Sarika's employer
Sarika was preparing home for ceremony. She was new to these things. She was arranging all properly. She was so happy. She was laughing loudly. She looked towards her house. It was perfect. She wanted to enter in that house. She needed to feel positive about that house. It was essential. After long time she finally managed to enter in new house. She was watching every corner of that house & it’s beautiful. She smiled happily. She wanted to feel positive about house but her heart was so negative about entire incidence. She knew that it was hard for her to find positivity in that house. She didn’t understand why she was feeling so negative towards that house. She looked towards it. She suddenly shivered. It had odd dark shadow behind it. She wanted to call someone when her husband Tushar came from behind & smiled sweetly. He said “ Come on. Let’s go inside.” She shivered with fear & on that point alarm rang. She didn’t look at timing. She just ran in kitchen & began to prepare. She needed to send her both kids to school. She needed to work fast. She began to search for items. She suddenly got confused. There were not any item which she needed for preparing breakfast. She began to search in cupboards. All were empty. She began to open them all. She started banging them one after another. Soon she sensed that no one was coming in kitchen. Tushar wasn’t coming. She ran in children’s bedroom. She noticed one figure which was sleeping peacefully. She ran towards it & started to tell “ Come on hurry up. You are getting late for school. Come on.” She pulled bedcover & she found there was just pillow under it. She was so confused. She began to look around. She started to search for her children. On that point she sensed that there was nothing in room which belonged to children. That room was mostly empty & unused. She didn’t understand where was stuff that she began to search on that point one angry voice came behind. “ What are you doing here?” She turned around. It was her employer Ragini. Ragini was clearly angry since she was wandering in Ragini’s house without her permission. Sarika understood that she managed to confuse all. Her alarm rang & she supposed to prepare breakfast for Ragini’s elderly father-in-law. She supposed to take care of that old man. Sarika smiled & said nervously “ Sorry Madam I confused room.” Ragini “ You need to go to that room which is exactly on opposite side! You need to be careful next time.” Sarika nodded. Then Ragini talked to herself “ It’s better if I keep these rooms locked.” Sarika knew that Ragini didn’t trust her. Sarika didn’t mind it. After all her husband Tushar didn’t appreciated her. She suddenly began to remember her painful past. She was taking care of her family. She was doing all perfectly. But she never sensed that she was losing touch with them. They no longer cared for her. She was just one servant to them. Tushar kept demanding things she did them. Then her kids kept demanding things. She did them too. She kept doing all until one day Tushar didn’t declared that he was no longer interested in her. She was so shocked. He gave divorce paper to her. Tushar “ I will keep kids with me. So you will need just limited money. You can start earning too.” She was so angry. She screamed “ I will not give divorce. You can’t left me like that!” “ Then what will you do? You can't manage yourself! You never earn any money until now. Then look at your weight. You are an overweight woman who doesn’t seem suitable as wife for man like me. I have my status.” She was so angry. But when she looked in mirror she suddenly began to get nervous. She was fat & her hairs were started to become white too. She didn’t understand why she needed to ignore all that! Since she felt that Tushar loved her. She was expecting love as some precious gift. She didn’t feel that he could betray her like that. It was so shocking. His betrayal wasn’t expected. But then she remembered her kids. Her children loved her. She remembered every step of their childhood & their affection, love towards their Mom. She couldn’t believe that her children would go against her. She looked nervously towards their rooms. She said “ I want my kids.” Tushar smiled & said “ But they don’t want you. You can go ahead & ask.” She was about to turn & go in their room when she saw her kids. They were looking towards her with one hatred. She understood all through their eyes. They didn’t want her. They wanted money & secure future which their Dad could give them. Then Tushar added “ I am marrying to a famous actress.” She didn’t want to hear more. She wasn’t interested. She just asked “ How could I survive?” “ Don’t worry. I can arrange something for you. Maybe some job!” She didn’t object. She was alone in this world without any one towards whom she could turn for help. She had her siblings but she knew that they would never help her much. So she took that job. Now she was going in kitchen. She was cooking for sick old man not for her kids. Now she found all that she needed for her cooking. She began her work. She set that alarm since that old man needed food to be served on time. This old man wasn’t nice person. He kept insulting people without cause time to time. They said that he was same way for entire life. He was abusive towards wife & his children. He was lucky that his son decided to keep him in home instead of throwing him in some nursing home of old people. His son Rakesh always said “ How much bad he might have acted I can’t become cruel like him?” So his daughter-in-law Ragini decided to keep a maid to take care of him. Sarika was so nervous. She was just maid & due to her old memories she acted like owner of house. Mistress of house! She was just maid. She was trying hard to control tears when Ragini came from behind. Ragini “ Did I talk with you too harshly?” Sarika didn’t say anything. Ragini “ Actually I just woke up from sleep so I acted that way. I don’t mean to act like that.” Sarika didn’t say anything. She knew that Ragini was lying. Ragini didn’t want Sarika to quit job like last maid or it was possible multiple last maids. Sarika didn’t say anything. She just prepared breakfast for old man & went in room to give it to him.
Sarika entered in room. Old man whom she needed to take care was called Mahesh Seth. Mahesh Seth was old man who was not totally handicap but he needed everything to be provided in hand since he wanted it. Mahesh Seth was sleeping peacefully on bed. She slowly came near his bed & sat on chair. Sarika began to arrange all things on table. On that point suddenly Mahesh Seth screamed “ Who is it?” Now once again she knew that she would be considered thief. In this house they just didn’t trust her. She slowly said “ I am just arranging your breakfast.” Then Mahesh Seth slowly looked towards her. He smiled in strange way. She didn’t like it. But she knew that this old man couldn’t harm her. She tried her best to keep positivity. She slowly arranged all breakfast properly on table. She began to look carefully towards things arranged on table. Then she said “ I arranged all. Do you need help to sit on chair?” He turned head negatively. He slowly tried to stand up. She couldn’t help admiring his stubbornness. He tried his best to act independent. Then he screamed on her “ Serve me. I don’t understand why they waste money on useless maid like you.” Then he gave odd smile & said “ Of course. I remember now. Your husband wanted to get rid of you so send you here.” She didn’t want to cry but tears started forming in her eyes & that old man, Mahesh Seth started laughing. He was so cruel. Sometimes she just wished to kill him. But he said with smile “ You can’t kill me since if I die my family will be happy to have inheritance but you will lose job. I don’t kept anything on your name in my Will” she was so shocked. He literally read her mind. She immediately started cleaning room. He began to laugh. Then he screamed angrily “ Never think evil about me. I can hear all your thoughts. Have you understand it? I am not normal man.” She was so angry. But she knew that she needed to do this job. She got nice room & if she did all properly then they might find some permanent help for her. She was so tense at this point. She didn’t want to argue. She began to arrange all as per Mahesh Seth’s desire. She didn’t do anything that might upset him. She didn’t want to think about her past. She was having nice life. She didn’t understand how could she miss those moments when Tushar began to replace her. She was handling her house nicely. She felt that they were happy but she never thought that one maid could replace her. She was not much more than maid. She assumed their love. But husband & children supposed to love. She didn’t understand that she guessed all so wrong. Her husband never loved her & her children didn’t seem to like her too. She arranged all. Then as she was about to go out Mahesh Seth said “ Sit down.” She sat in chair again. Then Mahesh Seth picked up TV remote & started watching TV. He was watching it carefully. Now she needed to sit chair before TV. She was sitting since Mahesh Seth was watching TV. She was feeling so stressed. She didn’t like programmes he watched. Once she had TV remote in hand when she was wife of Tushar. She used to watch TV for hours. She was so happy. She smiled at those memories. She was so positive when she remembered those sweet moments of her life. She didn’t see any human in them. It was odd that she just had memories of luxuries which she enjoyed. It seemed as if she was no longer concerned about people who once used to stay with her. It was as if all her bonds were broken but when she went to sleep suddenly she was once again in her old world. She wished only if her kids had love towards her. Then she could have got better life. Suddenly she sensed that she wanted her kids just because she wanted money & luxuries. They were not important for her. She didn’t need to ignore them. But she was mother. She needed to understand that she couldn’t provide good life to her children so they took right decision. She felt so upset. She didn’t understand why she kept thinking of her past. Then suddenly Mahesh Seth asked her “ Why don’t you marry me?” She felt so tense. She wasn’t expecting this. She was so frustrated. She had financial issues but she couldn’t marry this old man. Then Mahesh Seth started laughing. “ You are so funny. You need to think so much before saying no? Are you truly in love with me?” Then he laughed in louder voice. She felt so uneasy. She just said “ Can I go to my room?” He looked towards her angrily. She was so scared that he might say no but he gave odd smile & said “ Yes. Just go & sleep. I am feeding you for free. I am running one charity organisation.” She was upset. This was clear indication that she couldn’t go out. She supposed to sit there for hours watching this old man. She decided that she wasn’t going to watch him so she began to look out of window. She could see nothing there since that window was closed. She wished to open it but she couldn’t. She just kept looking towards close window. Finally Mahesh Seth fall asleep while watching TV. She wanted to close TV but she didn’t dare. It might upset Mahesh Seth so she kept sitting. She didn’t understand how long it took but finally Mahesh Seth woke up. He looked towards TV & said “ I got bored. Now I will sleep.” She asked “ What about breakfast?” He gave her angry look & said “ Now I will sleep.” She nodded. On that point Ragini came. Ragini said “ But you need to…” “ Just get out. You are living on my money. Do you understand?” Ragini looked hurt but she nodded. “ Your husband earn but it all belong to me. You know very well Rakesh married to you just to please me. He don’t love you.” Ragini didn’t say anything. Sarika was shocked now. She didn’t know about these things but honestly she didn’t even care about them. Sarika wanted to remain in this job so she was planning to do whatever she was told to do. She didn’t want to question anything. Slowly Sarika took breakfast & came out. Sarika was so hurt. Sarika didn’t understand what she supposed to do but on that point suddenly before her Ragini began to laugh. Ragini came near her & asked “ Auntie where is my Mom?” Sarika kept looking at her. Then Ragini said “ Can you give me those chocolates?” Sarika looked towards chocolate bar. She nodded. She gave chocolate bar to Ragini & Ragini laughed like child. Ragini’s voice was coming from her mouth but it was happening & Ragini was her Boss so Sarika gave chocolate. Sarika kept watching her as Ragini ran & dance around like child.
Sarika was so scared. She began to feel that she needed some solution. She immediately called Tushar. “ I don’t want this job. You must make some arrangements for me. I am your wife for such a long time. Can’t you show some kindness to me?” “ Really so what do you want? A palace for that little bit work you done in my house?” “ I don’t want big house just one room is enough & I have some money in bank account I will manage on it.” Tushar didn’t say anything. Then he said “ Fine. I will arrange but I want easy divorce.” She immediately agreed. She just wanted to go out of that house. Tushar laughed & said “ So you got tired of that old man so soon?” “ It’s not about that old man. His daughter-in-law Ragini! She is mad woman!” “ Which daughter-in-law? That old man is childless.” “ No..no he have son & daughter-in-law!” “ Have you met them?” “ I met Ragini but never her husband.” “ Just go & ask that..” before he could complete line. Suddenly Ragini entered. “ Why you are wasting time here? Go & do your job.” Sarika was so scared now. That she just ran in her room. She began to pack. But Ragini came behind her. Ragini “ You can’t escape! Can you?” She started packing as fast as possible. When suddenly Mahesh Seth came. Mahesh Seth “ What are you doing?” “ You can see her can’t you?” “ Who?” “ Your daughter-in-law Ragini!” Mahesh Seth looked scared. “ Let’s stop discussing her.” “ I want to know. Who is this lady? I talked with Tushar &..” “ What you told him that you are seeing her? Don’t you understand? She isn’t my daughter-in-law but she is that woman whom Tushar is planning to marry! You are imagining her. You have started losing your mind. I am adjusting with you. Just marry with me..” she screamed loudly “No..no.” She immediately ran out. She began to search for hospital. She found one. She went inside without hesitation. She declared what happened with her. She got appointment of psychiatrist. She went to talk with psychiatrist. She told all step by step. Psychiatrist “ Do you see that woman here now?” She turned her head negatively. Psychiatrist “ You saw her anywhere else.” She once again nodded negatively. On that point she suddenly felt odd sensation. She saw Ragini again. She pointed her to psychiatrist. “ She is here.” Psychiatrist nodded. Psychiatrist told her “ Just relax. I feel I need to admit you for sometime. You might have some mental issues.” She nodded. She was feeling so cold. She didn’t feel sure that she was imagining. Then Psychiatrist asked for Tushar’s number. Psychiatrist took it & send her away with nurse. He called Tushar. Psychiatrist “ Your wife just admitted in hospital.” “ Really! I don’t understand why?! Is she sick?” “ She is mentally ill she is seeing some imaginary lady.” Tushar “ But she never have such issues.” “ Maybe due to stress of divorce her mental issue came out!” “ Come on many people took divorce I feel she is doing this to avoid Divorce.” “ I don’t think so. Any way now she can’t come for Divorce procedure you need to wait until she become fine or you can file Divorce on ground of mental issue.” Tushar was so angry. “ This woman was curse on my life in past & she will become same in future. Now I need to do all Divorce procedures in hard way.” “ You can do as you want but my client isn’t going to come.” Psychiatrist disconnected call. Psychiatrist didn’t care for Tushar. He could see marks on Sarika’s hand. She knew that Tushar must be abusive towards her. It was possible her mental issue developed just due to Tushar. Then even that Mahesh Seth wanted to make her wife. It was clear that she was send because Tushar wanted something from Mahesh Seth. Psychiatrist didn’t know what. But Psychiatrist knew one thing that he was going to cure Sarika. It might take time but Sarika would be cure & Tushar would need to pay all money for it. Psychiatrist was going to make sure that it would happen. While Psychiatrist began next patient. In office Tushar was so frustrated. He never thought that Sarika would reach psychiatrist. He was hoping that he could keep her permanently with Mahesh Seth. If possible he was planning to force marriage with Mahesh Seth on Sarika. He wanted money since he spent so much on Sarika. He was planning to marry Ragini. But he knew that Ragini didn’t want burden from last marriage so he needed to keep kids in hostel. Now he needed to spend money on his entire family of first marriage. He was so frustrated. He called Ragini. But immediately Ragini declared that she was planning to marry some other person. She said “ Sorry but I can’t keep waiting for divorce.” So it was over just like that. So now he had one mad wife Sarika whom he had deserted & kids he needed to take care off he was so angry. But he told himself that it was okay. He would find some one else. He just called Cab & send away his children. When they went away, he sat before TV & began to scream & abuse in frustration in air. He was losing his mental balance but he always did no one was going to stop him or blame him since he got money & he was not going to psychiatrist like Sarika. He was clever man according to him. He didn’t care what world called him. He just kept watching TV & enjoying his own voice & anger on unknown people.
