Anaya’s boutique
That entire day was stuck with bad luck for Anaya. She was so scared. She was so concerned. She felt nervous. She was planning one boutique launch. It was not her first boutique but it was first boutique she created for her daughter. She had two daughters. Elder one Ritu & younger one Tina. After them she had one son Rishi. She always treated them as equal but for others she sensed that Rishi remained special while Tina always seemed like burden. Ritu was always dominating & admired. Since she was first child & she had skill to talk sweetly with people. But Anaya knew her true nature. Ritu was selfish & arrogant. But Tina was sweet & loving. Anaya wanted to create something special for Tina. Anaya knew that Tina needed a chance & world was not giving it to her. Anaya had her successful boutique. Anaya managed to make it success. One day she was discussing about Tina with her friend & boutique partner Trupti. Suddenly Trupti suggested that they should start one boutique for Tina. Trupti “ We already have one boutique. You made it successful with me. All client love it. I am sure Tina will have your charm too. So let’s try to launch one more boutique.” Anaya didn’t say anything at beginning. She was not so sure about it. When she began her boutique, her father was alive. Her father was her non- stop support. When her boutique had bad days, her father gave her courage but now her husband..her husband was exactly opposite. Her husband Sandip never showed support on any point. In fact she was sure when she mentioned boutique for Tina he would start advocating against it every where immediately. He just wanted everything for entire Rishi or Ritu. He was not interested in having any positive thought about Tina’s future. He didn’t want to give any chance to Tina. But Anaya wanted to give chance to Tina. Anaya wanted to start boutique. But she was scared. Anaya told Trupti to wait. Trupti “ What happened? Why you seem so confused?” “ Actually this is first project for Tina! So I want guarantee of success for it.” Trupti started laughing. “ Come on Tina. You know very well no one could give you guarantee of success.” Anaya smiled nervously. Anaya didn’t feel sure that she wanted to start. She didn’t want to take risks. But she knew needed to. She nodded. “ I will talk with Tina.” She was so nervous. She needed to do it. She felt sure that Tina would reject that idea. She was so confident. She came in Tina’s room. She told Tina to sit beside her. Tina sat on bed beside her. “ Honey Trupti Auntie was suggesting.. that we might try to launch one boutique for you.” Tina didn’t say anything at first but then she smiled. “ Mom I love this idea. I am so lucky. I want that boutique.” After this line Anaya’s life turned upside down. Anaya needed to argue with Sandip. When she suggested, Sandip said “ If you want to waste your money then go ahead. But then what money you have left in account of your own?” She felt so sad. She sensed that she lost all earn in fulfilling demands of her children. Sandip was ready to spend money on just Rishi. Ritu was favourite too but he never wasted much money on her. He considered it wastage of money. Kids wanted new dress or make up. Then sometimes girls wanted latest Smart phone. He was not ready to give anything. He just kept forcing her to spend her money. She wanted to fulfil demands so she did. He smiled in sadistic way. “ So I am not ready to give my money. You can try in your way.” Then Sandip began to demand bringing things. They had cook but she supposed to bring all & serve it to him. He said “ I pay for cook while you do nothing.” She supposed to arrange all room. She even supposed to fold his clothes. He didn’t do anything himself. She knew that she was in home. She supposed to do all. She tried to do it with smile but in her heart she was so hurt. She wanted him to treat her with same respect as other treated their wives. She knew that every wife was not earning money but still they get respect for their husband. Still they get love but in her house she got nothing. She kept working as per his instructions. She brought what he told & did what he said. Then he sat to relax before TV. But she supposed to admire his every thing. She practiced it for such a long time that she got so used to it. She was no longer concerned about it. She started to admire his new attitude. She started to feel so happy when she began to sense that he was getting pleased. Finally he became interested in her admiration. He said “ I know. I was little harsh but I am concerned about Tina too. She is not reaching anywhere.” She nodded. She knew that she needed to agree with his each statement if he wanted to get something from him. If he was talking against her, she deserved it. She felt so helpless. She didn’t want to feel so upset. But she was feeling so helpless. She started to get upset. When he began to criticise Tina, he kept feeling so stressed. She began to get restless. He started to say “ Honestly that girl didn’t got any skill to shine in life. But I know as parent I need to do something.” He kept quiet for sometime. Then he said “ I will arrange loan. I will not spend my money. I will arrange loan. She will become responsible this way. I want her to learn..” she nodded. She wanted money but she knew loan means repayment. Sandip was not doing any favours. But he was providing loan. She couldn’t get it without him. But then she suddenly sensed that she would manage it. She smiled & stopped him. “ Great idea! Thanks for suggestion. I will arrange it.” Suddenly Sandip looked angry. “ Really?!! You can arrange loan.” She nodded. “ Great then arrange it all. After all I am only one who is earning here. Other just need to sit & relax. It will be nice if someone else start job too.” She felt so sad. She was so tense. She needed to make it successful too. She didn’t want to get in argument but Sandip was already in mood of argument. She decided to avoid so she immediately said “ I try to arrange it from now. I know I need to do something too. You taking so much responsibility.” He didn’t say anything just returned his attention to TV. She immediately vanished in hall. She decided to give him full privacy in their bedroom.
From that day Anaya worked so hard with Trupti. She kept meeting different people & convincing them regarding loan. She needed to find proper sort of loan. She needed to find person who would trust her. She knew that in market. She didn’t have much reputation. Her identity was so someone who left her business in half to become wife of rich man. She was successful according to Trupti but for others she was complete failure. A person who left business in half way. They all kept saying what if Tina did same thing! They said daughter were normally influenced by mother. Anaya felt as if she was responsible for her daughter’s damaged future. When kids were small they didn’t have anyone to babysit. Sandip suggested to concentrate on house or she decided. She was not sure. But at that point everything looked so promising. It seemed as if they were doing right thing. But now as she looked towards past she felt that Sandip did it since he wanted to stop her independence. But sometimes she felt that she might be too lazy. She sensed one thing. She did mistake by quitting boutique. Finally after long wait they got loan. But they didn’t give loan to Tina. They gave loan to her. She planned launch of boutique. She was working for boutique with same spirit which she had before. But now her life was not as it was once. Her parents were so nice when she started all but Sandip kept taunting her. She worked so hard to get it right. She couldn’t find way to keep her mind peaceful. She sensed that as her days went ahead she began to get upset. She needed to do it perfect. On that day when she was launched boutique she was trying hard from morning. She kept arranging everything. She managed to keep things in proper way. She wanted all perfect when she suddenly heard loud sound. She ran in their bedroom. She saw Sandip managed to break photo frame with her Dad’s picture. She wanted to cry. She loved her Dad so much. He was her inspiration. But today it all was broken. She knew that it was just photo frame. Her Dad was still there somewhere in stars looking towards her. She knew that her Dad would always stand with her. But that broken glass of photo frame was so upsetting. It seemed like broken sign of her dreams. She began to think that all her dreams were broken. Sandip gave her frustrating look & said “ Call maid to clean that glass. Any way it was too old.” Then he went away without much concern. He knew that she cared for it. But he didn’t care. She tried to control her tears. Then she kept paying attention on her work of cleaning glass. After it she managed to get it all wrong. Everything was giving bad omen. She was going one mistake after another. Tina was watching it all but she said noting. Finally Ritu said “ I feel it will be hard to make Tina successful.” Rishi began to laugh. She noticed tears in eyes of Tina. Anaya screamed loudly “ Stop this otherwise you will suffer too.” Rishi came near her & dared her “ Do whatever you can!” She felt so scared. After it she was in launch of boutique. She sensed one thing. Every thing was wrong. She didn’t remember what she did for entire day. She knew that she had done something. But it all vanished from her memories. She looked around in boutique. She saw many guests. She knew that they were her future customers. She went towards them. But then she stopped. She watched her reflection in mirror. She looked okay except one black mark near lips. She began to apply make up on it to hide it. Then she went to customers. She started talking. She began to tell about boutique. Soon Tina joined her. Tina was nervous. But when she began to discuss, Tina joined her too. Tina was explaining all. But she could sense nervousness in her gesture. Finally they managed it perfectly. They got such a grand sale in day that she sensed one thing. This business was going to be success. She was so happy. She immediately transferred money to bank account. She began to feel so happy. She turned towards Tina. Tina “ Mom why did you argue with him for me? I don’t need it.” She began to remember all. How did Rishi took hold of her hair & slapped her. She just remembered but she began to feel that she didn’t feel pains anymore. She smiled. “ I feel I can’t get hurt anymore. I am perfect.” Tina looked shocked. Then they returned home. Anaya did all in a way as she normally did. She went in kitchen. She arranged all. She set dinner. She began to put plate. On that point Rishi came out screaming. Rishi “ Who damaged my room?” Anaya didn’t say anything. Finally he came towards her. Rishi “ Mom did you do that?” She smiled & asked “ What?” “ Did you practically broken all things from my room?” She looked confused. She didn’t remember doing it. “ I don’t think so.” “ You did it.” Rishi was so angry. He was about to hit her when she sensed that her body was no longer in her control. She was so shocked. Her hands went towards knife. She was holding knife on Rishi’s throat. Sandip came out running. Sandip “ What are you doing?” Her voice was so strange to her actions. Her voice was still normal. She said sweetly & calmly. “ I don’t understand.” “ You are killing our son.” She looked towards her hand. She was holding knife on Rishi’s throat. She could see blood was coming out. She tried to take control of her hand. At beginning it didn’t work. But finally it worked. Rishi literally ran out of kitchen. Sandip screamed “You have started to losing mind.” He began to abuse her. But Tina screamed “ You did it to her. You kept torturing her.” Sandip slapped Tina & once again Anaya took hold of knife. This time without thought it cut Sandip on hand. Sandip was screaming & running around but she was running after him. Tina was so scared. Rishi called Cops. Soon Cops came. They arrested Anaya. They all gave statements against her. Tina tried to tell truth. But they didn’t let her tell. Finally Anaya went away. As soon as Anaya went away Rishi ordered Tina to cook. Tina nodded. Tina started cooking. Tina didn’t argue. Tina was crying slowly. Then Tina slowly called from her mobile to Trupti.
Anaya was in lockup. But she didn’t sense any feelings. She just kept looking towards walls. When Trupti came with lawyer, Cops released her. Trupti immediately took her to psychiatrist. Anaya told every thing to Psychiatrist. Psychiatrist “ These things happen with domestic violence victims. I can give statement in Court to keep her from going in jail.” “ But what about Tina?” Trupti “ Tomorrow I will go & take her. She is major so she can come with me.” Anaya nodded. Trupti decided all. When Trupti went in Anaya’s house, Sandip immediately screamed “ We don’t want to do anything with that woman! Go away.” Trupti smiled & said “ Do you remember she took loan?” Rishi looked nervous now. “ Dad let you discuss.” Trupti came inside. Trupti “ This is divorce papers. You can get rid of it. But I want you to give Tina.” “ Tina? But she is working for us.” Trupti sensed that Tina was used as maid. She wanted to abuse but she controlled her anger & smiled. “ I need to repay loan. So I need Tina with me. Otherwise I will manage to shift responsibilities to you.” Sandip “ You found guarantor! You are responsible.” “ But you took her ornaments & her parents property too! Then I can show list of your affairs..” Rishi “ Fine.. fine take her.” Trupti noticed marks on bodies of Sandip & Rishi. She didn’t want to feel happy but she was feeling happy. They destroyed life of Anaya. It was horrible for her. She took hold of her breath when she saw Tina. Tina was looking so sick. In one day her entire face was drawn. Suddenly Ritu appeared. Ritu “ Where is she going?” “ She is going to work for Trupti Auntie & return Mom’s loan.” Then Sandip added. “ I will take back case but I will not pay alimony to that mad woman.” Trupti nodded. “ Tina took away your every item & your Mom’s too. I don’t want them in house.” Tina nodded. Trupti sensed that she might needed to order a truck too. Sandip also told to take away old bed & cupboard. He was really irritating & inhuman person. Finally they went out. Trupti felt relaxed when she reached home. Her husband was waiting there with her son. She introduced them to Tina. Tina was not normal at all. Tina was not speaking a word. Finally they took her to psychiatrist too. After sometime Tina became normal. Anaya came back too. They started working in boutique. When Anaya started to discuss shifting, slowly Trupti’s son showed desire to marry Tina. Trupti was so shocked. She never sensed it. But she was happy too. Then their marriage was fixed. Anaya didn’t needed to shift at all. Anaya was living happily in house of her son-in-law. Sometimes people taunt about it but she didn’t mind. She wanted happy life & she got it. She was earning nicely & living with her family. This was her true family. She wanted to be with them. For long time Sandip kept dragging divorce since he wanted some money out of Anaya now. But Anaya kept everything on Tina & her husband’s name. Sandip kept irritating. Rishi even tried to threaten. But when Anaya reminded him of last time. He didn’t dare to come. Ritu managed to ran away with one rich boy. Anaya never saw her & honestly she didn’t care. She wanted peaceful life & she finally got it. She watched every sunset from gallery of Trupti’s house but still she felt that it was her house. She kept watching it with smile. Her medicines were reduced but sometimes she still needed them. She knew that Sandip would never divorce her. So she needed to take them until his or her death. But still she was happy with life since she was away from him.
