Namita's Dad
Namita began to call her best friend Trupti. She always liked to discuss different thing with Trupti. She began to list different things she wanted to do. She started to calculate them all. Namita wanted to tell all to Trupti. She always did it. She needed to think everything. She was so happy while telling her all. Namita was living in large company quarter. She felt that it was big & comfortable. She liked it but it was one thing to stay in own house & stay in company quarters. She needed to buy her house. She was living with her in-laws who kept discouraging her husband Tushar from buying his own house. They always kept saying “ We have our ancestors house. It is big & large. We can go there.” Namita wanted to buy one modern flat. Especially since she was pregnant now, she wanted something more convenient. She knew that Tushar was going to change job so clearly there was going to be change. She needed to shift to new house. Now she needed to discuss this with Trupti. She began to call. Trupti didn’t took her call at beginning. She was so stressed but after three calls Trupti took it. Trupti “ I was little bit busy.” She laughed. She knew that Trupti was working in company she was always busy but never for her. She laughed little bit & said “ So sorry. Actually I wanted to..” suddenly she heard one voice calling Trupti. Trupti tried to reply then Trupti declared “ I am little bit busy. I needed to go out. Is it okay if I call you after sometime?!” “ No problem.” Namita said but she didn’t actually felt it. Namita wanted Trupti to talk with her but she couldn’t force her. Namita wanted to say okay but before she could say anything her call was disconnected. She began to feel so lonely. Her parents were not alive anymore. When she got married, her Dad was alive while her Mom was dead since long time. She felt so alone when her Dad died in one accident. It was truly unfortunate. She was not even in country. She was in abroad with Tushar. She wanted to come home but Tushar couldn’t come back. Her Auntie & her cousin convinced her that they would manage. She couldn’t able to see her Dad last time. In fact they needed to perform all rituals soon since after accident body was not in condition to keep. She still remembered what her Auntie said Sweetheart I have seen that body so I tell you don’t come & see it. I don’t want you to remember your Dad this way. Just remember him in pleasant way.” She shivered. Actually she could have argued or insisted on going back with Tushar but she felt too scared. She agreed. They performed all rituals. She came back on funeral. But it was also arranged by Auntie. When she came all were looking towards her & Tushar with accusing eyes. A daughter was supposed to come for father. Soon she sensed that her in-laws also didn’t come. She felt so sad. She began to look towards Tushar angrily. He just kept looking towards mobile & kept calling his parents. Then his Mom told him that his father fall in kitchen so they needed to do plaster. So Tushar needed to go back soon. She was so nervous. Many relatives asked about her husband. Now they all looked towards her with sad expression. It was clear that her husband didn’t care for her before world. She was so nervous. Many told her to take care of herself. But after this her Auntie didn’t keep much contact with her. It was clear that entire concern was just about her Dad. She was not wanted that much. She was important to no one. She felt so alone. She was doing her work in house. Her in-laws didn’t exactly harass her but they kept to themselves. They were always busy in their clubs or their work. They enjoyed their work. Sometimes her father-in-law brought his few friends home. He always took her permission. His friends were okay. They didn’t say much. But she could sense that they kept observing her. She felt that sometime they even taunted her. But her father-in-law was always silent. He never took her side. She felt so upset. But she didn’t comment. Now she was pregnant. She desired someone to come to her & she wanted that person to care for her. She knew that all pretended for that child but no one truly cared. She wanted someone to show affection. She began to feel so stressed. She wanted to talk with Trupti. She didn’t want to shift without her suggestion. She started to feel so upset. She needed someone who would help her. She wanted a companion. Tushar was not interested in giving her company. It was so upsetting. She stood up to go in garden when she sensed Trupti was not going to talk with her. Namita began to go out & walk in garden. She began to observe flowers. She kept seeing wonderful colours of garden. She needed to relax. She kept going in garden. She began to enjoy that weather. On that point she started to walk in garden. She began to see many hopes. She was walking in garden when she suddenly sensed someone was behind. She kept feeling shadow from behind. She began to understand those shapes which began to form behind her. Since her Mom’s death she kept seeing multiple shapes. She kept sensing impact on her life. She knew that ghost didn’t exist or she kept telling it before people. She smiled. Now it was time to call her true friend Kaveri. She knew many things which Trupti didn’t. But Namita avoided her since her Dad’s death. It was so wrong to disturb her Dad. She knew that now whenever she went to call some spirit then it would be her Dad. She knew that Dad wanted revenge on Tushar & his family. He didn’t let her meet her Dad for last time. Tushar managed to take her away from her Dad & then he just threw her in this house with his parents & with one unborn baby. She hated them all. She could sense something behind. It was her Dad. She knew that her Dad was coming for revenge. She smiled at beginning but then she felt scared. She was wife & daughter-in-law. She didn’t wish harm to anyone. She wanted happiness for all. She was so scared. She knew that Kaveri would help her. She began to call Kaveri. She started to wait for her. Kaveri immediately took call. When she heard Kaveri’s voice her life changed. She knew that she needed to visit her.
Tushar kept calling Namita. But she didn’t took call for long time. He was so stressed. He had no option but to call his mother. His Mom took call after six time ringing. His Mom “ Hello what happened?” “ Why Namita is not taking call?” His Mom sounded confused. His Mom “ I don’t know. She is in her room.” “ Will you please go & check?” His Mpm agreed immediately. His Mom went in Namita’s room. She heard Namita was chatting. She didn’t able to see anyone. She was so shocked. She came inside & asked “ Why you are not taking call?..” on that point she sensed a woman was sitting there. She was small in size & beautiful. She reminded of beautiful doll with which she used to play as child. She was about to talk with that woman when she sensed that it was not human but truly a doll. It was just too big. It was too much like human. Namita’s mother-in-law knew that too much money wasted on it. Then suddenly a voice came from behind. “ Do you like her?” It was woman looked so much like doll. Her mother-in-law smiled. She took that doll in hand. Her mother-in-law really loved it as present. But then she felt that it must for her grandchild. Her mother-in-law immediately told Namita “ Kept it packed until baby doesn’t born & grow up.” But Kaveri objected “ No..no this doll is for Mom not daughter!” “ What?” Namita smiled & said “ Actually it’s created to make me positive. Suggest that after watching this doll I will feel happy & started thinking hopefully about baby.” Her mother-in-law smiled. Then suddenly Namita’s mobile rang. “ Take it Tushar is calling you.” Namita took call. She was so happy. She began to tell about Kaveri. Tushar was relieved too. Finally Namita found one friend. Trupti was never had time but this Kaveri might manage to spend some with his wife. He knew that his wife blamed him for not able to see her father’s body. He wanted to come but he couldn’t get flight. After all her Dad was already dead so he didn’t feel so much need but now he began to doubt his decision. His wife was clearly upset by all. It was so stressful. He decided to let her enjoy company of her friend. Then he suddenly asked “ Where does Kaveri stay?” She didn’t say anything for sometime. Then she said “ Actually Kaveri is searching for job here. I invited her..” “ No problem. You know we are shifting in our old house soon. It is big. Kaveri can get big room too. I hope she doesn’t mind old houses!” “ No..no she love them. Can we go there?” Tushar felt confused. After pregnancy he was so scared to let Namita travel. But he knew that shifting was essential. He needed to shift & gave that flat back. He said “ I need to talk..” “ I know Mom. Of course she know better.” He was so happy that Namita was willing. His Mom jumped with joy on this suggestion. His Mom took mobile & said “ Call that company which drop things. I will go with Kaveri & your Dad. Let at least shift some goods.” Kaveri was so happy. Kaveri “ I will start Namita’s packing.” Her mother-in-law nodded happily & went in her room. Namita was so happy. She didn’t want to stay in this house any more. She wanted to shift in ancestor’s house. She wanted Kaveri to stay with her. Namita “ Now you can stay with us.” Kaveri gave sweet smile & said “ I will.” Then Kaveri gave one thread. Kaveri “ Wear it around neck. Then it will remain perfect.” Kaveri didn’t tell what would remain perfect. But Namita knew. That thread would protect her family from her father’s angry spirit. She knew that his spirit was not pleasant one like her Mom’s spirit. Kaveri started packing all. Kaveri was so kind & nice. Then her mobile rang. It was call from Trupti. It seemed finally Trupti got some time. Trupti “ How are your?” She just said “ Fine” in discouraging way. Trupti suddenly heard shifting things. “ What are you doing? You must not take stress in this condition..” “ I know I know. I called you to tell I am shifting & I called Kaveri for help.” “ Kaveri?!” There was clear fear in Trupti’s voice. Trupti said in nervous voice. “ I mean Kaveri didn’t even come on your marriage?” “ She was busy on that time! Just the way you were busy today!” Trupti didn’t say anything. Clearly she didn’t like presence of Kaveri. Then Trupti slowly said “ Do you remember how did Kaveri use to talk about all those things spirits & black magic..” Namita started laughing. “ I know. I use to enjoy it & use to talk like that too. Those old days.” Kaveri took call & said “ Let’s call some spirit.” Trupti “ What?!” Kaveri started laughing. “ Come on! We are grown up now. We don’t believe in that stuff.” When Namita heard Kaveri talking like that she felt nervous. Kaveri brought doll. Kaveri talked about shifting but Kaveri never talked about ghosts. She didn’t discuss. She began to feel that Kaveri might not believe her too. But then she told herself that it was totally fake. She didn’t needed to clarify to herself. She was feeling so confused. She didn’t understand what she believed. Ghost or not! She suddenly sensed as if something was touching. She touched thread but it didn’t change much. She began to feel as if someone was going to push her down, she didn’t want to fall on stomach. She was so scared. She began to sweat. She started to clear her sweat. She needed to stand. But then she didn’t want to fall. If she kept sitting then no one could push her. She didn’t move from Sofa. She just sat. Kaveri was packing things. She managed to arrange all. Namita was so nervous. Namita needed to help but she didn’t move. Namita kept watching Kaveri work while sensing someone was standing behind her. She began to get restless. Namita felt so nervous. She kept telling herself that whenever she shifted from here all would be fine. Every one was packing for her. She kept smiling. She knew that she could say she was sick & she could avoid today’s visit too. She began to feel so nervous. She knew that she needed to come out of home. She kept thinking positively about entire thing. She needed to feel hopefully. She told herself that she needed to go out to visit to that house. She needed to shift in ancestor’s house.
Namita slowly stood up when Kaveri started calling her out. They arranged all. Truck was already packed. Her father-in-law was driving them in different car. Her father-in-law was driving carefully. Namita needed to go. She stood up. She was so tense. She started walking but suddenly she felt a push. It was clearly from behind. She screamed loudly. Luckily Kaveri was near. Kaveri didn’t let her fall. Kaveri looked around. Kaveri “ How did you fall?” “ Someone push me from behind?..” she looked behind. No one was there. She didn’t understand. Kaveri “ Namita you must take it easy! You are five months pregnant! You must not let yourself get harm in any way.” She nodded. She didn’t understand what was happening to her. She knew that if something paranormal was there. She needed to discuss. She didn’t say anything. But when she sat in car. She took deep breath. She began to breath in odd way. Her mother-in-law started looking behind. Her mother-in-law was sitting beside her father-in-law in front seat but her voice was so strong that she sensed it. Her mother-in-law looked towards her. “ What’s wrong?” Her father-in-law “ I feel we need to take her to hospital first.” She said nervously “ I..I am fine.” But her words came out so odd. Kaveri “ I tell you one thing. Just drop me & Namita to hospital. I will take her to Doctor & you can go ahead with this items. You might put this at least inside house.” Her father-in-law “ We can arrange it with servants. We know many people there.” Her mother-in-law “ But we can’t leave her alone.” She patted on her mother-in-law’s hand. “ I am fine. I want that house to be arranged for me & baby.” Her mother-in-law nodded. But her mother-in-law said “ First I will call gynaecologist & confirm you get that emergency appointment.” She wanted to tell she was fine. But she was already too breathless to say anything. When her mother-in-law told Gynaecologist she immediately arranged appointment. Then her in-laws dropped her & Kaveri in clinic. They went inside. They needed to wait for some time but soon Doctor took them inside. She was still breathless. Doctor said “ This is Anxiety attack! Sometimes it happens during pregnancy .” She nodded. She wanted to feel normal but she kept feeling upset. She kept watching around. Finally Doctor asked “ Just relax & tell me what is happening. Do you feel some one is following you?” “ Yes..yes!” She said it in such a hurry. She didn’t want to discuss further but she knew that she needed to. She said slowly “ No.” Kaveri “ Do you feel someone is harassing you? You must tell it. You are not alone any more. You must think about baby too!!” She began to get tense. She finally told but in slow voice. She just looked towards Kaveri. “ I felt it was ghost. Do you remember the one which pushed me down?” They all looked shocked. Kaveri said slowly “ It was all fake..just imagination!” Namita got so angry. Namita screamed “ Now you don’t believe me too.” Doctor said “ Relax just relax! This will cause harm to baby.” Namita controlled herself. Then Gynaecologist suggested “ You need to relax for it. You need Psychiatrist.” “ I am not mad.” “ No you are scared.” Then Gynaecologist sat relaxedly in chair then she slowly spoke “If you believed in paranormal & you are not stressed I don’t mind. It’s common but you are stressed. It is important. You need to remain calm.” Namita nodded. She understood issue. Kaveri suddenly suggested name of Psychiatrist. Kaveri “ I went to him. He is great. She doesn’t even need to tell her family.” Namita was so happy. Namita didn’t want anyone to know. Gynaecologist nodded. Then Kaveri called Psychiatrist. Gynaecologist began to talk with him. Gynaecologist told entire issue. Then Psychiatrist suggested sessions on Laptop. Kaveri had one with her. They didn’t want Namita to travel & medicines were not advisable. Then Namita came back. She was still tense. She stopped Kaveri. “ Do you stop seeing them?” Kaveri smiled & said “ Yes. It’s not that hard. They all have logical reasons. We just need to find them & understand.” Kaveri felt so upset. Kaveri knew that Namita wouldn’t believe. Kaveri sat near on her bed. Kaveri “ We need to tell Tushar.” Namita was so tense. Then suddenly her in-laws came running inside. Her mother-in-law sat beside her “ Did you went to Psychiatrist?” Her father-in-law “ It’s common during pregnancy to have much stress. Now we at least go to Psychiatrist.” Namita relaxed when her family took it lightly. Kaveri told “ We went to my Psychiatrist.” Her mother-in-law smiled. “ Great what was your problem?” Kaveri said nervously “ I use to try to contact spirits.” Tushar’s both parents laughed. Namita said nervously “ I felt same way.” Their smile just increased. But then she told them how did she felt pushed. They looked scared. Her father-in-law looked towards wife & said “ Now you need to give personal attention to Namita.” Kaveri said “ Don’t worry. I am here to help too.” They both nodded. When Tushar came home, they all tried to make it light for him. But he understood all. He just took number of Psychiatrist. Tushar called Psychiatrist. He slowly told about Namita’s father’s accident & other things. Then he slowly told about Kaveri & ghost huntings too & asked “ Do you feel I need to object Kaveri?” Psychiatrist laughed. “ Don’t worry! Kaveri was my patient. She suggested Namita to come for treatment. I cured her.” Tushar laughed with relief. “ So she didn’t see ghost any more!” “ No. Not at all.” Tushar smiled. After it when he went inside he was totally positive about it. Namita felt so relaxed. She kept feeling someone was watching her but now Tushar was with her. Then finally Tushar suggested to talk on Laptop. He fixed timing when he was there too. Namita agreed. Then on Laptop they started discussions. Tushar went out to give them privacy. After some time slowly Psychiatrist started to tell Namita what she supposed to do. Then Psychiatrist told her that she was guilty so she pushed herself on ground. At beginning she denied it. She wanted to stop conversations.
Namita didn’t started it for two days. But then her stress increased. Finally Namita started to feel need of discussion once again. She told Kaveri. She cried & slowly she began to accept that she was punishing herself & her child for her mistake of not coming to her Dad’s death rituals. Her Dad never wanted this. Her Mom was positive imagination & it was to give her support so it didn’t prove harmful but her Dad was due to her guilt. She started her counselling again. Slowly she accepted that it was just her guilt not Dad’s spirit. Then she gave big donation to one orphanage in her Dad’s name. Her Dad always wanted it. After that she finally started to stop imagining him. Then they shifted to new house. She no longer sensed ghosts. Trupti also started coming to meet her. Every thing was fine. They had financial issues or other normal issues but she never saw any ghost. Then finally one day she stopped her treatment. She began to wait for her baby in positive mood with hope.
