Free to decide
Priti was so happy about this new arrangement. She wanted new flat but she didn't want to spend too much on interior. She was so tense. She decided to keep cheap material. But then she started to think that it might look too cheap. She was so tense and confused. She wanted good look but she didn't want to spend too much money it was frustrating. She didn't understand how could she manage. Her mother-in-law was coming. Her mother-in-law was bossy woman so no one wanted her to advise but she needed her. It was so shocking for her Mom when she told her that she was taking advice from her mother-in-law. Her Mom screamed " Are you out of your mind? I don't understand when you are getting freedom why you want to some one to boss on you?" "Mom she is nice and helpful." " Really! Do you feel I believe that? Did she force this?" " No Mom she did nothing like that! She was not interested even in interfering. I invited her to do it." " Then you are out of mind. No one will invite that lady for advice! It is like suicide!" " Mom stop exaggerating!" Her Mom never understood her. In fact her Mom was lot more bossy. " Mom I needed help and let me handle my way!" Her Mom didn't agree but still she nodded. In fact she couldn't see her Mom but she could easily picture her nodding. It was so frustrating. Her Mom always kept pushing. She didn't understand feeling which she felt when her Mom defeated. Sometimes she felt that she feel sad but then she sensed strange anger in her soul. She began to feel so pleased. She didn't understand what exactly she wanted. She liked her Mom. After all her Mom took good care of her. She knew that her Mom always did best for her. But still that best didn't seem enough. Many times she felt that it was so meaningless. Her Mom never gave her chance to decide her future when her friends were going alone in market for shopping her Mom was buying her dress with her own choice. She kept telling Mom that she was grown up and she needed to choose but her Mom never gave her that opportunity. She was always stuck by her choice. Now she was too scared to make her own decision. She was so frustrated. Her Mom never gave her chance and now she was pretending as if she was so enjoying full freedom before marriage. She never decided anything in her life. She was always guided. She tried once to get things as per her choice but she never got them. She felt so sad and upset. She didn't need to decide today too. She knew her mother-in-law would do it for her. She decided that soon her mother-in-law would take over situation. She was hoping to get something good out of it. But she was so tense. She decided to go to railway station to receive her mother-in-law. She was hoping that it would be pleasant for her mother-in-law. She was so confused and upset. She didn't understand what would be best for her. Her mother-in-law was very important to her. She needed to please her. She kept waiting for her call. She began to feel so upset. She was so tense that she might hurt her mother-in-law. She began to feel that her mother-in-law was precious to her. She knew that she didn't want to hurt her feelings. She wanted her to remain happy with her. She called her mother-in-law. " Mom do you want me to come to railway station?" She tried to use her sweetest voice but her mother-in-law didn't sound impressed. She said in bitter tone " I am fine. Just wanted you to keep some snacks ready at home! I hope you plan it." She had planned it but she was not sure about it's taste. She was so scared. She wanted to make her mother-in-law happy. She knew tastes of her mother-in-law. It was not first time that she was inviting her mother-in-law but everytime she felt this fear. She didn't want to feel it. She knew that her mother-in-law kept critising but that didn't truly create any impact it was just her habit to keep criticising. Her mother-in-law Vimal never had any evil thought in her mind. Vimal wanted them to just do all perfectly. But truthfully it never happened. Vimal knew this her heart so she never took it personally too. Vimal just kept screaming to attract attention to imperfections of work. She liked her mother-in-law since in this process she took all responsibility. Priti wanted someone to help her. She kept telling Ravi to help her. But he never agreed. He just kept saying. " You can do it by yourself!" She didn't like this idea at all. She couldn't do that she knew that she needed and Ravi was not going to give it. Ravi was very supportive normally. But this time he took in his head that she needed to learn to do it all by herself. She nodded at beginning when he said it. His some friend suggested this. His friend said that he needed to give full freedom to his wife. Ravi was totally convinced that she needed chance to move ahead in life. She hated that thought but she didn't say it. She didn't wanted to upset him. But she thought that he would give her small job like selecting her dress on some wedding. She never selected her dress. Ravi always did it for her. Ravi thought that it was his affectionate gesture but now his friend changed entire concept. Suddenly Ravi began to feel that he was doing crime by helping her. That day Ravi made it clear to her. " Honey I feel that I am treating you in worst way by not letting you decide anything. Now you will decide all and I will obey.." she laughed and nodded. She felt that it was just a joke. He didn't meant it as joke. From next day he stopped telling. She was so frustrated when he told her to decide breakfast by herself. She shivered with fear. She didn't want to decide. She kept insisting. Then she called Vimal. Vimal advised her. Then she did as Vimal suggested and all became perfect. But Vimal told her that she must not disclose it to Ravi otherwise he would be angry so they started discussing all behind his back. In Ravi's eyes she was independent. She could decide all. Ravi didn't interfere in household purchases any more. Priti did them according to him but Vimal was doing it. But Priti never thought that it would become such worst situation. But one day it became worst.
Priti still remembered it like yesterday. Ravi came and told her to give something drink. She gave him juice of raw mangoes just as Vimal suggested. He loved it. He said " After this heat I needed juice not tea or coffee. You are so smart." She smiled happily. It was working perfectly. Vimal told her all. She followed her instructions step by step. She was so happy that Ravi never sensed that something was missing. She began to sense that she was winning entire thing. She started to feel so happy. Then one day Ravi started to plan for new house. She was so happy about this idea in beginning. She thought that this would be their dream house. She wanted everything to be perfect. But she never thought that Ravi would keep entire decoration of that house in her hand. She was so upset. She didn't want such big responsibility. She wanted some way out of it. She needed to find it. She started to tell Ravi that she didn't know much about interior of house. But he pushed breakfast in his mouth and said " You will run." And then he managed to run away while keeping her in sorrows. She didn't know anything about interior and she never did anything by herself. She always had help. She was so nervous. She needed to convince her mother-in-law again. She was not sure that Vimal would help her. Vimal was willing sometimes to help and Vimal was too frustrated sometimes too help. She was so nervous today. She was asking for big help. She was asking for an important help. It was so upsetting. She didn't want to do any mistake in interior. It was something which was going to stay with her permanently. She was so upset. She couldn't do it alone. She began to think about other options. She was feeling so sick. She started to feel that she was going to have fever. She began to sense that she needed to take rest. She was shivering so much. She didn't understand what did she supposed to do. She suddenly remembered her neighbour. She had nice young couple in neighborhood. She knew that lady was helpful. She decided to go there. She immediately ran out of house. She rang door bell. That lady was so shocked to see her pale face. She told Priti to sit down. Priti sat on chair and started taking breath deeply. She needed to relax. That woman ran in kitchen and came out with water. She drank it slowly. Her neighbour was clearly tense. Her neighbour immediately started to suggest Doctor. Priti couldn't decide anything but she knew that this lady knew whatever best for her. She couldn't decide but this lady could. Then Doctor was called. She was checked. Doctor gave her one injection and she went to sleep. But before going to sleep her neighbour told her that she must call her mother-in-law. She immediately agreed. She needed help. She gave number. So her mother-in-law entered in picture. But sadly it was not easy this time. Her neighbour was informed that her mother-in-law was sick with fever. Neighbour felt so scared. She immediately called Ravi. Ravi came running. Doctor declared that her blood pressure was high due to stress. Ravi was so shocked. Ravi immediately decided that they would shift interior for sometime. She was so happy. She didn't understand why she wanted to avoid this interior but she just wanted to avoid it. She didn't want to do interior of their house. She knew that it was big house and it was perfect. She loved it when they planned to purchase but now she was scared. Her neighbour Trupti sat beside her for long time. Ravi went out with her husband. They decided to give them time to talk with each other. When they sat outside, Trupti's husband started talking with Ravi with drinking coffee. " So what is issue?" Ravi looked confused. Ravi " Which issue?" "Well! She is looking so tense! Clearly sign of some big issue! Right?" Ravi was so upset. He sensed that everything was looking totally wrong. " No..no it is not marriage issue! Actually we are decorating house and she is tense about it." Neighbour started laughing. "What happened?" " I never thought that it will lead to such tension but it is possible. Did architect ran away?!" " I don't know she is managing all." " My God! Then she will surely exhausted." Ravi began to feel guilty. Ravi " I should have paid attention." " No..no you don't need to pay attention. She could do it. Just try to built up confidence in her. Let her relax. Tell her take her own time." Ravi nodded. " She needed to do it but she must relax too." Ravi kept nodding. After sometime he went inside. He told Priti to relax. Priti didn't say anything. She kept agreeing. Then she decided to take her own time. She didn't plan to do it soon. But after sometime Company started to tell them to give back flat. After all it was Company flat. Ravi took loan and purchased his own house. They knew it and expecting them to shift in it. They wouldn't provide two accommodation for one employee. She knew this but still she kept hoping. She was so upset. She wanted to stay there. But then finally she decided to do it. So she invited her mother-in-law. She was hoping that her mother-in-law would help her to find way to decorate house. She went in kitchen. She confirmed that every snack was presented properly. She also tasted it once again. She checked tablecloth. She settled all in perfect way. She began to look down. She was so tense. She didn't understand why did she felt like that. But she was feeling as if she was getting visited by her mother-in-law for first time. She knew that her mother-in-law visited her for countless time but she was so scared. She didn't understand cause. She knew that she needed her but still she was scared of her. She didn't understand why did she needed to feel like that but she was upset. She kept looking down out of window again and again. Finally Taxi came her mother-in-law got down. Security guard immediately took bag from her. She smiled happily. Every thing was perfect. She needed to relax but still she was so tense. She didn't understand cause. She looked in mirror and confirmed that she was looking fine. Then she ran to open door.
Vimal came near door with bags and Priti opened door. Vimal looked at her face. She was as pale as some paper of notebook. Many times Vimal felt that if she had blue lines on her face anyone could use it as notebook to right. Vimal knew that this was most ridiculous thought but she felt many times same way. Vimal didn't understand why Priti always appeared so pale. Vimal didn't want to question her look but she looked as if she was getting abused every day. Vimal knew Ravi. Her son was man of peaceful mind. She did speak this way about her younger son. He was hyper one. But it was so strange that his wife never appeared nervous. She knew that they had daily arguments. Vimal was so scared that it might lead distrubance in married life. But she was sure that Ravi was perfect husband but still nothing was working fine for him. He was getting upset day by day. Ravi was telling that people were asking about trouble in his married life. Priti was looking so sick. Vimal didn't like to interfere but in this case she had no option. She needed to interfere. She was so upset. Priti was looking so pale when she opened door. Vimal sensed that she was looking worst today. Priti was managing to destroy reputation of entire house. She needed to convince Priti to look healthy. It was hard task. She couldn't convince someone to look healthy if that person was not healthy. Vimal immediately asked " What's wrong with you? You are not eating well?!" Priti shivered with fear. Priti knew that she didn't do all perfect. She pointed towards snack. " I have arranged all." Vimal nodded. Vimal " Let's eat together." Priti was so scared. She didn't want to eat. Priti was so scared. But she didn't say no to Vimal so she sat down with her. Priti began to eat. She tried her best to eat. But she couldn't. She began to feel that she might vomit if she started to eat, she turned towards Vimal. Then she began to describe how did she cook everything. She began to admire each item. She started to love it's smell. It was so wonderful to her. She needed to convince Vimal to eat. Vimal nodded and started eating. Every item was so tasty. Vimal kept admiring and eating. She totally forgot to look in Priti's plate. Priti was so happy. It always worked but today after sometime Vimal noticed. Vimal started to serve Priti " Come on eat something!" Priti was so shocked. She thought that Vimal would never notice. She was so upset. She started to eat. Suddenly she began to sense strange way in stomach. She ran to vomit in washroom. Vimal didn't feel sad. She felt hope that she might become grandmother. She ran after her but soon she sensed that it was not possible. Priti " I don't understand why but I kept getting sick like this." Vimal started to get tense. Vimal didn't like it. Vimal began to feel so scared. This might be some serious sickness. Vimal " I feel you need to do check up. You are not pregnant and you are getting sick. We need to do something about both things." Priti shivered. Priti felt so scared when they discussed pregnancy. She wanted to become mother but she was scared of it. She didn't understand how much she would manage to handle. She needed to take responsibility. She took deep breath. Priti " I never did any check up regarding it.." she didn't say anything further. Her mother-in-law felt so nervous. She supposed to pay attention. Vimal was always busy in pointing she couldn't break her habit so she said " But you need to tell me." " Sorry!" " Let's took appointment. Did you discuss with Ravi?" Priti never discussed and Ravi never asked. " He never mentioned!" " What? He never mentioned and you never bring up this subject! Don't you want to become parents!" Priti was so confused. She couldn't decide. Her mother-in-law screamed angrily. " Tell me truthfully. Do you taking any precautions to avoid pregnancy?" " No..no I don't. I am just so nervous. I am not getting pregnant. I don't want Ravi to sense it." " My God! You feel Ravi didn't sense it. Do you think my son is mad? He sense it but he didn't mention to avoid hurting your feelings. He is too sensitive." Priti looked away. She didn't understand how could she handle this. She tried her best to control emotions. She didn't want to express her sorrows. She felt so sad. She needed to accept it. She was proving failure. She couldn't give baby. Vimal " I was hoping so much. " She tried hard to tell herself that she was fine. Then Vimal took deep breath and said " I took appointment. Let's go to gynaecologist." She nodded. " But what about house? What will we do?" " If someone came watchman will tell them that you are gone out." " I am not talking about visiter. I am talking about interior!" Now this managed to shock Vimal. She was concerned about birth of child while Priti didn't seem that much interested in becoming mother. Vimal screamed on her " What kind of woman are you? Don't you want to become mother?" Answer was simple but Priti was so confused. She didn't say anything. Then Vimal started walking. Priti took car key and started walking behind her. She didn't talk to Vimal. She just followed her like obident child. She didn't say anything against her wishes. They went to doctor. Then they waited. Finally they entered. Doctor checked her. They asked questions. Finally gynaecologist suggested few tests. She nodded. Then after that Vimal called Ravi. He came from office. Vimal convinced him to do tests. He agreed too. But he was not convinced. Ravi " Mom I am happy with her why we need to do this?" " Since I insist." Then they kept doing tests. Finally everything came out fine. Gynaecologist said that they just needed patience. Vimal was happy. Then finally they started interior. Priti never objected anything and Ravi didn't like it. Ravi didn't feel that Priti was acting normal. She never objected anything. It was wrong.
Ravi began to pay attention to Priti. Soon he sensed his Mom was doing all. Priti was just nodding. He sensed that until now everytime his Mom did all. This was so wrong. Priti kept obeying. One day he finally asked. " What's wrong with you? Why don't you object? Why you feel so scared while taking your decisions!" She looked so nervous. " I am like that only." " Something is wrong.." As days started to move ahead Ravi began to feel more and more upset. He started to sense that Priti was taking advice of his Mom even for purchase of vegetables. She was getting so scared on every decision. Finally he took one decision. He decided to take her to psychiatrist. He told her and she agreed to it too. He thought that psychiatrist might call him over anxious about wife. But instead of that psychiatrist called him wise. Psychiatrist told him that Priti was suffering due to personal dependence disorder this happened due to her Mom who never let her gain her confidence when she was supposed to be taking decision her Mom took them all. She became incapable to take them even after marriage. Psychiatrist convinced them that she would be fine. Then they started her treatment. Slowly Priti began to decide. Soon she became pregnant. They sensed nothing was wrong. It proved that she knew better than Vimal. When they finally decided to do interior of their house. Priti decided all. When Vimal came she immediately taunted " You didn't choose right colour of tiles!" She smiled and said " I love them and finally I am going to stay here not those guests who come for sometime." Ravi smiled happily. Finally Priti started to speak what she wanted. He wanted to free her soul from cage of restrictions and finally mental treatment managed to give her freedom. She managed to speak what she wanted to. Ravi was on top of the world.
