angry. Still he couldn’t stop his Dad. Then after sometime his Dad went towards balcony & then he kept watching outside whole time. They found it odd. But when his Dad came next time, he was perfect. That river was totally forgotten. Tina felt that it was another try to keep her away from Rakesh. She was feeling so hurt. She didn’t want anything to take Rakesh away from her but she felt so confused. His parents were pretending too much. She decided to tell her Mom everything. Her Mom heard it & she looked concerned. Her Mom “ Are you sure they are pretending? It is not madness of family?” “ Mom don’t be ridiculous. You saw Rakesh so many times. He is just perfect.” “ Sweetheart it is not always visible. Sometimes it just come out.” “Then I will handle when it come out. I want to marry him & that’s what I want.” Mom wanted to argue further but then her Mom stopped. Mom sensed that she made up her mind. Mom knew that nothing would change it. She went ahead with her decision. Everything went fine. They had two kids & now she suddenly sensed that Rakesh was acting strange. First he just kept his car in corner of road whole day. Traffic Cops called her finally. Since car was on her name, she was informed. It was so shocking. She managed to convince her one friend to go & pick up car. It was not easy. She was expecting one explanation from Rakesh but he called & started talking about that book. It seemed as if he didn’t even remember his car or his work. He was doing business. He didn’t came in shop. Manager called her. She told manager that she was at parent’s house with kids. After a week she would come, Manager needed to take care until then. Manager agreed. Now she sensed that she needed to suddenly look in matter of shop too. She didn’t understand what was wrong with Rakesh. She remembered last day when she started to go to her parent’s house. He was discussing expansion of shop. Everything was so perfect. Manager was hopeful about that expansion. She needed to handle situation. She might needed to take over duty from Rakesh since it was clear that Rakesh was going to search for this unknown unique woman. She didn’t like this idea but she knew that no one could stop her. It was so upsetting. Rakesh didn’t understand her normal logic. He was giving away everything for some stupid book. He didn’t understand that this book was a book which one wanted to throw away in garbage. He started to treat it as some special book. This book was having horrible impact on mind. She didn’t understand what was special in it. She was lost in her thought when her Mom appeared. Mom “ What happened?” “ Mom Rakesh is not acting normal.” Her Mom looked nervous. Her Mom looked around confirmed that kids were far away then Mom said “ Actually kids were saying same thing.” “ What?!” She was shocked. She didn’t sense that Kids began to notice it too. “ What did kids say?” Her Mom took pause. She sensed that her Mom didn’t want to upset her married life. She said quietly “ Mom I need to know.” “ Actually kids were saying he was talking about some angel who was coming on earth to meet him. Then he would go away with her & took them too. But then in few seconds he totally forgot about it. He said that he didn’t say anything like that. When kids argued he even slapped them on back for lying. They were angry. They said after that they just kept avoiding him.” Now Tina began to feel scared. Her mother-in-law warned her about same thing. But she didn’t took it seriously. She immediately called her mother-in-law. Her mother-in-law took her call after sometime. When she told all, her mother-in-law said in sad voice “ I sense it from beginning so I warn you. Now I will give you number of psychiatrist take him there.” “ Then he will be cured?!” “ No..no they can’t cure it completely. They give medicine to reduce it.” Tina felt so shocked. Tina sensed one thing. She needed to go home immediately. She decided that kids shouldn’t come. She needed to handle it on her own. On second thought she asked her mother-in-law “ Will you come home?” Rakesh‘s Mom agreed immediately “ Of course honey. I know this is first time. You must be scared.” Tina shivered. She was so scared.
Kids complained at beginning. But when Tina told that it was about Rakesh they immediately agreed. It was clear that they didn’t want to be around their Dad that much. They were upset & scared of Rakesh. Tina knew that he needed to go to psychiatrist. She immediately called Cab. She went home. She noticed that her mother-in-law’s car was not there. She sensed that she needed to go alone. Then she suddenly noticed Rakesh coming out with bags. She ran towards him. He looked towards her with shock. Then he smiled. “ So you want to search for that woman too! She is solution to all. She will remove all troubles from our life.” “ But we don’t have any trouble in life?” He looked towards her with confused thought. Tina took hold of his shoulder & started pushing him towards lift. He started to confused then he began to look angry. He started to get restless. “ I want to go out.” He said loudly. He pushed her aside & started walking towards car. She was so scared. She started to talk as sweetly as possible. But he was not ready to listen. He began to go in car. She started screaming “ Don’t go. Where are you going? You are not in your right form of mind!” “ Really!Who told you that?” She stopped talking. She sensed security was watching them carefully. Clearly they were confused. They didn’t understand whom should they obey. Both were their bosses. She finally decided to take their help. She couldn’t let him drive away in this “ Come on! Help me. Your sir is not in right state of mind.” He screamed “No..no I am fine. She is trying to kill me for property.” They all looked shocked. She was so upset. She began to call Mom. But Mom took her call. She started to tell her all. Mom “ Can I suggest you something?” “ Yes Mom just advice me. You were so right when you told not to marry without thinking. Now I am regretting.” “ Call hospital tell his condition!” “ But they will lock him in mental asylum!” “ For sometime then he will come back okay..” Her Mom was convincing her when Rakesh’s Mom came with ambulance & Psychiatrist. Rakesh started telling security to stop her. Rakesh began to scream “ She is my step mother. My wife & my step mother trying to kill me.” By this time security sensed that he was unsound. They all tried to caught him. He began to run. But finally he stopped when Tina started crying. He turned to her & said “ Don’t worry. I will find her. Now you can see our troubles can’t you?” She nodded. He went in ambulance. They drove away ambulance. She kept crying. Her mother-in-law started hugging her. Soon many Society members came down. She was so scared that they might tell her to leave. But they all talked with each other. Some even showed sympathy towards her. She was happy at least she was not thrown out of Society. Soon her parents came there too. Her Dad gave her accusing look & said “ You never told me! We could have gone to Psychiatrist earlier.” Rakesh’s Mom “ It doesn’t make difference. But don’t worry he will be normal for sometime..but then it start once again.” Tina nodded. Tina saw Manager was calling. She knew that she needed to go. Tina “ I need to go for shop expansion.” Her Dad “ Now?” Rakesh’s Mom “ She must. These medicines & treatments are expensive. She needed to handle business until he doesn’t come to senses.” Tina nodded. She took call. Then she immediately went towards car. She started to drive towards shop. On that moment she sensed for first time. She knew this from beginning. She sensed that he had problems. But she loved him. She didn’t want to lose him. She knew that she still loved him. She decided that she was not going to leave him. She started to drive with determination. She went inside. She began to discuss all. She managed all perfectly. Manager was so happy. Manager “ I hope sir will come soon!” “ No he is sick. But I will manage. I hope you don’t mind.” He nodded. But displeasure on his face was clear. She sensed that it was not going to be easy for her. Clearly Manager didn’t like lady Boss. But she was determined to manage all. She went in Rakesh’s room & started planning all. After sometime Psychiatrist called. She explained all to him. Psychiatrist “Don’t worry. Come in evening I will arrange time. I suggest you to work hard & earn more. You need money on every front now. You have two kids & one sick husband. I understand.” She gave short nervous laugh & she cut call. She didn’t asked what was her husband’s sickness. She knew it since her mother-in-law explained it. They had it in family for long time. But she knew that it was not easy to handle. He had schizophrenia. She didn’t know which type but it didn’t matter. She was determined to make it right for everyone. So she smiled & started working. She was doing it with just one face in her mind. It was face of her husband no one else. She would always love him. The same way he loved him. She saw it when he entered in ambulance. He did it just for her while forgetting his mad obsession. She smiled while remembering his face which determinedly went in ambulance & then she started to work again. She sensed one thing on that point she was Rakesh's angel. He went in ambulance without sensing it but still his heart understood it on some point.
