Adventure story. 350. New office

Tina was sleeping peacefully in her room. It was her normal and perfect day. Her entire schedule was totally fixed. She planned everything in perfect way. Her entire life was settled. She knew that she was going to wake on fixed time with help of alarm. She was living her normal life where everything was fixed and perfect. She was doing her job working hard and expecting a promotion soon. Then her alarm bell ran she went in kitchen had her breakfast of jam and bread and then called her fiance Ajay. Like everyday they chatted for few hours and then she disconnected her call. Everything was going ahead as per her wish and was perfect. She came here in this town just for progress of her career and she managed it very well. Then soon she found a nice boy in town and started visiting cafes with him. She had to tell it to her family soon and then they were engaged. Nothing was confusing everything was just as it's supposed to be. She was totally sure that had like for contract and going to remain on track. On that morning she went out on her fixed time. Then she went in her office and she was doing her work. When her colleague came near her with smile. It was shocking to her since colleagues never disturbed her until she went to them and talk with them. She was not rude but she was not friendly too. And it was clear to her from first day that their boss hated those juniors who talked too much. It was frustrating for her when someone disturbed her during her work. But she knew that she had just began her work so she had to talk with this colleague. "Good Morning what happened?" " Well you're not a girl pretending to be innocent. You are super girl who managed to get promotion such quickly with such efficiency. While you were working so sincerely we were trying just to impress Boss." She didn't understand cause of this outburst. Then another colleague join them and said " Come on stop buttering up her. It is not going to give any profit to you. She never even like to chat with us she would never help us in anything." She felt so hurt by this comment. She didn't like chatting it was her nature but everyone took it in a bad way. She wanted to talk with them but she didn't like them. After saying this everyone started laughing at this as if it was some joke but it was not joke in her eyes. It was hurting her soul when they started taunting her like this. She didn't say anything she just returned back to her work when her boss called her in cabin. She slowly sat in a chair before her boss. Her boss "Did those other member of staff started harrassing you again?" When she didn't answer him he sensed that they were doing it again. He saw from day one she worked sincerely for company while other members kept harassing her for her hard work. They wanted her to work slow just like them. They were not ready to get better but instead of that they wanted her to come behind like them. This was the wrong mentality of human beings which manage to destroy many developments. Her boss many time tried to intervene but it was useless. Anyway now he knew that it was going to be over since she was getting her very much deserved promotion. Her boss smiled and said " But you don't need to worry about them any longer. Since you are going to become Boss soon." Her boss gave her one envelope but she was totally confused. She just kept looking at his face instead of opening it. Her boss smiled and said once again " Open it. You are going to become Boss." She finally opened it. It was her order for promotion. But she was not supposed to stay here she had to shift in another town. She was so confused since now her schedule was going to be effected. Her so called perfect life was not going to be perfect anymore it was going to change. But if she needed promotion in life she must had to handle it. She needed to move ahead in life with changes which were coming ahead. She was so upset but still she must feel happy too. She got promotion so she had to feel happy but her fear regarding new place was completely capturing her happiness. Her boss looked at her with confused expression and asked " What happened you are not looking happy about your promotion?" " Actually I don't know anything about this town." " Ohh!!" Her boss smiled and said "Don't worry it is nice town. Company would provide you with arrangement of house so you don't need to search for house. About other things you can inquire junior after all you are going to be Boss so they would surely help you." She knew that her boss always felt that way but it was not easy for her to become Boss. She was not sure that she could able to control entire staff. But she knew one thing that she had to take the order so she nodded and took that order. When She Smiles since she thought that her parents and Ajay would be happy about it. After all she was going to become Boss. She came out with full confidence but she decided to ignore all those colleagues who always insulted her and went out of that door.
     When Tina came out of that office she did first thing first to sit in garden and called her parents. When she told her mom and dad about her promotion, they jumped with joy. After all they kept her away like that from them just for her professional progress and she was achieving it. After hearing their voice she suddenly begin to feel positive about this promotion. Then she called Ajay and told him about it. But when he heard about it he suddenly started to sound angry and upset. Ajay " Did you accepted it?" " Yes. Why shouldn't I...I need a promotion?" " And what about me? If you stay there in that town I cannot come there." " Why? Can't you get a transfer?" He was so angry he suddenly screamed on her " I am not your pet dog don't try to treat me like one. I have my job too and I have my priorities too. You don't have any friends on your workplace but I have many. I am attached my office I can't just quit it overnight just because you wished. Stop dominating me this way." " But I need that promotion." She was on verge of tears now. Ajay " Do as you like but I am not going to follow you everywhere?" Then he disconnected her call. She tried to call him again but he didn't took her calls. She was so confused. Suddenly entire situation was turned in totally different way. She was confused that what she supposed to do what she knew one thing that she could not hurt her parents so she had to take this promotion. She decided that she could convince Ajay later and she took auto for her house. Then she returned home and started her computer. Computer was major part of her life she made many friends on it. Natasha was her favourite friend on computer. She decided that she must tell her entire story. She opened her account and started to type. Soon she wrote her entire story on it. Then she started waiting for Natasha. But instead of Natasha another friend from computer came there. Ravi was online on that time. She never paid much attention to him but he started typing she started reading. Ravi typed ' you should not quit your opportunity for Ajay. If a guy is not cooperating you before marriage how could you expect any corporation from him after marriage?' She typed ' He could not keep his entire career just for me.' ' yes but he could have to tell you in better way.' She was confused again. ' I don't understand what you are talking about?' while typing on Internet it seemed so much like talking to another person so she totally forgot that she was not talking to human being but just typing on a machine. ' she could have requested view or he could have said that you could have distance relationship during few years!! I mean there are plenty of options but he was not concerned about you at all.' she didn't like the way Ravi was putting intimated before her. She knew that a girl like her and she like a job too so she didn't want to break the relationship. She felt safe and Secure in this commitment and she didn't want to change it. She began to think that Ravi might be jealous of her secure relationship. She typed ' In my eyes emotions are more important than money.' 'But what about your parents emotion?' She didn't like the way she was putting entire matter. She needed her parents priority for her marriage not her career. ' I don't think it will hurt them. They never want me to break my engagement with Ajay.' Ravi didn't type anything for some moment. She waited for his reply. Finally he wrote ' Why you always have to give importance to other than your career and future? This is common problem with women.' She was so angry. Her life was not just moving on her decision. She had to consider review of other peoples too. She could not just move ahead and decide whatever she wanted. If she decided to break this engagement and there would be big drama in her family. This engagement was fixed before many people and now they had to tell each one of them as she had to break her engagement. She didn't feel anyone could understand that she had to quit her fiancee for her job. They would support her fiancee and tell her that she must quit her job. After all when she would plan for kids she had to quit it anyway. Everyone was going to say this only. But Ravi was man so he didn't understand those issues. She didn't want to argue with him. She decided to stop typing. For some time no one came but then Natasha came too. She read all and then she typed ' Quitting job for a day seems like risky thing to me. In fact he didn't seem that much promising to me from beginning. This was not first time when he screamed on you. In fact I feel it was starting of his attitude. If he talked sweetly with you about quitting this job I could have suggested you to quit it but now things were not as simple as they seemed.' 'I don't understand what did you suggesting? ' ' I am suggesting he is too bossy. I don't feel he will prove nice husband to you.' She was expecting different and entire conversation turned in different way. She no longer felt any faith on those friends whom she could not see. She was expecting suggestions regarding how to make patch up from them but instead of them they told her to break up. She began to feel that those friends were not trust worthy. But still she did not want to break friendship with them. She started typing to look pleasant before them. She changed subject immediately. She started talking about different things. Natasha took the signal and started talking about different things too. But Ravi was not understanding like Natasha he kept insisting on same issue. Finally she typed ' Ok Ravi I will try to not quit this job.' Ravi sent smiley. She happily received it. But in her heart she knew very well that she could not continue this job. She had to quit it since her engagement was more important than her job. She called Ajay and told him about it. Ajay was shocked and upset. " You need to do that job too since we need money." " But I was offered promotion if I say no to them they might fire me." " It is not like that in offices. They will give this opportunity to someone else." " No Ajay I am not ready to stay in that office as a junior for all life. I have to either take this promotion or quit job." " Fine fine try the job for few days and then take the transfer." She agreed to this. But somewhere in her heart she sensed that Ajay was totally changed. She looked at watch it was too late so she decided that she would talk with her parents tomorrow. She went to sleep but she could not able to sleep on that night.
     Next day before breakfast Tina wanted to talk with her parents. They were too busy in their Yoga classes. When she tried to talk but they put the phone on silent and messaged her that she should not talk at this moment. She was so frustrated. She wanted help from them. But they were too busy in their life. Finally she called her Boss. She told him her entire problem. He heard it carefully and finally said " I can cancel your promotion and keep you in the office but frankly I don't think it is wise idea. In office they know about your promotion if you cancel it now they were going to taunt you and harass you. And I can tell you clearly that I can not come for your defence. Since you are acting in totally wrong with your company. You're supposed to go in different state for your company and you are denying it. You need to do such duties and if you keep just working here then you are going to be useless for this company." She felt so frustrated but she knew her boss was telling her the truth. She had to work in other states too. They were not sending her in some forest but in nice city and she could easily enjoy her life in it. But other was her only trouble if he could understand her need then they could easily adjust in that new city. But Tina knew that it was not going to happen since Ajay did not want to quit his job. She was even ready to quit her job but his desire that she should keep working in that office was impossible for her. She could not keep working there with that staff. When she didn't say anything on phone finally her boss said " Don't keep that promotion or just quit this job don't try to go back in that office it is not going to be any good news for you. If you don't take that promotion head office is going to get angry  so it will be useless to keep working for them. They will never give increment on promotion so you will be stuck on this position. So I did take promotion or start in a new way by taking new job. It is your choice I can't decide it for you but I feel that you must not quit this job. You have to take promotion and try to stay in new place." " Thanks for your advice. Can you give me some time?" " I can give you two days not more than that." She thanked him again and disconnected the call. When she called Ajay and started talking with him about entire situation. This time he talked nicely which was becoming rare day by day. He said " Don't worry don't take any tension. Just do as he says. Go ahead and join the job I am with you." He said it also nicely that she felt relieved. She asked him " You are not angry?" " Not at all do you feel I am such an unreasonable person?!! I can understand your troubles easily. I know you need to go to that job. I was upset and beginning because I felt I am not going to see you for many months. But then I sensed that it was going to happen many times in our life. We must handle it. Beginning I was not ready to accept the truth but now I started accepting it." She felt so peaceful and happy at his response. She neve expected such a big change in him. But she was truly acting as she hoped. It seems that her guess proved true and all her chatting friends proved wrong. She was on top of the world. She never expected such a big achievement in her relationship with Ajay. She was so happy. She talked with him for some time but then he had to go back to his work so she disconnected call. And she immediately called her boss and told him that she was ready to go in new state. Her boss was not as happy as she thought. Her Boss " Ajay agreed?!!" " Yes." She was talking happily but there was suspicion in her Boss's voice. When he didn't say anything properly, she started talking again. " So our problem is over." Then he said " Great." But she sensed a strange effect in Boss's voice , he was totally agree with her chat friends. She was never on friendly terms in such a way with her boss that he could tell her against Ajay so he could not tell it as clearly as her friends. But she felt it in his voice. She knew very well that he didn't want how to keep faith on Ajay. But her boss just said " Congratulation and join your duty as soon as possible maybe tomorrow?" Tomorrow was too soon for her she was not ready but then she thought what was use in demanding more time. It was better that she should join her job and start her work as soon as possible. "Okay I will join my duty tomorrow." Her boss " Great then I will call that office." She disconnected the call and started packing things. She was so frustrated by all this. She didn't even called her parents. They didn't answer her call when she needed. She put her mobile on slient to avoid them. She started packing then she remembered that she forgot to book ticket. But then she thought that it was off season so she could get tickets easily. She packed her suitcases and closed house. It was not that much easy had to close entire house for permanent basis. She packed her fruits and vegetables and then she started to feel and then she started to feel confused whom she supposed to give them. When she decided to call watchman, she told him entire story and said that he should supposed to take both vegetables and fruits. He looked very happy and told her that he would help her with her luggage. Then with his help she managed to do many other things which were required. Finally she was too tired when she closed her house but she knew that she had to leave immediately so she decided that she could relax on railway station. She took auto night watchman had brought and went immediately towards station.
      When Tina sat station peacefully she started thinking about incidence of entire day. She looked at her phone and she noticed that there were many missed calls from her parents. She totally forgot that she put her phone on silent mode. She was too angry on that moment she didn't understand her parents needed to do exercises too. When her mom picked up her call she sounded clearly scared. " What happened you have not call me back I was calling you for such a long time?" " Well Mom I supposed to join my job tomorrow." " Tomorrow? So fast?" " It is important to do work as quickly as possible. Actually in this new office they got some important project so I needed to go as fast as possible." She lied to her Mom since she did not want to tell her entire truth. She felt that she could not avoid entire matter like that so she took deep breath and started telling Mom " actually mom at beginning Ajay started insisting on not going in the different state and I got so confused." " What? you can't quit your job after so much efforts!!" " Mom it's alright I was trying to decide but then I thought I will get married one day I have to quit it." " That is not true many women keep doing job even after getting married and having babies." " I know mom but situation was so strange." " So?" " When I started talking about quitting job once again he objected and he said that he would adjust with this transfer." " Oh so he didn't want to lose money?" " Mom stop it. You want me to marry him then don't talk against him like that!!" " Sorry...sorry I need to keep control on my anger." " Mom the way you talk sometimes I see maybe I should drop idea of marrying Ajay." " No..no never think of it you have engaged with him before people if you cancel this marriage it could be embarrassment for all." " I know mom and I still like him but now his attitude is changed." " Nothing is changed. He was bossy from beginning only." " But he was your choice you had decided that you wanted to marry him?!!" " Yes Mom at that time he was at least nice on few occasions and most importantly on that. I needed help and he helped me a lot. I was new here you were at your home and I was alone. I went to ask for help to Aunt whose number you have gave but she was not that much really but he was staying with her as paying guest and he helped me in everything. At that time I feel he was hero. He was doing one favour after another to me. So I felt he was a nice man and perfect choice for us. But now I don't know he manage to change his attitude." " Tell me all in details." She slowly started telling all. Mom " such arguments happen in life if he is ready to let you do your job now then try it." " Mom I don't know I am confused." " Marriage give you need to choose partner properly and you decided  him so you could not leave him so quickly we will not permit you to do that." Her mom sounded very angry. She knew it was not her mistake. She was the one who introduced Ajay to them all. Due to her they respected Ajay and even like him. Now she was telling them to change their attitude. In few days they could not be changed." Mom he is not so nice.." before she could say anything further her train was announced. She had to work hard to find her berth. Finally she settled. Then once again she started to feel tense and bored. She was so upset but she didn't want to share her thoughts with her mom. She forced them to think positive about Ajay now she wanted them to change suddenly which was her her mistake and it was not their mistake. She started looking at her phone and then suddenly she noticed her app. She decided to chat with her friend again. She was lucky Natasha came to chat immediately. She told her how did Ajay was ready to accommodate. Natasha started admiring him but then suddenly Ravi appeared. He typed ' So did he help you with packing?' she was confused once again she never thought about his help during packing. ' No I don't ask for it.' ' What you never ask for his help while packing things?' ' No I am independent  I don't need men for doing my little things.' ' Great but what about tiffin did you make tiffin for him?' actually before meeting her he used to order tiffin but now she wanted to save money so she decided that she could cook for them both. But she sensed that if she typed it would look totally wrong. So she lied once again. ' Actually regarding food he did his arrangement and I did mine.' ' Good but when he get married with you also tell him to do little bit housework. Wife is working or not man also needed to do little bit work in house after all family is his responsibility too.' She was shocked when man typed such a comments. She thought that he was just pretending. After all she is not going to visit his house to see how did he act in with his family. Ravi typed ' I mean household work will continue everyday and even a lady need some time now. On job we have Saturday Sunday or just sunday but in this job there is no vacation. We eat everyday.' she like the way he was typing but she felt that it was not truth. But still she wrote ' Great thought.' Then they kept discussing about other matters. Finally he had to go back to his work so he went offline. As soon as he went offline Natasha typed ' This man is admirable if he is truthful.' ' We can't tell since we can't see him at his home.' ' My husband help me little bit in house but in limited way.' Then finally Natasha needed to go back to work too. So she sat alone in train while looking out of window. She was in sad mood so she didn't do anything just keep looking outside. That journey was worst journey for her. She kept around looking at passenger and kept thinking did their life were good after marriage. She had to marry Ajay but still she was confused.
          When Tina reached in that state, she called Ajay. A woman picked up his phone. Tina was confused. " Is it Ajay's mobile?" "Yes and I am his wife and don't dare to call him again." You witch so frustrated. She screamed in anger " I am his Fiancee and I don't like this type of jokes." When she heard little bit argument in background and finally Ajay came on phone. Ajay " Sorry this news broke for you in this way that I need to get rid of you." "What? I don't understand what did you mean?" " When you started acting so strange after that accident. I mean it was my mistake that I was driving but your legs were not proper now there is a limp." She looked at herself. She looked at her leg and it was not proper. But she lied for Ajay and she expected him to adjust with her. After engagement wandering around since Ajay's friends were giving parties. They always kept hot drinks in those parties. She hate it when Ajay got drunk. But she always kept him away from steering wheel. That day she was driving but Ajay was drunk and he was stubborn too. He started insisting to her that she wanted to drive. She didn't let him but she pushed her and finally vehicle lost control. Their car crashed in auto. She suddenly started to hear cries of mother and small child. She began to feel a strange pain in head. She was in unknown state and she knew that no one was going to help her here. She started searching for number and finally she found number of hospital where she was taken after accident. She called receptionist and told her to connect to doctor immediately. When she was connected to Doctor, then she tried hard to talk with doctor. But she couldn't those screams capturing her mind. She started screaming in pain even on phone. Then finally her phone fell out of her hand. She kept screaming but no one could able to hear her scream because of AC room. Entire room was completely soundproof. Slowly she began to say that she could not see anything around her and she fell on that carpet. When she woke up she was in hospital and saline was attached to her hand. She looked around for any familiar face. But every face was unknown to her. She was so upset. Finally a friendly lady doctor came inside her room. She sat near her and said " don't worry your mom dad are coming here very soon." She felt relieved. That lady doctor " Your doctor called me and told me about your condition. Why did you took so long to take psychiatric treatment. You are educated person and educated person like you needed to understand importance of psychology." " Actually Ajay was against it." " I don't understand why did Ajay decide everything for you? He was culprit of entire incidence and he is treating you as if you are culprit." " Because I am always weak before him. I am not good at bossing on people or arguing with them." " But these are not positive side of personality in fact these are negative side of personality." Tina nodded with sad smile. " Yes but still he is happily married man now I am the one who is in hospital with this leg." " It happened because you lied for him. He killed people still protected him since you loved him. Which was totally wrong thing. Do you accept it?" Tina nodded. " You didn't told Cops that you pushed by him. Instead of telling truth you bargain truth with him in hope of marriage." " But it looked as if sacrifice for love on that point." " Because he presented it before you this way since he wanted to be away from jail." " So what did I supposed to do now? Should I go and tell police entire truth?" "No it is too late  since now he will tell them that you are taking revenge of him since he married to another woman. You cannot prove anything now." She started crying slowly. " I did injustice to the passengers of that auto and what I got in return nothing. I deserve this punishment." " No you don't. In fact you are taking other persons punishment on yourself which was totally wrong. Your entire office hated you since they thought you have killed a child. When you have never killed anyone in fact you tried to your best to protect them Ajay did. Now you are feeling post-traumatic symptoms due to your actions. You are feeling guilty since you lied to them all. Somewhere your unconscious wanted punishment for Ajay. Now after this treatment you will be fine." She nodded. After sometimes her parents came in hospital. She called her boss and told him that she was sick. Her boss " But you need to join as soon as possible." " Don't worry I will be out of hospital in 2 days." Great." After that she started psychological treatment. In new office no one knew about her past. He didn't know about her accident or about that kid who died in it. But it kept coming in mind finally one day she decided that she must call that mom. But then she decided against it. Finally someone from new office also manage to get that news of accident. They started talking behind her back but she heard it one day.  They were talking about drunk driving. " Do you feeling madam was drunk on that point?" " Why else she should lose control over car?" " Because my drunk fiance pushed me and I took his whole blame in madness of my love?" They all looked scared. " Sorry boss." " It is not your mistake you are interested in your boss's life that is common. But you must know my entire story truthfully." Then she told them everything. " Madam why did you kept dragging that relationship?" She gave sad smile and said "Because I have not visiting a psychiatrist." " You went to psychiatrist?!!" " Yes and I recommend that if such a drama ever happened in anyone's life he should visit or she should visit psychiatrist." They nodded. After her treatment started she sent that Ravi was not coming in chat room. She decided to talk about it to Natasha one day. She typed ' Ravi is missing now a days' ' Ravi? Who?' she was shocked. She just changed subject. Then she started searching for Ravi but she could not find him anywhere. She slowly sensed that Ravi was not existed. She was so scared. She immediately called her psychiatrist who told her to come on hangout. Then slowly psychiatrist convinced that Ravi was never existed but it was a character of her subconscious mind which was warning her against Ajay. " But this was too much an imaginary person am I mad?" Psychiatrist started laughing. " You never sensed it when you were and now when you are ok you are asking me that question? That's magic of the sickness." Then Tina started laughing with psychiatrist. She felt most relieved from her mind.
