Adventure story. 620. That enchanting song

                                   That enchanting song

Shruti was singing which started to create wonderful effect in entire society. It was so upsetting. She needed to feel happy. She wanted to feel pleasant in her mind. She wanted to imagine wonderful world. She was dreaming different things & she was trying to imagine different feeling through voices which used to show different touch of heart. It used to show new world to every one who used to listen it. Vedant was one of them. Shruti was never attached to him. He didn’t exist for Shruti. In fact they never talked with each other. He loved her music. He didn’t know her personally. But he liked her music. He knew that his life had issues. He got nice business from his father. It was giving him nice earning too. But his brother just wanted to married. His brother was obsessed with money. His brother was not ready to share it. His brother wanted all. Vedant gave extra for long time but now their business was not giving so much. Then Vedant didn’t have so much extra. Now he wanted his share too. His brother got nice job & his brother was settled too. Still that money was not enough. His Nephews were too demanding. Vendat didn’t say it on face to anyone but in Vendat’s view they were spoiled kids. His Nephews kept wasting money. One day they wanted one thing & next day they demanded different. He fulfilled their wishes when he was young & they were small but now it was becoming too much. Every day his brother kept coming. Of course he didn’t need to argue directly his father did it for him. He felt so nervous. He didn’t understand why his brother needed to act so selfish. Entire atmosphere of his house was affecting due to him. His parents were always tense. His brother kept calling them & harassing. Now his brother wanted share of property. His Dad was planning to share all when his Dad was alive. It was so painful. He felt so sad. He wanted to feel happy. Whenever Shruti started to sing he felt so nice. He knew that he didn’t have any claim on her but still he wanted her to sing every day. Entire society loved her voice. But now Vedant was so scared. He noticed her parents were inviting many young men in their house. They were trying to find suitable husband for Shruti it suggested that she would left that house forever. He wanted to tell himself that she would always keep singing but she wouldn’t. Even today he could sense one excitement in her voice. He was so sad. Sometimes he felt that he might invite her in his home. But he didn’t find some cause of invitation. In fact he didn’t know anything about her. They were never in same circle & he regretted it. He wanted to invite her. Then he began to think about occasion. He found one. It was Diwali. They were giving party for it. He knew that he could & few. He smiled & went out for Diwali card. But when he picked it, he suddenly began to feel scared. He needed her positive response. But he was not sure. Then he felt that he didn’t need to worry. He was handsome & intelligent too. She would surely admire him. It was so odd. He was feeling so tense. He decided that this time he would invite Shruti’s family. He called security guard. He waited in relaxed mood. He didn’t want security to guess his motive. Guard came running. “ Sir what happened?” “ Actually this time I want to call some more people. New people..do you know who sing those songs?…” “ Ohh Tanvi Madam!” Now this was shocking he always thought name of girl was Shruti. He once asked his Mom she said Shruti. “ Tanvi? Mom said Shruti?” “ No…no Sir. That was different girl. She stay next to Tanvi Madam. Shruti is daughter of diamond Merchant who stay next door & Tanvi is wife of clark.” “ Now this was shocking!” He said it without realising. “ Why Sir? Tanvi Madam learnt music from college. She was going to some class too before her marriage.” He just nodded. Now this was upsetting but at same time he sensed one thing that now singer would stay there permanently. He smiled & said “Then invite that couple.” Security looked confused. “ Yes are you sure?” “ What is issue?” “ Her husband Vishal was not pleasant person Sir. He kept getting in argument. He might insult some guests due to his arrogance. We don’t need that type of guests Sir.” Vedant felt so sad. He wanted to 

call Tanvi at least one time. Security “ Let’s invite Shruti’s family instead. I can suggest her to bring Tanvi with her. After all Shruti is good friend of Tanvi. If we give indirect invitation. Vishal wouldn’t behave in wrong way.” Vedant  nodded but he was not happy. He didn’t understand if he wanted to meet Tanvi or not. One thing was sure that he couldn’t make friendship with her. After listening about her husband he decided that he didn’t want to keep friendship with her. He didn’t want to make friendship with one bully. He said slowly “ It’s alright. No need.” Security guard nodded. Then Vedant began to listen to music again. Now he was happy about one thing that he didn’t need to worry about his singer getting married off. She was already married. He smiled sweetly. Then he began to listen to her voice. He could sense different appeal. She was taking him in different world with her voice. She was miracle of God. He kept listening. Then he sensed that his mobile was ringing. He saw unknown call. He decided to take any way. “ Hello…” “ You like her voice! Don’t you? You like her too. You want her in your…” he screamed loudly “Just shut up. “ then that voice changed. It was manly at beginning now it started to look little bit like female. It seemed as if someone was changing voices. “ What is use of lying? You are after unknown girl. Aren’t you?” “ I am just listening to her voice. Shut up.” Then he started abusing that person. He was so angry that he didn’t sense his Mom was standing in his room. His Mom asked nervously “ Who was it?” “ I don’t know some stupid man calling to irritate me. They enjoy to harass people.” “ Why you took unknown number? I told you many times to avoid it!” “ Mom it’s okay. That man can’t harm me on phone.” He didn’t know why but he felt so sure that it was Vishal. It was possible to due to description of him by Security guard. But he was sure that it was Vishal. He just went away from window & decided that he didn’t want to talk about that voice again.

    Tanvi was singing again after few days. It was truly odd timing of night. Vedant normally fall asleep by that time but on that day. He was awake due to some work. He needed to try to earn more in business. He was working hard. He didn’t want to keep harassing his Father. He wanted to increase income & earn it. He was so tense about project so he wanted to relax. He just went in Balcony at night. He could hear her voice clearly. It was so pleasant. He couldn’t stop himself from listening to it in moonlight. He was so unique to observe moon while listening to that enchanting voice. It was just wonderful. He was so happy. He totally forgot that phone call. He began to listen to her. He got so enchanted. He kept listening to her with full attention. He began to get so relaxed & dreamy. He sat on floor of Balcony. He totally forgot all. His Balcony didn’t have chairs. He was sitting on floor full of dirt. But he didn’t care. He slowly sat on it. He kept listening. He was in his own world. He didn’t understand when slowly his sleep took hold of him. He suddenly woke up. He sensed that entire sky was dark & every light was close. He looked around every thing was so dark. He didn’t open light of Balcony. It was totally dark. He was so scared. He didn’t understand how could he get so obsessed with some song. He didn’t acted in normal way. He suddenly felt so scared. He stood up & started to walk. He suddenly felt as if someone was standing behind. He wanted to turn but he knew that it was impossible to see anything in this dark. He needed to find door & go in his room. He began to search for his door. He was so scared. He started to try to press finger to find door to that side. He started to find lock. He began to search for door. He suddenly began to feel so scared. He began to feel someone was standing just behind him. He started feel some shadow was behind him. He began to get restless. He started to feel so cold. He knew that it was something bad. Something evil! He could sense it. It was following him. He felt so scared. He wanted to control his fear but he couldn’t. He knew that he needed someone to find door for him. He began to scream like mad man. “ Help…Help. I am stuck here. Please somebody open door.” He was screaming so loudly soon some people started to come to Balcony. Then Security guard came too. Security guard screamed “ I am coming.” He took breath of relief. He knew that now he could go inside then he noticed people standing in Balcony. All were watching him. No one was happy about his screaming. He managed to disturb all. He saw two women standing together & one man laughing in odd way beside them. That man was clearly abusing him & enjoying it. He watched carefully & he sensed that was flat from where he heard voice. There were two flats on that floor. He didn’t understand which girl was Shruti & which was Tanvi. He could see anyone properly in that light. But he could see Vishal properly it was so odd. After long time finally door opened & he ran in his room. He was shivering. He looked in mirror. He was totally dirty. He kept looking towards himself. He was looking like some beggar. He didn’t understand why this was happening to him. He was not madly in love with that woman whom he never met. Then he sensed even married one. He couldn’t expect that to happen. He was so confused. He ran in washroom. He totally forgot to take clothes. His Mom slowly took out clothes from cupboard. His Mom gave those clothes to him after knocking. It was more embarrassing. He screamed on his Mom loudly “ I am not little boy. I have bathrobe inside.” “ Really? Then why you screamed so loudly & manage to wake Society.” It was voice of his brother. His brother was there. No he sensed that it was just in his mind. Then when slowly his clothes pushed inside he sensed that his brother was truly there so he was staying with them once again. When his brother will give them break & let them live happily? He knew that it was never going to happen. His brother knew that he had right over house. In fact his brother had right on everything. He didn’t understand why he didn’t have anything belong to him. He felt that he was not abusive enough, he felt so sad. He started crying in washroom. He kept crying & screaming in washroom with hope. He felt so sad. He began to let it go out. Then finally he controlled himself & smiled. He looked in mirror. He saw his face. It was not perfect but he knew that it was presentable. He got dressed & came out. “ I heard some sound. I went in Balcony & then suddenly that door closed.” Security guard “ It must be cat.” He nodded. Then he went towards his bed & said “ Let’s go to sleep.” All looked towards him with shock. But they nodded. He immediately closed light & they all went away one by one. He was so scared. He didn’t understand why did he gone out. Now he decided that he would never listen to that music it was cursed. He suddenly took one decision. He decided that he would keep headphones in his ear to stop that music. He went to sleep peacefully. Next morning he woke up by voices of screaming & crying. He didn’t understand what was going on. He checked timing. It was 1’o clock of afternoon. No doubt he was overslept. It was so stressful to open his eyes. His entire body was paining. He began to doubt that he might have fever. He checked. He didn’t. He was just feeling so sick. He decided to keep sleeping. He could clearly hear voice of his brother. “ Vedant is still sleeping.” No one answered. “ I am telling you. You are making him totally useless. He didn’t do anything. He needed to earn.” Vedant felt so sad. He was working on their business but it was not enough. He never thought about getting separate job. He was so sure that he did right thing. He was so stressed. He knew that now how hard he might try he couldn’t manage to get over this situation. He felt most hurt when his Dad said “ He is my son. I need to take care of him.” “ But yesterday he created so much drama. All Society understood that he was unsound. He was odd one from beginning.” Vedant felt so upset. He could still hear those odd sounds of crying & screaming but he was too tired. He kept sleeping for some days. His Mom was only person who came in his room to give food to him. He took whatever his Mom gave & ate. He didn’t feel he would survive. Everything was so useless. 

      Vedant’s Mom was so confused. Vedant was acting so strange. Mom always loved Vedant she cared for him. In her eyes her elder son was too selfish. Vedant did all for parents while his brother did all for himself & his family. Step by step his brother was managing to set Vedant’s father against him. It was so stressful. Vedant didn’t understand what he wanted. Vedant was little confused in his life. His Mom wanted Vedant to go out in world. But his father always objected. But today his Mom planned all. She was going to send Vedant to his cousin’s marriage. It was perfect for him for him to make contacts. Vedant’s Mom went in his room. Vedant immediately sat. He said “ Today I will go to office to check business..” “ No need. I want you to go to cousin’s marriage. Do you remember we have one house there?” He started to remember then he remembered it was that house on which there was dispute. He asked “ You got that house back?” His Mom smiled & said “ Yes.” Then his Mom gave keys to him “& this house belonged to you. It is small.” He smiled & said “ But perfect for me.” He took keys & he started packing bags. Mom slowly asked “ Took some clothes for wedding too.” He nodded. But he was not planning to go to any wedding. He hated most of the relatives there. He just wanted some time to think about himself. He packed his bags & literally ran to book car. He wanted to drive himself. He needed to enjoy driving, he wanted to relax himself. When he drove he began to relax. He started to laughing. He needed to close negative thoughts & start positive hopes. He went out & selected one nice car from rental agency. He came with it. Then he immediately began to load all luggage. He started to take bag one by one when suddenly his brother entered. His brother “ Now where are you going?” Then his brother made such a face. That it would make clear to his mind that everything about him was less. His brother had that skill. Vedant just turned his face away towards trees. His brother began “ Vedant you are not earning at all. What you do in our father’s company is not that much useful. You need to learn to save if you can’t earn so you must value what our father earn.” He didn’t say anything. His brother continued “ Tomorrow you might get married. You need to act responsible. Just think peacefully. You are damaging your habits. When you will marry someone if you don’t learn budget then you will become just burden.” He sensed one thing that he was not worthy to get married. He said slowly “ I am not planning to get married.” He didn’t waited for his brother’s reply. He just sat in car & started driving. He began to feel so happy with that song. He started to feel wonderful meaning in it. He wanted to whistle happily but it was so scared. It was risky. If some girl was around, they might assume he was whistling them. Then he sensed that he was in his own car. So he began to whistle & relax himself. It was so odd. Those boys who misbehaved managed to settle in life. Their crimes became mistakes & got forgiven. But he was suffering without cause. He was not planning to marry. His brother managed to convince him again & again that he was not suitable as husband for anyone. He was so sad but at same time he was relieved that he was not marrying. He smiled. He kept concentrating on music. He wanted to drive peacefully. He began to feel relaxed. Finally he reached to home. He opened door with key. He loved smell of new paint. It was so nice. He was so happy. He looked around in that house. He was so happy on that point he heard voice. He was shocked when he noticed a small boy was playing inside. He ran towards that kid. But then he suddenly sensed that it was his exact image of childhood. Then he heard voice of his Mom. He knew that it was his Mom who was coming in room. It was his memory but it seemed so alive as if he could touch it. He went ahead towards it. He tried to touch & it vanished. He felt so scared. He started to sense one thing that he was going to lose his mind. He needed Psychiatrist. Without second thought he called his Doctor & asked for number which was forwarded to him immediately. He called Psychiatrist. Psychiatrist told him to come on Video Chat. For long time he talked with Psychiatrist cried & explained his troubles. Slowly Psychiatrist listened then Psychiatrist talked. Psychiatrist explained that he was having nervous breakdown due to stress in his house. Psychiatrist told that it was not unique. That hallucination was generated due to his desire for childhood. Psychiatrist suggested some medicines too. Vedant ordered it. Vedant received them. Vedant took them. He went to sleep peacefully on that night. Slowly he began to relax. He kept video chatting to Psychiatrist & even took appointment to visit when he would come back in city. Psychiatrist gave him confidence & insisted that he must go to wedding. He felt scared but then he agreed. He got ready to go for wedding. He took out clothes which his Mom packed forcibly. He went there. He danced happily in wedding. He was feeling so relaxed. Then he came back. He was happy & confident. He started moving ahead in life. Whenever his brother told anything he used headphones to avoid listening. He didn’t forgot Psychiatrist’s appointment. After some time his treatment was over. He decided to get married to simple girl who didn’t demand too much from him. His father divided remaining business but they kept staying with his parents. His brother tried to argue but his father kept that house in name of Vedant. His brother didn’t want responsibility so agreed but his brother took extra share of business. Vedant kept doing business. Now he didn’t like music that much. He hated music. He told his wife all about it so she never insisted on music. So his life was without music but still he was happy with it. He could tolerate music but he didn’t like it. He couldn’t appreciate even greatest music of world. That mental issue took away his love towards music. But he accepted it since he was living his life normal & better now.
