Finding new job
Rose were so desperate to find right way out of that wing. She came there with map but she managed to confuse her route again. She always tried to keep map in her pocket but today she forgot to put it inside. She started walking on that road and began to get confused. It was very frustrating for her. She knew that she must knew all road by now. She spent her entire childhood here. But still she couldn’t manage to keep entire map in her head. She didn’t understand why did she needed to be so confused regarding routes. She needed to understand routes. She was staying here since childhood. She needed to move on these roads with blindfolded eyes. It was so upsetting that she didn’t able to find proper route. But still she knew that it was normal. She kept telling herself that it was perfectly normal. She knew that once she felt that it was wrong but now she was convinced that she was normal. She started searching for lane in mobile again. Finally she found location and she reached to her office. It was so truly great for her. She went inside. She was already sweating. Her colleague Ronit looked at her with shock. Ronit “ What happened? Your whole body was sweating. Are you alright?” This was so frustrating. She knew that she was staying nearby. She kept wandering on road. She didn’t want to tell it to Ronit. She just smiled and said “ Actually I went to purchase vegetables.” “ Vegetables?!! But where are those vegetables?” She was confused now. She began to sense that she made biggest mistake. She lied in wrong way. She needed to prove it then she got another idea. “ Actually Pranav was with me. He took those vegetables.” Ronit smiled. “ Lucky girl! Your husband is helping in household?!!” “ Of course! He is responsible man.” This was truth Pranav brought vegetables every day. She never needed to worry about that purchase. But she was taking unnecessarily credit of it. She knew that it was wrong. She wanted to go out from this trap so she lied. She felt as if Ronit was setting traps for her. But she knew that he was innocent man. He was just discussing everyday issue. She smiled and said “ He is very supportive to me.” Then she changed subject. They started discussing work. Soon that entire issue was forgotten. She began to concentrate on her work. She needed to work hard. She wanted to get this deal. It was perfect deal. She knew that this deal would make her winner. She wanted to take her company to top of ladder. She had many friends who did jobs in top Companies. She knew that they would keep taunting her. She needed to work hard. She didn’t want to change company. She wanted to take her company to top and managed to do it with her own efforts. She wanted to create her own identity. She didn’t want to use Company which was created by others. She knew that she didn’t own company since it was impossible for her. She didn’t have such large amount to invest. She was not even sure that she could manage to get so much profits. She knew that in this project her owner was behind her. She needed that support. But she knew that in this company owner never taunted her on anything. It was one old lady whose kids were settled in abroad. At beginning she was scared that if this old lady get sick or die she would lose her job. But then one day her son came in company. He called her. He gave her his number and told her that if something happened to his Mom she must call him. He told her that she supposed to keep in touch with his Mom time to time. In end he told her that after his Mom he was not planning to close company. She was so happy. He told her that they needed to keep earning. She was so sure that she would never lose this company. She was giving every day report to her Boss. She was no longer in contact with that old lady but she was in contact with her son. She knew that her future boss liked her style of work. She was so happy and confident. One by one remaining staff started to come. She could see different faces. Few of them liked her and few were clearly jealous of her success. She was so tense about them. She didn’t want any one to hurt her. But then she couldn’t avoid jealousy. It was common and normal thing. She was so tense whenever she saw those jealous faces. She kept feeling that they might hurt her. But she knew that it was not truth. She knew that it was just her fear. She started giving order. They all started obeying when suddenly one colleague came to her and asked her “ You are here?” She felt so confused. She asked “ Where else I supposed to be?” “ I thought you will be with our Boss now?” This managed to confuse her. Few days ago her son told her that he was returning to India so she didn’t need to check on her. She went to meet them. Both were happy and pleased to see her. She didn’t locate anything missing. She began to feel so upset. She needed to call them. “ Actually her son is here so I don’t interfere..” “But I heard she is dying.” Now this was too much for Rose. She knew that her Boss’s son surely tell her this. But he didn’t . For first time she began to doubt him. She began to feel that he might be just using her until his Mom didn’t die. He might just sell or close Company. Rose started to look tense. That colleague was clearly enjoying this. “ Shocking he didn’t tell you..” “ Well this is strange..” Then suddenly Ronit jumped in their conversation and said “ And scary!!” Now face of that colleague became upset too. “ Why?!!.. I mean she is dying sad news but she is too old and sick too. I heard she was praying for death every day that this type of disabled life..” “ But her son tried to hide all from Rose. Don’t you sense hidden meaning?” “ What meaning?” “ He wanted to close and sell this company!!” Suddenly every one wanted to talk with Rose. They all started to insisting that she must talk with her owner’s son. She was so upset. She knew that they didn’t want her. She nodded but she decided that she would not go there. She just called Taxi and went home. She knew that her home would be empty. Her home was always empty since no one stayed in it with her except her husband. She knew that it was perfect place to cry.
Rose waited for Taxi but as soon as she sat in Taxi she started crying. She used handkerchief to find it but she knew that it was useless. Soon Taxi Driver started looking towards from rear view mirror. He didn’t say anything at beginning then he slowly asked “ What happened Madam?” She tried to smile out of her tears. She was so upset. She didn’t understand what was she supposed to say. When she said nothing, Driver started to concentrate on road. Then he started talking in general way. “ I have daughter of your age. Don’t worry. Things might be upset now. But they will get perfect.” She didn’t say anything just nodded. He continued. “ I know how hard life is for young ladies like you! You need to adjust in two fronts. You need to manage house and job both. Many times husband doesn’t help much...” “ No..no that is not my trouble. My husband is helpful but my Boss might die and then I lose job.” Taxi Driver looked tense too. “ My God!! Did your husband earn enough?” She gave sad smile. “ He earn enough but we have housing loan to pay.” Taxi Driver gave sad look. “ Then it must be big burden. But you can always find new job?!!” “ It is not that easy. I was on top post in my company now I can’t get that good salary so soon..” “Come on. It will increase again.” “ Really? Then once again this Boss might decide to sell company too?” “ Why did you need to think that way? You will surely get nice job in big company.” She nodded. By that time she was already before her building. She paid him money and he went away. She went inside her house. Her empty house! She didn’t want to think that way. But she knew that her mind keep going back to that subject. Child’s!! She wanted one. But still she didn’t become pregnant. She wanted to go to Doctor to check. But she was too scared. She didn’t want blame to be fixed on her. She was so scared. She knew that when she lost her job. She needed to search for some other job. She couldn’t sit in empty home like this. She kept crying. Then her mobile rang. It was call from her Boss. She smiled. She suddenly began to hope that it was rumour. Her Boss was fine and calling her. She took call. It was her son. He said in dry voice “ My Mom is dead. I am selling Company so it will be closed from tomorrow. I will pay salary of three months of staff. It is perfect legally..” when she said nothing, he added. “ I will pay six months. Just let me sell it.” She didn’t have much option. She agreed. She called Taxi. She felt glad that this time driver was different and this one was not interested in her sorrows. He was busy in his world. Finally she reached to office. As soon as she entered, all gathered around her. She broke e sad news. But many seemed happy. “ Six months salary?!! Great. By that time we will surely find job.” Ronit “ Not so easy. But any way this man isn’t interested in running Company.” She felt so sad. She was working day and night on one project. It was going to be sent soon and now she needed to throw it in trash. She felt so sad but she knew that her entire effort was wasted. She looked at desk. She saw her documents. It all belonged to her and Ronit. She looked towards Ronit. He was sad too. She said “ We work so much on this project.” Ronit “ I even missed my daughter’s birthday celebration for it. I know you told me to go but I went late. Now this is wasted. Can’t we use it?” Another colleague “ Of course. Boss didn’t gave you anything for working on it. You just used this laptop and I am sure that he will not object if you take it with you. Of course he might ask for money.” Rose went near it. She took two floppy drive. She downloaded entire project. Then she kept one to her and gave other to Ronit. She said angrily “ No thanks. We don’t need his laptop. But we will not give him this project free..” “ Fair!! He fooled you so much. You took care of his Mom every day in hope that he will keep business running. He is fraud.” Rose nodded. She was feeling so hurt. Then they started packing their things. She wanted to control her tears but it already started blocking scene ahead of her eyes. She knew that she was going to cry. She soon sensed that everyone was looking towards her. She began to control her tears. She began to try to smile but it was useless. Suddenly she sensed that staff was watching towards her. They all surrounded her. She smiled and said “ I am fine.” But she was not. She packed all and called Taxi again. This time when she reached house, she knew that her dreams were shattered. She needed to tell everything to Pranav. She was feeling so sad. She tried to control her tears and began to call him. When he took her call, she told him all. He was clearly upset. “My God!! You need to search a job.” It seemed that job was sole concern to him not her emotions. He didn’t care how much she felt cheated by her Boss’s son. He didn’t want to hear that story. He just started to create list of places where she could find jobs to apply for. He said “ Start immediately. You can’t sit in home like that. You need to find job otherwise you will began to have mental problems.” She was so upset. She never sat in house so how did he knew that she would have problems if she did? He wanted her to earn so he was creating excuses and it was hurting her too much. She felt so sad. She tried to control herself and said “ Don’t worry I will start searching.” She truly began to search. She applied in many companies. She knew that it was hard to find proper company. She kept trying for it. Then she finally took breath of relief. She kept talking to control herself. Then finally she started crying. She locked every window made sure that no one would heard it and then she started crying. It was horrible for her. She needed to control her sorrows. But it was not happening. She knew that Pranav would hate to see her crying. Pranav was helpful husband regarding work but he hated when she expressed any emotion like crying she needed to hide it so she started crying in closed house.
Pranav was totally upset by this mess. He didn’t want Rose to lose this job. He needed money to fulfil his dream. He wanted many things. He wanted wonderful apartment. He couldn’t dream life without those luxuries. He wanted them. He didn’t understand why did she needed to lose her job on this point. She needed it. She needed to do her job to earn more money. It was so frustrating. He knew that now she would start to searching for job but it was not going to happen so soon she was so upset. But he didn’t want to console her. He wanted to find just one job for her. He didn’t want housewife. They didn’t have kids but he didn’t mind. He wanted a house which was comfortable for him. His house was perfect and Rose was perfect too. But this lack of job might damage his life. He decided that he needed help. He looked around and he began to think who would be perfect person to ask for job. Then he decided that his Boss was best help. He went in cabin. Luckily his Boss was in good mood. He explained all and his Boss offered Rose a job in his office. He was so happy. This was true success for him. He called Rose. Rose was crying on that time. She didn’t want to take his call. But she knew that he would keep calling. She controlled herself and took it. Pranav “ I found an excellent job in my office for you. You can start it after interview.” She was so shocked. She wanted job of her choice. It was not just about money. It needed job satisfaction too. It was so nice to have job of her liking. But Pranav clearly didn’t care for her. He wanted just money. She took deep breath and asked “ I want to choose by my choice!!” Now this managed to upset him. He knew that he was moody but job was not matter of mood. She needed to get one for her. He knew that screaming wouldn’t help. He started planning step by step. He was so upset but still he kept his voice sweet. “ Honey it is not about money but it is about your own good. I mean you will sit in that home alone. Do you feel it is wise?” She took deep breath. She began to feel scared too. She was so upset. She knew that sitting alone in house wouldn’t be healthy for her. It was frustrating. She needed to do something to take away her thoughts from her sorrows. She was so confused. If she kept sitting alone in this house, it would surely have impact on her. She felt so sad. It was truly upsetting. She started watching around. She knew that she couldn’t sit alone in this house. She decided to take Pranav’s advice. “ You are right. I will take that job.” He smiled happily. It worked. He managed to force her to take job. But he needed to do it immediately. He knew that she might disagree in few days. Then suddenly his Boss came out and screamed “ Call your wife today!!” He smiled. All was perfect. He told Rose to come immediately. Rose was in such confused mind. Rose agreed immediately. Rose watched her face in mirror. She was looking so disgusting. It was truly upsetting. She began to apply makeup to her face. She seemed so nice in it. She smiled and call Taxi. Today she was calling Taxi again and again. But she needed it. She was so impatient. She was so glad when new driver came. She didn’t want old driver. She sat in Taxi. She was trying to think hopeful. She was so excited. She was so scared. Finally she reached at office. She was expecting Pranav to be waiting for her. But soon she sensed that she was not that important in office. She entered. Then she showed room for interview. She sat on chair. But she was scared. This Boss was different. Soon she sensed that he was asking her totally different questions. He was asking her about her personal life. She didn’t understand why did she supposed to answer it. She wanted to run out of room. But she was so scared. If she did some mistake Pranav might lose his job. She did want to face that tension. She needed to act nice so she kept answering. Finally it was over. She literally ran out of that room. She kept shivering. But she never thought that he would notice it. She always thought that he would ignore her. Then she took Taxi and went back. As soon as her interview was over, Boss called Pranav. Boss “ What is wrong with your wife?” Pranav never thought about this situation. He never thought that Rose could harm his prospects in job. He didn’t said anything. “ She was shivering like leaf during entire interview?!!” He didn’t say anything but he was clearly upset by all. Boss “ I am happy that I didn’t recommend her anywhere on your suggestion!!” He nodded. Then he took deep breath and lied. “ Actually she was sick but came.” Boss made sad face and said “ Ohh!! But I can’t give her second chance.” Pranav nodded and went away. Pranav was so angry. He decided that he didn’t want her to get any chance. He didn’t want her now. He decided that he would tell it to her on face. That day he planned everything perfectly. He planned argument with her which would sent her to her parents. He didn’t need her in his house now. She was no longer perfect. He needed just perfect things in life. She was perfect before but now she was broken doll. He didn’t want her. He wanted to throw her out of his house. He knew what was needed for it. He needed to ask about a child. She was too scared when he started this subject. He knew that if he kept digging on it. She would soon sensed that he didn’t want her and she would vanish. He started different plans to hurt her feelings. He wanted her out of his house at any cost. He took deep breath and called Taxi. He sat in Taxi with full confidence. He was not scared like Rose. He knew that he would hurt her and fulfil his ambition. He went inside building with confidence.
Rose was so upset. She knew that her interview was not success. But she soon began to imagine her office was still open. She wanted to go home but she didn’t. She just sat outside her office. She didn’t able to remember road towards her house. She never thought that this would happen but it happened. She tried to remember her house but it was useless. She remembered everything but not her house. She kept sitting for hours. Then finally she called her parents. She was too scared to call Pranav. Her parents came. They took her home. Pranav was already inside house by then. He started arguing as soon as she entered. She was so sad. She started to cry. Her parents tried to console her and convince him. But he started to talk about child. Soon they all decided to take her away. She went away with her parents. At beginning she was hoping that he would come. But he didn’t. He wanted her working and earning. Now he didn’t want her. She was so frustrated. Then one day suddenly Ronit called. He started to discuss regarding opening own company. He wanted to take loan. But she didn’t encourage. She was too scared that she might see Pranav somewhere. She kept sitting inside home for days. Finally her parents took her to counsellor. She discussed all. Step by step she began to get over Pranav. She stopped waiting for him. One day she dressed in professional way and went out with Ronit. She won contract. She took loan and started her life. When her business settled suddenly Pranav appeared. He was nice and sweet again. But she didn’t went out with him. He kept waiting for her for few days. Soon he sensed that it was useless. He sent divorce notice. She agreed. Pranav called her and said “ You will live alone and die alone.” She answered “ It will be perfect since I don’t want you to be part of my life.” She knew that she didn’t know what would be her future but she didn’t want Pranav to be part of it. She preferred to be alone since he was too greedy. She accepted it and started to concentrate on her work.
