Ravi's sister Tina
Ravi was watching sky carefully. It was clear. He sensed that rain was not going to fall. He didn’t want it to fall on that day. It was so special day for him. His best friend Aparna was going to come. It was so wrong if she get wet while coming to meet him. She was not his special friend but still she was best friend. She was his friend from childhood. She began to sense happiness in his heart. He knew that she was not fond of him the way he liked her. He felt so uneasy in mind. He knew that he never let his feelings came out before her. He was just her friend. But still he was so concerned about her. He wanted everything to be best for her. Ravi looked around in her house. He began to arrange proper decoration. He started to create colourful design. He personally designed each sofa cover. He began to create different designs for those sofa covers for at least 3 months. He worked so hard. He kept in mind every thing Aparna liked. He wanted to have them all in Sofa cover. He watched his sofa. It was perfect. He was totally sure that she would like it. He smiled happily. Then he once again went in kitchen. He looked in refrigerator. He confirmed that everything was kept in right way. He smiled happily. He even managed to get all her favourite book. It was truly pleasant feeling for him. He was so happy. He felt so pleasant by all. He suddenly turned towards his CDs. He began to confirm he got all her favourite movie CDs too. He smiled happily. Everything was perfect in his eyes. He knew that he got TV but on TV he couldn’t insist on programme of her choice so he decided to select CDs. He wanted to make her happy. He looked around. He sensed that this house was perfect for her. He smiled happily. It was so wonderful. He watched carefully everything. He saw different decorations in his house. He kept feeling on each wall he could see different appeal. He started to admire those walls & their designs. He kept watching that decoration. He did all with so much care. Then his doorbell rang. He ran to open. His sister Tina was standing outside with her baby son Arun. He was so happy. Whenever he took Arun in his arms his life seemed like heaven. That little boy was gift from heaven to him. He slowly smiled & Arun jumped with smile towards him. He suddenly felt so happy. Arun managed to make his life so nice. Just due to Arun he felt happiness of pure love. When one child hold someone it was purely out of innocent affection. Adults showed love too but their relationship were complicated due to situations. Now Tina loved him but she always kept talking against Aparna. Tina disliked her. Tina wanted Ravi to get married with some girl. Ravi was after Aparna & Tina knew very well that Aparna was not responding to his love. Ravi felt that Aparna didn’t feel it but Tina felt that she choose to ignore. Tina looked around in house. “ My God you have changed entire house. Who create this design for sofa cover?” Tina was moving her hands in odd way on it. He smiled nervously & said nervously “ I did it.” Tina looked so shocked. Tina “ You redecorate all just to please her.” Now this managed to anger Ravi. Ravi “ I did it since I like it.” Then he took Arun in his arms. He was feeling so nervous. Tina was targeting him. He just looked towards Arun. With sweet smile Arun began to demand things. He just started to fulfil Arun’s demands. Tina was watching him carefully. Tina didn’t like Arun’s obsession with Aparna, Aparna never loved him. Aparna was nice girl but she never showed any desire to marry him. But Aparna never even said “ No” to him. Tina was so upset. Tina didn’t understand what would she say but Tina decided to ask Aprana on that day. Tina was so nervous. Tina was waiting. They all prepared lunch but Aparna didn’t come until 2 o’clock. Finally Ravi said “ Her train might be late. Let’s just eat food. Arun needed to eat.” Tina “ I need to eat too & you must eat too. I am sure Aparna would get something to eat in train.” Ravi nodded. Due to Arun they laughed & enjoyed Lunch properly. Then they waited for entire afternoon. Ravi kept calling her but nothing happened. She didn’t answer. Finally Ravi said “ I feel she is not going to come. Let’s prepare dinner.” Ravi began to feel that he was stupid person. He was running after girl who had no interest in him. Ravi started to plan different things for evening. Arun was so happy by this. But Tina was nervous. She knew that Ravi was trying to hide his feelings. Then they went in mall. Arun played in play zone & Ravi joined Arun in every game. Soon Ravi began to totally forget about Aparna. Aparna was his only source of hope until now but now Arun was his source of hope. He laughed & played. Tina smiled. But at same time Tina kept calling. Tina waited for long time. Then finally Tina decided to call Aparna’s Mom. Her Auntie took call. Her Auntie “ Aparna was in train & it had accident. We don’t know much. Her family went to search for her..” her Auntie started crying. Tina said “ I am so sorry.” & Tina disconnected call. On same time Ravi came from some joy ride. Ravi said with excitement “ Where is Aparna?” Tina “ What?” Arun “ We saw Aparna Auntie standing just behind you?“ Tina shivered with fear. Tina said “ You must be mistaken.” Ravi laughed. “ Don’t be naughty Aparna is here. We both saw her.” Arun nodded too. Tina didn’t understand. Suddenly Tina began to feel strange too. She started to feel air around her was so cold. She sensed that it might be possible that Aparna was dead & her soul came to meet them. Tina didn’t say anything. Then Ravi took hold of Tina’s hand & asked “ Are you alright? Why you are looking so pale?” “ Aparna was in train which had accident.” Ravi didn’t say anything. Then he said “ But I saw her.” Arun “ Mom I saw her too.” “ You must have imagined. Let’s go.” They all called one Cab. Immediately they ran out of mall. Suddenly they were feeling so cold as if some shadow was following them everywhere. They tried to relax. But even small Arun was tense. Finally they reached home. Ravi locked every thing. Tina decided to stay with Ravi on that night. No one wanted to go out. They were scared due to that incidence. They were sure all would be normal by morning.
In morning when Ravi woke up, he felt little bit odd but after entry of sunlight fear was gone. He didn’t understand how could he feel so upset. He turned to his side. He was alone in bedroom. He sensed that Tina & Arun already left. His sister didn’t even waited to talk with him. He felt so angry. Tina was so selfish. Tina always felt concerned just about herself. He felt so lonely in that room. He suddenly remembered Aparna. He supposed to be in love with her but yesterday just because he felt she was dead. He ran away from someone who looked like her. Ravi was so sad. Then his door bell rang. He was shocked to see Aparna standing outside. He looked towards her with affection. Aparna gave him angry look & asked “Why did you ran away from me like that yesterday?” He didn’t understand what he supposed to say. “ You told me you would come here yesterday..” Aparna gave him confused look. “ I told you I will come today.” “ Ohh I must have confused dates.” He smiled nervously. Aparna came inside. Aparna “ Where is Tina?” “ Actually she thought you are not coming so she left.” Now Aparna looked nervous. “ I can’t here alone.” He smiled too & immediately added “ Don’t worry. I will book hotel..” Aparna kept looking in his eyes. He could see positive in them. He knew that she was in love with him. He felt so sad & nervous. He needed to ask her. But he was so scared. He just gave nervous smile. Clearly she didn’t care much for it. She went ahead in house. She looked around & said “ Don’t worry. I will adjust in that room. I will call my best friend Isha too. Is it okay?” He nodded. Then she selected one room & went in it. He couldn’t believe it. He called Tina to tell her this news. Ravi “ Tina Aparna just came. She is fine.” Tina said slowly “ Try to understand Ravi. She is ghost!” He laughed slowly. Tina became so angry. Then he heard Aparna laughing loudly in strange way. He ran in room. Aparna pointed toward window. He sensed that they were full of some herbs. Soon he sensed that it was herbs used to keep ghost out. Aparna “ Why did you decorated your room like that? This is not temple. You must not keep such important religious things carelessly.” Aparna took out them all carefully & dedication. Aparna didn’t want to insult God anyway. It was so upsetting & stressful. Aparna didn’t understand why they did it on window. Ravi took it away but he was totally confused too. Ravi didn’t understand what was going on. Ravi was feeling so sad. He knew that Aparna was truly there. She was standing before him but he was so peaceful. He didn’t care if she was ghost. He wanted her to stay. He said “ I will arrange all.” Aparna smiled & said “ It was okay.” Then she gave shy smile & asked him “ My Mom was asking about us..I mean when you will fix date of marriage.” He began to love this dream. He knew that this was his imagination. His sister Tina told him Aparna was dead. It was so sad. But still he wanted to live it. Aparna said nervously “ So will you call your Mom or I shall?” He smiled & said dreamily “ You can!” She called. He felt entire incidence like dream but then finally she gave him mobile to him. His Mom began to talk happily. “ So finally after so many years you did it! You are planning to marry.” He felt so confused. He asked “ You heard her?” His Mom started laughing “ You feel this is all dream Ravi? Don’t you?” Ravi didn’t say anything. He sensed that he just fixed his marriage. There was no issue in it. He wanted to. But why did Tina said that. He was so confused. He smiled towards Aparna. Aparna gave shy smile. It was so upsetting. He didn’t understand what he supposed to say. Aparna kept watching him. Aparna “ What happened?” On that time door bell rang. Ravi felt it was better that someone decided to interfere. He just gave nervous smile & ran towards door. Tina was standing outside. He looked towards her. Tina was looking so upset. Tina asked “ Do you able to see me & my son Arun?” He nodded. Tina started laughing then Arun joined it. He was so shocked. He suddenly sensed touch on his shoulder. Aparna “ Why are you looking like that? First of all why did you open door?“ “ I heard..” he didn’t say anything further. No one was outside. Ravi felt so confused. Ravi “ I thought..” Aparna gave sad look. Her eyes were full of tears. “ You saw Tina & Arun again!” He didn’t say anything. He didn’t want to comment on it. He just went inside. He knew that Tina left so suddenly. She never went away like that. He knew that Tina & Arun were not there. Ravi asked Aparna “ I was sitting on that joy ride alone & talking to myself?” Aparna just looked away. “ Why did you plan to marry me? I mean I am still not normal..” “ You just need sometime. That’s all. It was so sudden.” “ I insisted. I told them to go by that train. Arun wanted to stay with me…but I want to go with you..” he gave angry look to Aparna. He said “ Just go.” Aparna “ It was not your mistake.. I want to..” “ Just go.” He screamed loudly. She startled & ran out of room. Ravi began to remember all. Tina & Arun came here. They were enjoying their stay. They were so happy. Tina’s husband was not kind sort of man. He knew that they did wrong by insisting on that marriage. But it was essential. Tina couldn’t able to find husband. They couldn’t arrange enough promising situation for her husband. Tina was beautiful but they had limited money so they couldn’t offer enough gifts to her in-laws. So they decided to fix her marriage with man who didn’t know how to speak with wife. They did it since Ravi was already in love with Aparna. They were child friends & Aparna began to insist on commitment. On that time they were forcing. But now all changed. After death Tina & Arun! Tina killed herself with her son. Tina jumped before train with Arun. Her life was impossible for her since her brother Ravi & her parents both were preoccupied in planning Ravi’s life. But now he didn’t want it. He remembered all.
Tina & Arun came to visit Ravi on that day. Arun hugged him. Ravi noticed few marks on Arun. Ravi convinced himself that children always fall somewhere. It was not unique. But Arun hugged him in odd way. Tina gave nervous smile. Tina asked “ Can I stay here for few days?” He just nodded. He was preoccupied with his own life. He wanted to go out with Aparna. He ignored Tina. He didn’t pay attention when Arun tried to hug him. Arun’s touch was telling him that Arun needed him. He played a lot with Arun. Still on that point Arun was not important to him. He pushed his little hand away & went to Aparna. He began to cry loudly. He knew that he couldn’t change past. He couldn’t stop himself. He kept seeing Arun & Tina again & again. He didn’t want to stop seeing them too. His door opened & his Mom came inside. He didn’t even sense it. His Mom looked towards him with shock. “ What happened? Where is Aparna?” “ Mom I am not going to marry her or anyone.” His Mom kept patting him. His Mom “ I know what happened with your sister Tina was worst but you can’t just keep blaming yourself? It was mistake of her husband & we are not going to leave him like that! We went in Court. We will punish him.” “ It will not bring back my sister &…” he couldn’t able to take name of that little boy. He was supposed to protect him but he didn’t. He was totally preoccupied with his life. “ It all happened since we want to throw Tina out of house & bring Aparna in. Just because Tina was daughter you choose to prefer me over her.” His Mom sounded angry & hurt “ That was lie. I did all inquiries about her husband. There was not one indication that he was bad.” “ Stop pretending! We all saw how does he use to talk!” “ Some men talk like that but that doesn’t mean they are evil & cruel.” “ You said same thing & convince us that marriage.” He began to scream on his Mom. “ Just go away. You don’t care for your daughter now you must see your son dying too.” He began to search for something. He wanted to hurt himself. He wanted to punish his family for sin they did. He needed to kill himself for it. He began to search. His Mom started crying. She began to call Doctor. He didn’t understand what did Doctor told. He was just busy in searching. His Mom called security. He didn’t able to find anything useful but he kept hurting himself with every sharp things. Finally Security came. They managed to take hold of him. He screamed & threw them away. Soon more people of society came. They managed to tie him to chair. He was screaming on them like some animal. He was no longer human in his mind. He was monster who didn’t care for Arun & Tina who killed them by ignoring them. He kept screaming. He could sense that they were waiting for some one. But he was not waiting for anyone. He kept screaming loudly. He wanted to just destroy all. He kept screaming when suddenly Doctors & Ward boys appeared with Nurses. He kept opposing them but they injected him. Soon his eyes closed. Everything went blank. Ravi’s Mom was crying. Soon Aparna joined Ravi’s Mom. Aparna was so sad. Aparna “ I don’t understand why he hated me so much?! Is it my mistake?” “ No..no Aparna! Don’t blame yourself. We all thought that Tina will be adjusted in that house. We never thought that her husband would hit his own son Arun. We never thought that..” Ravi’s Mom started crying. Ravi’s Mom knew that her son Ravi was her only hope now. All her remaining family was lost. Tina & Arun were no more. Ravi’s Mom began to doubt Ravi’s survival too. It was so sad. Ravi’s Dad was not even ready to come here. Ravi’s Dad didn’t care for his children anymore . Ravi’s Dad was feeling sad & upset. In his eyes both kids were useless. In fact he always kept demanding from kids. Sometimes she felt that Ravi’s Dad might be true cause of their troubles. But she didn’t say anything. Ravi’s Mom just looked towards Aparna & said “ This is destiny if you decide to marry someone else I will give just blessings to you.” Aparna nodded. Aparna was too scared now. Aparna just went away. Ravi’s Mom went in hospital to meet Ravi’s Psychiatrist. Psychiatrist smiled nicely. Psychiatrist “ I studied your case. I don’t advise you to marry your son at this point.” Ravi’s Mom immediately nodded. In her heart she was doubtful regarding Ravi’s chances of marriage entirely. Ravi was acting like mad person. Ravi’s work was suffering. Ravi lost his second job last month. Ravi couldn’t work properly. Ravi’s Mom “ I just want my son to live normal life. His marriage is impossible dream for me now.” Psychiatrist nodded. Psychiatrist “ & risky too. He is very upset with himself & his love Aparna. I feel we are lucky that he didn’t harm Aparna. What about her? She didn’t come with you?” “ I told her to marry someone else.” “ Good. I advise same thing. If Aparna kept coming things might get complicated.” Ravi’s Mom nodded. Then Psychiatrist explained Ravi’s mental conditions & his trauma. It was so stressful for her. But Ravi’s Mom listened carefully. She felt relieved when Psychiatrist told her Ravi would be fine after sometime. Psychiatrist “ But he needed to take medication. He could go to job..” “ He had lost his job last month. I don’t feel he find any now after this..” Ravi’s Mom started crying. Psychiatrist didn’t stop her. Her world was totally shattered. Then slowly Psychiatrist said “ Don’t worry. He will become normal & find some job too.” Ravi’s Mom just stood up & went out. It was horrible for her but still she hoped one day all would be fine. Then suddenly her mobile rang. It was voice of Tina. Tina was talking to her. Ravi’s Mom shivered without second thought she returned to Psychiatrist & gave him mobile. Psychiatrist called Nurse & told her to check if Ravi had mobile. They waited. Soon Nurse returned with Mobile. Psychiatrist “ Sorry but your son must have managed to grab this mobile..” Ravi’s Mom took that mobile in that her hand. She watched it with shock. It was Tina’s mobile. It was intact. Tina kept her mobile in Ravi’s home & went away. Ravi’s Mom kept looking towards Psychiatrist. Psychiatrist told slowly “ We need to dig more. I fear your son Ravi might have pushed his sister under train. He wanted to get rid of her.” Ravi’s Mom was so shocked. She didn’t say anything just went away. Now she didn’t want to see Ravi again. Ravi was little bit eccentric but she never thought he could kill his sister. Ravi’s Mom sat in Taxi & started crying. She began to tell to driver without second thought. She just wanted to tell it all to everyone including Cops.
