Invisible threat
Sheena took deep breath. She was so confused. She was perfect few moments ago. She looked around. She was doing her work. She was receptionist of a doctor. She needed to pay full attention to every thing she did. Her one mistake was not just simple thing. She knew that she needed to stay alert. But today she was feeling so restless. She didn't understand what was wrong with her. She started looking around. She sensed that everything was fine. She knew that she was okay. But still she kept so breathless. She started to look around. She began to observe others. She didn't notice breathlessness in any body else. She was feeling so suffocated. She knew that every one in room was fine. She didn't understand when she stop feeling like that. It all started after that accident. It was not her fault. She was only one who was alive & that was not her fault. She didn't threw others in death trap. Driver of that Taxi did. But she still remembered that smell. She smelt it. She wanted to question driver but she was too shy. She never had that bravery inside her. It was so upsetting. Her Dad was best bully of this world. Her Dad made sure that she would question no one. She remembered once she asked him that why he was laughing & chatting with one Auntie. She disliked it. Since she noticed that Dad gave her perfume. She wanted him to gift it to her Mom. Dad immediately called her Mom. He screamed " What kind of manners did you given to your daughter? She is questioning me! Her father said " She is useless girl. I don't want her to take on trip." Her Mom shivered with fear. Mom " Actually we already paid for it!" Her Dad became so angry. He threw water on her. Dad " This girl is spoiler brat! You managed to spoil her.." he began to hold her Mom tightly & started to shake her. Her Mom started shivering in strange way. It seemed as if she was getting breathless but her Dad didn't stop abusing her. Then Sheena started to apologise. Sheena even began to touch his feet. Now this made him so happy. He decided to forgive them. Then he went away after taking promise from Sheena that she would never act like that. Sheena went to Mom. Her Mom was looking far away. Her Mom was observing something which was not existed. She was little but she sensed that something was wrong with her Mom. She felt that it was all her mistake. She cried. She tried to ask someone for help. A Auntie from neighborhood came. Auntie tried to talk with Mom but it was useless. They called Doctor. Then Doctor prescribed medicine. She was sure that everything was not okay. Her Mom started taking those medicines. But her Mom started to forget things step by step. Dad began to scream on her often. One day he even slapped her. It was horrible. She kept watching. She wanted to stop it but she was small & it was useless. How hard her Mom tried to recall whatever her Dad was asking she couldn't remember. Sheena didn't understand why did she suddenly started to remember all today. She didn't want to remember it. But it kept coming back in her mind. She was shivering with fear. Suddenly one patient came her & asked " Are you alright?" Sheena smiled. Actually she was supposed to ask patients this but today suddenly role was reversed. She was shivering & patients began to get tense. She smiled & said " I think. I must go & talk with Doctor." They all nodded. She knew that patient was inside still she went inside. She stood quietly in corner. Her teethes started to chatter. Patient looked confused & tense. Doctor turned & saw her. Doctor looked shocked. Doctor " My God! What happened to you? You were perfect when you came in morning.." " I don't understand." Doctor told patient to wait for some seconds. Patient nodded since patient understood emergency too. Doctor came near & checked her fever. Doctor "Strange! You don't have fever!" She was shocked too. She was so sure that she would have fever. She didn't understand why did she was feeling so much cold. She knew that weather was not that much cold. " Doctor I don't understand why did I feel so much cold!" Doctor looked confused too. Doctor checked her again & again. Doctor " Every thing seem fine!" She was so tense. Then Doctor gave her some medicine. " Go home & take rest." " But who will handle reception!" Doctor " I will manage. I don't need receptionist who is sick herself. Just go home!" She nodded. She knew that she would threaten patients. In face she heard patient asking about her to Doctor. Doctor explained that she had some allergy. It was strange answer or excuse. But she knew that Doctor gave it since he wanted to convince patient that her sickness couldn't transmitted to patients. She literally ran out of clinic. She didn't want to become cause of someone's sickness. She returned home. Her small home! It was nothing but small home. But she loved it. She was happy in it. She lived in it with her entire family. She knew that her Dad was dead so no need to feel scared inside home now. She smiled with delight at that thought. She loved her Mom at beginning but then slowly her Mom became strange. Her Mom didn't talk to her. She didn't understand anything. Her Mom did cooking & cleaning like robot & she thanked God for it. She knew that if her Mom didn't do it she needed to do. Her Dad was just useless thing. Her Dad never helped with anything in house. Her Dad just spent entire time watching TV or playing on computer. He used to go office in beginning. But then soon he took voluntary retirement. Then he started sitting in house. He kept bossing on them. He was doing some business. She shivered at thought of seeing him. But then she sensed once again. He was dead. She knew that she needed to accept it. She didn't understand why she didn't accept what she wanted for such long time. She sat in her hall peacefully. She kept telling herself that he was not coming back. But she kept feeling so scared. She didn't want to even enter in this house. She was so breathless in clinic. She didn't understand what was wrong with her. She knew one thing she needed to fix lunch for herself. She went in kitchen.
Sheena smiled happily. She knew that she was alone. She could eat whatever she wanted. She didn't have any responsibility. She was so happy to finally have her freedom. When her Dad died, she pretended before world. She didn't cry. She managed to control her tears. It was so upsetting. She wanted to look sad. She managed to look sad too. Since her Dad was dead & it was bringing out all her pains. She cried so much. Then on next day she felt that she would feel okay. But she didn't. She was so scared. She was so confused. She didn't understand what was her soul feeling. She looked around. Her empty house was nice. She was so scared that her Dad might live forever. But it didn't happen. She smiled. She started to feel strange. She thought that it would vanish. Her life after her Mom's death was worst. Her Dad kept screaming on her. She couldn't tolerate him. She also started arguing. She was earning as receiptionist. She knew that she was not earning much. But she needed to go out so she kept doing this job. She was so frustrated by her Dad. She knew many medicines which could put him to sleep. But Doctor advised her against giving them. She couldn't keep him feeding with medicine but on second thought she felt what was wrong with it. He was not less than monster! Her entire life was destroyed by him. She hated him. She didn't recommended that medicines but her Dad's friends did. She just managed to get prescription. She knew that she was not doing right thing. She supposed to check her Dad. But she was too tired. He never cared for them. She wanted her Mom alive & she was dead because of her. Slowly she sensed why her Mom started to forgetting all. Since she was not legitimate child, her Mom was not first wife. Her Mom never thought that he was cheating but he was. He was already married. Still he married to her Mom because he wanted her. He enjoyed two marriages. His first wife was rich woman. She didn't care about her Mom. His first wife never believed that Dad cheated her Mom. His wife believed that her Mom became mistress willingly for money. That day Auntie which she saw was his wife. He was not having affair. Actually that lady was his wife & Mom was his affair. She didn't understand if that woman was his wife why didn't he go to stay with her. She was staying in wonderful bangalow with her kids. While she was not getting anything except this one small house. She got nothing. She was so angry. She went in kitchen & started cooking on that point she sensed once again. She was alone. Her Dad was dead for three years. She began to count it. It was so shocking. She never sensed it. She knew that people who loved dead person kept sensing their existence around but she never heard a person who felt existence of dead person as alive when they wanted that one day. Of course if someone killed that person that one might feel. But she didn't killed her Dad. She gave him those medicines. But on that day when he died,she didn't give them. In fact she stopped it two months ago when her Doctor sensed what she was doing. Her Boss who was Doctor warned her against it. He said " If you give them like that he might die! Do you sense that seriousness!" She was so scared. Her Dad couldn't be dead due to medicines he took two months ago. She told herself that it was not her mistake. She was so upset. She didn't understand why. She went in her bedroom. She looked around. She needed to change it. She needed to throw away old things. She began to look around. Soon she sensed that she didn't kept anything old. All old junk was already thrown out for long time. She didn't understand why did she kept searching for that old junk. It was so frustrating. She needed to forget it. But she kept feeling that it was in one corner. She knew that first thing she did after her father's death was throwing out unwanted stuff of this house. Actually she considered all unwanted. Now this house had just her modern & comfortable stuff. She had nothing costly antique. She felt that her Dad used to store all old things which his wife used to reject in her home. His wife was modern & she was boss of her house while her Mom was just maid in this house. Her Dad made sure that her Mom must remain same way. But truthfully her Mom was not even acting human. She was acting like Robot. Her Mom totally forgot to cry or smile. She just used to try so hard but nothing was happening. Her Mom stayed always with same sorrowful expression. She kept feeling so sad. She didn't understand how could her Mom acted like that. She was feeling so upset. She didn't sense her pain until one day her friend didn't point out how hard it was for her. She cried so much on that day before her all friends. It was so painful for her. She never expressed it. She went one day to her friend's house while playing she began to talk about her family. Then slowly she confessed all without sensing it. All her friends looked shocked. One girl " Your Mom should divorce him?" Other girl " Stupid! Her Mom is not married legally how could she divorce him? He just forget her & find new one. He will not even provide house or money to them. If you marry to married man even by mistake Court didn't consider marriage legal." All nodded. " So her Mom is mistress!" On that point she started crying. They all tried to console her but it was useless. They didn't understand what was life of mistress & her child. But they knew that it was bad. Even today she sometimes felt so confused. She didn't understand that confession helped her or increased her troubles! Finally she managed to look different due to it. Her life no longer remained normal. She once again went to her past. She started to remember her pains & began to cry. She never got over it. That was the truth. She was different to all even today. She hated her Dad for it. She just wished one thing he should have stayed with his wife during his last days. She began to cry again.
Sheena looked around with confusion. She didn't understand what was wrong with her. She didn't love her Dad. But still she kept feeling that he was following her. She disliked him but still his existence seemed alive. He seemed like some ghost which might come out. She was so scared. She didn't confess it to any one. She began to feel that she might be getting these feelings since she gave those medicine to him. But she stopped. She knew that it couldn't create impact after such long time. She knew that inside house she kept feeling so strange. She was sensing someone who was wandering around. She went in kitchen. She began to cook. She started to relax. She cooked her dinner then she cleaned her house. She took deep breath. She was okay now. She felt that it must be some kind of virus or something. She didn't understand it. She thought that she would go for full check up tomorrow. She took out one book. She read & hear music. She did all regular things. She was totally relaxed in her soul. She was sure that everything was fine. She went to sleep in night. She was not scared when she went to sleep. She went in her bedroom with smile. She was expecting a good night sleep. She slept on bed with positive thoughts. She was so sure that everything was going to be fine. She didn't feel any trouble in her thought. She sensed that everything was perfect. She didn't understand at all when in middle of night she suddenly felt a hand on her throat. She sensed that it was trying to take her life. She began to feel that suffocation. She was so sure that everything was so perfect. She began to scream for help. She was getting breathless. She didn't see who was doing it. She screamed loudly. She tried so hard to escape but she couldn't. She kept screaming. She didn't sense how long she kept like that. Slowly everything for her eyes vanished. She was so scared. She woke up by noise of car. She looked around. It was Morning. She ran to mirror. She saw marks on her throat. They were scratches. She looked around. There was signs of her struggle. She sensed that someone was in room. She was so scared. She knew that some person was entering in her house. She needed to understand how. She shivered. She didn't understand why. Then she remembered her jewelry. She went to check it. She saw her locker was perfect. She looked around. She noticed that everything inside her house was perfect. She didn't understand why did someone tried to hurt her. She was sure someone was there. She could see marks on her throat. She began to shiver. She knew that no one would believe her. She needed to prove it. She went to clinic. Doctor called her inside immediately. He checked her & said " You are perfect! Maybe you have asthmatic condition. Do these tests!" She nodded. Then she did all her work properly. She was feeling perfect. She didn't got breathless. She didn't understand what did she supposed to feel. She sensed that someone tried to kill her. But it was so confusing. She didn't understand why did this man just tried to kill her instead of actually killing her which was easily possible. She didn't understand what was happening. She wanted to tell this to Doctor. But she was so confused. She felt that she should wait. This man might not come again. When she reached home that day, she locked all carefully. She confirmed that everything was kept fully secured. She was so sure that all was perfect. She slept. This time she was scared. Once again that night she felt same way. She wanted to see that person but she couldn't. She knew that someone was killing her. She sensed that she needed to keep light open. She needed to see face. But she was sure that it was last time. She screamed but she knew that no one was going to come for help. Once again she was shocked when she woke up early morning. She was perfect. She was not dead. She looked at her throat. It was looking horrible due to marks. She applied medicine. She did bandge. She was so scared. She went to clinic. But this time Doctor sensed that something was wrong. Doctor insisted to her that she must tell all. She told everything. Doctor " I give you one camera. Just set it in your bedroom. If someone is there I want to see that person. Whatever might be shooting just show to me. In fact we will see in tomorrow together. Don't watch alone. Bring laptop & we will watch together." She nodded. Doctor ordered a camera on internet. It was delivered. Then Doctor told her how to set it. This time she set camera. She also kept light on. But she didn't able to sleep for long time. Finally she slept. Then in middle of night she felt that person. She opened her eyes. She saw no one was there. But she could sense hands that were choking her. She tried to grab that invisible person but she couldn't. She kept screaming, kicking. But nothing helped. She knew that camera was watching her. She even tried to threaten invisible person. But that person didn't stop. Once again next morning she was wake up again. She cried so much. She didn't want to show shooting to Doctor. But she needed to keep job so she had no option. She was so upset. She immediately gave that shooting to Doctor. Doctor watched it carefully. Doctor looked shocked. He even looked interested. He smiled & said " You are interesting case of psychology. I will give you number of Psychiatrist. Forget number I gave you emergency appointment. Take this recording & go there." She nodded. Doctor gave her address. She immediately went there.
Sheena was scared when she entered in cabin. But psychiatrist talked very nicely. He saw recording & began to ask questions. She began to tell all. Then she confessed that her Mom was acting like Robot. Her Dad used to treat her like some dirt. Mom never reacted. Dad used to get aggressive. When her Mom died before it her Dad was strangling her. Sheena " Mom didn't died due to heart attack. She died due to brain hemorrhage. I don't know if it happened due to his physical harassment. But I was not there. One neighbour told me." " When? On Mom's funeral. She wanted me to take care. According to her my Dad was psychopath killer. But I can't throw him out of his own house so I tolerated." Psychiatrist nodded. Psychiatrist " This is happening due to your mental trauma." " You are saying I am imagining an invisible person! But he seem so real." "This might seem unique to you. But I have seen many cases like that. Don't worry I have handled them. Patients are totally normal now.." she smiled. Then Doctor gave her medicine for her wounds on throat & he also prescribed other medicine. She smiled happy. She was relieved that it was not supernatural or ghost just normal illness. She felt confidence in that Psychiatrist & she started her treatment with full faith.
